You have to do it on the Apple TV itself while it's plugged into a TV so that you can see its screen.

I’ve tried to update my i-Tunes version after the site suggested I should following my i-Pad Air being plugged into it for the first time. The update seemed successful but the program would not open at all despite switching off the PC and re-starting several times. I then tried wiping the original software from the computer and re-downloading from scratch. Each time I tried the download failed with a message saying “Service “Apple Mobile Device” failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services” At this stage, the only way forward was to “abort” the download. This I have done now four times and the same thing happens. I plugged my Iphone 4S into my computer to update it via Itunes and now it says I have to restore to factory settings and will lose all of my contacts, photos, and applications I have downloaded. All I was really wanted to do was delete photos that uploaded from my home computer and took up all the space on my phone! GRRRR I hate this
If you are using the iphone as designed then you should lose very little or nothing.
You should be syncing contacts with your computer regularly, so all of your contacts should be on your computer and you can sync them back.
You should be importing all pics taken with the iphone to your computer regularly as you would with any digital camera, most especially before any attempt to update.
You should be transferring all purchases made on your iphone to your computer: File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

Does Time Capsule need to be plugged into anything other than power to work
Sorry if this is a real newbie question. I don't own a Time Capsule yet, but am thinking of buying one. What I am wondering is, can I just hide the Time Capsule somewhere in the house (away from burglars) and just have it plugged into a power outlet - i.e. no ethernet/DSL modem - and still have my Mac talk to it? (I already own an Airport Extreme and that's connected to my DSL modem.) I am not sure about this because the online manual talks about plugging it into a DSL modem as well.

One of the configuration options for the Time Capsule is to set it up to "join a wireless network". In this type of configuration, backups occur only over wireless.
As long as the Time Capsule is located where it can receive a good wireless signal, backups will occur correctly. A cabinet may not be a very good location for the Time Capsule for several reasons...one, the Time Capsule needs plenty of free airspace to run without overheating and two, the wireless signal may not be strong enough to be reliable in the cabinet location, especially if this happens to be a metal cabinet.
Backups will occur much faster if you can connect the Time Capsule to the AirPort Extreme using an ethernet cable. Or, if it's not possible to run an ethernet cable to the desired location of the Time Capsule, you might want to take a look a a pair of ethernet powerline adapters to accomplish the same goal by using the AC wiring in your home to transmit the ethernet signal. -
I've lost a load of notes, but dont know why or how to get them back. I cant find the folder that is in my Yahoo account that people have suggested might be the location for the messages. I recently signed into iCloud for the first time. Any idea how to get the notes back? I really dont want to lose them.
It should keep asking for the password, because it's trying to check for purchases... As soon as you login, it will see you have pending downloads and create the downloads section on the left below Purchases under the Store section. Then it will start the music downloads there, as they will be listed one below the other.
You could just try to check your account balance or view your account and that will trigger a password request too. You can just click on that and say that now iTunes keeps asking for the password and ask him to help you with that. Trick would be to interrupt him so that he carries on with another task after, so he doesn't notice the download. Or you carry on with email or browsing which you were "busy" with when iTunes interrupted you for the password (stupid iTunes) -

Also Error 21 can occur with DFU Mode Restore, try Recovery Mode Restore. Restart computer. Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. Hold both home and power buttons until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode. This usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Click Restore button of iTunes. -
I sometimes see small black boxes while scrolling web pages in Firefox (36.0). Here's an example from a portion of a wunderground.com page. The boxes vary in position and size as I scroll up and down in the window.
Anyone else see these? Here's the system info:Sigh. Just updated Firefox and the problem seems to have vanished. I hope it stays that way.

While saving a workflow using SharePoint designer on a SharePoint site, I get the following error:
Server-side activities have been updated. You need to restart SharePoint Designer to use the updated version of activities.
Steps to recreate error:
Login to the WFE server hosting IIS and workflow manager, open SharePoint Designer 2013 and login to a SharePoint site.
Access the list using SharePoint Designer 2013, in the workflow section, click new workflow.
In the new workflow dialog, enter workflow details, click save (see screenshot below).
Error message is displayed as below:
After restarting SharePoint Designer, the saved workflow is not seen in the site/workflows or list/workflow section.
Workaround
When the above steps are repeated while accessing the site via SPD from any other box besides the WFE/Workflow manager host server, the error is not encountered and its possible to save/publish workflows.
Notes
Workflow Manager 1.0 is installed.
The site has been registered with Workflow manager using Register-SPWorkflowService
cmdlet.
