Templates assignment broken

When trying to work with a template in Dreamweaver, I found that none of my updates were being displayed on the live site. It tried restarting, flushing cache. I then tried to edit the tempate in the BC admin, again none of my changes were being updated.
I was rather confused, and then I noticed that the pages I was viewing had somehow reverted to "no template" in the BC admin.... Very strange, as they were displaying in the browser with last iteration of the template I had been working with last night. However, now all of the pages that correspond to that template are set to "no template"
Setting the pages to the correct template has fixed the problem, but now I have countless pages and 50 or so catalogs to set the template on. Did I somehow break my template last night? Any way to fix it so I don't have to manually go through and set all these pages and catalogs?
Thanks for the help!

Hi,
Do you have a URL so we can check? Make sure you actually have {tag_pagecontent} included in the template, as it's absence can cause the system to wipe the template clean.
Kind Regards,
Alex

  • Report not taking the default xml template assigned

    Hi,
We wanted to have an excel version of the Depreciation Projection report vis BI Publisher.
We changed the output type of the standard report Depreciation Projection report to XML, created an RTF Template, Defined data definition to point to the program and Template to point to the RTF Template.
We assigned the template as default template from System Administration.
The report is automatically run whenever Depreciation projection program is run. (If the report is run without that, it does not fetch any data)
But when the report is automatically run from Depreciation projection program, it is not picking the RTF template, just provides XML output.
The Depreciation projection program is a spawned program so we cant see how it is triggering the report that it ignores the template.
Running the Depreciation Projection report separately after it is run automatically does not produce any data.
How can we get the report to use the default template?
    Thanks.

The report is automatically run whenever Depreciation projection program is run. (If the report is run without that, it does not fetch any data)
in this case rtf template is used,  is it ?
But when the report is automatically run from Depreciation projection program, it is not picking the RTF template, just provides XML output
in this case rtf template is not used
so looks like you are using ebs r12 for which in some cases need to add layout before running "manually"
    it means use FND_REQUEST.ADD_LAYOUT
    xml_layout := FND_REQUEST.ADD_LAYOUT('FND','XXAND','en','US','RTF');
    v_request_id := fnd_request.submit_request('FND','XXAND','Template 1',NULL,FALSE, null);
The Depreciation projection program is a spawned program so we cant see how it is triggering the report that it ignores the template.
looks like you can't add template so as idea generate report after "Depreciation projection program"
you can search how generate xml publisher report based on xml of previous step

    Thanks..Hi,
Go to Document type setup and search for the respective PO type. Find the template name attached to it. It is actually based on XSL stylesheet.
Note that, there are following underlying views who drive the PO Print.
    PO_HEADERS_XML
    PO_LINES_XML
    PO_LINE_LOCATION_XML
    PO_RELEASES_XML
If you need to add any field, you may need to add it to one of the above first.
    Thanks,

  • Multiple constraining classifiers in generic templates - compiler broken

can not compile multiple constraining classifiers to a generic template if the classifier is defined in the template:
         public <U, T extends U> void a() {}
    will compile.
java language specification: 4.4 Type Variables says:
         public <T extends Object & Comparable<? super T> > void a() {}
    will compile, but:
         public static <U, T extends U & Comparable<? super T> > void a() {}
    will not compile.
U is defined within the template but is only accepted as a constraining classifier to T if it is on its own. When the interface is added, the java compiler breaks.
    (please ignore ">" as required.)
    compile error message:
"a type variable may not be followed by other bounds"

    thanks...You're wecome.
B.t.w. my guess it's not the compiler, though.+1

  • AcroForm FDF Template functionality broken by updates

We have many cases where we build an FDF file that went sent to the browser causes a PDF to be assembled (and form fields filled in) from multiple PDFs containing acroForm templates.  Each time an Acrobat patch is applied by my company, this functionality is broken.  While broken, the PDF is still assembled but all of the form fields are blank.  FDFs that do not rely on templates and simply fill in a standard acroForm work fine.  Also, the template based PDF technology still works if loaded into Acrobat OUTSIDE the browser, it is only broken in the browser.  This tells me that the FDF is constructed correctly.
To fix the problem we must run a repair from within Acrobat on each client machine to restore the functionality.  However, version 9.3.4 appears to be the nail in the coffin and a repair will no longer fix the problem.
Has Adobe dropped support for this functionality?  I know this is the 'old' way of doing things but it will be a massive task to update all of our forms.

    Was this issue ever resolved?
I see similar behaviour with an FDF I hand crank.
On my XP machine with Adobe Reader 9.4, the PDF opens empty.
On my other XP machine (also on a Vista box  and a Windows 7 box) with Adobe Reader 9.0, everything is good to go.
Is there a 'patch' available for 9.4?
Or am I missing something here?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

  • PPPoX Virtual-Template assignment via Radius Attribute

I'd like to optionally apply ACLs to PPP users (PPPoX).  I see two strategies: a) apply an ACL directly via radius attributes or b) define the ACL in the Virtual-Template on the BRAS and determine the Virtual-Template ID via radius attribute.  Has anyone done this?  If so, any suggestions on the best way to move forward?  I think I'd prefer option B as I could also use it to assign VRFs etc (one Virtual-Template per VRF).
    TIA

The only way I could get this to work is have the ACS server reference an ACL configured on the switch via name or number and send in the filter-id attribute.  On the switch I configured the default setting for attribute 11 to apply inbound "
radius-server attribute 11 default direction in".  If you do a "sh authentication sessions interface gx/x" it'll show the filter-ID setting but if you do a "show ip interface gx/x" it still shows the default-acl being applied.  It works, just a bit confusing because of that default-acl still showing up.  Anyone else experience the same?

  • Template assigns local paths to links

Hey everyone: I have several templates using the same CSS
driven links, created with a UL; the LIs have individual IDs and
individual background graphics as markers; with <some> of the
templates, not all of them (but all using the same code -- snippets
for the semantic markup and the CSS) will assign 'local' paths to
the links for the LI's bg markers........then of course, they won't
work online, and I can't alter the code without dismissing the
template relationship..........argghh! Does this sound familiar to
    anyone........?
    Here's a link: it's the twitter/facebook/RSS link in the
sidebar that's the villain; it should have icons of the three as
markers...if you check the CSS in the doc, you'll see the local
    paths.....

  • How to regenerate output in XML format after having assigned RTF Template

    1. I created a concurrent request to get the output in XML data format
    2. Having created RTF File and assigned Data Definition and Template through XML Administartor Responsibility
    3. Now I want to make changes in Data Definition XML File, However I need to get the output file in XML data format, However Concurrent Request is not allowing me to get the XML output because Template is already assigned for the output and not able to de-assign template file from concurrent request.
For some reason in XML publisher, the end date for Template is disable, I am not able to update end date for template.
Is there any way to create an output in XML format through concurrent request after Template File is assigned to create an output? I will appreciate your help.

This is for people who want to know more in detail. Problem is if you put end date then you have to recreate an entry and then have to go through the same process. However I have found a way to use the same file,
Get the template_id by running the following query
    select * from xdo_templates_b
    where template_code = 'TEMPLATE_CODE'
Run the following query to update the end_date to some previous date value
    update xdo_templates_b
    set end_date = to_date('6/9/2011','mm/dd/yyyy')
    where template_id = 162
After that when you run request through concurrent request, it will not show the default template assigned to concurrent request. Run the request, output will be created in XML format.
Run the following query to use the template again
    update xdo_templates_b
    set end_date = null
    where template_id = 162

  • Missing "Select a Template" when editing asset?

Okay, I need some input here!
We recently upgraded from Fatwire 7.5 to Webcenter Sites.
I now a have question about something, for which I don't know if it is caused by an error, a misconfiguration, or is just a new feature, in the Webcenter Sites UI for admin and contributor.
Like I would always do in Fatwire, in the admin-interface, I created a new template that applies to a subtype of a specific asset-type.
In the contributor-interface I then created a new asset of that specific asset-type and subtype, and then I want to select a template to render my asset. But when editing the asset, the field "Select a Template" is not present (the drop-down where I usually select a template is missing).
When I "inspect" the asset, I can see that "Template: No template specified", but when I edit the asset the "Select a Template"-field is gone???
    Further info:
    - No errors is thrown in the log.
    - My user has been granted all rights.
    - if I inspect an exiting asset, created before the upgrade til Webcenter Sites, the asset will have a rendering template assigned, but when I edit an exciting asset the "Select a Template"-part is missing.
Do you have any inputs to this behavior, what can be wrong?
Edited by: jakobverner on Mar 18, 2013 2:39 PM

    Phil, you are a legend!
When I set the Template to "Element is used as a layout", the template does appear as selectable, when editing a asset of the correct type.
The correct answer, and now it works.
Good thing it is backwards compatible, since the exiting assets will have the old rendering template assigned, from before the upgrade to Webcenter Sites.
    Thanks!

  • Updating Word templates in Content Types - changes not appearing automatically

    Hello
I have a SharePoint site where I have existing content types all with MS Word templates assigned to them.  I wish to change the Word template so it looks different.
I have saved my Word template as a .dot file and have edited my content type so it points to the updated template in the 'Advanced' area of the content type properties.  When I look at my template via the 'Edit Template' in the 'advanced' area of the
content type it is fine (as it is when I look at the template file via explorer view) but when I create a new document based on the content type it is referring to the old template.  Furthermore, I have renamed some of the content type names but they
    have not updated either.
Any ideas?  Is there a background process that runs to help with this?

Sorry, just re-visited this and i think i might have missed an obvious answer.
SharePoint tries to protect you from yourself.
That measn that it will not, in some cases, push changes down to lists. For example if you were to delete a column at the site level which is also in place on lists SharePoint won't delete it from the lists.
I'll bet that If you look at the content type at the library level it's showing the old details still.

  • Templates in Tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN

    Hi!
I would like to use the templates from Tcode SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN --> Project --> Projectstandards --> Documentation types --> Project templates
for the documents in Tcode SOLAR01, SOLAR02.
The problem is that many of them are empty.
<b>How can I use the  templates with content?
Is there some integrated Knowledge management system?</b>
    Thank you
    regards

    Axel
SAP only provides you with some templates.  Not all of the documentation types have templates assign to it & that is why it is "empty".
You can assign your own company-specific document templates to the existing document types or alternatively create new documentation types & assign the templates there.
Then ensure that these documentation types are assigned to your project so that it is accessible in SOLAR01/SOLAR02.

    Hi,
If you search in the XML Publihser Administrator responsibility for the Templates the are getting displayed already (Sales Order RTF, Sales Agreement RTF, ....etc)
you can able to find out the Template Data Source which is of .XSD extension . So if you create a new Template and Assign this .XSD based Data Definition to your Template then automatically your Custom Tempalte will come in the Layout list of transaction Type Setup Screen.
Check this and let me know if you have any complexities in finding these.
