How to transport customisation from development server to Quality Server?

Hello,
When you do the customization then system creates move request number...if not then press the create own request and generate one number...Here type some message and give the "to destination" system number of Quality.
Save this...
Go to SE09 or SE10..select your customization number..press release
Thats all..Inform to basis to move this release request to Quality.

Martin and Mike are correct,
you cannot transport UWL xml file but you can upload your xml file.
Follow the below steps and you can upload the XML file.
Goto Enterprise portal->system administration->system configuration->Universal worklist administration->Click to Administrate Item Types and View Definitions->upload new configuration.

i have created already 200 and 300 clients, now my question is , how to transport this customises request from 200 to 300 client in the same server..

in SCC1, I entered 200 client in source client , i selected request then it showing error that is source client is same as the logon client..how to proceed on..

COPA-KE3I, Tranasport for Planning Level

Dear All,
When i am using Transaction Code KE3I to create a transport Request for transporting Planning Levels, i am being prompted with a Work Bench Request and a Customizing request. Can you please explain the significance of the Work Becnh Request here(since in the T Code SE09 i find all the Planning Levels i intended to transport under Customising Request and the Work Bench Request seems to be empty).Should both these requests be transported ? Can you also guide me in the sequence of releasing them.

It seems i have no other option but to use KE3I in my Project. Now if i am using KE3I, and i have got two Reuests a) Workbench Request( this does not contain any Data when i see using SE09) b) Customizing Request(all the Planning Levels that are intended to be transported are there in this , used SE09 to view here).
These are my Questions
1) Should i Release both the Request. If so what is the sequence?
2) What are the consequences if i dont release Workbench Request(since it contains no objects to be transported) and release only Customizng Request?
3) Why should there be a Workbench Request Created here(KE3I), when i dont get it in KEPM(here only Customizing Request Is Created when i transport Planning Levels)
Could you please shed some light into my queries.

CIN Activation

Hi,
We are on ECC 6.0 and doing a rollout project , but we are not able to see the tax procedures TAXINN/ TAXINJ or the CIN condition Types.
Can anybody suggest what would be the problem?

For copying customizing entries from Client 000 to the target client
In the target client execute the report program RSAVGL00
1. To copy all the condition types use tables T685, T685T & T685A
For the entries to be copied please refer page 146 (Appendix D) & 147
(Appendix E) of user manual, apart from the entries mentioned there,
the following condition types have to be copied :
JEXC, JOCM
2. To copy the tax procedure TAXINJ use tables T683 & T683U & T683S
3. To copy the pricing procedures JFACT, JDEPOT, JEXPORT, JSTKTR
use tables T683 & T683U
4. create tax codes for the various tax rates
5. To copy the accounting keys VS1, VS2, VS3, VS5, NAV use table T007B

How to ensure the event linkage of the Workflow active/enabled?

Dear Experts,
Iam new to the Workflow. We have one Workflow event linkage not activated/Enabled in the production system eventhough it was active in DEV as well as QA. We have transported the Customising request to enable event linkage in Production.
my question is why the event linkage is deactivated/disabled in Production?
is there any way to ensure that it (event linkage) will not be disable in production system? (please answer to this)

Hi
When there is an error in event, then linkage often gets broekn. In SWE2 or SWETYPV settings, Behaviour error upon feedback make it as do not change linkage.
This will sure that when there is an error, only that workflow will be in error mode and event linkage is not broken.

but this purchase groups are not having release strategy into PO,

As you have already included newly created purchase groups into Release Characteristic value, just cross check you have VALUE of "newly created purchase groups " in the release statergy.if not VALUE need to add in to the Release Strategy.
As TR transported from customising client to testing client and you can directly add newly created purchase groups into Release Characteristic but the VALUE of "newly created purchase groups " can not be added directly in testing client for Release Strategy . Now add newly created purchasing groups in CL24N/CL20N for your Release Strategy with Release Group with Release Class.

Customisation during Import failed due to com.bea.wli.sb.transports.ejb.Jws

*Environment:
Weblogic Server: 10.0.1.0
Workshop Studiio: 1.1.0.0
Aqualogic Service Bus: 3.0.0.0.0
Linux: 2.6.18-53.e15 x86_64
ANT: org.apache.ant_1.6.5
JDK: jdk150_11
All my services are JMS based, so all the JMS destinations has already been created and tested using a different utlity written in java which sends a messages to the jms queues and recieve those messges, so i am sure my jms destinations are already there.
*Problem:
1 - I can use alsb console to import the config.jar without any problem, even though the jms destinations are reflecting older addresses i.e. jms:localhost:7001/connfact/queue (my dev)environment, where as my to be environment is different physical host with address like jms://abdhost:7099/connfact/queue.
2 - When i try to apply customisation using a customisation file i generated from my dev environment and changes the jms locations according to the to be host. the customisation operation failed complaining about 'Failed to lookup connection factory <factory name>'.
in the weblogic console the error is
[JAM] Warning: failed to resolve class com.bea.wli.sb.transports.ejb.Jws
<ERROR> <ConfigFwk> <BEA-390109> <Failed to notify session listener com.bea.wli.sb.transports.WLSArtifactDeployerImpl for operation beforeSessionActivate on session weblogic

*Same Problem using ANT on hudson:
I am also running same process using ANT build script on hudson to kick off build which imports alsb configuration, using already created config.jar, into alsb 3.0.0.0 already running on linux. The ANT script runs WLST import.py and export.py script, copied from the weblogic tutorial, to import configuration into alsb 3.0.0.0, but failed with same error.
I am not sure if this error is only related to missing jar which is missed during weblogic startup and in my ant script. If so, can someone tell which jar to use unless its a BUG and already been addressed as this is pretty old version i am using.
PS: dev and tobe environments have same weblogic build so i had already checked that.

SAP Homepage customisation: Sercice not showing after transporting

Hello experts,
we have a very simple portal role in Dev system (role was copied from SAP ESS role) where added transaction iView. In the backend this is configured using PTARQ tcode and configuring a custom subarea and a custom service.
This all works fine in Dev system and it also works fine in Qual system.
However, when we do the same transport (portal role export import + PTARQ normal transport request) into Prod system, then the subarea is NOT shown, instead a record working time iview from the sap standard is shown.
PCD location etc should all be OK, because, IT IS working fine in Dev and Qual system.
Would really appreciate if someone could point us into the right direction of how to resolve this please.

Can you check the back end service configuration . And also check the service which maintained in back end are pointing a PCD location is standard one or custom one.
Because this type of issue happened only wron PCD location has maintained only.

Transportation lane KEY not getting generated in the table
Hi folks,
The issue is like this :
We have a weekly workorders upload program from legacy systems to SAP-APO. The legacy planners send a .CSV file containing material-wise workroders. A customised zee program picks these quantities & writes them in Prod.planned keyfigures in SNP planning book. This process is done for the manufacturing locations only.
Lately workorders for two particular material M1 & M2 had failed to get upload. It gives the error 'NO VALID SOURCE OF SUPPLY COULD BE FOUND' in its Job log. We did some debugging & found that for successful materials the TRPID is getting generated in the table /SAPAPO/V_TRPROD whereas this TRPID is missing for M1 & M2. Why this is happening is our main concern. We tried deleting the PPM & creating this again, assuming that the PPMID is the precursor for generating this TRPID, but this yielded no results.

We deleted the PPM & created it again, which didn't work.
Later on we deleted the product itself from APO & re-CIFed it from R3 & then re-created the PPM.
The PPMID which was missing earlier is now getting created! However no luck with the TRPID.
Why this TRPID is not getting generated in our only concern

Error while transporting Transformation: Syntax error in Start Routine

Hi Everyone,
I'm facing a strange problem during transporting one of the Business Content cubes from Dev. to Quality.
I'd activated the DSO 'Purchase Order Items (0PUR_O01)' and its entire data flow from the 4 datasources 2LIS_02_CGR, 2LIS_02_SCN, 2LIS_02_SGR, and 2LIS_02_ITM from BC. Then I migrated the Transfer/Update rules to transformations and the DataSources to BI7 DataSource. So far so good. The migration was successful and all the objects were activated.
Now when I transport the same to Quality, the import fails with return code 8 and the error message says:
'Start of the after-import method RS_TRFN_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) TRFN (Activation Mode)'
'Start Routine: Syntax error in routine'
I verified that the transformation where the error orrured was the one from InfoSource Z2LIS_02_ITM to DSO 0PUR_O01. I went and checked the start routine and it did indeed have a syntax error:
'In PERFORM or CALL FUNCTION "ROUTINE_9998", the actual parameter SOURCE_PACKAGE" is incompatible with the formal parameter DATA_PACKAGE". '
But when I check in the Dev. system, there is no syntax error for the same routine. Later, I tried to transport only the said transformation by re-activating it in Dev, and again I got the same error.
I have no idea why I'm getting a syntax error in the start routine when there are non in the Dev. system. Also none of the coding is customised, it was only the BC code, migrated to a transformation.
Any suggestions on the steps I could take to transport the transformation to my quality system?

I do indeed have a start routine in my transformation and it was migrated from a 3.x update rule to a BI 7 transformation routine.
The migration was successful and the Start Routine has NO syntax errors in the start routine in the Dev. system. I only encounter the error while transporting it to the Quality system. I cannot modify the code in the Quality system because it is non-changelable and there is no point in trying to change the code in Dev. because there are no errors over there.
I've also made sure that I've transported all the necessary objects required by the transformations to quality. The routine does not perform a lookup, it simply deletes some records from the data package based on the processkey value (which is itself present in the data package).

How to change owner of queries and transport.

Hi Experts,
Earlier the queries are designed by some other user.According to business requirements I have customised the data targets and infosets also accordingly.All queries are designed on infosets only.
If I am coming to query designer to change queries according to requirements, i am not getting change or edit mode for that,even if I saved the query with some other technical name also I am not getting change or edit mode.
While I open the opened the query it is showing the following errors :
1. Bex transport request is not available or not suitable.
2. Choose an existing request.
Up to my understanding to assign the queries to my own BEX transport requests ,how can I change the previous query owner to my user name.
If I assign to own bex transport request then

As explained above .....go to SE09 and selct the request and change the owner...
Also,
If u use SAVE AS option for the existing query,,,then a new query opens..
and assign that query to a NEW Transport Request...
This solves ur problem...
The problem of
1. Bex transport request is not available or not suitable.
2. Choose an existing request.
is because... the query has been attached to a TR which has been already moved to Quality or Prod...
So any changes have to be put in that request which is no longer available..
So use Save AS option and assign it to a new TR.

Error comming while transportation of BW realted request

Hi All,
Currently i am working on SCM 5.0 Server
      I have created all the data flow process i.e Data Source,Info Package,Info Source,Info Area,Info Cube,Transformation & data Transfer Process for DP Planning Area for taking backup of data in Client 221 i.e DC1.
While creating the all above configuration sysytem asked for Request,so we created request which we want to transport in Client 421 i.e quality server QC1.
   Then we have transported all above request to QC1 421.But when i am looking for all the data flow process in QC1.System having only Data Source,Info Source,Info cube & transformation.But there is no Info Pakage & DTP.When i double click the Data Source System shows Error "Source system DC1CLNT221 does not exist".Only Info Cube & info Source are in active mode & other are in Inactive mode.
So we again created Request manually & agian tried to transport but system showing following Error

Hi Sujay,
You are to maintain the conversion of source system name after transport in QC1 421 before transport your request.
Ts RSLGMP or in customising under BIW/Trasport Settings/Change source system name after transport.

'Target Source System'   - QC1CLNT421

I have some problems releasing a customizing transport request. It contains "table contents" of a z table. This z table is marked as "customizing table" (option C).

What type of request are you using. Also let me know the classification of task.
I mean if you a workbench request is giving this error then try using a customising one and if a customising one is giving this error try using workbench transport.

Merging Java Transport request with Abap Transport Request in Charm

Hello All,
We have activated the Change request Management in Solution Manager. Therefore transport request of type workbench and customising can be created when you choose action 'Create Transport Request'.
However we have some SAP systems that have CTS+ integrated which allows to generate transport request number and attach objects in PI Integration Directory - java transports.
Question is - Is there a way we can integrate the java transports generated in these SAP systems with Solution Manager CHarm and transport creation.
Or can we assign the java transports to charm in any way.
We are basically looking for how when users create Charm, the abap and java transports relating to the charm are generated and created only from Solution Manager manager or how these two transports can be linked together in Solution Manager.

I have read the links and followed the instructions and tried to create object
TABLENAME R3TR TABU and tried to save it.
I keep getting a warning message
Note: ZTABLE1 is an application table
Object TABU ZTABLE1 has object function "k", but no key.
(I don't know what key to enter. I tried the Key field name, but it said 'Enter Numeric values only').
If I ignore and save and try to create transport request and then import it on a different server, again only table structure is getting transported and not the contents/data of the table.
I would appreciate if some one can please let me konw what I am doing wrong.
