Such a big price difference

Hello,
Does someone know why there's such a huge difference between price in $ and price in Euro?
I checked the price of Premiere CS6 full English it cost 799$ at international store and 1,087 Euro in Italian Adobe Online Store even to make 1:1 exchange rate it's very great the difference.
Question n.2 I have another Premiere licence 5.1 which isn't listed on upgrade menu can I apply for a special offer to some address?
Thanks for helping.
Angelo

The price difference between Europe and the US/Canada is being explained by Adobe as the different support policies that apply. In Europe you have free support, in the US/Canada you have to pay for it.
Personally I think this is a crap argument, given the track record of Adobe support, but it may make sense to the marketeers. Now, I may not be the regular Adobe user, but that support argument does not apply to me, your case may be different, but given the choices, I rather buy in the US using physical delivery to a US address and have it shipped out to Europe by a friend than paying the extravagant price in Europe just to get free support, which in practice means I have to teach these support guys what they should be testing/solving.
CAUTION: Non-US credit card payments are not accepted for US delivery. You have to figure out a way to buy CS6 with a US credit card number. It really looks like discrimination and not from the internet age, but Adobe really should make a more uniform pricing policy and payment acceptance on a global scale.

  • What about the big price-difference

I want to upgrade/update My Photoshop & Premiere Elements.
When I go to the Adobe-site and select the US-region, it costs 119,99 € (94,72 €), when I select the European (Belgian) region, it costs 126,99 €.
Can someone explain the big difference.  I would understand if it was a boxed version (shipping cost) but it is the download-version.

Adobe always maintains that the cost of doing business in Europe is higher than in the United States. For example promotion and marketing costs, local partners and offices, accounting and language differences. These do not permit the same economies of scale as in the US. Also, Adobe delivers products across Europe out of its EU headquarters in the Republic of Ireland which has a sales tax of 23%. Adobe also maintains that re-sellers are free to set their own prices.
What is disappointing is that re-sellers appear to be no longer offering updates. For example Amazon is only offering the full version of PSE13/PRE13 whereas in the past it was offering the equivalent version 12 updates for 119.90 euros.

If you can wait, prices often drop around the holiday period at Christmas and the black Friday sales around New Year.

  • Price difference-when process change

    Hi,
Presently in costing sheet there are two continuous processes, both are considered as SFG (semi finished goods). The SFG 1 material in first process is the BOM part of the second process SFG 3 material. Both process has different cost centres, overheads and cost elements.
Now the second process of SFG material takes more than 9 months. So want to show this WIP under maturation stock, as separate stock under new SFG 2 material, with some value addition (considered as activity). This new process related SFG 2 material BOM will contains the first process SFG 1 material. And this new SFG 2 material code will be the part of BOM of the last process SFG 3 material.
Now there are 2 issues we are facing.
    1st query:
In quality server after transporting the request from Development, Price difference account is generated while production of the 3rd Process SFG 3 material.
Production made for 1000 AL Qty (Base Qty of BOM 1000 AL and Costing lot size 1000 AL ) and in the entry we are getting the Price difference entry as shown below.
    Dr. Inventory SFG3 - 105,897.43
    Cr. Incr/Decr/Cons SFG 3 - 105,900.00
    Cr. Price difference - 2.57
    Cr. Inventory SFG2 - 94,550.00
    Dr. Incr/Decr/Cons SFG2 - 94,550.00
Standard cost of SFG 3 for 1000 AL is 105,897.43 and Standard cost of SFG 2 for 1000 AL is 94,550.00
May i know why the price difference account is picked up while doing the production of existing material SFG 3, when there is no such difference in development server. And no Price difference account in Quality server before introducing the new process?

  • Price Difference: Out of box w/ Missing Accessories vs Out of box w/o Missing Accessories?

    Hello
Ok, so I need some help.
Last night, I purchased a Samsung 55" TV out of box. When I went home to install my brand new (used) TV. It was missing the power cord! After further examination, it was also missing the IR Extender Cable and the batteries.
On the label, it said it was "no missing accessories" but unfortunately, it was missing some key accessories to run the tv. I talked to the store and they were unable to provide me with the missing accessories and that I had to buy them individually and despite being labeled as "no missing accessories," that's the true cost of the TV.
My question, is that price correct, would there be a price difference if a out of box tv had all the accessories vs not having all the accessories?
I just want to make sure I paid the true value of the TV. As I see it, the TV may have been priced based on all the accessories but since the TV is missing accessories, the price of the TV may be different.
    Your thoughts?

    Hello ItsJTP,
Open box items are a great way to save on some of your favorite devices! It is sad to hear that this experience may not have met your expectations or been what we hope for our customers purchasing such items. I am sorry for any concern this may have caused you.
Open box items should be marked appropriately for any missing pieces or accessories, and then priced accordingly. With that said, unfortunately I am unable to know whether this was priced correctly, and missing accessories listed incorrectly, or if the missing accessories were listed incorrectly and thus the price was not appropriate.

  • Price Difference account at the time of Order Settlement

    Hi SAP Gurus
While doing Period End Activities in Controlling, Variances are getting posted to Price difference account (P&L account), similarly at the time of MIRO also, any adjusted amount of a material, is getting posted to price difference a/c if the material stock is not available.
Please help me where this Price diffrence account is assigned or mapped in sap, and how it getting affected while settling orders.
    Expecting an immediate reply.
    Regards
    Praveen Kumar.B

    Hi Ganesh
Thanks for valuable advice, but in our case when i double click PRD, there is only one account is mapped in our chart of accounts, But there is no field for Valuation class, from Account field and to account field,
only one field is there by nme Account, where in Price difference account is maintained.
I don't have the option of linking Valuation class with GL Accounts of RM & Semi Finished Materials.
How can make those fields to be shown in that Screen.
If  i check for other chart of accounts, it is showing 3 fields
such as Valuation class, from account no & to account no.
but for our chart of account only one filed "account" is displayed in the screen.
    Please help me out.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Why is the price difference of apple products in different countries? For example in UAE price is different as compared to Germany?

Why is the price difference of apple products in different countries? For example in UAE price is different as compared to Germany?
MacBook Pro with retina price in US is USD1299 and same product price in Germany is 1299 Euro. Why???

Obviously all the answers up here are true.. but I think that was not the real meaning behind the question.
Every country has different currencies that not only convert differently to others but have a different and relative value for the inhabitants. For example although Forex says 1,3$ = 1€  for the average European and American 1$=1€.. that means that roughly inside your country what you buy inUS for 1$ you get in Europe for 1€ (ex: McDonalds hamburger).
Also each country has it's own taxes, different renting prices (for apple store), different VAT, etc...
But the real question is. Is Apple NEUTRAL to market conditions?
This means... does Apple adapt their margin on products to local conditions or not?
To make it simple... Let's say Apple ... everything considered... gets 100$ for an iPhone sold in US... Will Apple fix their price in other countries so that, after paying local taxes, local costs, etc... still.. for each iPhone they earn 100$ ??
Or they have different market strategies such as rising the prices in countries where people are richer and more likely to buy iPhones even if "overcharged"? Or on the other side.. do they lower prices in poor countries (obviously not under production cost) to help locals buy in Iphone?
I think that Apple is doing their best to stay neutral to the market.. that is... We want 100$ at the end of the day.. whatever...
So we have paradoxes because in some countries iPhone costs more while in these countries people earn less  (and I think this is not random.. but happens because.. usually.. countries with more regulations and taxes are also countries with lower wages... but that's politics!)
Here is a small comparison of iPhone 6 (16 Gb version) prices:
USA 550€........................ Average GDP per person  51.704 $  (calculated with California sales tax)
Switzerland 629 €............ Average GDP per person 44.864$
United Kingdom 687€....... Average GDP per person 36.569 $
Gerany 699€.................... Average GDP per person 38.666 $
France 709€................... Average GDP per person 35.295 $
    Italy 729€........................Average GDP per person 29.812 $
As you can see Apple seems not to care about living conditions in the country or about average wages etc.. they just have their price adjusted to local regulations and taxes. Europe has 2years warranty service for items sold in Apple Stores (and 1 for items sold in other stores where Apple is responsible only for the first year). We also have some other taxes... For example, here in Italy, we have a tax on hard drives (goes by the Gbyte) that affects any multimedia product. Tax is meant to finance artists whom you are supposedly "stealing" by having unauthorised copies on your portable device...  (I know.. is ridiculous). Etc...

  • Invoice verification price difference

    Hi,
During the point of invoice verification, we'd like to capture the
price difference of some items related to certain item category to a different account (Provision or Price Difference account) instead of posting to the Cost of Sales. Currently under the transaction OBYC, there seemed to be no such functionality. Does anyone know how to configure this?  Must it be made through CMOD?
    Cheers,
    Gimmo

    Dear Gimmo,
Following is my thought on this.
    1) Since you want to post price diffrence is Price diffrence account , basic requirement is that in Material Master record price control to be standard i.e "S".
    2) If you want to post this amount to seperate GL account , you can achieve this through automatic account determination using account modifier group for this transaction event key.
    For ex.
    Client   C acct    Trans   Val Gp  " AG "     V class  G/L a/c
    400       INT        GBB     001       " BSA"      3000    400000
Please check is it useful to you?
    If so reward points,
    Vivek Maitra

  • Is there a big performance difference between HD's

    Hi All
Is there a big performance difference between a 5400 & 7200 Rpm hardrive? I'm asking because I want to pick up a new Imac and am stuck between choosing the higher end 21.5" and lower end 27" and am trying to determine if the difference in price is worth the extra sheckles.

I was wanting to know the same question (5400rpm vs. 7200rpm) in a 15" standard MBP, deciding on whether to get a 1TB serial ATA drive @ 5400rpm vs. a 750GB serial ATA drive @ 7200rpm. (Sorry to jump in)
For the most part, I'm a general user - web surfing/research, Word processing/Excel/Powerpoint (pretty basic), etc. BUT I do like to take alot of photos and plan on doing some editing on them (nothing advanced) and creating slideshows with my photos/music (ex. my Europe trip of photos or a slideshow of the grandchildren as a gift to my parents, etc.)
Some folks mention "video editing" in reference to gonig with the faster speed (7200rpm) if that's what you plan on doing. But, what do they exactly mean by "video editing"? Is slideshow creation the same?
Just wondering for my needs, whether I should go with the 750GB serial ATA drive @ 7200 rpm or the 1TB serial ATA drive @ 5400rpm ($50 more yet with more storage space which would help with my increasing photo files every year).
    Thanks

  • IPhone versus iPod Touch, price differences COMPLAINT

hello, I am from belgium, and I am starting to wonder why I bought a iPhone 4, while 3 months later, the new iPod Touch comes out, and basically can do everything a iPhone can?
Here in Belgium the iPhone costs 639€ wich is I guess more then 650$, while for the new ipod touch, the price has been set at about 230$ if I'm right?
Could someone tell me WHY we are forced to pay roughly 400$ more just to have 3G and GPS?????
how is this even possible? should I have to live in the US to get regular prices for apple products?!

Tamara; I know this, but I do not understand a price difference of over 400$ for a extra chipset that offers 3G/Edge/GPRS & GPS. I know the ipod does not have it, and I know I am not forced to buy one over the other or any of them at all.
I'm actually very pleased with my product, but I do not understand how the price difference can be that high? The ONLY difference, is the addition of the chipset for cellphone usage!
The ipod even has the camera now ! ( and without the simcard, I don't think the ipod makes the user pay the additional 0,20 c that iPhone 4 users pay for one time activation - each time the iPhone is restored though - for facetime... )
I don't understand how 2 products with such small ( even though important ) differences can have a that price difference as well

  • Big price hike for macbooks recently?

I bought mine 3 months ago for about $1,000 at B&H. (2.4ghz). Now they have the same model for $1270. The only difference is they're throwing in a sleeve and calling it a "kit".
Is this just an Apple thing? Economy perhaps? A 25% jump is kind of steep. All the other places I researched before I bought at B&H have gone up too.
I wanted to get another macbook for one of my kids going off to college next fall. I really didn't anticipate such a drastic price change though.

Prices from resellers are not determined by Apple. They are basically free to set whatever prices they can get based on configurations, giveaways, etc.
Currently you can buy the new unibody MacBook in the 2.4 GHz model from Apple at the retail price of $1599. The White MB model that has been updated with the Nvidia 9400M graphics chip and 2.0 GHz processor is $999 from Apple.
If your child purchases after enrolling in college then he/she can purchase at the academic discount price of $1499 and $949 for the above models, respectively.
The 2.1 and 2.4 GHz White MacBooks are no longer manufactured having been supplanted by the new unibody models and the new White model. The latter is now the only MacBook model with FireWire support. The new unibody models do not have FireWire. I'm guessing the price of the previous models have gone up because they are now scarce, and cannot be ordered from Apple.
You can check Apple's prices and availability of refurbished MacBooks although it's unlikely you will find the previous MB models even amongst the refurbs from Apple. However, you can check resellers other than B&H such as Expercom.

  • Price difference after return of saled goods.

    Hi gurus,
Please help me to solve one scenario.
I sale X material for Y price to my customer. But due to some problem if he returns my material.

  • Price Difference A/c is debiting instead of Raw Material A/c when MIGO

    Hi Experts,
Please can any body help me regarding FI-MM integration.
When do the MIGO transaction as per standard - Debit is Raw Material A/c and Credit GR/IR Clearing A/c.
But in my System Debit is Price Difference A/c and Credit is GR/IR Clearing A/c is taking, because Price Difference A/c is coming from PRD transaction Key where I given Price Difference A/c. Why system is not taking Raw Material A/c from BSX transaction key.
Please help me as soon as possible.
    Regards,
    KBR.

    Hi..
      I want to add :
If you want to maintain Price Control as "S" then maintain standard price (MR21).
Then stand price will hit BSX nad diff between PO price and Stnd Price will go to PRD a/c.

  • GR / IR and Price Differences

    Hi
    A question on price differences.
We currently post our price differences at goods receipt (PO price - Std price).
And secondly at invoice receipt (PO price - Actual price)
In order to be able to analyze easier, we want to post goods receipts always against standard price.
At invoice receipt the full price differences should be posted then.
Does anyone know if and how this setting is possible in SAP ?
    Thanks.

    Hi
If PO is created for 90 then how you are paying 93 to vendor. You are following PO based IV?
If you want to pay more to vendor then better to use the option debit material in IV.
In MIRO enter 90 in item details and 3 in material tab and 93 in invoice amount field.
    Then your postings will be
    GR/IR 90 debit
    Material 3 debit
    Vendor 93 credit.
    Thanks

  • GR and IR price difference.

    Hello Gurus,
I am facing one issue. We have a PO created of lets say 1000 qty and the condition rate for it is 1.5. Now GR is been done of 100 qty then in the GR, the amount is local currency should be 150, but the amount is coming entirely different. It is higher than 150, say 170. Now when i am doing IR at that time 150 is coming as the value and hence there is a difference in IR and GR. I checked the currency and its all same. Also I checked the exchange rate, that is also same. Please let me know from where Amount field in GR comes. Is it calculated through Moving Average price in MM.

Amount in GR comes from standard cost in material master. Entry will be:
    Inventory A/c Dr           170
To GR/IR A/c                       150 (based on condition rates)
To Price Difference A/c           20 (difference between standard price and condition rate)
At the time of invoice receipt:
    GR/IR A/c  Dr             150 (Original condition amount)
Price Difference A/c      10 (new price increase)
To Vendor A/c                     160 (total vendor liability)
    Please award points if useful.
