i have to validate the current date with the time stamp i read into tstamp.

Time Stamp problem while writing data into the excel file
Hii, All
I am taking the data from the DAQ card of the TOPSCCC with the 8 ms of scanrate for each channel and there are total 16 no of Analog channels in the Card, now i am acquiring the data from the card, time stamping it and writing it into the excel file, which is tab delimited, now the problem is, the data which are in the excel file have the same timestamp for 4 to 5 continuous records, instead we want each data with the different and continuous time stamp with same difference of time stamp between two records, mean if it is difference of 8 ms then it should be the 8 ms for all, but here it is taking the differnce of 16 ms for two samples and giving same time stamp for four to five records and that shouldn't happen, here i am attaching my vi, drivers for the cards and Excel file with the data, can you please give me any suggestion how to do it?
Please help me i require this suggestion as early as possible, i am requiring it urgently.
Thanks in Advance,

Hello Everyone,
I have one SCADA system running with CITADEL as database environment.. last day due to SMPS fail inside CPU, my whole system went shutdown.. After restart, my time stamp was changed, may be due to weak motherboard battery ... I restarted my LabVIEW based application for data acqusition and storage ..
This effected the data storage going through that computer .. My system time went to 04/05/1640.. And inside MAX > Historical Database > CITADEL the all tag was having start day as "04/05/1640" and last date as "unable to find" .. Then i corrected my system date/time and restarted application and tag engine.. but my time stamp is still same in CITADEL
This is creating problem in exporting my data in DIAdem format .. I am afraid do my all last data recorded before went off ?
1) How to check CITADEL data in some other computer without pulling data out from citadel interface? .. I mean to ask is there any way to copy data from computer and read it in other computer having MAX and CITADEL ..
2) How to recover all recorded data, as my export is giving no data inside tag ?
Thanks for any help
HSTo recover the old database, One thing we can do is rebuild the index for the old database. We do this by going into MAX and right clicking the old database and selecting detach. After it is detached, navigate to the database on your hard drive and delete the pid.cdih file. Then, go back to MAX and attach the database back into citadel. When reattached without the index file, it will rebuild the index for your database. This may take a bit, but might recover your data.
Or You could go to another PC and try to get into the database. The problem could be on your PC and not the database PC. -
Synchronize file time stamp problems
I upload files from Dreamweaver (CS3) to the server. The time
stamp on the local files will say 3:37 p.m., but the time stamp on
the remote server will say 7:44 p.m.
Also, when I select synchronize, it will tell me that some of
the files on the server are newer than locally, even though I know
they aren't. But it does not give me this message consistently, and
it seems untroubled by the three hour difference referenced above.
Any ideas? A few other people at another location make
changes to this site, so it is critical to know when something
really has changed.
I am new to Dreamweaver, coming over from GoLive, so maybe I
am missing something obvious in settings somewhere? Didn't have
this trouble in GoLive. Thanks for replying. I did think of server location. However,
I am on the East Coast, so the time difference would put the server
in the middle of the Atlantic. Also, I have been told the server is
in Denver, although I am not sure if that is true.
Also, I later logged on to the server through their control
panel, completely outside of Dreamweaver, and the date and time
stamps of the files I looked at bore absolutely no relation to
reality. Perhaps the server is a mess somehow?
Anyone else have these problems and can point me to any
reading or help files? Thanks. -

I'm thinking this might have to do with the system clock, except in FreeBSD and the BIOS the date/time is correct.I'm guessing your system clock is wrong in Arch. Type "date" and see if it's the right time... and check /etc/rc.conf to make sure you have HARDWARECLOCK and TIMEZONE set right.

Time Zone won't save in Date & Time = Mac Mail Time Stamp problem
Hi, My Macbook Pro (2.53 Core 2 Duo) (OS 10.5.8) won't keep the time zone I set up in Date and Time under System Preferences. It causes my Mac Mail outgoing timestamp to be GMT rather than PST. I have saved it as PST (w/ lock) but It reverts back to GMT and I am unsure what else to try. Thanks for your ideas on fixing this.
What binding do you have set on the Date/Time field? If it's set to None, change it to normal and it should work fine.

Problem getting calls and time stamp of calls
I'm just about to toss my iphone out the window!
I am having the same problems as others recieving calls when in sleep mode.
I can sometimes get them, but mostly 'miss' them.
THEN...to make matters worse, any time stamp on the calls I've 'missed' is the time I unlock my phone to view them, not when they actually come in.
Tonight I received 3 voice mails. 2 from this morning, one from yesterday.
I don't get it....anyone have any suggestions?Okay...thanks. I think the resetting took care of the time stamp problem.
As for the non-ringing, I may have solved that too.
I had wi-fi turned off. I did't think I needed to have it on as I was fine with AT&T. But with only At&T I was constantly seeing that little Edge symbol.
Once I turned on the wi-fi, the E went away and so far all of my test calls went through.
Well, only time will tell.
Other than that, i love my phone! -
Time Stamp format from file problem
Hey there,
I have a pretty peculiar problem. I'm working on two PCs right now, one is my private laptop running on Windows 8, and the other one the PC at my workplace, running on Windows XP, but on the same version of LabVIEW. I use this method to save the time and date to a tab delimited .txt file. Then later, with another VI, I read the date and time written to file to reconstruct the time stamp. I've noticed that dates written to file from my workplace differ from the dates written from my private PC: in Windows XP, there are "-" separating the day, month and year. In Windows 8, it's "/". There are other differences (see pictures). So naturally, when reading from file using my VI, I can only read on my private PC files (or at least dates) written on my private PC and vice versa, I can't read files written on my private PC on my workplace PC. Can anybody tell me why there's a difference in format, or how to write the date uniformly so I can read it on any PC, or how to read both formats?
So this is the method I use for writing the time and date (the subVI only inserts a certain number of TAB characters).
This is what it looks like on Windows 8
This is what it looks like on Windows XP
This is the VI (attached) I use to read the time stamps (the first row actually contains the time stamp in HH:MM: SS format for a whole bunch of measurements).
Have a nice day.

Extract Time Stamps.vi 22 KBI would suggest using the ISO-8601 UTC format.
The only limitation is that the string value is in reference to GMT.
The conversion of the string back to a timestamp will present the date/time on your front panel indicator as local time.

Time stamp data write to file problem
Hello!
I'm just learning LabView, and have arrived at the stage of writing time-stamped data to text files.
This seems clear enough, however when I examine the file written to disk, I find 4 unexpected characters: 3 spaces and one seemingly random number or punctuation mark, preceding every line!
An example is:
.2005-07-15 10:55:40.0 the value is 0.0000 cm
.2005-07-15 10:55:40.5 the value is 1.0000 cm
The four characters " ." are those whose origin I can't understand. I can't seem to get rid of them.
They seem to change with the input string, but not in a manner I can predict or understand.
Any hints or explanations would be greatly appreciated, as I'm at wit's end after 1/2 day of puzzling over this little problem!

time stamp data write VIs.zip 24 KBAlex,
You found one of the subtle little things that can be frustrating to old-timers and newcomers alike. I did not recognize it until I read the help file (and I have been using LV since version 1.2).
First, the three characters before the commas are nulls (\00).
The reason they are there is in the help file for the Write File.vi. By wiring an array to the data input, you caused the VI to write a header telling what data format was used.
I modified your VI to simply concatenate the strings and then write a simple string to the file. I think this may be what you were after.

Mail delivery problems and incorrect time stamps
I'm running Server 10.4.9 and along with hosting two webpages I am hosting email for one of the domains. Whenever a message is received by an account hosted by my server, the time listed for receiving the email is incorrect. It varies from 1 to 4 hours fast or slow depending on the source of the email. It happens with both incoming and outgoing mail. If a message is sent from one account to another on my server, the time stamp is correct.
In addition to the incorrect time, I have noticed messages directed to one account being delivered to another. For example, in my own mailbox I recieve messages that were intented to go to another user mailbox on my server. I don't know if that is related to the same problem or if it is a spam issue but I figure any bit of information will be helpful.
And finally, I do not believe all mail is reaching the intended mailbox. I have junkmail and notjunkmail accounts enabled for spam and if I redirect 10 emails usually only 5 at the most will make it. I get no return errors when redirecting (ex: undeliverable)
I have checked the obvious time and date panels in OS X including the server admin and everything matches. The timezone is also correct. I type date into the terminal and that comes up correct as well. This isn't my first time configuring a server.... I've hosted mail servers with 10.2 and 10.3 in the past with no problems but this is my first time using 10.4. I'm pretty comfortable navigating through the server, but I have limited experience in terminal. (Just for FYI) Usually with enough time I can figure almost anything out, but I've run out of ideas here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...I'm running Server 10.4.9 and along with hosting two

Where are you looking at the timestamp? On the message headers? Are you taking into account any timezone corrections on same headers? E.g. following message sent from Apple HQ to UK...
Received: from uk2mxserver3-10.uk2.net ... Sun, 15 Apr 2007 10:24:34 +0100 (BST)
Received: from bz3.apple.com ... Sun, 15 Apr 2007 10:24:31 +0100

What does the mail.log show for these messages? You should be able to track them moving through the system.

Generic delta has problem with delts pointer time stamp
Hi All,
We have generic delta data source with Delte pointer as Time stamp. We have not used any safety limits. We are loading the data to DSO and using Additive delta. But the problem is when delta flag is set, there might be a case where some records still being inserted to table with lower time stamp. These records are not being fetched in next delta.
We are planning to keep a safety upper limit of 5 min so that those records can not be missed. But we have a doubt as it is a Additive delta duplicate records will be loaded. If we make the delta to 'new status to changed records', it is going to work?? Any other things we have to check when we make this changes??
Thanks
HaarisHi
If you had selected additive delta then you can load data to DSo with addition mode only. No overwrite possible.
If you want to select new or changed status then you can load to DSO with overwrite mode only.
Additive or changed delta depends on your requirement because if you want to add data to the DSO then you can go ahead with additive otherwise you have to use DSO with overwrite mode only.
You can either give safety upper limit or lower limit but if you give safety lower limit then you can only load data to DSO with overwrite mode because there could be some duplicate records.
Hope it clarifies.

APO : Problem in time stamp select option
Hi All,
I am using a time stamp data elemnt (/SAPAPO/TSUCR) as select option in the selection screen. As the time stamp is a combination of date and time, the user is entering only the date in the selection screen. Say the user is entering data as 27.08.2006, inside the program the select option value is changed to 26.08.2006. We are getting a day less. how can we solve the problem. I had tried using adding a day in the program. Please post your valuable ideas if you had expierience same kind of problem.
Kind Regards,
Vijay DhanasekarHi,
I am not sure if this would be correct. You can change the selection-screen parameter to type 'date' instead of 'timestamp' and convert it into timestamp inside the Program using the FM 'ADDR_CONVERT_DATE_TO_TIMESTAMP'.
Import parameters Value
IV_DATE 2006/09/11
IV_HIGH ' '
Export parameters Value
EV_TIMESTAMP 20060911000000
regards,
Priya.

Problem Occrued in Data loading (Time Stamp Error)
Hi,
Iam scheduled info package after its showing time stamp error in the monitor menu header status is red and details menu 0 records . time stamp error in the source system.
my problem is i have all genric transaction data sources i checked in R/3 in RSA3 and Rsa6 i excuted in that particular data sources are active and its contain some records also.
before loading the data i replicated all data sources these all active in BI system. but once scheduled the infopackage all data sources going to in active status.
i Tried to Execute T code SE38 in BW give programme name as RS_Transtrucuture_activate .
but i dont have authorisation these program to excute.if i want get authorisation i have to wait 3 days.
please suggestme another solution procedure.
Regards,
Diwa(Devakar tati Reddy)Hi,
I am not sure about what BW version are you using. I hope you are using 3.5 or low. After Datasource replication you need to activate your transfer structure / infosource. I understand that you dont have authorization to run the SE38 program to activate the transfer structure. But, you can also try to activate each transfer structure/infosource individually through edit mode of the same. This is the only way out if you donot have the authorization for SE38.
