  • How to create a New ' Support Team ' in Solution manager Service desk

    Hi ,
How we can create new entries for ' Support Team ' in solution manager Service desk . Please provide me your great suggestions , thanks
    Regards
    Vivek

    Hello Vivek,
I am assuming that you have created BP for users. In this case right click on position assign Owner(Business partner).
user under that BP is automatically recognized.
If you not created BP then you have to activate the integration between business partners and employees by setting the switch HRALX/PBPON to 'ON'
read the document available at spro>sap solman imp guide>CRM>Master data>Business Partner-->Integration bP-org mgmt->setup integration with org mgmt.
also read the blog in my previous post.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Shyam.

    Hello Prashanth,
You, the Solution Manager version could be different than the version which help.sap.com describes. However, may I know which user and its authorizations you are using to create Support Message? Because, authorizations plays most important role.
Please go through the following links.

  • Howto Close support message in Solution Manager

    Hello,
Iu2019m installing and setting up the Service Desk on my Solution Monitoring system.
Iu2019m able now to create a support message in my satellite system with menu action u201CHelp  Create Support Messageu201D. The message is put in the queue and could be edited in the tr-Solution_Manager under the Item u201CService Desk  Messagesu201D. When I open a message Iu2019m able to change the status of the message form u201CNewu201D to u201C in progressu201D etc. but the item u201CConfirmedu201D is always gray!
Could anyone explain to me how I or the end user could confirm thesupport  message?
I couldnu2019t find a detailed description about the process flow only a global one.
    Thanks for the information.
    Kind regards,
    Richard Meijn

    Hi Meijn,
Already solved? If no, check the following customizing.
In SPRO, SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Service Desk -> Service Desk -> Status Profile -> Change Status Profile for User Status, then choose status profile "SLFN0001" or your customized profile.
"Lowest status no." and "Highest status no." shows which status it can be changed to.
For example, in the following case, you can not change the status from NEW to Confirmed. Also, you can not change it from WIP to NEW. In such cases, target status which you can not change to will be shown as gray in status list.
    Status  Text low high
    10   NEW  10  20
    20...WIP    20  40
    30...
    40   Confirmed 40 40
    I hope this could help...

  • Support Packs in Solution manager

    Hi,
I have a query, when I am going to select patches through maintenance optimizer for solution manager I can see the source and target stack level at SMP and when I am putting the source stack(17) and the target stack as latest, solution manager 7.0 EHP 1-23 and going further for download it shows the support packs corresponding to release 701 but not to 700, as my current support pack level for solman is 16(release 700) and I can see there are support pack level up to 21 for release 700, I am confused why it is not taking account the remaining patches for 700 or can I switch directly to 701 and apply the support packs corresponding to release 701.
    Regards,
    Mridul

    Dear Mirdul,
Check SAP note 1169247. In which it is mentioned that:
    ABAP stack requirements
You can start the SAINT update from any Solution Manager 7.0 ABAP Stack.
    Java stack requirements
A direct JSPM update to Solution Manager 7.0 Java Stack 18 and higher is not possible from some of the Java stacks. Therefore, proceed as follows: First, use the JSPM update to update the Java stack only to Solution Manager 7.0 Java stack 17 and then update to the relevant Solution Manager 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 Java stack.
Take the numbering into account: Solution Manager 7.0 Java stack 17 contains NetWeaver 7.0 Java stack 16.
Also, check point number 5 in that.
I think now it will be clear.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Error in xpras when importing support packages in solution manager

    Hello,
We are importing support packages in our solution manager and we begun
the process more than two weeks ago and the process is still running.
I have stopped the system and restarted the import again, but it seems
to be the same. The SP queue is:
    SAPK-1507EINSTPL
    SAPK-1507FINSTPL
    SAPK-1507GINSTPL
    SAPK-1507HINSTPL
    SAPK-1507IINSTPL
    SAPK-1507JINSTPL
    SAPKB70015
    SAPKA70015
    SAPKITL426
    SAPKIPYJ7F
    SAPKW70017

    SAPK-40013INCPRXRPM
    SAPK-40014INCPRXRPM
    SAPKNA7012
    SAPKNA7013
and there is an error (rc=12) at the method execution step in package SAPKU50012 or in SAPKB70016.
Now, there is an rc 12, but the queue is running, the import queue hasn't cancelled, but it seems to do nothing. The RDDEXECL job log is:
    Job started
Step 001 started (program RDDEXECL, variant , user ID DDIC)
All DB buffers of application server crosol203 were synchronized
Error Building the ENH TreeObject Type:XHObject Name:EH_FJ_FUBA_PARA_VERS
the job was running for 149.332 seconds and at that moment I stopped the sap system. After restating the system I imported the queue again and now, the process has been running for more than 13500 seconds.
We have checked note number 1142410 and all the modifications were already implemented in the system.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Ana.

    Hello Sunny,
The problem is still happening. I have read and apply all the threads you suggested, nut they didn't resolve the problem:
    I have updated the kernel
I have checked table DRSEG and it has no problems.
I don't have any syntax errors so I haven't run the SGEN as I think it doesn't apply.
After changing the kernel I have started the sap system and the job rddexecl has started itself before running again the SPAM and reimporting the queue.
I already have 6 support packages without running the method execution step and I don't know how much time it will consume.
    Regards,
    Ana

  • Best way to apply Support Packages to Solution Manager

We have a single instance dual stack for SOLMAN 4 running. I want to apply Suppot packages, I need some suggestion what would be the best way to do this, the way I am thinking to proceed for this is -
    1. Do kernel and igs upgrade thru JSPM
    2. Apply ABAP Support packages and then,
    3. apply JAVA support packages
Is it possible to apply ABAP support packages with JSPM?
    Any suggestion would be helpful

Patch your abap stack first then the java...
No, its not possible to pacth abap with JSPM (JAVA Support Package Manager)
