don't know if this is necessarily the right channel but just to let the guys know that i have done multiple FTP installs over the past few months and for whatever reason there remains two issues.
1) the library variable for perl is not setup properly after initial install... one has to reinstall the perl package to fix the problem.
2) firefox (and others i would assume) don't run because /etc/gtk-2.0/gdk-pixbuf.loaders and /etc/pango/pango.modules are missing after initial install... running gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders and pango-querymodules fixes this.
other than those two qwerks kudos to the greatest distrib ever... tried em all under the sun till i tried arch never looking bad.

These are both relating to a problem with scriptlets during FTP install that re-reared (yes, that's a word now) its ugly head. For some reason busybox puts chroot in /usr/bin instead of /usr/sbin so pacman wasn't finding it.
It's been fixed now, and FTP installs with the 0.7 installer work fine. Freshly tested.

(1) You say you did the symbolic link. I will assume this is set correctly; it's very important that it is.
(2) I don't know what you mean by "Been feeding the [email protected] for several weeks now, 700 emails each day at least." After the initial training period, SpamAssassin doesn't learn from mail it has already processed correctly. At this point, you only need to teach SpamAssassin when it is wrong. [email protected] should only be getting spam that is being passed as clean. Likewise, [email protected] should only be getting legitimate mail that is being flagged as junk. You are redirecting mail to both [email protected] and [email protected] ... right? SpamAssassin needs both.
(3) Next, as I said before, you need to implement those "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server." Once you have that done and issue "postfix reload" you can look at your SMTP log in Server Admin and watch as Postfix blocks one piece of junk mail after another. It's kind of cool.
(4) Add some SARE rules:

1 - Open internet explorer....clear everything in the address bar...
2 - Type in 192.168.1.1 > Enter....It will request for username and password....
3 - For the username : leave it blank password : admin <depends if you have changed it>
4 - You will got your Linksys router page....
5 - Click wireless tab > Down below wirelees tab you can see wireless security > Click on it...
6 - You can see your security mode > Drop down change to WPA Personal....
7 - Enter your password for your wireless network (must me more than 8 characters) in the WPA Shared Key box > Save setting....
8 - Done.....!!! Please write it down to make sure you dont forget k....!!

Thanks.Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.

I would like to file a complaint through this community regarding my encounter with the Apple Hardware Repair Service in HongKong involving both Apple Technical Support in Hong Kong (Tel: 2112 0099) andAuthorized Service Provider - Wah Fung Computer Services Limited.
For background information, I had purchased my Macbook Air 11" (Late2010) at the end of October 2010 in Hong Kong (with valid purchase receiptstill with me). The machine to this date is still under the standard one yearwarranty. I am one of the first to pre-order this machine when it was firstannounced back in late 2010 and waited for the pre-order to arrive for 3 weeks.So you can see how much desire and hope I had on this machine.
Just about 1 and a half week ago, the MBA screen failed. About 50% of thescreen turned bright white, while the rest of the screen is still displaying.It just happened overnight with shutting down the MBA, closing the lid and thescreen failed the next day when being turned on. At this point, I must stress that the condition of my MBA is as follow:
- No scratch, no cracks and no dent on the monitor lid and the rest of theMBA body;
- No scratch, no cracks and no dent on the monitor glass;
- No scratch, no cracks and no dent on the inner surface, i.e. keyboard;
- No visual damage or any sort;
- No dropping or no sign of any impact suffered; (Again no cracks ordented surface);
- No water damage;
Unfortunately, when I bring this failed machine to Wah Fung Computer ServicesLimited (Authorized Service Provider in Hong Kong) for carry out repair worksthat is covered by warranty, Wah Fung had informed me that they considered themachine had suffered "physical damage" and whether the machine isconsidered under warranty is out of their jurisdiction. Hence they advised meto contact "Apple Technical Support Hotline of Hong Kong - Tel: 21120099" to explain to the representative regarding my case for their followup. Despite disappointment on the Authorized Service Provider, who had notproactively follow up on my case and instead "kick" the responsibilityball to the Apple Technical Support Team, I nevertheless had gone through thetrouble to contact them to explain my case. The first time I contacted Apple Technical Support is on July 18, 2011, I explained my case and the representative informed me that she will get back to my by Wednesday (July 20).
On July 21, the same representative called me back, again informing methat the machine had suffered “physical damage", which had not seen or comeinto contact with my MBA. I again need to explain to her that my MBA had notsuffered any scratch, cracks or dent or even any sign of physical damage. Therepresentative then transfer my line to "Customer Care and RelationsRepresentative", which basically throughout our whole conversation had continuouslyto repeat the phase " physical damage" without offering any customercare at all. This Customer Care Representative, who again had not seen or comeinto contact with my MBA, had informed me that the Technical Engineers in UShad made the "final" judgment that my MBA had suffered "physicaldamage". And so how did the US Technical Engineers came to this"final" judgment?? The Customer Care Representative told me that thisjudgment was made from by looking at "PHOTOS" given to them by thestaff in Wah Fung Computer Services Limited (Authorized Service Provider inHong Kong). So again the US Technical Engineers, who had not seen or come intocontact with my MBA, had came up to the "final" judgment that my MBAhad suffered physical damage and then telling me to pay $6300 HK dollars(approx. 808 US dollars) to repair the monitor while a new 11"inch 64GBMBA is costing $7688 HKD ($999 USD) The Customer Care Representative cannotexplain or proof to me the cause of the physical damage, according to her, thisis because all the people and engineers, who most of them had not even physicalseen, examine the MBA had said that it is cause by physical damage.
To be honest, if I had crashed, hit, hammered, or accidental dropped orimpacted, water damaged my MBA in any sort of way or if the warranty had beenexpired, I am willing to accept it as physical damage and pay this money to getmy MBA repaired or consider other option to get a new one. However, without anyphysical or visible damage (or any damage mentioned above) of any kind, andwith the MBA still under warranty, but I am still being accused of implyingphysical damage on the machine without any evidence and need to pay huge sumsof money for its repair, then I am really disappointed with Apple's service andthe so called "warranty". Every hardware product can basically haveno warranty, because every failure as defined by Apple can be"physical damage" that may occur without any impact, scratch, dent orcracks, no matter it is hardrisk or motherboard, whatsoever; even it may havemanufacture defects or latent defects. So what’s good with the warranty andApple care plan??
I hereby summaries my points as follow:
1) No physical damage on the machine, no scratch, no cracks and no dentetc;
2) The people and technicians who refuse to repair my MBA and decline itsvalid warranty for repair service, calling this as the "final judgment", had NOT physical seen orexamined my MBA and so called "final judgment" are made by photos;
3) No proof on the machine had suffered physical damage, why it is not manufacturerdefects??;
4) Authorized Service Provider and Apple Technical Support Hotline bothkicking the ball to each other on the repair service
I sincerely seek the community attention on this matter as it had beenfustrating communicates with the Authorized Service Provider and AppleTechnical Support Hotline in Hong Kong. I hope Apple can look into the situation, examine the machine to realize that it had not suffered any damage and offer me the repair service which I am entitled to under warranty.

Ah, the dangers of trying to save a few bucks. Warranty is only good in the USA for phones purchased in the USA.
Three options.
1. Fly to the US, go to an Apple store, and have the phone swapped.
2. Send the phone to a friend in the US and have them go to the Apple store and have the phone replaced.
3. Buy a new phone in your home country where the warranty is valid. -

Please and thank you. ~ inexperienced credit userHere are some suggestions and comments: 1) You have plenty of credit cards - allow your accounts to stabilize (Don't apply for any new accounts or CLIs at this time), It would be best to let your youngest inquiries reach at least 6 months age before requesting any CLIs - you will qualify for higher CLIs when your accounts show more stability and your scores improve 2) Pay down highly utilizrd cards to below 80% (max out benchmark) ASAP and to below 50% when practical. 3) Bring aggregate (overall) credit card utilization to below 20% if possible. Don't need to worry about getting to 10% utilization at this stage of the game - incremental benefit going from over 50% to under 20% is large. Gain going from under 20% to under 10% is small in comparison. 4) Reduce # cards reporting a non zero balance in a given month from 7 to 3. You will see a benefit from this. Many folks will advise dropping to one card reporting a balance ... but don't worry about that score optimization tactic until much later in the game when you need a new loan. Once you have accomplished the above then go for some targeted CLIs. -
How to get past Error 2203 when re-installing PSE 10? [was: To whom it may concern]
I have recently purchased a new computer and am trying to reload my copy of Photoshop Elements 10.
Having started installation, I reached a certain point and received an error message: 2203 telling me I could not proceed as another process was locked the file options? I have no idea what this means but I could progress no further.
Subsequently I have tried to reload both iTunes and Google Earth and am blocked as it tells me that another programme is trying to install. I assume the Photoshop.
I have tried to uninstall but am told that it is not installed and have tried, again to install but am told that I must first uninstall the previous programme. The perfect circle.
I now want this removed.
I understand that you can download something to remove the blockage to start the installation again, from the start.
Can you send me the details of how I can organise for you to carry this out? I can find no telphone number to call and am finding the situation extremely vexing.

Thank you for your comment, I thought OS X server should do this by default, but it seems it doesn't for some reasons.
Our firm likes to use two domains, let's say aaa.com and bbb.net and we have been using e-mail services on aaa.com through an ISP and like to set our OS X server as a mail server for bbb.net.
So far, we found when aaa.com account send an e-mail to wrong [email protected], then aaa.com user receives an error message as we expected, that means OS X server works good enough for this part.
On the other hand, when bbb.net account send an e-mail to wrong user@wrong domain, then the user can receive error message as expected.
A problem is that when bbb.net user send an e-mail to wrong user@real domain (we tried sending to wrong [email protected]) , only once the user received the error message as expected, but not every time... this client was Eudora 6.0 on OS 9 and other clients both Eudora and Mail, both POP and IMAP account on OS X have never received any error messages...
It seems a problem of getting mails from mailbox, so I tried to find any hints on the logs, but I cannot... Do you have any hints for me? -
With the previous version of Firefox for my mobile phone it had the gingerbread copy and paste system and now I am not able to do so at this point. No, you will never be able to get or use FaceTime on that phone. If you want it then you will have to buy a new phone from a country that does not ban FaceTime and has FaceTime on it - the US or another country, but you will never be able to get or use FacTime on that phone. -
