Unable to do BPC for Office Installation via BPC Client software

Hi,
I am trying to install "BPC for Office Installation" via the client software center. I get an error "You do not have authority to install the BPC for Office.".
I am on Windows 7 Home premium. My username is the only name on the computer and has admin rights.
I did browse through a few threads in this forum and as per the suggestions, I installed .NET 1.1 and service pack for it.
I also modified the "hosts" file in system32\drivers\etc to include the lines I need.
IT STILL DOESNT WORK !
PLEASE HELP!
Regards,
Tagz

Thanks for your response Patrick!
I enable the Intranet option as per the note and added the website to my zone in the browser security option.
I get case 2 error as per the note. I tried going to the next step. Now it says "Not enough memory. A minimum of 64 MB of memory is required.". My computer though has 4GB memory.
Please advice!
Thanks,
Tagz

  • Install BPC for Office memory error

Hi, I have a Windows 7 workstation with 8Gb of RAM.  When I try to install BPC for Office, I get the following error:  'Not enough memory.  A minimum of 64 MB of memory is require."  How do I get around it?

    Hi
As per Sorinu2019s response, until 7.5 there is no official support for Windows 7 or 64-bit operating system.
However, with that said, if you still wish to progress at your own risk, then you can do so.
You will first need to get Microsoft .Net 1.1 (32-Bit) installed and configured.
Then you can install BPC client. However, you cannot install the client from the OSOFT WebPage, else you will receive 'Not enough memoryu2019 error.
You will need to copy the two executables for the client installation (EverestAdmin and EverestClient) to the client PC and install by running these executables. You must be logged onto the client PC as an account with full local Administrator privileges, and you must also be logged in as an account with full local Administrator privileges for first logon to BPC Admin and BPC Office client.
Be aware that certain functionality may not work as expected, for example PDF Publishing.

  • Issue whith action pane when using BPC for excel in Spanish - BPC 7.5 NW

    Hi experts,
We just migrated from BPC NW 7.0 to BPC NW 7.5 and we are having a situation with our BPC for excel client now that if we open it with an english instalation everything is ok but if one client with a spanish instalation opens BPC for Excel, the action pane is empty. On 7.0 version everythng worked ok on spanish. Any idea of how to solve it?
    Thanks in advance.

Please note that the best practice is to use one language. However, if a number of languages must be used the following solutions may be applied:
If you want end-users to see the very same descriptions in various languages, you may copy the descriptions from one language over to another in BPC Admin Client.
If you want them to see native descriptions in the language the end-user is logged on under, you may log on to BPC Admin Client in the language(spanish) the descriptions are missing for and enter them. Do not forget to process the dimension. Refresh dimension members on client side and process all the dimensions. Now, English descriptions are seen under English and Spanish  under Spanish anit is the way it works because SAP has description against EN language only and not spanish
See the notes 1552856 and 1613170 which would be helpful. Thanks.

  • Windows 8 installation of VPN Client Software (x86 64-bit version) results in "Icon09DB8A851.exe" on startup task

I've just installed a VPN Client Software for x86 64-bit version of Vista and Windows 7 (vpnclient-winx64-msi-5.0.07.0440-k9.exe) to Windows 8.  It's working without problem except that it seems to add an entry "c:\Windows\Installer\{5FDC06BF-3D3D-4367-8FFB-4FAFCB61972D}\Icon09DB8A851.exe" onto startup task. I suspect the installer program (InstallShield) is not working properly.  I'd like to know if anyone has same issue or my computer got infected in malware.

Hi I have installed and config to my client a ASA 5515 and everything is fine but. When I config L2TP/IPSEC VPN for the remote work bang I have a problem. When I config L2TP/IPSEC VPN to Windows 7 with native client on Windows everything is fine, but in Windows 8.1 is bad on 1 hour after VPN connection Windows 8.1 tries to renegotiate the connection and something happens and the connection is disconnected.

  • Running a Repair for Office 2010 via SCCM 2012

    Hello,
We have come into a bit of an issue. We're attempting to deploy & install Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Office 2010, however it fails, after some research it looks like it works if we run a repair on Microsoft Office.
Is there anyway we can do this via SCCM? because we need to run a repair on 5000 machines.
    Any ideas?
    Jay

Take a look at the following.
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/75d50085-28b4-400b-97d4-77203c173352/repairremove-office-2010-silently
Only caveat is it states 'Make sure that no Office applications are running when you try to repair/remove Office 2010.'  Not sure how you would control that in the real world.
    Cheers

  • Some Questions BPC for MS -. Tables BPC

    Hello expoerts.
Would you mind mentioned about the name of the BPCLog (BPC 7.5) table in SQL Server 2008.
And How can i find to view its content, please?

This should be your script for BPCLog table
    USE [AppServer]
    GO
    /****** Object:  Table [dbo].[BPCLog]    Script Date: 08/04/2011 21:10:04 ******/
    IF  EXISTS (SELECT * FROM sys.objects WHERE object_id = OBJECT_ID(N'[dbo].[BPCLog]') AND type in (N'U'))
    DROP TABLE [dbo].[BPCLog]
    GO
    USE [AppServer]
    GO
    /****** Object:  Table [dbo].[BPCLog]    Script Date: 08/04/2011 21:10:04 ******/
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    GO
    SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON
    GO
    SET ANSI_PADDING ON
    GO
    CREATE TABLE [dbo].[BPCLog](
         [ClientHost] [varchar](255) NULL,
         [username] [varchar](255) NULL,
         [LogTime] [datetime] NULL,
         [service] [varchar](255) NULL,
         [machine] [varchar](255) NULL,
         [serverip] [varchar](50) NULL,
         [processingtime] [int] NULL,
         [bytesrecvd] [int] NULL,
         [bytessent] [int] NULL,
         [servicestatus] [int] NULL,
         [win32status] [int] NULL,
         [operation] [varchar](255) NULL,
         [target] [varchar](255) NULL,
         [parameters] [varchar](255) NULL
    ) ON [PRIMARY]
    GO
    SET ANSI_PADDING OFF
    GO
You can also see the settings configuration setup in this Microsoft URL:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/245243
After creating the above table, you must use the appcmd to change the IIS settings to configure for ODBC logging.
These appcmd commands are clear enough in the installation guide. Please verify with the installation guide for reference.
Even if you re-install the BPC system, you have to do this anyway. So no need to reinstall your BPC system.
    Hope this helps.

  • Updates for Remote Desktop via App Store Software Update

Hello, and Happy Thanksgiving. On a computer running Mavericks, I installed Apple Remote Desktop 3.5 from the disk (not from the App Store.) On it's first startup, I was greeted with the message "The Remote Desktop Administrator software must be upgraded on this computer." I downloaded and installed the 3.7 update manually from http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1565. However, I view this as a "Band-Aid", and not a fix. How would I recieve future updates for Remote Desktop from Software Update within the Mac App Store?

Hi ya.. just to let everyone know Apple UK Senior Tech support are aware of this error message that we are all getting as from today and are on the case....

  • SAP BPC 5.1 "Client Software center" icons missing

    Hi,
I had installed newly SAP BPC 5.1 (Single server installation) and installed Administration client & Office client on the server. It was successfully installed and all functionality was working fine.
Now I want to access this server from client machine (desktops). The desktops has Microsoft Office 2007 installed and trying to access SAP BPC using http://<servername>/osoft
I am able to get the home page, but when I click on icon "Client Software Center", I am not getting any icons for installing Client software (Ex: BPC for Office Installation, BPC client Diagnostics or BPC for Administration Installation)
Appreciate if someone can help me on this.
    Cheers,
    RAJU

That address should get you to the default landing page where you can access the software center.  Since this is a single server environment you should obvioulsy be addressing the web server.  I assume when you installed the client components on the server you were logged in as the service account that you installed the software with.  If you are connecting from your desktop using authentication, then you would be connecting with the ID and password that you login to your PC with.
Have you gone through the BPC Administration security console and added your network ID to the application?  If not, then the system will know you are not a vaild system user and you would not be able to install the software.
If you feel you have done this, then run the connection wizard and choose the option to connect with an alternate user ID and use the service account and verify you can access the software center.  If you can with the service account but not with your ID then it is a application security issue with how your network account is setup in the system.
The other thing to check, when you say you cannot get the software center icon, are you getting the landing page and just not seeing it or are you getting a page error accessing the page?  If you are getting a page error and you did not use the default port to connect with then you would need to pass the port number through when you are addressing the server (e.g. http://servername/osoft:8080)

Dady06 which Adobe software title exactly are you attempting to install?  Also what is the exact error message?  Would it be possible for you to post a screen shot of the error?  Finally what operating system are you using?
