is there any way to test contribute but not on the live site?

you have a test site which is bundeled along with Contribute. You can find the link in "How Do I?" panel(located in the left bottom of contribute. It is located in the first link in the panel.
OR
You can set up your own IIS on a test macine and enable FTP. You can connect to this site and try out contribute.

we have developed a jdbc driver for our DBMS.we used jdbc test suite which we downloaded it from sun web site to test our driver.when jdbc test run,we found many exception logged in jdbc-tests.log file,such as:
Beginning Test: testAddBatch01
Fatal: Problem with connection: java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://localhost:8000/servlet_vehicle/servlet_vehicle
End Test: testAddBatch01...........FAILED
I use jdbc-tests-suite1.2.1 version.do you encouter the problem?I am looking for your response!

Hi,
I think you haven't start the server.So the program is trying to connect to the server and is raising the exception.

Contribute Problem

I have successfully connected to site with Contribute ftp and
was able to access all pages and then edit. After editing a page I
published it and it appeared that was also successful. I am using
Yahoo geocities and in the file manager it shows that the file was
updated as the date and time was changed. But the updates somehow
never make it to the site...Any ideas???

Oracle VM 3.2.1 test setup - problems with OVS node evictions

Hi all
I am building a small test environment for Oracle VM with the following configuration
4 boxes, each 1 x AMD 6 core cpu + 32GB RAM + 2 x 1GB ethernet (10.30.32.n, 192.168.20.n networks - I only have 1x16 port GB switch, so all cabling is through the one switch - that may be part of the problem)
3 boxes are diskless, running Oracle VM Server from 8GB USB flash drive
1 Box is EL6.3 and set up with:
1x750GB with (LVM) partitions for /, /u01 (Oracle 11gR2SE + OVM Manager), swap, and a partition for the OVS pool
4x2TB drives, set up with LVM striping, and 4 LVs - 1 750GB for virtualbox and VMWare VMs, and 3 others for OVS storage repositories (each a bit over 2TB) - all ext4.
The OVS Pool and OVS Storage file systems are exported via NFS
VM server and VM manager installs all went smoothly. Servers and storage are discovered OK in the manager.
I created 2 networks - one on the 10.30.32 subnet for Server Management, Cluster Heartbeat and Live Migrate (also the public network for accessing the machines). The other on the 192.168.20 subnet for Storage and Virtual Machine.
Created storage pools, and presented to all the servers.
In creating the Server Pool, just took the default 120 for the cluster timeout
Now when I try to import an assembly, or a VM template, it gets so far, then then the server doing the actual job reboots.
My initial thought is that for whatever reason the NFS traffic involved in importing and writing - either network, or I/O on the NFS server - is swamping the cluster heartbeat traffic, and the node just fences itself
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions, or can advise what further diagnostics or troubleshooting I can do

I suspect it more to do with your storage than anything. Run your import again and sample your I/O performance from your NFS server during the import. Also, if you can... .create LACP bond on your NFS server. I don't know what kind of throughput you expect but remember. A single GB nic can only do a max of 125/MB a sec. That sounds rather good but take into consideration everything you're doing across your environment... its not a lot. I see well over 400 mb/sec network throughput at times on my storage. I run bonded 10GB nics.
Once you get your templates and such built you shouldn't experience that much NFS I/O. You should allocate enough memory to your guest as to avoid virtual disk paging on your NFS storage.

Please help me test this problem with CSR4 and Flash10.

I have tested the below problem on 2 desktop and 2 laptop Windows systems with the same result. Would you please test this procedure and report whether you do or do not have the same results.
I am assuming that the systems you use are the latest with all updates installed.
1. Start Photoshop and open any image file. Click on the move tool and see that you get the normal tool cursor.
2. Navigate to http://www.layersmagazine.com/working-with-text-in-flash-part-2.html (uses Flash 10 as the tutorial engine).
3. The tutorial should start automatically. While it is running switch to Photoshop and verify you still have a move cursor.
4. Switch to the tutorial and click on the flash icon to watch it in full screen mode. Watch it for a couple of seconds. Press ESC to return to normal size mode.
5. Switch to Photoshop and look at the cursor. On the 4 systems I have tested this on, the cursor changes to a hand and remains a hand no matter what tool icon is clicked.
Sometimes closing the tutorial and Photoshop returns everything it normal functioning. I have reported this to customer service. Sometimes I have to reboot to cause it to happen.
I would like to determine if it just the 4 systems I have tested or if others experience the same problem. Thank you for your help.

Which Flash Builder build are you using?
FlexUnitApplication.mxml is generated from MXML Application/MXML Windowed Application(Flex/AIR project respectively) file templates configured in Window->Preference->File templates.
Can you take a look at the template if you see any 'min_size' available as part of the template?
However, we are unable to reproduce the issue in the latest builds.

Yet anothe test-owaconnectivity problem

Up till a month or so ago the SCOM OWA External Connectivity monitor was happy. However as of late it is always failing with the following error: The test received an unexpected response to an Outlook Web Access request.

My configuration is two CAS servers load balanced using MS NLB. The NLB cluster FQDN is mail.domain.pvt. The CAS servers are CAS1.domain.pvt and CAS2.domain.pvt. The OWA Internal and External URLs on the CAS servers are configured as mail.domain.pvt
and external.domain.com respectively. The external FQDN is an ISA 2006 server proxying the requests to OWA using FBA.
I cannot figure out why it is failing with this message. Every combination of test-OWConnectivity I use works fine whether or not I use my credentials for the CAS test user credentials. I have verified that I can log onto OWA externally using
the test CAS user.

These are run using my credentials but if I reset the CAS test user password and run them with the CAS user credentials I get successful results as well. I have recreated the test CAS user several times but always end up with this error.

According to your test, the test user has no problem to log in OWA, so I think it may due to configuration.
Could you please try to enable external OWA connectivity monitor follow this article.

I am not an experienced user (I work with a non-profit, and

The logic board on my computer crashed, so I lost access to

repaired, I set up a Contribute connection on another
computer so I
could edit pages that needed immediate attention. Now, I have

computer back, and am trying to sync my Dreamweaver files
with the
pages on the server, and it won't let me have access to any
pages that
I changed through Contribute. Help, please! What do I need to
do?

Is there an error or warning message? if yes- what exactly is
it?
as a guess the files are still out as drafts or some other
thing that has
them checked out so no one else should edit them. Simple
check in /check out
problems can be easily over come in dreamweaver by clicking
past the nag
screens.

Weblogic Load Testing intermittent problem!

We are running weblogic 5.1 sp8 to load testing, and using following
setting:
Weblogic.system.executeThreadCount=20;
Weblogic.system.nativeIO.enable=ture;
dbConnection Pool=20
while we increased 60 concurrent users, HPUX 11i started to hung
intermittent, can not ping this box. after a while, return back to perform.
checked weblogic.log, found following error:
<ListenThread> listen failed, failure count...
java.net.SocketException: "No buffer space available".
Any idea for this case?

No, I haven't seen that before.

comes from and work back from there to see how to avoid the problem.

Test movie problem

Hi, I have a strange problem. When I test my movie, my photo
gallery doesn't load. But, it I test it again while the swf is
already open, it works. Is there a way to fix this?
I'm trying to upload the page onto the web, but once I place
the swf in an html document, is doesn't work. Any suggestions??

Load Testing playback Problem

I am able to record scripts in Openscript for Load testing.
but when I try to playback, it is showing timwout problem.
The Following Error is Coming :
Timeout occurred while waiting for server response. Socket timeout is set to 120 seconds.
Comparable WinInet error code: Error 12002: ERROR_INTERNET_TIMEOUT. Caused by: java.net.SocketTimeoutException occurred. ErrorMessage: Read timed out

This error is due to OLT not getting a response from the server, sometimes you will see this error but you still able to connect to the application manually via a web browser, this is due to the socket being closed in the HTTP server a web browser will handle this by reopening the socket when OLT will throw and error, which is the correct approach as the socket should be open.

A way of testing that or working around this issue is by disabling the HTTP connection Keep-Alive setting in OpenScript, to do so double click on the steep link in OpenScript Change to the Headers Tab look for the Connection entry which should be Keep Alive and delete it, that will force the server to open a new socket for each request.

I've noticed a lot of people having the same problem. My camcorder is stuck in test function mode PLEASE HELP ASAP......

The real error message should be in the alert log of your database. With the error code therte you could log into metalink and check out what the problem is.
What I suggest is first to remove the CURSOR from the select-subquery.

Concurrent run of LXI instruments self-test/measurement problem in Teststand

Hi,
I want to run self-test (or measurement) of 2 separate LXI instruments (Agilent) concurrently. When I use parallel model or "Use a new thread" (or use new execution) option for sequence call, it performs sequently self-test of first instrument and then self-test of second instrument. It seems like one driver blocks another. Common for all instruments are LXI and VISA. However I tried to use 2 threads in CVI (using CmtScheduleThreadPoolFunction function) and it worked fine and also I launched two instances of Teststand and it worked as well. Any ideas where the problem is?

Are you using a LabVIEW VI to communicate with the devices? If so, is it possible that the VI is set to be non-reentrant? If you are using the same VI for both instrument calls, and executing the VI with the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine adapter, and the VI is set to non-reentrant execution, it would explain the behavior you are seeing.
