Timeout Alert
I am running a timer on the client via javascript setTimeout. I need to use the confirm() function to get information from the user. The problem with this is that the confirm loop is stopping the event loop and my time. I was able to do an alert box via a popup to replace the alert, but I don't know how to take the input from my confirm box without continuing the processes after the popup first. So ... my situation is "Are you sure you want to delete?" and I need to keep my timer running. Any suggetions?
Do you really have to alert the user that the session is about to terminate? I mean, because coming up with a reasonably working solution is pretty hard (and ugly). You would have to use some kind of javascript kludge to take care of the timing.
But then it comes to the question about how to detect the actual inactivity. Although this maybe possible to implement with js, it surely will be pain (and I don't even want to know how). Then again the only wayt to prevent session from expiring would be making a request to the server (for example reloading the page). This is the easy part. But what if the user has disabled the javascript? What then?
For me this kind of approach to this problem seems quite an overkill. Many web applications just inform the user at the login page that the session will be terminated after certain amount of inactivity. I would suggest that you do the same unless you want to rip your a** apart by hacking some sort of javascript solution :-)

Session Timeout Alert text is not getting displayed on web ui.
Hello,
In "Session Timeout Alert" pop up we are facing one issue. The pop up is getting displayed as per the value in rdisp/plugin_auto_logout parameter i.e. 1800. But the text is not getting displayed.
I have implemented the SAP Note 1877120 also. Any inputs to resolve this issue.
Thanks.Hi Sigrid,
When we do pre activities related to OTR, need to save it in standard name space only ? could you guide me pls.
in the below we have Alias and package are standard.
1.) There are 4 texts which needs to be configured via SOTR_EDIT to get the translation according your languages implemented in your CRM.
a.) Start doing it by opening transaction SOTR_EDIT.
b.) Change to the language you would like to use.
c.) As ALIAS enter first CRM_IC_CMP_FRAME/SESSION_PING_TITLE. Click on Create and confirm the following dialogues.
d.) Enter CRM_IC_CMP_FRAME as package and the object type as WAPP.
e.) Finally enter the translation according your language from the english version (length of text: 25):
"Session Timeout Alert !"
f.) Save you changes
Repeat the steps a.) to f.) with the following aliases and options:

Session Timeout Alert + login page has changed
Hello,
We recently updated our SAP CRM 7.0 from EHP1 to EHP3.
Since than we get this "Session Timeout Alert" error and it is very annoying.
I've changed the rdisp/plugin_auto_logout parameter to 7200 s but the session is still ending after about 10min.
On EHP1 we didn't had this problem.
Also it seems that the login page has changed because the username and password is not saved anymore and we need to introduce them every time we log in.
Please help to solve these problems.
Thanks!Hi Sudhir,
My issue is also not solved!
The server restart was only another possible solution.
Very annoying!
Still searching....

ODBC Server lock database and site goes in timeout
My configuration:
Coldfusion Enterprise 9.0.1 32 bit on Windows Server 2008 Web Edition 64 bit, 4Gb Ram, 2 Xeon processors
The sites using Microsoft Access Database, randomlly, go in timeout. This is due to the fact that "ODBC Server" lock the database (in the db folder there are the .ldb file). If I restart the "ODBC Server" service, the database is released and the site works. Do you have any idea how to resolve this issue? The log file is:

> How do you temporarily overcome the problem for now, restart CF ODBC services?
Yes, i have enabled the server monitor with timeout alerts configured, when i recieve a mail, i restart the ODBC server and all works fine for 4-5 days.
>When CF has stopped talking the ACCESS datasource does the ODBCAD32 panel still verify OK?
Yes odbcad32 works fine. In the server the version of microsoft Access Driver is 14.00.4670 (Office 2010), this can be a problem? -
Cannot send email in mail app. using POP account with Wi-Fi
I recently moved to an apartment that only has wireless internet access. Since moving I cannot send email using my POP account, although I can receive email. I was also not able to receive email using my .mac account, but I learned through this forum to change server port to 587 in .mac account and now I can send via .mac account in mail app. But I still cannot sent email with mail app. using my POP account. I changed no settings when I moved, and have never had this problem with cable. Any suggestions?
It all depends on the policy of whoever is the ISP at your new location and the method used by the outgoing (SMTP) server to determine whether you’re a legitimate user.
In an attempt to fight spam, many ISPs restrict the ability to send using an outgoing (SMTP) server not owned by them, usually by blocking port 25 for all traffic outside their own network, which means you cannot send with an SMTP server not owned by them if configured to use that port number. And it may happen the other way around as well, i.e. the outgoing server itself may look at the IP address you’re connecting from and refuse the connection if you’re outside its own network.
Something that often works is changing the outgoing server port to 587 (or whatever alternate port number the outgoing server listens to) instead of 25 and using some form of authentication in Preferences > Accounts > Account Information > Outgoing Mail Server > Server Settings, but two conditions must be satisfied for this change to work: (1) the ISP must not block that port as well AND (2) the outgoing server in question must listen to that port and accept a form of authentication not based on the IP address you’re connecting from.
Independent mail service providers not tied to a particular ISP, such as .Mac and Gmail, do allow authenticated SMTP access on port 587, which is the reason changing the outgoing server port number solves the problem for them if the ISP doesn’t block that port as well.
The following article, for example, describes several ways to address this issue in the case of .Mac, but can be useful for other mail accounts as well (not just .Mac), and applies to all versions of Mac OS X (not just Mac OS X 10.4.2 and earlier as the article states):

ASA 5510 with Cisco 2811 Router Behind it - Not forwarding traffic
Hi all,
Some might know that I have been dealing with an issue where I cannot seem to get forwarded packets to reach their destinations behind an ASA 5510 that has a Cisco 2811 connected directly behind it.
Some examples that work.
I can SSH into the ASA.
I can SSH to the Cisco Routers behind the ASA.
I cannot reach items beind the Cisco Routers.
My Configuration is this (I am sure I included a bunch of info I didn't need to, but I am hoping it'll help!):
I have a static Ip assigned to my Ouside Interface Ethernet 0/1
It has an IP address of 199.195.xxx.xxx
I am trying to learn how to shape network traffic (this is all new to me) via the ASA and the Routers to specific devices.
The Inside Interface on the ASA is 10.10.1.1 255.255.255.252
The Outside Interface on the 2811 is 10.10.1.2 255.255.255.252
I can ping the router from the ASA. I can SSH through the ASA to the router.
BUT I CANNOT ACCESS DEVICES BEHIND THE ROUTER.
So, I wanted to BAM that statement above because I just don't kjnow where the issue is. Is the issue on the router or the ASA, my guess is, the router, but I just don't know.
Here are my configs, helpfully someone can help.
ASA errors on the ASDM when I try and hit resources; specifically a web device behind the ASA and the 2811. It's Ip address 192.168.1.5 it's listening on port 80.Static IP, not assigned via DHCP.

no message-leI ran those commands while I had the nat off on the router and here are the results. note, i didn't make any changes to the ASA as you only said to remove the router RIP which I did and reloaded and no change.
As long as the statements ip nat outside on the Fastethernet 0/0 is off and the ip nat inside is off on the vlan and the overload statement is taken out, I cannot hit the internet.

Hi,
I am trying to lock groups to a specific tunnel group but unfortunitly no matter what I do the group-lock feature doesnt seem to work. Basically here is what I want to do:
1-Users detail is pulled from AD through LDAP
2-AD group is mapped to the appropriate group on the ASA using attribute mapping
3-user should only use the tunnel that he/she is locked to
4-this all should be done without the user needing to select a group the vpn portal
5-we will be using Any connect and VPN portal for communication
All works fine except the group-lock feature. If enabled and set to "group-lock value NET_ADMIN_G" I get the following error on debug webvpn and the user is not allowed in.
webvpn_auth.c:http_webvpn_post_authentication[1503]
WebVPN: user: (test) authenticated.
webvpn_auth.c:http_webvpn_auth_accept[2905]
User came in on group he wasn't supposed to come in on!
when removed no matter what I do the user is mapped to DefaultWEBVPNGroup tunnel group,

HTML + JQuery (CSOM) to add multiple item to a Sharepoint list and get their IDs
Hi everyone.
I try to use HTML + JQuery in CEWP to build some sort of analog of InfoPath's repeating table in order to be able to insert multiple items in a Sharepoint list using CSOM.
The current task is to get the IDs of inserted items (in order to use those IDs later to add attachments to the list items) as soon as they are added to the list. I've tried several ways but couldn't get the IDs of all inserted items. Usually
I get "-1" as an ID for every item except the last one, which returns me the correct ID.
Bellow is the code.

Mail not send my e-mail. Error inside!

Unable to send mail- mail remains in outbox and I receive error message
Ok, I have used Mail for years. All of a sudden I am unable to send mail. The mail goes to the outbox and then I receive the following error message.
This message could not be delivered and will remain in your Outbox until it can be delivered.
The server "smtp.mac.com" refused to allow a connection on port 25.
I can connect to webmail of course and send mail that way.
I receive mail perfectly.
Not sure what to do...??
Thank you for any help with this.Read the following article, which applies to all versions of Mac OS X (not just Mac OS X 10.4.2 and earlier as the article states) and can be useful for other mail accounts as well (not just .Mac):

To do in Mail from emails to my btopenworld (btinternet) address
I get btopenworld (btinternet) emails into Mail but cannot create a "to do" from them - says i have to add the selected account to iCal which i think i've done even though i don't want/need a link with the BT Yahoo calendar - but it still doesn't work. Can anyone offer a simple solution that i can easily do to fix this? Thanks John
What doesn “I can't send” mean? What’s the problem exactly? What error messages do you get, if any?

Mail not working in 10.4.10
I have just discovered that I cannot send mail since upgrading to 10.4.10. I can receive mail, but when sending I get a pop-up dialog box that says "Cannot send message using the server smtp.mac.com". This happens on both of my Macs.
I can receive mail, though.

A week ago my mail stopped being sent out, the smtp address stopped accepting it. But it is accepted from this iBook, so it is my computer that is malfunctioning. It is a new computer, the electrical system died on the other one. The mail has gone out perfectly until last Friday. for a couple of days, i used the web mail to send messages, but that stopped working , too. The iBook seems to be working.
i'm sorry, i don't know all the terms. Although i have now threescore years and ten, i have only had a computer for five years, and had never touched one before. i have mastered what i needed, but until now i haven't had real problems with the mail and therefore am not very knowledgeable. i have this paper with the server, etc. on it. Even though i have several email addresses, i thought that they all came in and went out through vtxnet.ch. which has to be the ISP. Their system is DHCP (ADSL) - French or English? For a couple of days i could not send anything, and had to use the iBook. So if mac.com is a server, is it also an Internet Service Provider?
Anyway, the NEW DEVELOPEMENT! i am no longer receiving mail in my Mail inbox, and have to go to the individual email addresses on the web to fetch it.
The Server timeout alert message explanation did not help the situation, which appears to be getting worse.
This computer is only a few months old, i had to replace the other one when the electrical system failed. Is something wrong with the Macs, or with Tiger?
A computer of this reputation and price should be trouble-free!
i appreciate greatly your effort to help me, you seem to know more than the trouble-shooter i talked to last week from vtx who has no experience with Macs. He did confirm, however, my settings. -
