Tracking Number for Inbound Deliveries

We are trying to get ASNs from our suppliers for their shipments. We would like to capture the carrier tracking number (e.g. the Fedex number) from the supplier. I'm using segment E1EDL47-TRACKN in the DELVRY03.DESADV idoc. I'm not able to get the tracking number in this segment to populate into the inbound delivery.
Does anyone have any experience here? Are there some pre-requisites or config that I'm missing? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you for the help...I think we are getting closer with the FM you mentioned. Let me provide some further information on this....we are using the FM IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1 which states the following for E1EDL47 and 48 (still not too sure which we have to use). Not too sure where to go from here to decipher what is currently being used. Any further direction would be helpful

Go to the Apple Store webpage and in the upper right go to Account and select Track an Order. There you will find the status of your order. You only get a tracking order when the items ships.

Issue in posting GR in background task for inbound deliveries.

when tried to do Good receipt in batch/background processing for inbound deliveries through std. posting module 'IDOC_INPUT_DLVRY', getting sap abend message as 'Risk of posting several mat.documents for one delivery->long text' VL 621 MESSAGE TYPE A.
But there is no duplicate material documents other than one which would get created when posting GR.
I looked at oss notes 117104, it seems to be cannot be implemented and is found to be suitable for 46a,46b wheras, i am looking for ECC 6.0 release.
Suggest pls.

WMTA - Output type for Inbound Deliveries

I am looking at the output control requirement in WMTA for Inbound Deliveries by considering vendor address
Scenario:
Domestic Vendors : Trigger WMTA (ie send immediately) as soon as Inbound Delivery
is created
and
International Vendors: Same Output Type WMTA but (ie send with application own transaction)
ie at the time of putaway they change to send immediately and that creates TO.
Is this scenario possible with one outtype (WMTA) ie create TO immediately for domestic deliveries and not for International deliveries ie trigger wmta by going to change mode in inbound delivery.

Right now they dont have any diffrences between vendors and they manually decid e them.
Is it possible to create two confirmational control keys ie 0001 and 0004 for domestic and international vendors in creating inbound deliveries.
and attached them in conditional table and acess seq.

Field Selection for Inbound Deliveries?

Hi SAP Gurus!
Good day! During Creation and changing of Inbound Deliveries (VL31N or VL32N), how can I change the field for Movement Type into Optional? I can't find any Field Selection for Inbound Deliveries in IMG. How will I do this? Please help.

i believe u need to modify the delivery item category for the inbound delivery as system fetches the movement type from there and if u do not want to make use of the movement type then it means there is no requirement of good reciept
so make use of some delivery item categoy in which putway is not relevant

Automatic TO Creation for Inbound Deliveries

I would like to have TO created automatically for Inbound delivery for PO.
1) I have set the Automatic TO = A in Mvmt Type 101 for my warehouse in transaction OMKZ.
2) I have set Immediate TO Creation and Mail Control = A for Mvmt Type 101, Mvmt Indicator =B, Mvmt Type 101, TR Create =X for my warehouse in transaction OMKX
3) I have assigned Routine #32 to Application E1 in transaction VOFM
4) I have created output conditon WMTA for delivery type EL with Medium =8 and Date/Time =4.
Tranfer order is not created when the delivery is created via transaction VL34. The output determination analysis indicates that WMTA was ignored because requirement 032 not fulfilled. What am I missing?

I believe you are working with Inbound delivery with Item catagory as ELN.
Please check if Relevant for putaway is checked.
Path for your refernce :
SPRO > LE > Shipping > Deliveries > Define Item catagory for deliveries.

Has anyone gotten a tracking number for their iPhone 6?

Hello all, I pre ordered an unlocked 64gb Space Gray iPhone 6 via apple.com at about 6:30 A.M. on 9/12. They still had some in stock, because my delivery date has always been 9/19 by standard shipping. Has anyone gotten a tracking number when ordering via apple? When i log into my account to look at my order, it says Preparing for Shipment. It has done this since saturday night. But on my Apple support profile, it lists my 6 as a device with the serial number; and I have heard that this means it has shipped. So, what is it? And has anyone recieved a shipment notification or tracking number yet when ordering via apple? Thanks in advance!

9/19 delivery means 9/19 delivery. Be patient. UPS probably asked Apple not to release tracking info until Thursday.

How do i get a tracking number for my shipment

i sent my phone in a week ago to get a new one or they were going to repair it but i dont have a tracking number to shipment and my account is saying i dont have a shipment out how do i fix this problem

Apple always sends a pre-paid shipping box. The tracking number is on the label. If you were not dealing with Apple, then you can contact whomever you shipped the phone to.
These are user forums. You are not speaking to Apple here. If you shipped to Apple then you can call them directly or you can contact the shipper for help, but we can't really help you.

Tracking number for the iPhone 6 Plus

My card was charged last night for the iPhone 6 Plus order, and there was a tracking number generated for my order. However, it starts with 1Z047V, and I couldn't track it on Fedex's website (it says the tracking number is invalid). I searched the tracking number on Google, and it appears to be a UPS tracking number, but I couldn't get any information on UPS' website either. Anyone knows about this situation? Thanks!

Same as mine. You should get an email later with the tracking number again and it will list UPS Business 2-day delivery. It won't show up on the UPS site until after midnight or after it has been picked up/scanned in. Hope this helps!

If it's in the HTML form, it's not really hidden. Even hidden
form
fields can be seen and manipulated. Instead generate the
number on the
server when you process the form data and keep it there,
never send it
to the client in an HTML form.

It should not be purely random, but be build using the
current timestamp
to avoid collisions. Or simply incremental, for example with
the current
year at first if you don't like too-short numbers:
2009-1
2009-2
2009-3
2010-1
2010-2
2010-3
There are a hundred ways, just don't make them purely random.
These
numbers should be unique, which randomness can't guarantee.

Verizon don't have tracking number for prepaid UPS Shipping?

I shipped back all equipments using Prepaid UPS shipping. I was afraid to drop in any UPS box so I handed the box to the UPS person who comes to our office builing every day. Now Verizon says they did not receive the box and charge me almost $800 for the equipment. According to Verizon shipping instruction, 'customers are reponsible for equiment until reurned to UPS/USPS', and that was eaxctly what I did. I called customer service and was told I was supposed to write down the tracking number. I don't see anywhere that this was written on the shipping instruction or anywhere saying verizon that prepaid the shipping would not have tracking number. What's going on here?

The tracking number was on the label. This should have been written down even if instructions said to or not. It's just common sense to have some type of proof of delivery.
That number was proof the package was signed for and delivered. Without some type of proof you are going to have a very had time proving that they received it. It's basically your word against there's without it.
All you can do is call them and see if they can look into it for you.

As you may now know, you order has arrived and I hope that you are enjoying your new i7! It looks like for this particular order, the items were being shipped to the store from another store, so you wouldn’t normally see any tracking information. However, for orders shipped to your home, you should receive an email with tracking information.

Does apple supply tracking number for reseller orders?

Hello.
I bought an iMac exactly a week ago (Monday 23rd July) from the reseller my girlfriend works for. I managed to get everything at cost price and bought it under my company so I could write the tax off, all up managed to get $1100 off the retail price. Deal. My girlfriend gave me the order number that was sent to the reseller she works for so I could track it on the order status website, which I did. It's showing that it was shipped on the 25th July, however. There has been no tracking number update, and no carier update either. So I was curious as to whether apple even worries about updating these because it was probably ordered with a whole bunch of stuff, so to track it would mean having to track the whole shipping container etc..? Am I on the right track? Or should I be worried as to why there hasn't been an update?

HI trent, not sure, but I suspect they don't provide any Reseller Tracking, only the Reseller would/could.
