Trying to access INDEX shuts down RoboHTML

I see this issue was brought up

This same thing is happening to me this morning, after

Happened to us some time ago, too. I traced the root cause to
a corrupt ".hhk" file (it holds index data; ours is over 50,000
lines long). I found a corruption where a CLOSE statement was
trashed. I manually fixed that and the index was restored.
It should look something like this:

First try a Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least Ten seconds... (But can take Longer)... until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons
If no joy... Try a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Attempt to access files shuts down logic pro

Hi,
I'm trying to open a file with logic Pro That used to open but now when i try to open it, it shuts down logic instantly!
The file is on a firewire drive but there are other files on that drive that give me no problems!
I copied the file to my system drive and simply tried to open the file and it seemed to freeze my mac finder and cleared my desk top for a moment only the file still did not open. Only a finder window showing my drives.
In the file are some audio file and the logic song that they are associated with.
Does anyone know what this could be ??...

Something tries to install at shut down

This just started last night.
Went to shut down
Screen went to black as should the an icon of something being installed appear with two buttons Abort and continue.
Then it gets hung and I have to force quit.
Naturally when I start up this morning It says was shutdown due to a problem do you wish to open applications that were runing at time. Of course I choose no.
I shut down again just to see what happens the item repeats.
Is there a folder where items that automatically install are located That I could remove?

There are other ways to launch something at login, but nothing would have configured that. It is fairly simple for a user to accidentally get something into the Login Items, but to have it launch through some other method would have to purposefully done.
Also, you say it isn't always happening, which would seem to imply some other thing like there is an alias to the installer that is getting run. Normally, things do not auto run when the disk image is mounted, so something is asking the installer to run before the mount takes place.

Access Restriction shuts down access to all computers

I have set up access restriction times for my son (we have wireless access for all systems). I use the MAC address on his systems. Xbox, Kindle Fire and his Laptop.
The MAC address are Correct. Here is the problem:
I set the "allow" and times from 6pm - 11:00 pm (while on xmas vacation) - the system works for a while he is shut off as i would like but....
After a period of time the entire house goes off line. I have to reboot the power on e2000 router and then disable the access restrictions. System then works. Problem is repeatable. What is the deal. I have updated firmware already. Otherwise the system works great. Never dies. Just when i set access restricions for a SPECIFIC time it kills entiore houese. BTW i can deny him outright 24/7 and the system idsables his access fine. Its just when i set specific times. I am very frustrated.

Kindly double check on this article the settings you've set on the router especially for the policies and its respective time restrictions however if it does the same thing, reset the router for an hour then reconfigure it.

I cannot validate the serial number and I tried several things like shut down firewall, change hosts (cannot change it by the way the computer won't let me), etc.

I cannot validate the serial number on premiere elements and photoshop elements. Stil saying that i do not have any connection with the internet. I already tried to contact the adobe chat. They did help me, but what they say did not work.
They said that I had to contact helpdeks, but they would not help me. I had to go to the chat again. The chat does not work.

Just to summarize...
a. In the hosts file....you saw nothing but the default entries
b. You download and installed the Adobe Application Manager and that did not solve the problem
c. You renamed the SLCache and SLStore Folders and that did not help
But, can you disable the antivirus and firewall(s) to see if resolves the issue in anyway?

My Safari is stuck on on a webpage "survey.tubgalley.xyz....." It also has a pop up box with "Congratulations you are today's lucky winner, click OK to continue". I can't close these out, and have tried force quiting Safari and shutting down.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. QuickTime Player Shut Down Automatically!!!!!!?

Recently I purchased the new iMac 27 inch late 2012 with OS X 10.8.4.
Later on, I learned that there is something wrong with QuickTime Player.
Every time when I tried to play a MP4 video, QuickTime Player shut down automatically.
I also cannot create new video, audio, and screen recording.
When I ever tried it, it again shut down by itself.
I saved the error message in TextEdit, and shared it here.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, or by corruption of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

Several Apps seem to just mysteriously shut down after using for a while. Same with Safari, I will be using Safari and it shuts down. Face book too. I've reset and shut down my iPad 3 and restart it, but it stills shuts down. What to do?

Several Apps seem to mysteriously shut down after using them for a while. Face Book shuts down , netflix, Safari, and other Apps. They work fine for a short while, or a long while, and then shut down and it brings me to my regular desktop screen. I've tried restarting by completely shutting down the IPad until I see the apple pic and turned it back on, but the shutdowns of apps continue. Anyone else have this issue? It generally started shortly after downloading and installing IOS 7......

Server Hangs when I tried to Access web Application that deployed in Managed Server

          Hai All!
          Here is my problem ! I started Admin Server and Managed server in a same machine.
          I deployed HttpClusterServlet in web.xml of Managed server. When i started servers
          they start fine and says Clustering started.... But when i tried to Access index.jsp
          that is in Managed Server default web application ..Nothing happens. It neither
          throws exception nor shows the desired page.. Seems to be Browser hang and server
          hang. At this stage i am unable to access Admin console also.(I can access before
          i tried index.jsp of managed server).. It seems to be Hang Allover..
          Pls suggest me how to come out of this hanging...

See my answer to your last post. The short answer is that the HttpClusterServlet is
          likely to be the problem and not the cluster. You can try one of the web server plugins
          or a hardware load balancer as a temporary workaround. You should file a case with
          support too...

Finder can't shut down because copy and trash still running

I was working in pictures, deleted and moved several . . . or tried to. After about 4 hours, the boxes for each show "Preparing to move to . . ." Set to stop an now below rolling bar it says "Stopping . . " How do I get rid of these functions so I can shut down my computer. Tried escaping, quit, manually shutting down - none work. HELP.

Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder, set the Processes drop down menu to All Processes, locate the Finder, select it and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar, then click on the Force Quit button.

Macbook Pro Shuts Down / MacBook Pro Doesn't Start Properly

I just had this problem today. When I tried to wake the macbook pro back from sleep, it didn't wake up, after closing and reopening the screen several times. Thus, I forced quit it by holding the switch button. Now, when I tried to start the macbook pro, the computer automatically shuts down in less than 3 seconds. I have tried resetting the PRAM and all that stuff but they don't seem to work. Has anyone had this issue before?

I am having this exact problem. In my case, I shut down my MBP before going to work. Once I reached work, I tried restarting and it shuts down almost immediately. I've already tried most solutions, but as I am at work, I have not been able to try the cd solution. Any help would be welcome as I do not want to have to reinstall the OS.
