Tagging text boxes so that they are read in a particular order

I created a one page MSWord 2007 document that contains a screen image in the middle with numbered text boxes around it explaining the various features found in the image. The numbered boxes go clockwise around the image. How can I set this up so that when it's converted to PDF, the PDF screen reader will read the items in the proper order? Is it even possible to do this??

Thank you for your quick response to my question! I am not an experienced Adobe user, so I had to search for the functions you suggested.
I could not find the "Acrobat Tags pane". Is this in MSWord or in Acrobat? I figured out how to add 'text' tags in Acrobat, because the option to add 'paragraph' tags was not there. I also figured out how to change the reading order of the tags and confirmed the order was correct with the 'read out loud' tool. However, I can't figure out how to retrieve the "Page Thumbnails pane". Adobe sure likes to make things complicated!!
One other question, when I created the 'text' tags for each of my text boxes, the number image I used within the text box was not captured. I guess that makes sense since the text box is tagged as 'text and the number image is an image'. I suppose the order in which the content is read aloud is important, but hearing the numbers isn't. The numbers correspond to numbers on the image, which they may not be able to see. I used the pop-up text from various buttons/tabs/icons from the web page (which is the image I am explaining in this document) and used that text in the text boxes, where applicable. I think this makes the document as accessible as possible....

Copying empty text boxes so that when you fill in one the others

I use Acrobat Professional 8. I size a blank text box... it's automatically labelled "Text1". I can copy the empty box by holding the Control key down and moving the box. Now I have 2 boxes. If I want to do 3 boxes, I repeat that action. The only problem is this: They all say "Text1" and if you fill in the first box, all the other boxes are filled in with the same information. Here is my question: How do I copy empty text boxes so that this doesn't happen; that is, how do I copy the boxes such that if I fill in the first box, all the other boxes remain empty until I go and fill them? Somethings to try:
Give each of the replicated Text boxes a unique name (Text1, Text2, Text3, etc.)
Or, place Text1 then from the context menu select "Place Multiple Fields".
This replicates the first and provides a unique Name to each.
Position each field as desired.

You can set any song to Skip when shuffling.
In your iTunes Library, highlight the song and right-click/Get Info. On the Options tab is the Skip when shuffling box. Select that and then Sync the iPod with your Library.

In System Preferences>Fax & Print, Right click or Control+click on the Printers list Sidebar, choose Reset Printing System.
if you hold option and click the "-" tab it resets the printing system.

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions.
Any devices that previously appeared in your Printer List and Fax List will need to be added again after resetting the printing system.

In Applications/Utilities open the Keychain Access app.
Have the Login item in the top left panel selected and Passwords in the lower left.
Find the AIM entry on the right
Double Click
Tick the Password box.
In the dialogue box that appears enter your Mac User Password and click the Allow Once button
The password will show in the text field next to the box.

I have since fiund out that the talk to text feature is only available on devices that support Siri, iPad3, iPhone4 and later. Hope this helps someone else.

Welcome to the Apple community.
A number of people have reported similar issues recently, many appear to have found a discrepancy of some kind in their account settings and making changes to these settings or simply resetting them has resolved the matter.
Check your account details are correct, check that you are using the correct details for Location, Region and Time Zone. You may want to change these settings and then change them back to see if that helps.
You might also try logging out of and then back into your iTunes account (Settings > iTunes Store > Apple ID’s > Sign Out) and restarting your router. (Some have reported that after doing this, they need to check for rentals even though it may report that there aren’t any, after which rentals once again appear in the ‘movies’ feature)
Rentals should appear under their own heading in the ‘Movies’ feature, you might also check at Settings > iTunes Store > Check For Rentals.

If you used the "Manage your Apple ID" login at https://appleid.apple.com to simply change your primary email address of your existing AppleID, then all you need do is log out of iCloud and then log back in with the new email. If on an iOS device, go to settings, delete the iCloud account, and then log back into it with the new email address.
If you actually created a wholly new AppleID, then you cannot change that for your existing iCloud address. You can make a new iCloud account with the new AppleID. But your current iCloud login would continue to use the same AppleID as its login.

Keyword tags text box poorly designed, crashes PSE 8

I was very interested to see that PSE 8 allows you to enter keyword tags using a text box, as other programs do, promising much faster tagging with large sets of tags. But the feature has serious bugs rendering it unusable.
After trying the keyword-tags text box for less than a minute on my large catalog with 426 tags, PSE 8 crashed.    Even with a fresh catalog and the default tag categories, it will crash after using the text box about 40 times.   (See below for a recipe.)
Another bug concerns tags with commas in them, e.g. "Truckee, CA" (I have a couple hundred such Place tags). If you type "Tru" in the text box, select the tag with the mouse, and hit enter, PSE 8 will create two new tags, Truckee and CA, in the Other category, and apply them to the photo.
A design misfeature: After you select and apply a tag with the text box, it loses the keyboard focus. So to select another tag for the same photo, you have to move your hand to the mouse and click in the text box again. Partially defeats the whole purpose.
Recipe for reproducing the bug:
1. Create a new catalog.
2. Import 50 photos.
3. Select the next photo.
4. In the keyword tag text box, type "p" and then enter.
5. Go to step 3.
On the 40th or 41st photo, my PSE 8 reliably crashes (Vista 32, 4 GB of memory).   If after step 1 you use the Keyword Tags > + > From File command to load a tag heirarchy of 210 tags (see the attached file), it will crash after just 9 photos.   And with 426 tags, it crashes after 5 photos.
Interestingly, on my Vista 64 system (unsupported by Adobe, 8 core x 2.7 GHz), PSE 8 doesn't crash, but the text box gets unusably slow very quickly. WIth 210 keyword tags in the catalog, it soon takes about 12 seconds to find a tag after you type a unique prefix.   That time gradually gets longer the more you use the text box. With 426 tags, it takes almost 20 seconds to apply a tag using the text box.
On both systems, it's clear what the nature of the bug is: Each time you use the text box, the process's memory grows by many megabytes. I believe my Vista 64 system doesn't crash (at least not immediately) because it provides 3.5 GB of memory for use by PSE 8, while Vista 32 only provides about 1.5 GB.

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

Perhaps you are loading a template that has a text block already on it.
You might try the blank template option and set that as your go to template in your preferences

HT4059 Some books shown on my ibooks library will not open. Error message states that they are incorrecrtly formatted.

Try opening the problem library on the HD, if you still have it, by launching iPhoto with the Option key depressed and, when asked, navigate to the external HD and select it. If it opens then you might be able to get it recognized by iPB. If you don't have the one on the external try the one in the Documents folder.
Does iPhoto Buddy create its own plist file in each of the library folders? If so then maybe it the problem. Remove it from the problem library and try relinking it.
I used to use iPB but changed to iPLM (although I like iPB's interface better) as it was compatible with V6 before iPB was.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

I want to delete ConstaSurf and SearchProtect but I get a message that they are in use and it won't let me delete them.

I started to download Firefox and without realizing it I agreed to some additional programs that I do not want on my computer. The ones I can identify are ConstaSurf and SearchProtect. When I try to delete them, I get a notification that they are in use or in another file, and it won't let me delete them. I would like to delete them and then try downloading Firefox more carefully. Thanks for any help. I am not computer savvy.

For step 1 - Uninstall ConstaSurf program from your computer - thru the Control Panel
If that's where you get that message about them bring in use, try closing Firefox and any other browsers that you may have open and then try to uninstall those two.
