The data is not downloaded in Mobile Client 7.1

Hello,
We encountered a problem in Mobile 7.1 - the data is not downloaded to the clients. The synchronization between Doe and the backend works well, all the relevant information was downloaded to the DOE but when we present the application on the client, no data is dispalyed.
We have two questions:
1. How can we check if the data was downloaded to the client database (we are using MaxDB)?
2. What can be the problem that the data is not displayed?

Hi Sergey,
There can be many reasons why data is not present on your client or it can also be that data is already downloaded to the device but not shown in your application. So follow this steps:
Case 1. Data present in device but not shown in application
First of all you need to check if data is already downlaoded to device or not. Since you are using laptop client with MAXDB, there are lots of tools available to check this. Check if there is any data in the tables created in folder "DATA" in your NW Mobile client 7.1. If data is already present, then check what is wrong with your application.
Case 2. Data is not downloaded for your device from DOE
1. First check if you have created any distribution model for your data objects or not.
2. Then check if they are active and generated without any errors.
3. Then check in Rule Administration in portal, if the rules are active or not. If not then activate them.
4. Even if rules are active and data is not downloaded, then check if DMSWCV is assigned to your device or not in device administration.
5. If not assigned already,then assign it and make sure it goes to operation mode. Then only your data will be donwloaded.
6. If DMSWCV is also assigned and data is not yet downloaded to device, then check in device administration, click on "Pending Extracts" link and make sure no instances are present in pending extracts. But if you have pending extracts then click on "Trigger Pending Extracts" link. Then data should be downloaded to device.

Many thanks for your post. I've been trying for days to get this sorted and was getting well fed up with I-Tunes. Really thought i'd never get it working again. Tried un-installing it, loading older versions and they still wouldn't work.

The data does not encrypt using Wallet!

I've created a wallet to encrypt/decrypt the data, but when I change any column to be ecrypted by this command:
alter table accounts modify (ssn encrypt); --accounts is the table containing ssn column to be ecrypted.
and then inserting data on it, the data does not appear in encrypted format it appears in it's truth format!
how to make the data ecrypted?

how to make the data ecrypted?Did you go back and read that what does TDE(transparent data encryption) actually does? It does NOT make your column look encrypted but makes the physically stored data in teh datafile as encrypted which otherwise can be reverse engineered by someone and can be read. In your case, whatever is happening is the right thing.

I had this problem as well but found the soultion on another post from turingtest2 - it worked for me:
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or by right-clicking the downloaded installer and selectingRun as Administrator.

Hello, I'm a beginner in ligthswitch, so, I made a couple of screens and I made the database and attach to the application but when i want to save the new records shows me this error:
The data could not be saved because the server could not be contacted. Please check your network connection and try saving again.
The operation has timed out.
I verify the database, the record is saved but the application show me the error.
Please help me I have to deliver this screens today.

I researched this error message, I think you can try the methods below:
Increase the timeout of the connection between the client and the server
Increase Client timeout, and it is set in the Application class in the Client Project

I have a very simple test LS App:
1 Table "Person" with 1 property "Name"
One totally standard Editable Grid
So no complicated calculations that could timed out...
When I hit F5 the screen launches and shows the data, but when I try to create a new Person it waits for about 2 minutes and then the following error appears:
The data could not be saved because the server could not be contacted. Please check your network connection and try saving again. The Operation timed out.
Despite the error the data gets persisted on the database.
I am on VS 2013 Pro Update 4 and SQL Server LocalDB 2012 (v11.0).

If you decide to try again I would:
1) Uninstall Visual Studio
2) Uninstall SQL Server (all versions)
3) Re-install SQL Server
4) Re-Install Visual Studio

Try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Delete the incomplete tracks from your library, sending them to recycle bin, then download them again from your purchased history. If the problem persists use the "report a problem" links from your account history to contact the iTunes store support staff.
Are the incomplete tracks ones that you had previewed before purchasing the album? If so there may be a bug that needs reporting. See this recent post which explains why I ask the question...

Thanks so much for your reply King_Penguin. No, sadly there is not indication of the expected release date on the film, it's no where to be found. I have also tried to look in other places online, but no luck. Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the current copies from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.
