Time scheduling by the Plan order (MD02)

Hi,
Does the the scheduling margin time be considered by (start and finish date) for plan order after MD02.
If yes how can I customize the system
Is the Time scheduling important for the plan order or only for the production order?
I've set in the Material master for my Material 4 days by the scheduling margin.
When I execute MD02. The system doesn't consider the 4 days by (start and finish date)  from the plan order.
It only consider the Goods receipt processing time.
Is the Goods receipt processing time relevant only for the plan order and the scheduling margin time for the production order?
Thanks.

Dear ,
Did you miaintain the Scheuling Margin Key in OPPR , Material Master -MRP2 and routing ??
Generally , to define the order float  we need the scheduling margin key in OPPQ .The scheduling margin key is copied from the material master -MRP2 view . The float before production or float after production and the release period are defined in the scheduling margin key
For Customizing you need to go in OPPR or in   Shop Floor Control, by choosing Operations --> Scheduling --> Define Scheduling Margin Key . This key gets  transferred when the production order is created from planned order or direct production order  These values can be changed in the production ordr only .
While running MRP , it will not cosider the SMK  for scheuling purpose  because MRP does not carry our detail scehduling based on Work Centre available capacity  where as it takes the routing operation time and perfomr the scheuling to gerenrate the Planned Order Dates .

  • Scheduling problem in planned order.

    Hi all,
I have a problem in scheduling of planned orders.
I had mentioned the following parameters.
    1. Available capacity in the work center as 06:00:00 to 12:00:00
2.Set up time is 10mins in the routing.
    3. The planned order qty is 100 nos.
While doing manual scheduling in planned order, the system proposes the start time as 11:50am and finish time as 12:00am. But as per calculation, for 100nos x 10 mins = 1000 min = 17 hrs.
But the system calculated 10 mins for 100 nos.
Is there anything i am missing , due to which the system is doing wrong scheduling.
    With regards,
    Afzal

    dear afzal ,
system is taking setup time only for first piece you are machining and for rest other 99 piece its not considering the setup time.
Check in the formula you are using if its defined as only to consider one time the setup activity or its taking piece wise/quantity  wise.
Check and change it , it will solve your problem.
    Hope it helps you.
    regards

  • MRP not rescheduling the planned order by itself

    Hi,
After MRP i could see that the planned order is not present as per the date of the requriement whereas the planned order at a future date is given a Exception message 30 : Plan accordingly to schedule and proposed the date of the requirement. The requirement is beyound the replenishement lead time and hence MRP should reschedule by itself the planned order as per the date of the requirement rather than giving a exception message as above for a future dated planned order.
I am not sure what is it i am missing. Could you explain.
    Thank you

    Dear ,
MRP will re schedule the planned order based couple of inputs and checks during MRP run .Basically , it depends on following
In MRP exectuion you should  keep : Procesisng Indicator : NETPL: The system only plans materials that have undergone a change that is relevant to the planning run within the period which you defined as the planning horizon. The system sets the net change planning horizon indicator automatically for these materials
    Planning Mode : 3-Delete and Re-create Planning
It also depend on following set up  and you need to analysie that :
1.Planning Time Fence : based on the PTF , there will not be any automatic changes relevent for MRP
2.MRP Type : PD , it will adoped normal planning and it will not re-schedule order proposal automatically  .In you case  can use P1-Automatic Firming and Re-schedule Out Of Order Proposal based planning time Fence
3.Keep your Planning Horzon more than the Highest Material Lead Time in Material Master MRP2 View
    Please check and revert

  • Planned order MD11/Planned order MD02 for sale order

    hi
How to identify a planned order ref to sale order created manually MD11 or created by MRP run MD02.
is there any table entries plaaned order and transaction codes?
i got two planned orders qty1 and qty5  from a client for same sale order item.
    what could be possibilites.

    Dear,
    Couple of check,
    1) Check  Lotsize ?
    2)Planning strategy?
    3)Individual /collective requirements indicator in MRP4 view?
For MTO, you will get one Planned Orders per one requirement element.
So, you are getting number of Planned Orders for FG?
For MTS Scenarion, the Lot Size EX will work just like the Daily lotsize (TB).
So, system will club all the requiremnts per day and propose the Planned Orders for 1 day requirements.
You will get separate planned orders for the Next day.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Planning time Fence and  Firmed Planned Orders

    Hi,
Withing our 30 days planning time Fence, MD04 is showing * mark against the planned order, but when we drill inside the planned order, Firming indicator is missing.
    Using M1/ P1 MRP type.
    1) Is this a correct oservation?
    2) How does it affect the availability check, if we are considering Firmed Planned order to be included in the Av Chk. Will this planned order be considered with the Availability check?
    Thnx!
    Abhi.

    Dear,
Let us understand with an example
    MRP type = P1
    Time fence = 30 days
Let say you have created 3 requirements
    01.12.2007 - 100 TO
    01.01.2008 - 100 TO
    01.02.2008 - 100 TO
Let me know what are you expecting the syatme to do if you run MRP  today?

  • At the time of entering the OUn (order unit) it is picking the"(inch symbol

    Hi Gurus,
User trying to create the PO,at the time of entering the OUn (order unit) it is picking the " (inch symbol) instead of" EA".as i observed in the material master the pur group has changed only.earlier they are created the PO it is picked the correct OUn.
        Please help me for this.
    Regards
    krishna

This will happen if either in the material master or in the info-record "inch" has been specified as the order unit and its relationship with EA is maintained there. If you don't want it, then remove this order unit from either of this place

  • How to change the components of the planned order? (FM or BAPI)

I need to change the storage(LGORT) in the components.
I found only MD_PLDORD_CHANGE_COMP_ITEMS, but could not get the correct result.
Has anyone used this FM to change the components of the planned order?
Can you please tell how to use it. Or advise an alternative solution.

    Hi Anton,
There's a BAPI to change planned orders - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CHANGE, but it allows to change only header data.
Therefore you'll have to go a bit longer, and use a couple of other BAPIs:
First read the order that you want to change - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_GET_DETAIL
Second, create a new planned order with the changed data, based on the read planned order - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_CREATE.
Third, delete the old planned order - BAPI_PLANNEDORDER_DELETE.

  • Incorrect Sales order line item assignment to the Planned order

    Hi,
I am creating a sales order & then MRP run to get planned orders.
The sales order has one assembly line item, which is a configurable material. Inside the configuration of the assembly, I maintain some components. After saving it explodes and the same components reflect below line items of the assebly in sales order.
Now if I run MRP there is a requirement for the component and so the planned order is created for the component. But If I open the planned order & see inside its Assignment view, there is correct sales order number, but the line item its showing is that of Assembly and not of the component. Why ? Is there any wrong in configuration or any wrong in planning type ?
I checked correct Item category is used.
    MRP Type - PD
Correct requirement type is used in procurement view.
I think what ever is comming is standard SAP functionality. But I am not sure.
The client is saying, thie is wrong and because of this the warehouse guy is picking the wrong material (As the line number is wrong).
    Please suggest here.

    Hi Sambit,
We assign the Ordet type(Production order/ Planned order/ Network) to the requirment class to let the system know that for the material which has this requirment class , system chould create a Planned/ Procustion order. When you assign this normally system should create it automatically based on the settings. Requirment class comes from the requirment type which comes from the Item category and MRP type(*Genarally). Also check if there is any startegy Group assigned to the material in the material master and also the MRP group. Check the strtegy group defualts in the transaction "OPPS"(rEQUIRMENT TYPE /class FOR CUstome requirments). The best thing you could do is make the screen shots of the assembly header and the component's requirment classes and tell the business that based on this sytem is creating the planned order. And also check the plant parameters and the MRP group parameters in "OPPQ" and "OPPR" respectively. Kindly please let me know if you need any more infromation on this.

  • What is the effect of the planned order after it is converted to production

    Hello Gurus,
1.There was a planned order with wrong date 2041 instead of 2011
    2. plannedorder is already converted to production order and is visble in assignment tab of the production order
3.when I  am tryng to display the planned order it gives error planned order is not exists.
    4. Production order is already delivered
Now will there be any  effect  on finanace or any other ,if the planned order was created with wrong date,
can we now change the date of planned order , but it says does not exist as it is already converted to prod order.
Please let me know the implications of wrong date and how we can correct the date from 2041 to 2011
    Thanks in Advance
    Himakar

    Dear Himakar,
As explained by our forum member, once after the planned order is converted into production order, the entire planned order
details gets deleted from table PLAF and the planned order dates can be changed in the production order and there is no
business impact other than the planned/production/actual dates.
However the planned order no deatils can be checked in the production order.

  • How to view the planned orders in mass and how to delete in mass

    Hi gurus,
How to view the planned orders in mass and how to delete in mass.
    Regards
    R.Rajakarthik

    Hi,
Use the collective display of planned orders, transaction code MD16.
You can select the data by different options and choose which ones or all that you need to delete.
Click the Delete button to trash them.
This will delete planned orders without deleting the planned independent requirements and sales orders.
    Hope it helps

  • Modifying Sales order in ECC does not modify the planned order in APO?

    Hello,
I have the next situation, a MTO scenario, LPP material,:
    - users create a sales order, quantity 2000M, 2 individual lenghts by 1000M. In automatically, being a MTO scenario, APO generates a planned order to fulfill the requirement with 2000 M qty, individual lenght 1000.
    - users modify the sales order, the quantity 2000 M remains, but will change it in 1 individual lenght by 2000M. APO cancels the precendently created planned order and generates another one, with individual lenght 2000.This is OK.
-users modify the sales order, the quantity remains 2000 M, but again 2 individual lenghts by 1000 M. In this case, the planned order is not cancelled, as expected, but remains with individual lenght 2000, which is not ok.
Any idea how to fix this?

    Alex

  • Dedicated scheduling of a planned order having a fixed activity

    Hi Gurus,
We're using PP/DS Optimizer with Total Delay Costs objective function, following a Backwards Scheduling strategy in order to Reduce Premature Scheduling. Order activities are then scheduled as close as possible from the requirement dates. However we would wish to apply a forward scheduling strategy to the orders having a fixed activity, but starting from the existing order planned start date instead from the system date, i.e:
    Requirement X due on 18.01.2012
    Output firmed planned order Y with 3 activities (A1, A2, A3), A2 beeing fixed
Optimization result with a Backward scheduling strategy:
    A1 09.11.2011
    A2 18.11.2011
    A3 17.01.2012
Optimization result when Backward scheduling setting is unchecked
    A1 NOW
    A2 18.11.2011
    A3 17.01.2012
The business requirement we d'like to achieve
    A1 09.11.2011
    A2 18.11.2011
    A3 19.12.2011
It is not foreseen to fix A1 to bypass the problem, above example is only a basic example whereas there're multiple activities in between A1 & A2 in our real material PDS. Is there any way (even with another optimization run, or using in combination a Production Planning Run...) to achieve such a scheduling strategy?
    BR,
    Pascal.

    Hi,
To add further and to more precise, the issue is:
In CM01[or in any capacity evaluation tcode], In a particular maonths load[Period] the opeartion from different month is showing up.
For example: if Period[month] 06 is veiwed of a Workcenter load, a line[load appears], whose earliest date is in 7th month[01.07.2014].
I expected to see, only Workcenters scheduled in 6th month to show up in the load evaluation.
Please look at the screen shot.

  • Order type while converting the planned order to prodcution order

    Hi All,
While converting planned orders to production orders, it is always creating the production order with same order type. Can I change the order type?
Is there any configuration settings for it??
    Thank you.
    Anil

    Anil,
If you want to have different order types for different materials then you can define that in transaction OPPR for MRP Groups - Planned order conversion section and assign this MRP group to the relavant materials in Material Master MRP1 view.
If you are looking at having different order types for a material based on MTS or MTO scenario, then please assign the different order types for the process in Production scheduling profile through transaction OPKP and then assign this profile to material master- work scheduling view.

  • Setup time not seen for Planned Orders/ Man Orders in GPB

    Hi all,
I'm facing an issue where I'm unable to see the Setup activity(green bar) in the Graphical Planning Board for Planned Orders and Manufacturing Orders.
At first I thought this was only happening for Planned Orders in Released status. However this behavior seems to be erratic with some orders on the same Product showing Setup whereas others are not.
    Any ideas?
    ~Rishi

    Hi,
I am assuming you are using setup matrix .
In case of setup matrix system will take setup time from setup matrix.
If two planned order are created for the same product, system will consider the setup time for the first. For the second it will not show setup time (becasue most probably you have maintained product x to product x - o times).
