TechNet Evaluation Center Issues

I am trying to complete the installation and testing of SharePoint Server 2013.  I downloaded the SharePoint 180 day evaluation installation package from the TechNet Evaluation site.  When installing the package it asks for the license key: NQTMW-K63MQ-39G6H-B2CH9-FRDWJ. 
I get an error message that this license key is not valid?!?
I contacted TechNet (MSDN) support and the call agent, after looking into the issue on the license key, informed me that the key
is valid but she couldn't help me.  I was instructed to submit the TechNet site feedback form.
I have an MSDN subscription.  My subscription is a level that does not include Microsoft SharePoint Server for download.  This is why I am trying the evaluation version.
I have convinced our CIO and our Director of Enterprise Architecture to support a POC evaluation of SharePoint Portal Server instead of upgrading our current Oracle Portal platform.  If it is going to be this difficult to get an evaluation copy
installed, I think this will scare them off from considering SharePoint as an enterprise solution.

When I login this site using my Microsoft account, fill out all information and accept download and install the Akamai NetSession Manager then the download starts.
First you can try to download Visio 2010 trial from another PC with the same Microsoft account. If it doesn’t work, you can login with other Microsoft account to check if it’s helpful.

    When I go to the technet evaluation center (http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-visio-professional-2013) to try to download a trial version of anything, I receive the below error.  I have tried on both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer

    I have checked the Technet Evaluation Center for the System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 - 180 days trial ISO but nowhere to be found.
    I see that Microsoft has put a eval VHD on the following URL: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40843. 
    Microsoft: Can you please upload the: System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 iso 180 day trial to the  Technet Evaluation Center since you have cancelled the technet subscribtion :)

  • Cannot download any Technet Eval Center software evaluations.

    I tried to download Windows Server 2012 RS eval last night (October 2nd) and this morning (3rd) with Internet Explorer or Firefox from Win 7 and also from Win XP (different PC's) using IE and Firefox. 
    I never get the POP-UP and 'save as box' even after the Akamai NetSession app is installed and running (I use IE or Firefox with a RUNAS "administrator" and RUNAS on the Akamai NETSESSION app). 
    Netsession is running as netsession_win.exe as shown in the TASKMGR.  The Technet Eval Center indicates the software eval is downloading under the Actions menu, but I get no errors NOR a POP-UP with a "save as" and see no indication of any
    download occurring and see no network download activity (there is never a SAVE AS pop-up). 
    Is there a best procedure or recommended method to download the evals from the Technet Eval Center?

    Which version you are trying to download (32 bit or 64 bit)?
    Also please check that you have good speed internet connection to download the eval version from Tech center. In addition, check whether there is anything block form firewall side which prevents you from downloading. To access the Windows Store and to download
    and run apps, we need an Internet connection, a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768.

  • Sync Center Issue in Windows 8.1

    I purchased a Sony Vaio Laptop Model SVT11125CNS with Windows 8 64 Bit Single User Pre-installed. Subsequently, I upgraded to Windows 8.1 with Freee Upgrade. Te con figuration of my Laptop is: Processor-Intel(R) Core (TM) i5-3317U CPU @ 1.7 GHz; RAM-4 GB
    (3.88 GB Usable), System Type-64-bit operating system x64-based processor.
    I have an office Network System and the file server OS is Server 2003. My Network s WORKGROUP Based. I log on to my Office Network through Wireless.
    Earlier, I had been using another lap top with Windows 7 OS in th same networking environment. I was able to use the Sync Centre to create Sync partnership with the files and folders in the server for offline
    working. 
    Now, even though I am able to see the Sync Center, I am unable to create any Sync partnership with my Server with Server 2003 OS and I am unable to make the files and folders in the server available for Offline
    working.
    Please provide me a solution.

    We wonder which version of Windows 8.1 you are running.
    To the best of my knowledge, Sync Center does require Windows Client to be at the Professional level edition or higher in Windows 7 and Vista.
    Unfortunately we have no standard edition license for test due to limitation of our test environment. However, your issue is exactly same with Windows 7 Home Premium so I am supposing it would be root cause if you are running Windows 8.1 standard edition.
    If you are running Windows 8.1 standard, we suggest you do some simple test to check if it works with share folder on another computer before you purchasing the Windows 8.1 Pro Pack.
    If it works on on other share folder or you are running Windows 8.1 PRO, please let me know and we will provide further support.

  • Game Center issue with Apple ID

    My son suddenly cannot log in to Game Center. When he tries it tell him: "This Apple ID has not yet been used in Game Center. Tap Continue to set up your account." He has been using his Apple ID and Game Center account since Christmas 2011. He didn't log out but one of his games asked him if he wanted to log in and he tried and this happened, almost like his log in time expired
    We tried different games, same thing happens.
    We have tried turning it off and turning it back on.
    He doesn't want to lose all of the things he has on Game Center so creating a new account isn't an option. I searched for answers and have come across several people having similiar issues since 2010 but there hasn't been a single answer from anyone.
    If anyone has any ideas or experience with this and could help I would GREATLY appreciate it,

    Yes. I have tried that. When I use the ID I had before, it sets it up as a new account and I don't want to lose my stats attached to my old account.
    Let's say that my old nickname was "user10" and I used the email, "[email protected]" for my apple id. I changed my apple id to "[email protected]" and it changed my game center account to "mynew" and somehow I am friends with my old acct, "user10". I tried getting a password reset for "user10" but I apparently don't know my own birthday, which is possible because I usually give a false one, but the same false one each time.

  • Cost Center assign Profit Center Issues

    Hi Controlling Expert,
    i have one issues regarding, Cost Center assign to Profit Center
    wht happened , we have made MIS Report Thru Report Painter KE80, we have map based on   Primary Cost Element, at the time of Business Transaction, we have capture the Finance Cost center i.e FI000, Marketing Cost center i.e MK000 , HR Cost Center i,e HR000 and assign the same cost  center FI000 to Profit Center i.e FI000 also same name, respectively. in MIS report there is two Head  i.e Sustaining Cost and Development Cost ,where we have to capture only Cost center  for Sustaining Cost related  to display i.e FI000, MK000 and HR000. KE80 report belongs to Profit Center wise you can see the Report. But same FI000, MK000 and HR000 also updated related with business transaction and capture above cost center like in depreciation  GL Amount 1000 cost center FI000 and sustaining cost also updated the same amount 1000 because we have assign FI000, i.e wrong . last 3 months post the amount now wht should I do for not updated sustaining cost, as I understand , should be delete sustaining Cost as well Development, and later on we can take report from KSB1 for FI000, MK000 and HR000, for management purpose, so if I cannot assign profit center FI000 to Cost Center .kindly correct me whether ryt or wrong. Coz Fianance, HR cost and marketing is only cost center. not suppose to assigh profit center, in this case how Profit Center removed from Cost center. kindly let me knw, or give me other option.
    wen we see the report same Profit Center showing two times along with amount i.e wrong coz of Sustaining Cost we have assign Profit Center
    in this report particulars are Below

  • Profit Center issue when executing GR55

    Hi Experts,
       I was reported by the business users that they see transactions with the Dummy Profit Centers when they run report for Balance Sheet and P&L Statements. They dont want to see any Dummy Profit Center Report Transactions in their financial statementsin both BSand P&LStatements. 
    For example a number of Documents posted against same G/L account and few of them have dummy profit centers, users doesn't want to see them.
    I already checked in tables BSAD,BSID, BSIS,BSAD, BKPF,BSEG
    TCodes: FAGL3KEH (No default profit centers allocated to anyone of the company codes), FBL3N, FBL5N, VF03
    So we know that there is issue but I need to know the process to find it.
    Can anyone help me out the procedure to find out the issue. This is very high priority issue.

    Refer to the IMG Activity Documentation for the following IMG Node.
    Financial Accounting (New) -> General Ledger Accounting (New) -> Master Data -> Profit Center -> Create Dummy Profit Center
    Here is the documentation:
    Create Dummy Profit Center
    This function lets you create the dummy profit center for the current controlling area.
    The dummy profit center is updated in data transfers whenever the object to which the data was originally posted (cost center, order, and so on) is not assigned to a profit center. This ensures that the data in Profit Center Accounting is complete. You can later send the data on the dummy profit center to the other profit centers using assessment or distribution.
    You create the master record for the dummy profit center using this special transaction. To change or display it, use the normal profit center maintenance functions.
    The name of the dummy profit center is displayed in the controlling area settings for Profit Center Accounting.
    Prerequisites
    The standard hierarchy must exist for the current controlling area.
    Actions
    Enter the name of the dummy profit center. The rest of the steps are the same as when you create a normal profit center.
    Choose the function Extras -> Set controlling area first to make sure that the correct controlling area is set.
    I am guessing this is where your dummy profit center postings are coming from (a cost center / order or some other account assignment object that is not assigned to a profit center).  It should be mandatory (in your month-end close) to run reports on dummy profit center(s) and move balances, if any, to the real profit center, before you pull financial statements.

  • Profit center issue

    one of our billing documnet has got cash pricing procedure assigned to it. Accordingly, when a billing document is created, certain G/L is getting debited instead of customer account. We are also crediting same G/L account thru VKOA settings. e.g.
    Debit G/L 300000                   $100
    Credit G/L 300000                  $100
    G/L 300000 is created as a revenue cost element in CO.
    Now the issue is,
    Does revenue cost element requires assignment to CO object ? DO we need to give cost center in default settings ? If not then, I am getting error - G/L 300000 requires assignment in CO
    If I give cost center in OKB9, only the first line item is getting cost center thereby not matching in Cost center accounting. How to get cost center in second line item. IN this case, profit center for these tw line items will also be different. First line item will get from default of the cost center in OKB9 and the second one gets from sales order.
    If no cost center is required, then also, first line item does not get profit center assigned to it. On the other hand , second line item gets the same from sales order.
    Can anyone help me in this regard ? Either both line items should get same cost center ? PC or if no cost center at all, then, same profit center in both line items

    My question is if the same G/L is getting profit center in the second line item, then why cant in the first line item also ?
    First line item is determined by cash pricing procedure. Second line item is determined by condition type in regular pricing procedure. SAme G/L is deterimined in both of these line items.
    If I maintain defauld cost center for this G/L in OKB9, first line item takes that wih default profit center of that cost center. However second line item does notget any cost center but gets profit center from sales order
    What I want is either it should take cost center as first line item or both line items shiould take profict center from sales order

    Simply random loosing pixels on a screen, and all other similar programs such as wmp, vlc media player, mv2 and Intervideo Win DVD working correctly?

    I don't know what notebook model do you have exactly and what is wrong there but if you want to have well working Media Centre install OS using delivered recovery media.
    After doing this it will work properly.
    Maybe you have installed some codecs or some third part application that can have negative influence on WMC functionality. To be honest your posting doesnt offer some relevant info to this issue and it is not possible to say for sure what is wrong there.

  • Thinkpad T61 - Embedded Web Camera, Lenovo Camera Center issues

    Hello, Recently purchased a T61 with the embedded web cam.  The notebook comes with "Lenovo Camera Center" software (which is more like a portal for camera-related software) but there is no useful software that enables me to actually use the camera - for example, to record clips or take a snapshot with it.  Nor can I figure out where to get such software.  I signed up for Skype and the camera works fine in that context.  But other than that, I am at a loss.  Why did this T61 not come with some basic software to use the camera?  Or is this an issue with Vista?
    Any help or guidance would be appreciated.  Thank you.

    Then it should be possible. I was of the opinion that the cable already has the camera connector. Best to do is opening the bezel and taking a look. If I remember correctly it was placed left from the Thinklight.
    You will need then a camera, a bracket and the small cover. You get this all in Ebay and alikes.

  • Notification center issues

    OK here's what I've done so far - and I still can't get Notifications to work:
    1.  Notifications Center fails to load at startup
    2. I find it it System/Library/Core Services, double click on it and it starts up
    3. I include in the login items in my account, just to make sure it loads
    4. The ONLY notifications I want are for Mail. Nothing else.
    5. In System Prefs/Notifications I select "Alerts" for Mail and click on all the other options including "play sound for notifications"
    6. "Do not disturb" is OFF
    7. I send myself an email.
    8. I check incoming mail.
    9. the email arrives and I see a badge on the Mail icon, but I get NO NOTIFICATION ALERT and NO SOUND.
    10. I read everything I can find here and elsewhere about why Notifications doesn't work. I try everything suggested except the really dumb suggestion about going to the AppleStore to see an Apple Genius.
    ANY SUGGESTIONS?

    P.S. another issue is that every time I log in, Notifications Center has turned on "Do Not Disturb" option even though I have it turned OFF in the System Preferences and I want it to stay off.

  • OKKP Profit center issue

    In OKKP T code what is the impact, if we select Profit center option.
    Generally we have selected Projects and Cost objects. But are in CRM Implementation process, in that scenario below error we are getting.
    Account-based PCA not active in year 2011 in controlling area XXXX (Notification I KM 029).
    Error occurred during determination of profit center (Notification E IAOM 039)
    Error occurred during creation of internal order (Notification E IAOM 018)
    If we select Profit center options in OKKP issue will be resolved because we did same in sandbox. But any major impacts, please let me know.
    Note: We have implemented New GL.

    No In oke5 we dont have 2011 fiscal year .
    Please suggest any impacts if we select in OKKP.
    This problem in ECC 5.0 ( New gl is there)
    But we have ecc 6.0 Also. There in okkp we have selected Profit center.

  • Windows 7 64bit Photosmart All-in-one C6380 Solution Center Issue

    Finally stumbled on re-installing printer SW so I was able to bring up the Solution Center page after a week of effort.  The problem is it errors out after clicking on the scan buttons for either pictures or documents with the following dialog box pop-up message:  "HP Imaging Device Not found", followed by a bunch of instructions for recovery, that don't work.
    What I need is an older version's Imaging Device and Features files, and I don't have them on my original disk that came with the printer!  And I don't know where to go get them.  I've gone through the Shutdown, reboot, uninstall/reinstall device, etc. instructions and nothing helps todate.  Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should do next?  Installing the FULL version of the printer SW doesn't cut it!

  • Notification Center center issues on the 4s

    Since I got the 4s on Friday I was having issues with the Notifications Center.
    First it was duplicating the calender events, then I figured out that it had something to do with iCloud.
    Then today I noticed that none of the calender events were appearing in the Center, then they appeared.
    Not sure what's going on. Not sure if certain settings need to be on or not. I've tried many different scenarios.
    Does anyone have any thoughts?
