Terms of payment - Transportation document

Dear All,
We are using payment terms in our business scenario. Our payment terms will follow customer received for calculation of discount.
We are using Transportation documents for shipping the deliveries. Each transportation document will applicable to only one customer. If the customer is having more than one delivery, we are clubbing the all the deliveries and creating the transportation document.
After confirmation of the customer, forwarding agent will give the confirmation based on the transportation document.
How can I give the receiving date of the customer, for calculating the terms of Payment terms for each invoice.
Plz help me out
Regards,
Ramakrishna

hello, friend.
well, there are a few ways to meet your requirement.  you can try any of the following:
1.  the system can take your invoice date as baseline for calculating payment terms;  therefore, enter the customer acknowledgement date as your billing date when creating and saving billing documents.
2.  you can also go for Proof-of-Delivery, which is similar but a little more complicated because you have to activate this on several levels (customer, item category, schedule lines, etc.);  what this means is that you can bill a delivery only when you receive the customer's acknowledgement of receipt of delivery.  to process POD, you can use VLPOD or VLPODL (you can use for parameters, the outbound delivery, delivery group, shipment number, etc.).

  • How to control authorization about terms of payment in customer document ?

    Dear,
I need to control authorization about terms of payment in customer document. the terms of payment fields can only be maintance by some persons, others persons can not be maintance the terms of payment, although they have the FD01 or FD02 athourization.
how can we archieve this programme?

    Hi,
Like T.Nishanth says, use tcode SU21 to create your own auth.object. Mantain it with tcode PFCG.
Only an additional point. Use the enhancement SAPMF02D. In the include zxf04u01 (EXIT_SAPMF02D_001), click on 'pattern' and in the pop-up dynpro, try the field authority-check and populate it with the auth.object created before.
After, check it with FD02, XD02 and so on.
    I hope this helps you

  • Maintain payment Terms according to PO Document Types

    Hi,
We want to maintain Payment Terms according to PO Doc. type. Now in our system PO have disable Payment Terms.
But we have a requirement that for 1 Doc. Type they should be changeable.
    How it is possible???

    Hi,
Document type concept is used to differentiate the differentiate procurement processes like example:
    YNB: For Standard procurement
    YIMP: For Import
    YSUB: For Sub Contracting
    YSER: For Service
A company may have 10 payment terms and one should not use document type based on payment term. Payment term is maintained in vendor master and from vendor master payment tem flow to purchase order.
For each payment term, if one creates document type, then imagine how many document types will be created to meet business process requirement. Consultant should think & simplify business with proper designing for uses of minimum document types for procurement processes.

  • Not allowing changes to payment terms after the AR document is released to accounting

    Hi,
Anyone know the best way to not allow a user to change the payment terms after the AR document has been created in AR? This is affecting aging because users are changing the payment terms without permission. What is the best way to control that?
    Thank you.
    AK

    Hi A K
Frequent change in payment terms is something business should introspect. Payment term is decided and agreed upon with customer/vendor during the initial stages.
However from IT perspective, it can be controlled keeping some system controls.
    1. Limit the Customer master change transaction to very limited users or to a manager. There should be internal approvals by management for business to make a change. Bring this into force.
    2. Regularly run the customer master change reports and provide the trend to management to restrict or limit the changes.
    3. Use Change Message control for master data by providing necessary warnings or error messages when master data is changed.
    4. In  the sales order level, there is every possibility to change the payment term. Based on the user authorization get the payment term field greyed out and provide change access to accounting or to a specific user upon approvals. This is a bit complex process but I feel this brings up controls and stops the process from exploitation.
    5. Also activate 'Sensitive fields' KNB1-ZTERM for payment term field in customer master. This brings up another layer of confirmation of change by other users.
    6. Another back route, not recommended in all cases, is to subsititute the required payment term during accounting document posting.
    Hope it helps.

  • Baseline date, terms of payment, net due date in MIRO Parked document

    Hi all:
When parking a docuement in MIRO with a PO reference the terms of payment, baseline date, and due date are all determined.
The problem is when we don't have a PO yet, just the vendor and the amount, is there a way for MIRO to determine the terms, baseline date, and due date from the vendor master?

    Hi,
Just enter the Vendor in MIro and it should pull the Payment terms from the Vendor master (Company Code Area).
Baseline Date & Due Date are derived based on the settings in the payment term.

  • Payment term determination on billing document

How are the payment terms determined for a biling document?
In creating a billing document, the payment terms are NOT copied from the sales order as expected or even from the payer partner. They are copied from the sold to partner.
Where is this done in configuration? If not configuration, where else would this be set?
    Thanks,

    Hello,
Payment terms in the Billing document are copied from Sales order and to Sales order it will be determined from the Customer Payer,
If the Payment terms Field in the customer Payer is not maintained then it will determined it from the Sold to Customer.
In your case check whether the Payment terms in the Payer is maintained or not, If not then it would have fetched from the SOLD to Customer.

  • Terms of Payments

    Hi Folks
I am trying to create Terms of payment through SPRO>Financial Accounting>Accounts receivable & Payable>Business transactions>Outgoing invoices /credit memos/maintain payment terms.
However whenever I am saving the changes the system does not prompt for Customising request to be inputted.
The message is prompted whenever the changes included in Request as "Entry flagged for inclusion in task".
But the transport request is not updated with the changes.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
    Shrutika

    Hi,
Go into "Maintain Terms of Payment". From menu, choose Table view, Transport.
Now pick the TOP you want transported (within your transport request), and choose "Include in request".
After performing this, when you go check in your Trans. req. your IMG activity should be recorded.
    Cheers.

  • BaseLine date different from Terms Of Payment Date

    Hi,
My client posted 3 documents dated 23.12.2009,17.12.2009,14.12.2009  respectively. The terms of payment has been set to accept document date as default for the baseline date. This means that the baseline dates for the  documents should be same as 23.12.2009,17.12.2009,14.12.2009  respectively. However, the system has set 31.12.2009 as baseline dates for all MIRO documents. I have already checked Terms Of Payment  ,Vendor Master and the posted documents.
Can anyone please provide any clues to this problem?
    Thanks In Advance

  • Question about terms of payment of company code tab of customer master data

    Hi:
As I know there are two places to be maintained terms of payment of customer master data, one is in billing documents of sales area data tab and I understood it will default to the one in sales order when you create, another is in company code tab and I don't know what does it be used for? Could you advise?

    Hi
Along with the payment terms, the reconciliation account number and the dunning procedure is set specifically for the customer to the particular company code.
This would be the default data for all transactions specific to the customer in specific company code.
If you extend the customer to another company code, you can have different recon, payment terms etc.
All FI transactions are relative to these settings.
In SD when you process, any changes to the particular customer can be modified and it will supercede the default settings of PT

  • Credit Management Process based on Terms of Payment.

    Hi All,
My Client wants to use SAP Credit Managment Process. The SAP is currently being used but without Credit Management. As per my initial discussion I have enclosed the requirments below. Your Kind Help will be highly appreciated.
    1.     The Process has to be implemented in a 2 Step Process.
    2.     The Initial Requirement is based on Terms of Payment. If the Number of Days is Overdue for the Invoice for a particular Customer, the system should issue a warning message (in the Form of Mail or any other way) which can be shown as evidence to the Customer for collection of Payment so that further Sales Transactions can take place.
(Is there the standard Process in Credit Management based on Terms of Payment)
    3.     In the next step Value Base Credit Check has to be implemented. The Value will be set for a particular Customer in Credit Master. When the Sales Order is raised and if the Credit Limit is exceeded the System should issue the warning message. Based on the Warning Message Issued an email should triggered to the particular person in Finance that the Credit Limit for a particular person has been exceeded and Credit Limit needs to be increased.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sam.

    Dear Mr F Farooq,
    1. The Process has to be implemented in a 2 Step Process.
Do the following configurations for credit management :
    Refer the following link.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/CreditManagementConfigaration
Now for this requirement, since different billing documents for the same customer  can have different payment terms (whcih means different billing will be due on different date) , please make the following changes in OVA8
    Check for 'oldest open item'
Now follow my reply in the below thread.
Sales order to be blocked based on customer payment terms and credit limit
You can use WORKFLOW to trigger mail when such a message is triggered in the sales order , due to credit check.
Ask your ABAP-er for details on workflow.
Just configure according to the thread given for 1st POINT.
CHECK FOR DYNAMIC and set reaction as 'C' and check STATUS /BLOCK.
Maintain the credit limit in the FD32.
Now when the sales order value exceeds the credit limit , a message will be triggered.
Use the concept of WORKFLOW to create mail based on this message .
When the user gets mail, he can maintain the new credit limit in FD32 and release the document for delivery/billing in VKM3.
Revert back if there is any issues.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Terms of payment- 2 additional days are considered for giving discount

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem with Terms of payment.
I have configured a new terms of payment as "34 days -2% and 35 days net due".
Surprisingly it is giving discount even if i pay on 35 and 36th day also. In OBB8, i have taken Document date as default date for calculating days and i have not given any additional days.
This is text displayed at OBB8 "Within 34 days 2 % cash discount         Within 35 days Due net".
Eg: I post doc on 01.04.09 and bline date is 06.05.09.
Even when i pay this on 06.05.09 or 07.05.09, it is giving 2% discount.
Please let me know why system is considering 2 additional days. This problem is there even in other payment terms also.
Ours is a US based project.
    Regards,
    Rajanikanth.

    Hi Rajini,
In your case, system allows due date + 2 days for grace days. Therefore the actual due date in your case is  05.05.2009 + 2 days = 07.05.2009. System will not calculate cash discount @2% on or after 08.05.2009.
I think you are maintainin "Tolerance Group for Customers/Vendors.
Please go to Transaction Code: OBA3. In OBA3, there is a field for "Grace days due date". I think you have given 2 days as grace days there. You have to remove grace days there and try it. Now system will not give 2 days as grace days while calculating cash discount.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Terms of Payment not working

    Dear Friends:
In vendor master, The terms of payment were 0001(Immediate payment) and cr memo terms as 30 days net due.
Using Vendor Credit memo,T.code F-41, I entered the credit memo 40 days back and posted the document.
But when i check the S_ALR_87012083 - List of Vendor Open Items for Printing, the doc.date and due.date are the same.
Please explain why this is happening. The due date should be after 30 days.
Please help to resolve the problem.
    Regards
    MSReddy

    Hi Sridhar,
Following are the rules for payment terms for credit memo.
    Invoice related credit memos:
Credit memos can be linked to the original invoice by entering the invoice number in the invoice reference field during document entry.  In this case, the payment terms are copied from the invoice so that the invoice and the credit memo are due on the same date.
    Other credit memos:
Payment terms in other credit memos are not valid and are due at the document date.  To activate the payment terms on these non-invoice related credit memos, enter a “V” in the invoice reference field during document entry.
If this credit memo is invoice related, the payment terms will default from invoice.  If it is not invoice related, default date is document date. Enter "V" in invocie reference to activate payment term defined in vendor master.
Hope this helps. Pls. award points if this helps.
    Regards,
    Chirag
