The transfer of BT e-mail sub-accounts

Hi,
I am in need of some help.  I have tried looking online almost everywhere but instead of finding an answer I seem to have managed to find a lot of different answers
In short I am in need of moving or transfering an existing email sub account from one BT account to another.  The reason being that the old primary account is now dead (so time is running out) and I now have a new primary account (separate to the last) that I have already transferred the the primary email address from old to new.  I now need to transfer the 2 sub accounts llinked with this primary account from old to new also.  Is this possible?  is there an online facility to do this?
All help is greatly appreciated.

  • E-mail sub-accounts

I followed all procedures in the tutorial to set up an e-mail sub-account for e-mail through MY ACCOUNT.  I then created a new identity in Outlook Express 6 for the sub-account, using the tutorial, step-by-step.
However, I cannot send e-mail from my new sub-account.  I can receive e-mail however.
    Here's the error message.
The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was 'my new sub-account e-mail address'. Subject 'test', Account: 'incoming.verizon.net', Server: 'outgoing.verizon.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.7.1 Authentication Required', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC78
Any idea what is going on?

I have been trying to create a new e-mail sub-account.  I follow the instructions and then this message >

This username can now be used to access

That is it nothing else happens and when I try to log in the sub account does not exist.  I tried the BT chat line and all they did was confirm the sub account did not exist.  Any suggestions

    Hi.
Can you pop back and edit the initial post in this thread to remove the email address ?
I've just created one, and the info says :-
    "Congratulations, your sub-account ..."
which is slightly different wording to yours.
The "more info" item also shows as blank on my Firefox screen, though the source is pretty much all javascript, so could well be browser specific, or just bad coding.
However my sub account was fine (actually created 2).
Have you tried emailing the sub account to see if you get any bounce message ? It could be that the login problem is due to the issue that some people have to login to their accounts. It may start working after a few more days.
Have you tried more than once to add the same email address, and getting the "congratulations" message each time ?

That link appears to be for me to change my password. Mine is working fine it is just sub accounts that it does not recognise.
I have just tried it and changed the password on one of my sub accounts.
You enter the sub account you wish to change
You answer the security questions for the main account holder
You can then change the sub address password. It does not change the primary account password.
Its done that way to prevent sub account holders changing their password without permission from the main account holder.

Our e-mail has been hacked. I recently changed my password but don't know how to change my spouse's sub-account password.

Your email account passwords are administered with your email provider. You have to work with them to change the account password. Most providers have a link to reset passwords on their email help page.

  • Bt Yahoo! Premium mail sub account can't use POP3

    Hi,
Hope there is someone who can help me out with this email problem - I've tried everything I can think of and am still stuck!
I have a btinternet.com premium mail account. The primary account works fine, no problems at all.
I have a sub-account that also used to work fine, but since 9th September 2011 won't pick up email via POP3. I can log into it via webmail, I can post from Mozilla Thunderbird using SMTP, but when I try and pick up the mail via POP I get the following error message:
Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.mail.yahoo.com responded 'Access to this service is not permitted'.
So, bearing in mind that I'm using the same mail client, the same server settings, the correct password (because I know it works with Webmail), the same firewall settings as the primary account which still works fine, is it reasonable to conclude that this is a BT Yahoo! server issue?
And if so, does anyone have any idea how to get it resolved? I got transferred to the Premium Mail Help Dept, who wanted to be granted remote access to the box and hung up on me when I refused to allow them.
Using the logging facility on Thunderbird, the crucial part of the handshake seems to be this bit:

    Hi. Welcome to the forums.
Have you tried altering the server to mail.btinternet.com (which is the proper one to use) or maybe pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
Have a look at my shortcuts (link below), option 12b - logging in with the sub account. It will tell you the product ID.
I've just tried pop.mail.yahoo.com and get the same message as you

  • Automatic Payment Program(F111) not picking Bank Sub accounts

    Dear all,
The entiries genertaed from automatic payment program(F111) is not picking the bank sub accounts (Receipts/Payment GLs) which are given in the following node:-
Financial Accounting --> Bank Accounting --> Business Transactions -->Payment Transactions --> Payment Request --> Define Clearing Accts forReceiving Bank for Acct. Transfer
It is picking the Main Bank GL, which has given in bank master(FI12).
    Please advise.
    Thanks & regards
    Ramesh Nair

    Hi,
The config : Financial Accounting --> Bank Accounting --> Business Transactions -->Payment Transactions --> Payment Request --> Define Clearing Accts for Receiving Bank for Acct. Transfer
Is to decide bank sub account of the sending bank, when you are doing Bank to Bank transfer. This is manditory for cash management bank to bank transfer. Please read the config documentation again.
I just cut and paste from SAP documentaion.
"In this activity you define the offsetting accounts for the receiving bank accounts for bank account transfers (payments between house bank accounts) which should be posted to when payment is made.
The entries are necessary when payment requests are created for cash management payment advice notes that result from cash concentration, for example. The offsetting accounts for the paying house bank are determined by the payment program specifcations and the payment methods used. The offsetting accounts for the receiving house bank cannot be determined from these specifications, however, but can be defined in this section. "
Now, when you are creating payments with F111 and if you want to get sub accounts for house bank you have to do the following config.
F111 -> Maintain Configuration -> Bank determination -> Bank accounts ( for each accont id and payment method combination ).
Then you will see payments from this sub accounts and you have to setup posting rule to clear this account if you are doing EBS.

  • How to reenable an e-mail sub-account?

    Respects all;
I have an e-mail sub-account that when I try to send to it returns a message it is "temporarily disabled"
I deleted the sub-account that had been phished, then found out I needed to get it back.  When I attempted to activate the same name, I got a message the name was not available... between the two messages, this indicates to me that the name is still in the Verizon system.  How can I reenable this account and access to the old e-mails?
    Thanks,  Grumppa

Once an account is deleted, there is no way to gain access to it again. I am sorry for the loss of access as well as the deletion of all the messages in the account. The disclaimer prior to deletion of a sub account states...
    Delete a Sub-Account
You are about to delete the following sub-account:
If you delete this account you won't be able to create another account with the same name. All files stored in personal Web Space, Verizon Online Backup & Sharing and the associated email account will be deleted.

  • Migrated sub account no access

I tried to migrate a sub account to BT Mail and now I am unable to access via webmail or any email clients.
When trying to log in with webmail I see 1 of 2 messages:
    1) username or password not recognised.
    Or
    2) account is locked.
Now as part of the migration a BT ID should have been created but this clearly has not as I am unable to log into it as my details are not recognised!
This also means that I cannot try & reset the password as the provided link takes to me to BT Yahoo.
Can anyone provide me some suggestions to try and get this account working again.

Thanks for the info I have tried following your suggestion of linking it to my BT ID but the password is not recoginised,. This was changed as part of the BT ID process last night so something must have gine wriong with it at that point also the original password is not recognised either. Just before the error message appears saying 'Incorrect password please try again' a green tick is shown to the side of the password box.
The other problem if I try and use the forgotten password option for that sub account that to errors with username not found!!
Below is a screen grab of my email accounts the first 3 are linked to my BT ID the other are not. Just to clrify where the sub account lies.

  • Verizon email sub account storage

How do I increase the storage size for a email sub account?

Verizon sub accounts only get 250 MB of email storage. There is no way to change that limit.
If you need more space, you might consider downloading your mail to a client (Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, etc.) instead of keeping it on Verizon's servers. That way you are only limited by the amount of space on your pc. The downside of this is that your email is only stored on the one computer.
I believe portalling with Yahoo bumps the limit up for subs, but there are limitations there as well. It seems Yahoo isn't available for customers in areas that are moving to Frontier.
An alternate "solution" is to get a free address somewhere else. (Gmail, for example, offers over 7 gigs of space.) You can either use the free address as your email address, or simply forward all of your verizon.net mail to it and set up your @verizon.net address as a reply address within that account. With some domains, you can even set up your verizon.net account as a pop3 account, and use them in a fashion similar to OE, but have your content available on the web.
Hopefully this information is helpful to you.

  • Am I backscattering?  and non mail user accounts having mail received.

10.6.4 Server fresh install on a new Mac Pro. I have configured our mail server using only Server Admin. Junk mail is set to be redirected to the junkmail account and not bounced.
FIRST ISSUE - am I backscattering? In looking at the logs I see what looks to me like attempts by our server to notify a presumably forged sender that their message was being turned down by our server. The log listing below for 1 message as an example uses the term bounced once each for the destined user (who is set NOT to receive mail in WGM) and our postmaster account.
I am seeing lists of delayed items in the mail queue in Server Admin > Mail > Maintenance > Mail Queue. All of those messages are going from the Mailer-daemon to the presumably forged FROM: address of items delivered to our junkmail account.
SECOND ISSUE : The requested user in this example does not exist as an email recipient on the server. Shouldn't the message be refused outright? These messages are being accepted by the server and Server Admin > Mail > Maintenance > Accounts keeps showing mail accounts for the user here and another user that are the server is not accepting mail for. If I delete the account in Server Admin window above, they return again within a day or so. Ideas?
    Thanks for looking at this.

  • Bank Sub-Account clearing during FF.5

    Hello All,
We would like to know is there any way to clear the Bank Transitory Account at the time of FF.5(Bank Statement Processing in SAP).
Typically the postings in the case of Vendor Payments are as below
    At the time of APP(F110)
    Vendor a/c                      Dr                   XXX
         Bank Sub-Account     Cr                              XXX
    At the time of FF.5
    Bank Sub-Account          Dr                    XXX
           Main Bank Account   Cr                               XXX
At this point, Bank Sub-Account Debit and Credit are lying as open items.  Our expectation is to clear the Bank Sub-Account(Dr & Cr) as the balance is 0. This also needs to be achieved at the time of FF.5 also.
This can be achieved through F.13(Automatic Clearing), based on the criteria as an additonal step. But our Customer expects this to happen at the time of FF.5 only.
Any pointers to the above problem would be of great help.
    Thanks and Regards
    Balaji Kancherla

Do the transactions in the bank statement match one-to-one with vendor payments in the bank sub-account?  That is, the amount of a bank statement transaction matches the amount of the open item in the bank sub-account.  If so, set the interpretation algorithm to 000.  When the amounts match 1-to-1, posting type 4 is all that should be needed - SAP will clear on the amount.
If the transactions in the bank statement are one-to-many - one bank statement transaction for multiple vendor payments, then you will probably need an interpretation algorithm and possibly a search string.  What you need depends the information available in the bank statement to tie the bank statement transaction to the open items.

  • Unable to reset password on sub accounts

I'm struggling to change the password on a couple of sub accounts that my family has forgotten, unfortunately when I use the password resetter it seems to get confused. I checked to make sure the security info on my primary email address was correct.
The password resetter seems to point me to the helpdesk but this only gives me more options that then send me back to the resetter.
I rang the helpdesk but unfortunately after half an hour of messing around, the guy was difficult to understand, and when I asked him to email me the reset password on the first account he apparently was not able to email me. It seems that customer service do not have email facilities.
Whilst I'm not overly bothered about the sub accounts I do have some that are important to me and not being able to easily change the password on them seems to me to be a major failing.
I realise that this is not BT and the connection with yahoo is loose to say the least it does seem a shame that what should be a very simple task is being made very hard by a combination of language issues and technology not working correctly.
I have tried the step by step but it just pointed me at teh same failing resetter function
If anyone in the BT care team can help it would be very much appreciated.
    Alan

Sadly I mentioned the difficulty on that number right in the first message, I spent 30 minutes, they really didn;t know what they were doing and I had to give up. The conversation was very difficult as I could barely understand what was being said half the time. I asked the CSO to email the reset password to my primary email but this was not possible apparently they are fixing email but don;t have any access to email !
I'll wait and see if anyone else has a solution before I call them again, perhaps a custoner care person may be watchin gand take pity on me otherwise i'll just email Ian livingstone and see what he's got to say ;-)
    thanks for trying though,

  • Unable to create iTunes account for MobileMe Family sub-accounts

    Greatings,

The MobileMe account works fine in all other respects except when I go to iTunes and enter the id and pass word I an taken to the screen to accept the terms of service and select the country (Canada in my case) and all goes well until I have to enter the address and billing info. At that point the system says sorry can't proceed try again some other time. several other times later it still won't work.
Is this a limitation of the sub-accounts on mobileMe?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
    M

I was having the same trouble with my MobileMe sub-accounts (MobileMe Family Plan). I went through all the support emails and calls with no success. I fixed the problem by removing the affected sub-account/email address and then re-established the same sub-account/email address. When you re-establish the sub-account/email address it will tell you that you cannot since it already exists - but there is an option to re-establish the sub-account/email address by entering the correct password. After I did this, I could manage the sub-account/email address with no problems whether it was in iTunes or in the management of the AppleID settings.
