Support "notifications"?

I have been getting a surprisiing volume of junk emails that purport to be from some "support" service.  Some are labeled "Apple Support" , some seem to come from Facebook and some are labeled "Gmail support."  Thankfully they are diverted to my junk mail folder so they're not a serious problem.  They are all really just Via*gra ads in disguise.  And, they all come to me at my mac.com address.
So, the junk mail filter works, but-----why do I get these?  Who sends them?  And, how come my mac.com address is so accessible to spammers?

Someone got your email address either by hacking into one of your friends' addressbooks, from a company/person that sells email addresses (it's a big business), or whatever - there isn't much you can do about spam. If it gets too annoying, change your email address. As to who sends them - spammers; people who are being paid to do it - look at the expanded headers and you'll see they're from all over the globe. Even if you block that address, they'll send another after changing just one letter in their address......

  • Service desk - SLM 7.0.1 - assign support notification (SFLN)

    Hello everyone,
    I am trying to customize SolMan Service Desk, but there are so many things that I am not able to make such as :
    - creating new messages subjects
    - assigning support notification (SFLN) to a team or person, according to these support notification
    I mean, if a user A connected to the Service Desk chose to create a "Technical problem" support notification, it will be automatically assigned to the technical support team.
    Is it possible ? Do we have to manage Business partners to handle that ?

    Yes, it is possible. You need to define rules in transaction PFAC for this.  Check SAP Note 1512895 - Support team determination + e-mail notific. to support team.

    There is a major change of inclusion of CRM ITSM in solman 7.1 that is why you might be confused.
    Anyway let me explain
    enter the tcode solman_workcenter in solman choose the incident management tab
    now  on the left side you can see an action for Create support message
    thus clicking on it will open the browser for posting messages
    (the same can be shared with end user for message posting )
    further once posted it is accessible in this incident management tab for further processing and you get the status wise queries in overview.

  • Confirmation of Support notification and Change request.

    In my clinets landscape we are using ChaRM for Change requests and Urgent correction. We have two situation here to handle.
    1. I (Change Manager) should only be able to confirm a support notification if all the dependent/subsequent change requests have been confirmed
    2. I (Change Manger) should only be able to confirm a change request if all the dependent/subsequent urgent corrections have been confirmed.

    Hi,
    you can customize that your change request will automatically get a new status if the linked urgent correction reached a specific satus.
    You can then do the same with support message and change request. This will lead to a chain where your support message is confirmed automatically if your urgent correction is confirmed.

  • Sold to Party in Support notification

    Hi Gurus
    Is it possible to populate Sold-to-Party and Requestor automatically in the Support notification in Solman? We have same username in Soution Manager and other satellite systems. The corresponding BP's are also there in the solution Manager system.
    We have only one Sold-To-Party and that needs to be populated automatically whenever a user create a messages. Also the requestor BP also needs to be populated automatically.
    Our Solution manager system is Solman 7.0 EHP1 SPS25.

    Hi,
    Yes, it is possible. You need to define Sold to Party for your IBase in IB52 and you need to define BP for all users in solution manager system. Please make sure that in BP for each user, corresponding system field should be populated so that requester field in Support desk message will be automatically populated.

    We are not able to enter "QA OK date" for any Support Notification in solution manager.
    Recently we have migrated the instance from Windows to  HPUX. After the migration this problem occurring.

    If  the code you need to enter are numbers, you need to press the "function" key first (in the bottom left corner of the keyboard).

    Yes! Go to your Settings Tab of My Oracle Support.
    To the left is a link called Hot Topics E-mail.
    You can add products to receive updates on patches and articles.

    Work Around:
    On your mac:
    1.  Open a new email
    2.  Insert name of an existing group into one of the "To" fields as usual.
    3.  Highlight all the resulting names in the "To" entry
         [Highlight first name, and while holding shift, highlight last name and all will highlight[]
    4. Copy (Command C) the highlighted emails
    5. Paste (Command V) nto a pages document
    6. Remove the name and anything else preceeding the first < and also the first < of only the first entry whixh will look like this:
         [email protected]>,
    7. Remove the > of the last email which will look like this:
         , Jane Doe <[email protected]
    8. Copy the entire altered list from the pages document
    9, Go to Contact Book and click + to add a new entry
    10.. Name the entry (XXX Group for iPad) or whatever you wish to call it
    11.  Paste all the copied altered list into any one of the email entry spaces
    12.  Click on "Done"
    13.  Create new email On iPad and click on + in any one of the "To" lines and search for "XXX Group for iPad"  You cannot just key in XXX Group for iPad!!!!!!!, you must use + contact search.
    14.  Enter the selected iPad contact group into the "To" line.
    15.  All the entries will now appear in the "To" line and you are good to go.
    Adding or deleting email addresses from the iPad group:
    Easiest:  Alter the original mac group in the usual way and repeat steps 1-14 above.  It seems impossible to edit within the emai line of the iPad contact entry.
    Rediculously simple once figured out.
    Happy emailling, but please send Bcc so that you don't spread your groups' email addresses all over the internet for spam, viruses, and other unwanted emails.  Be considerate and ask your recipients to notifiy you if they wish to be deleted from the lists you compose.

    If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
    Check Settings > Notifications to ensure that the app is configured for notifications.
    If notifications do not appear only in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.
    If you are still unable to receive notifications and you are using a Wi-Fi connection, verify that the network or firewall is not blocking access to port 5223.

    Sold to Party , IBASE & Component are not fetching the support message created from Satellite system BI.
    I have configured the Service Desk for satellite system ECC 6.0. Now I have configured it to BI, but Sold to party & IBASE & Component are not fetching in the support desk message.
    Following things done for adding satellite system BI to Solman.
    1) IBase creation for BI is done.
    2) SMSY configiration also done for BI
    3) BP no created in Solman, mapped identification also.
    What else i need to check.
    Can anybody tell me which roles I need to assign the BI end users for raising the message. Is this issue related to roles

    There are several predefined roles for Support Desk, containing specific authorizations.
    Rolle
    SAP_SUPPDESK_ADMIN Administrator role for Support Desk. Comprises
    authorizations to configure Support Desk
    SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS Role for processing Support notifications. Comprises all the
    authorizations for notification processing and using the Solution Database
    SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY General display role, no authorization to create or change
    notifications
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE Role to create Support notifications. This role must be
    assigned to both users who will create notifications in the
    SAP Solution Manager and to users who will create
    notifications from the satellite systems in the SAP Solution
    Manager.
