Tgt qty is contract exceeds

Hi
I am refering a quantity contract to create a release order/sales order.
While doing so if i exceeds the target qty in contract (for example tgt qty in contract is 10 & in my sales oredr i am putting qty 11) the system is giving the warning message that the tgt qty is exceeding. (i know the setting in item catg - completion rule)
But i want to have error message, means the system should not allow to do so. What is the setting required
Please reply
Vinod

Hi Vinod,
Its very normal that you can enter order quantity more than the reference contract quantity flowing from the contract. This is standard functionality.
Additionally it is not recommended that you change the standard SAP standard messages from warning to error etc.
Better you should go for an exit. Use following details:
Goto SE38 & enter include MV45AFZZ
Then goto user exit "USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT". In this you should tell your ABAPer to write code such that it compare the previuosly refered quantity & hence does not allow to enter quantity more that that in contract. You will get error message while saving the document & system will thus prevent extra entry of quantity in sales order.
Hope this solves your requirement

  • Open Qty for Contracts in Purchasing

    Hi,
Is there a standard config for Open Target Quantities for Contracts, as there is for standard POs (there is Open Qty - 0BO_QTY - within the 0PUR_DS03 transformation), but I need to show an Open Target Qty for Contracts.
The value exists within RM06A, field name OFZMG but it is not part of the standard Purchasing extractors, whereas the Target Qty is.
    Any advise appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi Daniel,
    Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, I know how to enhance the standard extractors but the logistics extractors are different where the standard LIS extractors actually contain a whole load of additional fields that you can ehnance via LBWE.
If I enhance these with the append structure and some code, then it could cause issues with enhancing via the standard LBWE in the future.
    Thanks,
    Scott

    2. Same issue when creating contract from another contract (in another scenerio)
C1 -> C2. Here also system is accepting when C2 qty exceeds C1 qty. Pls help.

For this you have to take assistance of an ABAPer in your team.
As per my knowledge, the message number for your case is V1 501.
For changing the message status of the message.
    Message Status Change
    - Go to SE91, input V1 in Message Class and 501 in Number and execute
    - Block the said message and press CTRL + SHIFT + F3 form your keyboard
    - Select Programs and click on green tick
    - Place your mouse on white box of left side and again press CTRL + SHIFT + F3 form your keyboard
    - Do repeat the third and fourth points thrice
    - Double click on the Description
    - Finally, take the assistance of ABABer and check the code
    Or
    Kindly refer following SAP Notes:

case 1) IF GR NOT DONE YET:

that means u have comsumed more than required .then raise the debit note for loss.
reconcille the challan by the same GR doc and complete the same.
Case 2)IF GR is allready done.
reconcille the challan by GR document, then do 542 for remainning 2 qty.re4concille the challan by dat document.and complete the challan.
then take a physical inventory of that material for perticular storage location and post the negative difference .syatem showa that as a loss for u then raise the debit note for the same.

  • Order QTY should not exceed than reference document

    Dear Gurus,
I am creating a Release order with reference to Contract. Ex. order qty is 100 in Contract, while doing sale order it should not allow to change the order qty more than 100 [not more than Ref. document qty]. I have tried in VTAA, completion rule.. but it still allows.
Pls thro some light on this.

  • Return Order Qty should not exceed Reference Qty

    Hi
The Qty of Ref Billing document is say 10, Return order is done for eg 8 for first time and for same ref document user enters 5 qty, now the total return order qty is 13, but billing doc qty is 10, where in 3qty is exceeded and system just gives a warning message and allows further. In this case how can we Restrict Return order if Qty it exceeded the reference document qty.
I have checked the copy control settings, no use. Please through some Light.
    Regards
    Praveen Kumar......

    Hi
But the problem is, now we have done return sales referring and billing doc qty eg. 10.
Now again if we do return order referring the same billing document,
system will allow to do another Return sales for same 10qty
Is there any where we can control this feature.
Maintain the copy control settings as suggested by the other friends
    Mainly Pos/Neg field
While creating the second return order (sales order) referring the already referred billing document system should give some warning message
    Check that message in OVAH
I feel some warning msg should come which you have to change to error
Unfortunately i am not in a position to test this
Still if the problem is not solved you need to go for suitable userexit
Normally when you create Returns sales order with reference billing doc in that sales order if you add a new line item which was originally not there in billing doc system will very cooly accept it (not even warning message)
This also has to controlled thro userexit ( this part is not related to your issue but i said this as an information)

  • Delivery Qty. should not Exceed the PO Qty.

    Hi All
My requirement is that just like Sales Order, incase of STO the delivery Quantity (delivery creayed through VL04) should not exceed the Balance Quantity PO quantity (where PO Quantity less Already delivered Qty = Balance Qty). Is there any standard customisation or Exit is available for this??
    Regards
    AA

    Dear AA
I have searched in MM forum and found this thread which is relevant to your requirement
Forum post in ERP - Logistics Materials Management (MM): STO - How to control Over delivery ?
STO - How to control Over delivery ?
    Hope this helps you
SAP has a logic for not controlling the over delivery in STO  in standard (unlike sales order  to delivery we have the controls in Zero VLP or 0VLP for this) because STO happens between plants of a same company code or different company codes .The movement of stocks are between plants But in a normal sales the delivery happens to a customer who is actually a third person and hence a user can misuse the delivery quantity
A plant and an external customer cannot be treated as same
Hence in SAP standards over delivery is not controlled in standard settings like item category etc

  • GR qty should not exceed GI qty for an order.

    Dear All,
GR for an Prodn order should be restrictected if the Qty exceeds the GI qty done against the order.
Eg.The target qty for a production order is 100 MT.The GI is done for 80 MT(261),the system should allow MB31(101)only upto 80 MT not more than that against the order.
Please suggest how can I map this?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Ankush

    Dear Ankush,
in Std SAP allows Confirmation without GI
Also Allows GR without GI & confirmation
so best option is user exit

  • Report for Qty Contract and Value Contract with PO release exceeding limits

    Hi All,
Is there a std report in SAP that the users can use to view Qty and Val Contracts that has exceed in Qty (in case of Qty Contracts) or Val (in case of Val Contracts) ?
    Thanks in advance!

    hi Duke,
If thinking logically, then there is no report for the same..this may be because you enter the qty or value limits in the contract doc itself....So, when you make the PO for the same, and if the qty or value exceeds the system automatically provides the message..stating that the qty or value has exceeded....
So, there is no report for the same...
    Hope it helps...

  • Warning messaeg-If refered qty exceeds 80% of Actual qty in SO

    Hi Gurus,
    My client scenario is :
Step 1: Create a Sales order
Step 2: Create Billing Request ( Sales document)
    Step 3: Create an invoice
Sales order > Billing Request> Invoice
Eg: we created a sales order in Jan Month with the 800 qty. as of now we create 3 Billing request with the qty of 500( 100250150). Now the Open qty of SO is 300.
So in this if i create one more Billing Req against(150 aty) this SO, if the total qty of Salesorder exceeds 80% (640) system has to throw on warning message . How can i configure this in SD.
It is nothing but if the refered qty exceeds 80% of the actual qty then system has to throw one warning message.
    Cheers,
    Sumith

    HI Sumith,
you can configure the same using a user exit .
    in the user exit "USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP"
add a code which will check the ordered quantities in the reference document and then the curent entered quantities
if it exceeds 80% then a warning message to appear
take the help of abaper to write the exit code
    hope this helps

  • While adopting services from contract to PO,  qty. not adopted correctly

    Hi Team,
We are in ECC 6.0 EHP 4.0.
We have defined services in Contract. While making Release order (PO) against contract , in adopting services of contract to Purchase order, total qty. is not defaulted in PO. Always it is considering Quantity one only, even though there is more qty. in contract service.
Does we need to do any thing for this, to get all open quantity.
But in Service Entry Sheet it is considering all open quantity of PO.
    Regards,
    Sai Krishna

    Hi,
When you create service PO the line item quantity will be always by default one with unit of measure as AUT activity unit
And actual AUT for services is maintained at service level which is normally hours or days etc
This quantity at service level will be taken when for service entry sheet
    Thanks

  • Sales order Qty May be excess from Contract

    Dear Expert
The requirement is , when we create contract of three lines item as
    Line 1    of 150 QTY
    Line 2    of 100 QTY
    Line 3    of 250 QTY
    Total Qty  500    qty
The total sales orders should not be Excess 500 but may be as
    Line1 of 250 qty
    Line2 of 150 qty
    Line3 of 100 qty
if it is achieve by user exits then what will be status of line item behave in Contract
    Please advice
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Siva
At the time contract Qty of all lines items is not cleared but confirmed as in totality, but Rate of all lines is clear
So total qty of Sales orders may be  not be excess of total qty of contract but a single line item may be excess in sales order for Example
                       Contract     Sales oreder    Diff                                                     Status
Line 1    of   150 QTY     250                 Line item is excess by 100 qty             What will be shown ?
Line 2    of      100 QTY       150                        Line item is excess   by 50  qty                     What will be shown  ?
Line 3    of       250 QTY      100                        Line item is short by     150 qty                     How will be completed ?
Total Qty       500 qty            500 qty                                total impact is 0

  • Withdrawal Qty exceed requirement Qty in production order

    Hi: guys
In our system, withdrawal Qty can exceed requirement Qty for a production order, even we use planned GI. That means when we use MIGO/MB1A to process GI to reference production order, we can manually change withdrawal Qty. Even this Qty has exceed requirement Qty of production order, system also not give me any message.
Anybody can tell me how to customize settings to limit this function, such as give me a message (error or warning), and ensure withdrawal Qty can not exceed requirement Qty.
    thank you.
    Henry

    Henry,
I got what excatly the problem is in your case, the guy who executed has done it very cleverly.
What must have happenned, is that in the change mode of the order, the component quantity was increased and then Issued. Latter on in the change mode of the order again the quantity was reduced.
I think this is the excat case what you are having now in the system, the only clue left out for us is to check whether the manual change was perfomed or not. In the components overview scroll to the right side of the screen till you reach column with heading "ChngeProc.", here if the field value is "1" - then it is obvious that there was a manual change in qty for the component.
The possible resolution to prevent in future is to Make the dynamic message "CN" - 752 as Error in the prodcution order change program. You need to work with your ABAP person for this.
Hope I was able to get to the right problem and possible resolution.

    Prasobh
