Withdrawal Qty exceed requirement Qty in production order

Hi: guys
In our system, withdrawal Qty can exceed requirement Qty for a production order, even we use planned GI. That means when we use MIGO/MB1A to process GI to reference production order, we can manually change withdrawal Qty. Even this Qty has exceed requirement Qty of production order, system also not give me any message.
Anybody can tell me how to customize settings to limit this function, such as give me a message (error or warning), and ensure withdrawal Qty can not exceed requirement Qty.
thank you.
Henry

Henry,
I got what excatly the problem is in your case, the guy who executed has done it very cleverly.
What must have happenned, is that in the change mode of the order, the component quantity was increased and then Issued. Latter on in the change mode of the order again the quantity was reduced.
I think this is the excat case what you are having now in the system, the only clue left out for us is to check whether the manual change was perfomed or not. In the components overview scroll to the right side of the screen till you reach column with heading "ChngeProc.", here if the field value is "1" - then it is obvious that there was a manual change in qty for the component.
The possible resolution to prevent in future is to Make the dynamic message "CN" - 752 as Error in the prodcution order change program. You need to work with your ABAP person for this.
Hope I was able to get to the right problem and possible resolution.

  • Outsource partial qty of the oepration at production order

    Hi, there,
I am currently working on a mechanical industry project. The customer may outsource partial  quantity of an operation due to capacity limit. That means one operation will be splitted into in-house production and external processing. I try to keep this process in the same production order due to production management concern. However, since oepration qty can't be changed, user will post a final confirmation to original operation to close the in-house production operation. And user will insert an external processing operation right after the original operation. My original idea is to convert the partial qty of PR generated by production order into purhcase order and then close the rest of PR. But I found out it's impossible to do anything on PR Qty except of blocking it. Does anyone ever
have experience on this kind of requirement? Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Nancy

    Hi,
    1. For your order type PP01in opl8 tcode  in the controlling tab page set the cost collector indicator and default rule as Periodic settlement PP2.
    2.create info record for vendor.
    3.create product collector.(KKF6N)
    4. create production order and release .
5.Goto operation  overview.select the operation for which you are going to outsource.
6.choose function and split order and enter the outsource qty.
    7. Enter the order type and execute.
    8. Now your production order will be two .
    9.  Now choose the second order and goto operation oveview and select the operation and change the control key as PP02 and enter the purchasing details in the External operation view and release the operation and save.
10.Now in the same tab PR will be created and convert it to PO and the external processing of operation begins and process
    is as usual.

  • Released qty exceeds available qty pick list error

    Hello experts,
    I have the following scneario:
    1) In stock 570
    2) COmmitted 10,100
    3) Available -9530
I want to create a pick list for 100 and the system doesn't let me saying " Release qty exceeds available qty".
    Can someone please explain why?????????????????????
    Thanks

    Hi,
As an enhanced functionality in SAP Business One version 8.8, the Pick and Pack Manager now allows the user to release items to a pick list even when there is no available quantity to release, such as when merchandize exists but has not yet been entered into SAP Business One.
In spite of this enhancement the user cannot release an item from a Sales Order to a Pick list when the item does not have sufficient available quantity in stock to cover the quantity of the Sales Order.
The system shows the following error message:
    "Released quantity exceeds available quantity"
    Solution
This enhanced functionality only works if the "Block Negative Inventory by" checkbox is not selected under Administration -> System Initialisation ->Document Settings -> General tab
Check Note No. : 1485867 as well.
    Kind Regards,

  • Planning for requirement after TECO production order

Hi, I would like to understand how do I plan the remainder of an independent requirement if the production order sourcing it is TECOed.
The scenario I'm proposing is the following:
    - There's an independent requirement for a given quantity (e.g. 100 tons) and there's an associated production order to fulfill it. Production has already started and goods receipts have been made for partial quantity (e.g. 50 tons)
    - The production order is TECOed but I still need to re-plan for the remaining 50 tons
how does the fact that part of the independent requirement has been  partially fulfilled impacts my re-plan? how does the system knows that I have to plan for 50 and not the original 100?
    Many thanks,
    Diego

Diego, assuming that you are working with a make to stock strategy (i.e. delivering from anonimous stock), after GR of 50 Tons and TECOing the production order, there is a negative balance between IndReq(-100) and stock (50). So, the MRP will create a new planned order for covering the demand.
If a delivery is made from the stock, then the sales order will reduce both IndReq and stock and the balance still remains.
    Hope this help you...

  • Diff of delivered qty and confirmed yield in production order

    hai gurus
Plz explain me the difference between the Delivered  qty and confirmed yield qty in production order.
iam getting for some order  delivery qty less than the confirmed yield and also greater than the cnf yield
    pl reply me
    thanks
    regards
    vinoth

    Hi Vinoth,
Confirmed quantity means the qty which you confirm in Tcode : CO11 / CO11N against a production Order.
Delivered Quantity is the Goods Received qty agains the order. Goods Receipts can be done using of the two methods :
    1. Using Tcode : MB31 against a production order
    2.  Auto goods receipts by using the Relevant Control Key in the Routing Last operation. i.e While the last operation is confirmed the system does the GR in teh background.
    - If you are using the first option mentioned above then they is no relation between Confirmation qty and GR qty unless you use a exit to check the confirmed qty while making GR in Tcode : MB31 OR MIGO.
    - If you are using the second option i.e Auto GR control Key then the confirmed qty must be equal to GR (delivered qty) provided there are no goods movemement errors while confirmation saving. If there are any movement failures during confirmation, you can check the same in Tcode : COGI.
In your case you can check the COGI and clear the error , then both the Confirmation and Delivered qtys will match.

  • Issue about requirement quantity in production order

    Hello:
Requirement quantity shows negative number when I am creating production order, as I checked its BOM it is ok,what's wrong?

    Allen,
Check in CS03 in the item level details of that component for Co-Product check box activation. Also check in BOM whether its maintained in negative quantity. This component would also be defined with Co-product check box in MRP views.
If the above are not true then manually someone would have changed., so would suggest you to just try creating a production order manually to check.

  • Capacity Requirement From Released Production Order

    Hi PP Gurus,
Can i limit capacity requirement only from released production order ? I don't want to count requirement from production order that just created but not yet release.
    Regards,
    Arman Lie

    Dear Arman,
As a standard practice the system creates the capacityrequirements once the production order is created.
    Check this,
When a production order is created the following actions are carried out:
    ·        A routing is selected, its operations and sequences are transferred to the order
    ·        The bill of materials is exploded and the items in the bill of material are transferred to the order
    ·        Reservations are generated for bill of material items held in stock
    ·        The planned costs for the order are generated
    ·        The capacity requirements are generated for the work centers
    ·        Purchase requisitions are generated for non-stock items and externally-processed operations

  • Difference between "Requirement qty" and "Required qty" in COOIS

    Hello,
in order to check consumed components in Production Orders, I want to compare in COOIS "Quantity withdrawn" with the quantity that should be really consumed, and I find 2 fields that not always display the same info:
    1) "Requirement quantity"
    2) "Required quantity"
And I don't know which one should I use for this purpose.
    Thanks

    Dear,
Requirement quantity refers to the actual quantity of materials(BOM) found under the components tab of the production order.
So,you should compare the "requirement quantity" with "withdrawn quantity" for comparing the actual material required with the material issued to an order.
    Please check and revert.

  • Variant settlement required for selected Production Orders

    Hi Experts
I am using KO88 for individual settlement of Production order
    Using CO88 for collective settlement
Now I need to reverse selected orders.  Is there perhaps a settlement like K08G (int order/PM)
It must be able to take a variant that I will download these Production orders?
    Please help ASAP
    Many thanks
    Dawn

    Dawn-
I know that there is no transaction code that you can use to reverse multiple production orders settlement. But, look at this program "RKO7CO88". This is the settlement program where you can plug in individual order numbers and it also has an option to select reverse settlement. I would test once in your test system before doing it in live system.
    Hope this helps.

  • Restricting production order qty while the converting planned order

    Dear all Hi,
I have a planned order for 10 qty. While converting it to production order the system is allowing me to increase the qty to more than 10 (eg 11 qty) & it is saving the production order.
But the clients requirement is that system should not allow the user to create the production order for qty more than palnned order qty.
Please help/suggest how to get this restriction from the system.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
If that is the case, then eliminate the Process of manual conversion of Planned Order to production order.
You can use the Program PPBICO40.
Schedule this Program as a background job, after the MRP Run.
Authorization management with strict monitoring will eliminate this type of process.

  • Production Order Qty- Inspection Lot Qty

    Hi Guru's,
When an  production order is relreased an inspection lot is creaetd with the production Qty. But later when we change Qty for  the released Prodction Order the inspection lot  Qty is not changes it remains the same as previous Order Qty.
Say for Ex: intial Prod  order qty (MTS Scenario) is 200 (production order released). Inspection lot Qty is 200.
Later  User changes the Qty to  100. Our problem is the inspection lot qty  does not change ramins the same as 200. Can inspection lot qty be changed automically on change of production order qty .
What settings need to change? pls advise

    Sankaran
Edited by: Sankaran M on Oct 10, 2008 9:41 AM

    Hi Sankaran,
It is possible if the user not doing any result against existing lot.
    Follow the Below step.
Your Existing order Qty = 200 Nos Inspection lot no 300000200.
Now you want change the Qty as 200 to 100.
Before change the qty, first you have to delete the Inspection lot Go to CO02 -> Got to menu Functions -> Inspection lot -> Delete.
    Now change the Qty 100.
And Again go to Functions -> Inspection Lot -> Create. and save the order.
Now system will delete the Old indpection lot and create the new inspection lot.
    Qty : 100 Inspection Lot 300000201.
    Revert further clarification.

  • Production Order created from Planned order  qty should not be changed

    Dear PP Gurus,
IKindly give your valuable inputs on the below mentioned subject.
From MD04  planned order is converted to production order user should not be able to reduce the requirement quantity below Production Order quantity.
    Thanks & regards,
    Shanmugam Balamurugan

    Hi,
This is common problem. to control this you need to develop an user exit . This exit will check the fixed lot size in material master and will compare with the quantity of production order. The exit will get fired at the time of order saving.
If any miss-match happens system will give an error message
