Unable to browse internet with wag150n

I recently installed a wag-150n wilress-N ADSL2+ Gateway. I replaces a working 2WIRE router with this one. I ran the setup CD, and it said it completed successfully. I am unable to browse the internet wirless;y or with a wired connection.
If I try and ping a website, say www.google.com,  it replies successfully but I cant browse the internet.
Both wired and wirless connections are getting an IP address. I had changed the IP ad DHCP ranges to 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.0 , so that the router is at 192.160.0.1. The clients are starting at 192.168.1.100.
Help!!!!

If you are able to ping the websites address it means your Gateway is configured for Internet Access...Try to adjust the Browser settings...
Open an IE, click Tools >> Internet Options, then delete all files, cookies, history, forms...Goto "Connections", make sure Never Dial a Connection is checked, click on LAN Settings and make sure all the options are unchecked...Once you are done click on O.k...Close the IE and re-open it...See if you have Internet Access...
Also if you have changed the router's address to 192.168.0.1, your clients should start at 192.168.0.100...

I can see other computers on my network, but when I try to access the Internet, I get errors indicating that the browser cannot find the URLs I input (including sun.com).     First, try 'netstat -nr' and check that you really have the correct default route. Then try 'dig www.sun.com' and check that the correct DNS server is being contacted.

  • Connected with wifi but unable to browse internet on my iphone 4

    my iphone 4 is connected with wifi anf it shows proper connectivity but i am unable to browse internet on my device ,i have tried many things suggested by apple support forum and nothing has worked for me so for. i have reset settings for network many times. also this wifi is working fine on my mac and other IOS devices.

    I would verify each smtp setting in the settings email account with the settings
    provides by the email provider to verify that those still matched

    I am unable to browse internet on my iphone 4 and ipad3 simultaneously over wifi.
    Both iphone and ipad show connected over wifi but only my ipad can connect to internet. Along with ipad I have no problem in connecting laptop and my other android phone over wifi and browse but iphone won't.
    I am using talktalk broadband. Please help

    Does your phone receive a valid ip address from your router?
    Does it work fine when connected to other wifi networks?  If so, then I'd say your router is the culprit.

    During the minutes needed  looking for help, I decided to put the magnetic cover on the screen again, and I connected the iPad to the charger. Whe I did uncover the iPad now for a try with your tip (hold sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds), it came to life again.

    Dear All,
    I have solved the issue. I have done the following in-order to browse internet on domain user computers. Here are the steps
    1. I have disabled my internal DHCP server in the domain.
    2. Then I have configured the ASA DHCP server in the default IP address scheme i.e. 192.168.1.100-200
    3. I have Connected my ASA to a switch first then from there I connected a cable to my Domain's Server WAN interface. The LAN (192.168.1.2)interface of the Domain server is also plugged into the same switch. 
    4. I am using my Domain Server's DNS for name resolution and forward queries which are not served by my domain to open dns server.
    It works perfectly so far but before applying or setting up the entire netowrk i want your help to look into the configuration file for corrections if i am making any mistakes. Thanks again for your help and here is the output of show confing.

  • After Update Unable To Browse Internet On WiFi

    Since the update to my Charge I am unable to browse the internet through a WiFi connection. All I get is "Web Page Unavailable". I know that the connection is working correctly as I use it on other computers. Not to mention when I am connected to the WiFi connection, the apps i have installed on my Charge function correctly such as the App Store and I am able to download and update apps through Wifi. The only issue is when I am trying to use the browser to connect to web sites. I have tried the stock browser as well as Dolphin with no luck. Help!

    I too was unable to browse the internet on WiFi.  I tried many of the solutions I found on different discussion threads.  I read your solution and decided to give it a try.  Unbelievable, I did have text in the proxy setting.  Checking on my PC I determined I did not require a proxy number.  So, I erased the proxy number and I am now able to access the internet through WiFi.

    After upgrading to IOS 6 (6.0.1), I have this strange issue.
    My iPhone suddenly after every alternative day stops browsing Internet. It connects to wireless succesfully but fails to browse Internet.
    I need to reset my network setting and reconnect to the network. But this is annoying any suggestions

    I installed Arora this night, I really like it now. But I deleted my ~/.config/arora*/, and since this, I can't browse the Internet, but with Firefox it works. I want to use Arora instead of Firefox, does anyone know what I can do ?
    I already remove this, re-installed (-Rd, -Rs, -S) but nothing changes..

    I've got it !
    It's just when AdBlock is activated, I can't go to any websites, even the default page of Arora. I don't understand why, because I use the same filters on my firefox, and it works.

  • Unable to browse Internet for any length of time

    I am having constant screen blackouts in Chrome where I am redirected back to my home screen (desktop).
    Facebook seems to work fine, this happens when I click on a link that opens in Chrome.
    Could it be a Chrome problem or a lack of phone coverage in my house?
    No big issue with email or Youtube. Rarely, the screen will black out and redirect to the home screen (desktop).
    I have cleared the data and cleared the cache in Chrome many times but the problem continues.
    I have tried different rooms and the browser always crashes after about 30 seconds.

        Hi Lorenzo1950- Let's keep your Chrome bright and working! It appears from your post that you are using the Mobile Hotspot on your Razr Maxx, am I correct? If your other data services are working well it would indicate that the issue is with your Chrome browser. Have you confirmed you are running the latest version of the Chrome browser?

    Dear All.....Pls help if you can.....I have wi-fi in my campus which is protected by a firewall and proxy server..we have to open [moderator note: address removed] first and then fill our username and password there...then we have to keep that window open and start browsing in other IE window..my problem is ..i can connect to the wi-fi hotspot...but when i open the above address.......no username or password fields are visible......so i can't fill any information.....although i have downloaded opera.....but problem with it is also the same.......but on my laptop which is also wi-fi enabled.....no such problem is there......any suggestions help will be highly appreciated.....

    They should dump their convoluted system and make do with WPA-based authentication. After all, if someone has the ESSID and pre-shared key to access the network, why demand a password as well?
    As for the proxy, it should control access to the outside by IP address, only allowing IP addresses from within the local network to punch out.
    While the "belt and braces" approach to system security and integrity is commendable, it also has to bear in mind that the failing in the less-protected system (a student giving out the WLAN details) is the very same thing that will be the failing of the "overkill" system too. After all, if a student can give out WLAN details, they can also give out a username/password combo for the proxy. It makes no sense to make people jump through so many hoops for no real added security.

  • Unable to browse Internet intermittently

    I have a MacBook air 2011 and updated to latest lion last week. Since then I am having trouble browsing using safari and Firefox.
    The pages often won't load at all but occasionally work fine.
    I have logged on as guest user and safari works fine but I can't figure out what I need to change.
    I have reset safari and cleared cache and repaired permissions etc.
    Can anyone suggest a next step?

    Did it ever work?  What did airtel tell you?  Did they make sure that you have a blackberry data plan?  Ask them to resend your service books too.

    I am using OCR in Acrobat Pro. When OCR deskews scanned pages a black background appears at the edges of the aligned pages. Is it possible to set this background color to white? I am using Acrobat 7. Has this feature been changed in newer versions?
