Troubles with custom events

Background:
8.2 version
I'm trying to throw/receive a custom event but nothing is working for the receive to work. Below is the event information.
I create a process that throws the event. I create another process that has the event as, I have tried both Start point and Receive. It will not trap no matter what I do. How do I debug this?
Cheers,
Event:

Hi Jasmin,
I have a custom event set up with a schema for the message as well as the main event. When I dispatch the event, the listener event I have set up does not receive the message body and I get an adobe.workflow.template.document.TemplateNodeNotFoundException: Template object ER1319221392779 not found.
The event thrower is using a schema for the message body and the event receiver also uses an INPUT variable of type xml set to the same schema.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks,
Jack

    I'm having trouble with custom ringtones.  I have downloaded the free software "makeTones" and have created some ringtones.  I then copied those to Mac and played them in ITunes.  My Itunes library does not have a ringtones tab.  I can not sync the ringtones (or I don't know how)!  Please help.

    Yes, the file extension is M4R.  Does it matter where I save these files on my Macbook?  I then opened them in Itunes and played them.  I did find the Tones folder in Itunes but the Tones or Ringtones tab does not show up when I select Iphone (within Itunes).  When I open the Tones folder in the Library, it is empty.  Thanks in advance for your help.

    Do you even know how to nuke and re-set Photoshop's preferences, colorplak?  Your last post seems to reveal that you don't understand what I'm talking about. Here's a link you can click on:
    Preference file functions, names, locations | Photoshop CC
    To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows) or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"
    Note: If this process doesn't work for you while you're using a wireless (bluetooth) keyboard, attach a wired keyboard and retry.
    Important: If you re-create the preferences by deleting the Adobe Photoshop CC Settings file, make sure that you only delete that file. If you delete the entire settings folder, you also delete any unsaved actions or presets.
    Reinstalling Photoshop does not remove the preferences file. Before reinstalling Photoshop, re-create your preferences.
    Note for Photoshop 14.1 and later: If you use Generator and reset your Preferences, Generator is disabled. Choose Preferences > Plug-ins to turn it back on.
    Video: Julieanne Kost created a video that takes you through two ways of resetting your Photoshop preferences. The manual preference file removal method is between 0:00 - 5:05. The keyboard shortcut method is between 5:05 - 8:18. The video is located here.
    Mac OS
    Important: Apple made the user library folder hidden by default with the release of Mac OS X 10.7. If you require access to files in the hidden library folder to perform Adobe-related troubleshooting, see How to access hidden user library files.

    }

    Hi,
    The logic what you follows is some what in the right direction but need to have some changes.
    What I would say is, first consume the windowClose event. Then open the dialog box and close the parent accordingly.
    So after refactoring your code.
    import javafx.event.ActionEvent;
    import javafx.event.EventHandler;
    import javafx.scene.Group;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.control.Button;
    import javafx.scene.control.Label;
    import javafx.scene.layout.BorderPane;
    import javafx.scene.layout.HBox;
    import javafx.stage.Modality;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.stage.StageStyle;
    public class ModalDialog extends Stage {
         Stage owner;
         Stage stage;
         BorderPane root;
      public ModalDialog( Stage owner, String title){
        root = new BorderPane();
        stage = this;
        this.owner = owner;
        initModality( Modality.APPLICATION_MODAL );
        initOwner( owner );
        initStyle( StageStyle.UTILITY );
        setTitle( title );
        setContents();
      public void setContents(){
        Scene scene = new Scene(root,150,150);
        setScene(scene);
        Group groupInDialog = new Group();
        groupInDialog.getChildren().add( new Label("Really Exit ?") );
        root.setCenter( groupInDialog );
        Button yes = new Button( "Yes" );
        yes.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
              @Override
              public void handle(ActionEvent paramT) {
                   stage.close(); // Closing the pop up.
                   owner.close(); // Closing the parent stage also.
        Button no  = new Button( "No" );
        no.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {
              @Override
              public void handle(ActionEvent paramT) {
                   stage.close(); // Closing the pop up only
        HBox buttonPane = new HBox();
        buttonPane.setSpacing(10);
        buttonPane.getChildren().addAll(yes,no);
        root.setBottom(buttonPane);
        stage.show();
    }And the main class to check this implementation is
    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.event.EventHandler;
    import javafx.scene.Group;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    import javafx.stage.WindowEvent;
    public class WindowEvent06 extends Application {
      public void start(final Stage stage) throws Exception {
        Group root = new Group();
        Scene scene = new Scene(root);
        stage.setScene(scene);
        stage.setTitle("WindowEvent06");
        stage.setOnCloseRequest(new EventHandler<WindowEvent>() {
          public void handle(final WindowEvent e){
             e.consume(); // Consuming the event by default.
             new ModalDialog( stage, "Question");
        stage.show();
      public static void main(String[] args) {
        launch(args);
    }I hope the above code will give you some idea what i mean. :)
    Happy Coding !!

  • Need help with custom event from Main class to an unrelated class.

    Hey guys,
    I'm new to Flash and not great with OOP.  I've made it pretty far with google and lurking, but I've been pulling my hair out on this problem for a day and everything I try throws an error or simply doesn't hit the listener.
    I'm trying to get my Main class to send a custom event to an unrelated class called BigIcon.  The rest of the code works fine, it's just the addEventListener and dispatchEvent that isn't working.
    I've put in the relevant code in below.  Let me know if anything else is needed to troubleshoot.  Thank you!
    Main.as
    package
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        import flash.events.MouseEvent;
        public class Main extends MovieClip
            var iconLayer_mc:MovieClip = new MovieClip();
            public function Main()
                Spin_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,fl_MouseClickHandler);
                addChildAt(iconLayer_mc,0);
                placeIcons();
            function placeIcons():void
                var i:int;
                var j:int;
                for (i = 0; i < 4; i++)
                    for (j = 0; j < 5; j++)
                        //iconString_array has the names of illustrator objects that have been converted to MovieClips and are in the library.
                        var placedIcon_mc:BigIcon = new BigIcon(iconString_array[i][j],i,j);
                        iconLayer_mc.addChild(placedIcon_mc);
            function fl_MouseClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
                dispatchEvent(new Event("twitchupEvent",true));
    BigIcon.as
    package
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        import flash.events.Event;
        import flash.utils.getDefinitionByName;
        public class BigIcon extends MovieClip
            private var iconImage_str:String;
            private var iconRow_int:int;
            private var iconColumn_int:int;
            public function BigIcon(iconImage_arg:String, iconRow_arg:int, iconColumn_arg:int)
                iconImage_str = iconImage_arg;
                iconRow_int = iconRow_arg;
                iconColumn_int = iconColumn_arg;
                this.addEventListener(Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, Setup);
            function Setup(e:Event)
                this.y = iconRow_int;
                this.x = iconColumn_int;
                var ClassReference:Class = getDefinitionByName(iconImage_str) as Class;
                var thisIcon_mc:MovieClip = new ClassReference;

                addEventListener("twitchupEvent", twitchUp);
            function twitchUp(e:Event)

    Ned Murphy wrote:
    You should be getting an error for the Main.as class due to missing a line to import the Event class...
    import flash.events.Event;
    My apologies, I should attempt to compile my example code before I ask for help...
    Alright, this compiles, gives me no errors, shows my 'book' and 'flowers' icons perfectly when ran, and prints 'addEventListener' to the output window as expected.  I get no errors when I press the button, 'dispatchEvent' is output (good), but the 'twitchUp' function is never called and 'EventTriggered' is never output.
    How do I get the 'twitchUp' event to trigger?

  • Having trouble with custom web auth page on 4404

    Hi all
    I am having trouble with a custom web auth page on my controller, we have edited the original file, but when we click login it goes to page cannot be displayed and it doesnt redirect to the page I want, however when I close the window and reopen it has already authenticated me.
    Has anyone got a copy of some working html code I can use ?
    cheers

    There is sample Web Authentication bundle avaiable for download from cisco.com. if you go to the software download page and go to Wireless->Standalone Controllers->4404 you should see a link for Wireless Lan Web Authentication Bundle.
    Its the same bundle whether you have a WiSM, 4404 or 2100

  • Working with custom events

    I am trying to work with the EventDispatcher class to dispatch a custom event to stop a video from playing. The video plays inside a MovieClip with an attached class file called PlayerProfile. I want the video in the PlayerProfile MovieClip to stop playing when the user clicks on another MovieClip called ScrollBox. I'm getting no compile or runtime erros, but the code is not stopping the video. I have seen use of a public static constant to represent the custom event. Is that what I am missing here.
    Any help, as always, is much appreciated.
    Here is the code for the PlayerProfile MovieClip with relevant code in bold:
    package
        import flash.display.MovieClip;
        import gs.TweenLite;
        import flash.events.MouseEvent;
        import flash.events.Event;
        public class PlayerProfile extends MovieClip
            public function PlayerProfile()
                this.ProfileButton_mc.buttonMode = true;
                this.StatisticsButton_mc.buttonMode = true;
                this.HomeButton_mc.buttonMode = true;
                this.VideoButton_mc.buttonMode = true;
                this.ProfileButton_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, profileClickHandler);
                this.StatisticsButton_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, statisticsClickHandler);
                this.HomeButton_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, homeClickHandler);
                this.VideoButton_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, videoClickHandler);
                TweenLite.from(this, .5, {alpha:0});
                //adds the listener to receive the stopVideo custom event
                this.addEventListener("stopVideo", stopVideoHandler);
           //method to stop the video
            private function stopVideoHandler(event:Event):void
                this.Video_mc.stop();
            private function profileClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
                this.Video_mc.stop();
                this.gotoAndStop("Profile");
                TweenLite.from(event.target, .5, {alpha:0});
            private function statisticsClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
                this.Video_mc.stop();
                this.gotoAndStop("Stats");
                TweenLite.from(event.target, .5, {alpha:0});
            private function homeClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
                this.Video_mc.stop();
                event.target.root.gotoAndStop("Home");
            private function videoClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
                this.gotoAndStop("Video");
                TweenLite.from(event.target, .5, {alpha:0});
    Here is the code on my Main Timeline that dispatches the event, again with relevant code in bold:
    stop();
    //adds listeners to call the profile functions
    this.ScrollBox.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, clickHandler);
    //functions to advance the movie to the profiles
    function clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
        gotoAndStop(event.target.name);
    //code to dispatch the custom event
    this.ScrollBox.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, stopVideoHandler);
    function stopVideoHandler(event:Event):void
        dispatchEvent(new Event("stopVideo"));

    you have a scope issue.   your PlayerProfile instance is listening for that custom event.  your PlayerProfile instance must dispatch that event for the listener to detect it.  ie, if pp is your PlayerProfile instance on your main timeline, use:
    pp.dispatchEvent(new Event("stopVideo"));

    You might want to reschedule a timer task instead of trying to start a thread again. Or you could modify your thread class in a way that you

  • Document Distribution with customized event.

    Hi,
    Is anyone familiar with the fenomenon "document distribution" in SAP? The following is the case:
    When a document is changed and saved in SAP the event DRAW.CHANGED is triggered. In SWETYPV you can link this event to the receiver DISTRIBUTION. Here the document distribution is started and also with a function module is checked whether the status of the document is released. This works fine.
    However at a customer, I need to define an event which is only triggered if the status chages from 02 to 03. Did this in SWEC and thew event is triggered at the right moment. I linked this event to the receiver DISTRIBUTION and also the receiver is started, but without any values. Result document isn't distributed.
    I read something about the FM SWE_CD_TEMPLATE_CONTAINER_FB_2, but I don't know if this will help me. I also don't know in which direction I've to modify this FM. Could anybody suggest a solution if you ever encountered the same problem?
    Kind regards,
    Joost van Poppel

    Hi Christoph
    I have generated the profile and assigned to the correct user. In ST01, when I tested the autorization checks, all auth. objects checks are fine except C_DRAW_TCS.
    For C_DRAW_TCS the auth. check is happening for only "03 Display" activity.It is not happening for the activity "59 Distribute". I have maintained the auth. object for both Display and Distribute. as follows
    C_DRAW_TCS
    ACTVT : Display, Distribute
    DOKAR : DRW
    DOKST : RL
    But the auth. check is carried out for only display.
    C_DRAW_TCS RC=0  DOKAR=DRW;DOKST=RL;ACTVT=03; and it displays Authorization check successful. For distribute the auth. check itself is not carried out.
    Help me in sorting out the problem.

    S.Sivakumar

  • Trouble with customer-cmp-ear example for new sun application server 9.0

    recently, i have been playing with sun Java system application server 9.0 and try a couple of examples, but i was in trouble. for example, i try customer-cmp-ear example, and i can create db, but i can not Set up JDBC resources, and i always get the following error:
    CLI146 /path/to/passwordfile does not exist in the file system or read permission denied.
    i take a look at the description of the example, one thing i do not quite understand, at the common instruction, i am required to set javaee.server.passwordfile property, does it mean i have to create a passwordfile? where do I put it ? i hope someone can help me, i will really appreciate it.

    I solved it.
    Change the file"build.properties.sample" to
    "build.properties"
    Maybe it's a bug in J2ee TutorialThe instructions in the About chapter tell you to copy build.properties.sample to build.propertieshttp://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/?wp405013&About.html#wp87965

  • Trouble with custom kernel for EeePC 1000H and bluetooth

    I believe I've got pretty much everything working on my 1000H except for bluetooth. I can't seem to get the hardware working. The module is loaded, and dmesg has references to bluetooth, but blueman does not list the adapter, and running "hcitool scan" from the command line returns "Device is not available: No such device".
    I've enabled every bluetooth-related item I can find in the kernel, so I don't see what I'm missing. I did import the config from the stock kernel, where bluetooth was working fine.

    NOTE: I load eeepc-laptop via rc.local to save time. I don't have any other hardware issues that I can think of.

    Got it. I tried booting with MOD_AUTOLOAD set to yes, and it was working fine. Looks like I needed to specify some more modules in my list.

  • Trouble with custom viewer for Android

    Hello, I have created a Custom Content Viewer for Android using Viewer Builder 1.5.1. After building the Content Viewer I sideloaded, v15 Android.apk and tested it on a Samsung Galaxy tab. It shows the empty gray viewer with no content.
    Is there something that I may have not done correctly with the android app? I want to test my viewer locally. I have uploaded folio with the same adobe Id, which I have used to create my content viewer but not able to find my content on tab.
    I have professional account for DPS, how to get "Sign In" button for my Content viewer and test it before uploading it to Android market? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanx in advance

  • Anybody having trouble with customer support?

    I bought LIGHTROOM 4 from amazon.com, and did not get a readable serial number.  So far, I have been on the chat with the support people 5 times, have provided proof of purchase, and have been told that I would receive the re-issued serial number in 24 - 48 hrs.  Each time, they fail to contact me as promised. Is customer service and support with ADOBE a joke?  I can understand the need to protect the software and follow safeguards, but if they tell you that they will contact you in 24 hrs, then that's what they should

    Thanks for the quick response. The ticket is # 0209510410.  I thought it might be the case that someone would not see it until Monday, but the last agent told me that the person re-issuing the serial number was at his location, so it apparently does not have to go to another office somewhere else. I was ok waiting the first time I was told it would be 24-48 hrs, and then the next guy says 24 hrs, and then after still no email from them the next guy says just wait another 24-48 hrs. Something is broken here.
    Have a good day!

  • Trouble with custom sizes

    I just got an Epson 3800 and am trying to set up a custom size. I have used Aperture for several years and never used this function (used Photoshop instead). The problem is in the printing. I entered my custom size, everything looked right in the thumbnail on the print page but it doesn't print properly. Twice the photo paper came through with nothing on it (even thought the printer said "Printing") and now most recently only a portion of the picture is printed in one corner.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks, John

    It could be an orientation issue - in other words the length vs. width is screwed up. Maybe not - I have gone through some serious pain getting all of my software working correctly with 4880 printers in the past.

  • Pro photo lab having trouble with customer's lightroom images

    I am not a Lightroom user.....I am a pro photo lab using Noritsu equipment and Kodak DP-2 software.........when I import files converted to JPG in Lightroom, they have a pasty,yellowish, flat, lifeless quality.not at all as they appear when displayed in Photoshop.........Is this a profile problem...Can you help me????

    It sounds like the JPGs may have been exported with an AdobeRGB or even a ProPhotoRGB color-profile instead of the sRGB they should have. This is not a problem with Lightroom, just a problem with how someone used Lightroom.
    You should be able to correct this in Photoshop if you have that. Use Edit / Convert to Profile... which should show what they have currently and then select sRGB as the Target profile.
    If the images were exported without a color profile then look and see what Photoshop (which you said they look ok in) is using as its working RGB profile using Edit / Color Settings...
    If the embedded profile is sRGB then it seems outside the realm of Photoshop and Lightroom problems. It could be that these have had the Noritsu profile for a particualr type of paper applied, but I don't know that you can do this with Lightroom.
