Tax Requirement - with different base value

Hi,
We have material (Service) for which the tax calculation should be as follows:
If the quantity is 6, say the per unit value is 100 $. Then the first 4 will have tax calculation of 15 % (GST) on 100 $  and the rest of 2 will have 60 % of total value = 60 (X).  And the tax value will be 15 % 0n X = 9.
So the total value will be - 100 (Basic Price) + 15 (tax for qty 4) + 9 (for qty - 2) = 124 $.
Is it possible in standard ? Also, the above is for Newzealand government , is there any specific requirement for that ?
Please Help !

Hi Chidambaram,
Can you please give me more details on how we achieve this requirement.
Any document on this would be more helpful to me. Removed by Moderator

  • Follow up material with different base unit of measure

    Hi all,
I have the BOM with material Mat1 as a component. The base unit of measure of Mat1 is KG.
Is it possible to replace Mat1 with Mat 2 material in MRP once the Mat1 warehouse stock is depleted.
The base unit of measure of Mat 2 is KGK.
The required quantity of MAT1 should be recalculated from KG to KGK accordanly unit ratio.
Please, expain, where does it maintain?
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Hello Peter,
You can use follow-up setting (set Mat2 as follow-up of Mat1 in MRP 4 view of material master if this follow-up scenario is valid for all BOM) with discontinuation indicator '1', w/o effective-out date. In this case Mat1's stock will run out (no PldOrd, PR, etc) will be created, and from the date, when Mat1's stock runs out, MRP will calculate with Mat2.
As I told you, according to my best knowledge, you cannot realize this with different base unit of measures. (you have to change the buom of one of the related material masters or create a new material master if you cannot cope with buom-change).
Follow-up group scenario can also be used but I guess different buoms will be a problem in that case as well.
Maybe there are better solution but I'm not aware of it...

  • Two tables with different filter values base on a analysis

    Hi guys,
let assume that I have a analysis with columns : group_id and sales.
    Based on it I would like to create two tables : table1 where group_id =1 and table2 where group_id = 2.
Is OBIEE capable of doing it?
    Regards,
    Slavi

    Hi Slavi,
You can do that in single analysis, but you need to have the group_id column two times.
That is, bring group_id_1, group_id_2 (same column), sales
    Now in table 1,
    bring group_id_1, sales
Then in selection steps for group_id_1 -> Select Members -> Action choose keep only -> choose the filter value 1
This will filter the table 1 with group_id 1
    In table2 bring group_id_2, sales
Then do the same step for group_id_2 with value 2.
now in same report you have two reports with different filter.
If you want you can keep the same column name for both group_id columns, I just kept group_id_1, group_id_2 for easy reference.

  • Pricing - Requirment / calculation type / base value

    Dear Friends,
Thnaks for the support and guidance provided by you for my previous posts
In Pricing Procedure we give Requirment, Calculation type and Alternative formula for condition base value, I would like to know where do we exctly define all this?
Or are they standard? If standards where we can see how they works?
    Regards
    Vishal

    Hi,
go through the below Examples for better understanding ..
    Example: 1
    Condition Type: PR00
    Requirement 2 Item with Pricing
    Purpose:
This is an example of a pricing requirement.  This requirement is met if the document item category is relevant for pricing and no previous condition in the pricing procedure has set the condition exclusion flag. This requirement can be assigned to condition types in the pricing procedure to avoid unnecessary accesses to the database when an item is not relevant for pricing or a condition exclusion indicator has been set.
    Example: 2
    Condition Type:  Net value
    Calculation Type: 2 Net value
    Purpose:
This is an example of a condition value formula.  This type of formula can be used to influence the value shown for the condition in pricing.  A condition value formula is assigned to a condition type or value line in the pricing procedure.
Formula '2' sets the value equal to net value that has been calculated so far for the item in the pricing procedure.  It contains the amount excluding taxes.
    Example: 3
    Condition Type: R100
        Alt.Condition Base Value: 28 (100% Discount)
    Purpose:
This is an example of a condition base value formula.  A condition base value formula can be used to influence the basis the system uses when computing a pricing value.  A condition base formula is assigned to a condition type in the pricing procedure.
Formula '28' sets the rate of the condition to a 100% discount.  This formula was delivered with condition type R100 to support free goods functionality.

  • Same Batch Number with different characteristics value

    Dear Gurus,
    I have the following scenerio:
The finished goods should be maintain in batch with external number  and at the time of confirming the finished goods in co11n the client want to capture the finished goods value like length, width and diameter.
So we propose the batch characteristics with class type of 022 for finished good and we maintain the character as length, width and diameter under the batch class 022 and assign the batch class in finished good classification view.
Now the requirement is we want to capture the batch characteristics value length width and diameter with same batch number for multiple confirmation.
    Example:
Confirmation      Batch number               batch Class               Length     width     Diameter
    1                        1000                              022                              100        50             20
    2                        1000                              022                              120        25             10
    3                        1000                              022                              150        70             30
Now at present we are trying to capture the batch characteristics with same batch number but our standard system will not allow to maintain the different batch characteristics value under same batch number. If we overrite the batch characteristics in msc2n transaction the last value maintained be copied to all batch number. but we want same batch number with different batch characteristics value.
Please share your idea and try to solve..
    Regards,
    Vimal

    Dear Vimal,
It is not possible to maintain multiple batch characteristics in one batch.
Work around is to create original batches and assign to your production order.  During CO11N, generate one batch per confirmation.  There is a report in batch information cockpit to link between original batch and batch per confirmation.

  • Different base value reference steps for same condition type

    Dear Gurus
I have a scenario where I have single pricing procedure for normal sale and Intercompany billing.
Condition type GRWR should take the base value from step 350 in standard scenario
But in Inter company billing it should take the base value from a different step.
Want to check the possible way to determine these.
    Regards,
    Neeraj Srivastava

In the pricing procedure, in the step that you're interested in intercompany billing put in the subtotal field the indicator "carry over value to KOMP-KZWI". Make sure that the KOMP-KZWI field that you'll choose is not used in any other step.
Then with the help of an ABAPer you should maintain a routine (Tc VOFM -> Formulas -> condition base value) that in the case of intercompany billing (if billing-type is XXX  ... etc) will take the KOMP-KZWI* value that you chose previously.
Then back in the pricing procedure, assign your new routine in the field "Alternative formula for condition base value" (BasType).

  • Requirement, alt conditiion base value, alt .caluculatin type

    Hai,
Suppose a business requirment in pricing is to develop a routine. How can i come to a decision that i need to write a routine in
    "REQUIREMENT"
    "ALT CAL TYPE"
    "ALT CONDITION BASE VALUE" fields.
    Plz suggest me;

    hi,
    Hope this can help you,
Pricing requirements are typically used to define when an access should be made in pricing. They
can be assigned to a condition type in a pricing procedure or to an individual access in an access
sequence. An access will only be made if the requirement is met. Using requirements can improve
performance by eliminating unnecessary accesses to the database.
When pricing is carried out for a sales document, the system processes the pricing procedure one step
at a time. For example, the user may have listed condition type PR00 first to determine the price. If
a requirement has been assigned to PR00 in the pricing procedure, the system will check to see if it is
met. If it is met, the system continues to look for prices using the assigned access sequence. If it is
not met, the system skips that condition type and goes to the next level of the pricing procedure. The
same holds true for the individual levels of the access sequence. If a requirement is assigned, the
access is only made if the requirement is met.
Condition base value formulas can be used to influence the condition basis to which the pricing condition rate will be applied. In standard pricing, the system will apply the condition rate to the quantity in the sales document. For example, the price determined by the system is $45 per case for Product A. 100 cases of Product A have been ordered. The system would then multiply $45 times the number of cases of Product A ordered. Using a condition base value formula, it is possible to alter the condition base, in our example 100, prior to the calculation taking place. A condition base value formula is commonly used to determine the base for distributing header discounts / surcharges to the sales document line items. A condition base value formula is assigned to a condition type in the pricing procedure.
Condition value formulas are available to influence the condition value that is displayed for a particular condition type or value line in the pricing procedure. In standard pricing, the system will calculate the condition value by multiplying the condition rate by the quantity. For example, 100 cases times $45 per case equals $4,500. Using a condition value formula, it is possible to alter the condition value, in our example $4,500. Condition value formulas can also be used to compute values that should appear as value lines in the pricing procedure. As an example, standard delivered condition value formulas can be used to compute profit margin and item net value. A condition value formula is assigned to a condition type in the pricing procedure.

  • How do I write harmonies with different note values?

I'm new to GarageBand and have been working with the score on the software grand piano.  At first, I'll write a melody line and then go back to add harmony.  When I try to add a harmony that has a different rhythm, GarageBand automatically changes the melody to match the rhythm of the harmony.  I'm trying to write the parts in the same staff so that the piano part can all be printed on the same page.  Any thoughts/help on how to write the piece with different rhythms in one measure?

Have you tried to click the clef to get two lines of notation? I enter the chords in the bass clef line, if I need a different rhythm, for example: Or make the edits in piano roll.

  • Withholding tax calculation with formula base problem

    Dear all,
I maintained some formula depend on client requirement. for example:
up to 200,000.00  no withholding tax
    2 lax to500,000.00  <1.00 %> tax
    5 lax to 1,500,000.00 <2.50%> tax 1.00 % Reduce on 500,000.00 base amount
    15 lax to 2,500,000.00 < 3.50 % > tax 2.50 % Reduce on 1,500,000.00 base amount
    25 lax to 3,000,000.00 < 4.00 % > tax 3.50 % Reduce on 2,500,000.00 base amount
    30 lax to 99,999,999,999.00     <5.00 %> tax 4.00 % Reduce on 3,000,000.00 base amount
Like this i maintained slabs in formulas for calculating withholding tax. depend on this formula up to 2 lax their is no tax. after crossing 2 lax up to 5 lax 1% tax
in this case tax will calculate based on total vendor invoices. But hear it is calculated on present invoice based only. for example i posted 2 invoices with amount 2 lax. it means i reached 1st slab up to 2 lax no Tax. system also calculated like that only. but when i try to post another invoice with amount 3 lax system is calculated 1% tax on 3 lax amount only. but already i posted 2 lax invoice in vendor account. system not considered this amount.
*but actually in this case i want to calculate 3+2= 5 lax * 1% tax . but hear my system is not consider previous invoices .*
    Please do need full help.....

  • How do you create a graph in numbers with different x-values?

For my chemistry class I have to create one scatter plot with three different sets of "x" and "y" values. I have done it before but it is not working. What is an easy way to accomplish this?

All X and Y data has to be in regular cells, nothing in header rows or header columns. It should be organized as X1,Y1,X2,Y2, etc.
    Select all the data
Choose to make a scatter chart
At the bottom left of the Numbers window there is a little text box that probably says "Plot Columns as Series". Click on it and unselect "Share X Values"
It is beyond me why Apple put that control in the bottom left corner in a place where you wouldn't think to look because it is far from the chart and far from the table and far from all the other controls you will be using to create and format the chart..

  • LOV with different query values

    Hi,
I am using JDeveloepr 11.1.1.1.4 and ADF-BC in my project.
In my project,in one of the pages,I need to open a popup on click of button[near an input box] and show an LOV in the popup.
On selection of the value in the LOV and some business logic, the value has to be set to the input box in the calling page.
I have 10 input fields in my page, with 10 buttons besides them and I have to open the same popup and same kind of business logic needs to be implemented to return and set the values
in the calling page except that the query to display the LOV values is different each time.
Basically same popup page needs to be displayed every time, but the query to display the values for LOV is different every time.
If LOV is built through read only view object, then I cannot the change query :(
Please advice on how to achieve this.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

Assume the following sample as per your use-case.
Departments VO is to shown as a LOV for ten different attributes in Employees VO, but the set of departments to be shown are different for each LOV/attribute.
For each of the attributes in Employees VO, while defining the LOV, create separate view accessor for each of the attributes. In your case, as each of the LOV are totally distinct, you might need 10 different accessors for each of the attributes defined as a LOV in Employees VO.
For applying view criteria, you could apply different view criteria for different view accessors created as follows:
As for example, for attribute1 in employees VO, you would like to show only departments starting with 'A'. In this case, define a view criteria in Departments VO as DeptWithStartingA.
Now in the Employees VO, for attribute1, select the view accessors created by moving to the view accessor tab & shuttle the VC to be executed.
Similarly do for all other attributes.
Why can't we use single view accessor for all the attributes? - you cannot because while you select a value for one attribute defined as LOV in employeesVO, the corresponding row is set as selected. But when you choose the other attribute using LOV, all other previous selections would point to the same.
    Thanks,

  • Same Sequence# with different applied value in v$archived_log

    Hi everyone,
I have an issue with one of the dataguard servers here.
Basically, looking at the v$managed_standby, it is still applying the latest archived log sequence.
However when I checked for unapplied archived log from v$archived_log, I found at least 1 sequence# which was quite old (around a few days old) not applied.
my query to check this is:
    SELECT sequence# from v$archived_log where applied = 'NO';result:

    MRP0      APPLYING_LOG      40563
    RFS       IDLE                  0

How many remote/standby destinations you have in your DR setup?
Might this query you have executed in primary, You should always use DEST_ID when executing from primary (or) do check in standby database, Because the applied column you have to check in standby , If you see above the same sequence showing applied in one destination & not applied on other instance, so please do select for dest_2 or in standby.I have only 1 standby destination.
The query above was executed in the standby database server as well as to show that the same sequence# has different result in the applied column.

This issue happens when Network glitch while transferring archives from primary to standby RFS , So when is big enough in such conditions it will be in status can be WAIT_FOR_LOG.
BTW, which redo transport you are using? -- recommended to use LGWR
    Is there any network problem?
check for exact problem either from primary alert log file or from below query,
    SQL> select severity,error_code,message,to_char(timestamp,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from v$dataguard_status;
    SQL> select sequence#, to_char(completion_time,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from v$archived_log where sequence# in (40154, 40546);
HTH.The redolog file size is 100MB and so does the archive log file size.
    I'm using LGWR ASYNC
these are the result of the query which I modified slightly:
    query:
select severity,error_code,message,to_char(timestamp,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') from v$dataguard_status where message like '%40154%' or message like '%40546%';result:

It appeared to me that sequence 40546 has been sent twice, by LNS and ARC1.
    query:
    select sequence#, registrar, creator, standby_dest, dest_id, to_char(completion_time,'DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS') completion_time from v$archived_log where sequence# in (40154, 40546);result:

40546 ARCH    ARCH    YES          2 11-MAR-2012 20:28:53This query proved that the primary database is actually trying to send twice with a different completion time.
Why does the primary database has to send twice?

  • Line chart with different "colors": Values not available are displayed as 0

    Hello,
I defined a line chart with more than one lines (aka "colors" in the chart wizzard) - each line representing the (monthly) values of a year. x axis are the 12 months of the year; y axis are the values.
When one defines such a line chart in BIP client there is a choice between sum, average and count for the data values.
This is no problem for my template as there is only one value per month/year - so I used sum.
The problem: for the actual year there are no values for future months . But bip nevertheless shows 0 for this month/year... Can one prevent this?
    Regards
    Peter

Solved it finally - unavailable values must explicitly be passed to the report with nothing contained in the value tag.

How I can change that date to 01.07.2009? It should not be distrubed for other associates which are valid from 01.04.2009.
    Please help.
    Thanks & regards,

    Hi,
Some issue here - I did the changes like that, but when I ran the report for an assocaite who joined on 5/5/2001 also getting the quota from 01.07.2009. This is incorrect. This 3 months condition is applicable only for the new joinees. The condition is the associate should be having 90 days of service in the company to get this quota.
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Venkat
