Unable to edit a Request Offering once created

Hello,
I just created a request offering and noticed a typo in the title. When I went to edit the offering to make the correction, the properties screen was completely blank. I could see the Tabs on the left hand side of the window but no fields were listed. Just
wondering if anyone has run into this before and if so what steps did you take to resolve it?

You might aswell upgrade all the way to UR4 now you are at it (UR4 contains all previous URs).

PDF is the file format/technology described and defined by/in the ISO Standard ISO 32000.
As PDF is not a software application there is, of course, no application related "tools" (e.g., Typewriter, etc.).
Again, it comes down to what exactly you have subsribed to.
Upon subscription to any of Adobe's subscription services you do get an email from Adobe that declaritively states what you've subscribed to.

Unable to edit WBS element once Project is released

Hi,
I am unable to edit the WBS element once Project has been released. Is this SAP standard behaviour? Is yes, is there a way we can make this editable and is it advisable?

The point is I am able to edit the WBS element before I have released the Project. But, once I have released the project the WBS element is blocked for changes.
Infact the WBS element is editable until the higher level WBS element is released. But finally when I release the Project and system status changes to REL, the WBS element is blocked for changes i.e., it is not editable.I am just trying to understand if this is standard behaviour of SAP that WBS element becomes ineditable only overall Project is released. If the WBS element has to be changed after release, is there a way out?

Request offering- how can I change the template

I am trying to edit a request offering. I created a new template with different activates and wanted to apply that template to existing request offering. However, I can edit every field except
change the template which is grey out. It is a same behavior for all my service offering. I tried to delete a template and got the error down below. I do not remember I did anything unusual(if I know what I am doing with this product). When I was creating
a template I chose the option to create a new MP , use that template for a new service offering and do not remember I got any error when I published it.

You cant delete the template because it is linked/related to at least one request offering. Service offerings aren't linked with a template.
It's not possible to change the template of an existing request offering. You have two options:
Create a new template and a new request offering
Copy the existing request offering. The wizard will offer to create a new copy of the existing template.

Unable to edit Function Library

Hi all,
I am unable to edit a function library I created. I always get a NullPointerException:
There is no syntax error in the included functions. The Library is activated, but it is also not found by the runtime. When I send a test message I get an error that the used functions were not found.
I have already tried to create another function library. I am able to create and activate it, but get the same error when I try to edit it.
I am working on a Java single-stack.
Any suggestions?

I already tried this.
But the main problem ist: When I am in ESR in the function library and klick the Edit-Button, I get the error message shown above. So I am not able to edit any function library.
What could be the problem? I already tried:
- To remove all special characters from the name and description of the function library
- To create a new namespace with a new function library

Unable to edit the form in Personal Change Request

Hi,
One of the manager is trying to edit the employees information. When he navigates to edit form of personal change request, under My Crew tab of Manager Self Service in portal, unable to edit the information but he is able to add notes. in the form.
In detail, the manager is trying to assign new manager to an employee under him(moving an employee to differen team headed by different manager so trying to replace his name in the employee's informaton). The manage is unable to change the information or unable to edit any information in the form "request for change in position/transfer"
Could someone help me on this.

Hi,
The issue is resolved. This is because of Acrobat JavaScript option disabled in display preferences of the form.
Once this checkbox is enabled its working fine.

Change "Create a request" button in SMPortal (SSP) to point to custom Request Offering (not Generic Incident Request)

Hello MSSCSM community,
is it possible to change the request offering mapping of the "Create a request" button (Image1)? By default it points to "Generic Incident Request" request offering. But this is related to a sealed MP and cannot be edited. So i cannot
change name, image, user prompts etc. I created a new custom request offering "Incident request" and disabled "Generic Incident Request". But now the "Create a request" button throws an error (Image2) because Generic
Incident Request is not available anymore. How to map the button to a custom request offering?

Thanks a lot for your replies. The blog entry is very interesting for having a diffrent "Request offering" mapped to the button instead of standard "Genereic Incident Request (EN)". But i now figured out a very easy solution for me.. i unpublished and disabled "Genereic
Incident Request (EN)" and then system takes the sealed "Genereic Incident Request" (without (EN)) that cannot be edited. I simply reenabled and published "Genereic Incident Request (EN)" and now i can modify this completely and its mapped to the button
by default. I think system always uses sealed "Genereic Incident Request" as fallback. Only constraint is that i cannot change the MP and Template in Request Offering "Genereic Incident Request (EN)". But template can be edited also.. so its fine for
me. Sorry for this kind of questions, i am new to the MSSCSM topic.
Maybe this will get more flexible in future releases of scsm.

Editing Site Settings Gives "Unable to process your request"

Hi,
I get "unable to process your request" when trying to edit the FIM portal site settings. I'm using my domain admin account I installed FIM under, which is also a SharePoint administrator. I'm trying to edit some basic UI details.
I've installed FIM 2010 R2 SP1 on SharePoint Foundation 2010 with SQL 2008 R2. I tried logging into the FIM portal with the fim service account, but this still gives the same error when editing site settings. I'm using separate servers for the fim portal,
fim service DB and fim sync server (all have their firewalls turned off).
Advice on how to resolve this is much appreciated.

Managed to get this working - I missed out the alternate access mappings on SharePoint 80. Simply adding the internal and internet URLs worked :-)

Unable to map MP Enumeration List in Request Offering

Hello Folks,
I am creating a request offering that allows a user to request for a new e-mail account, then to select which site/branch name is belong to. I created a
new Management Pack sealed list that has different site names.
I created a Class Service Request Template with the following Activities (RA: Review Activity for approval, MA: Manual
Activity “create a new e-mail address”, MA: Manual Activity “Send E-mail Password info to the user”).
I created the request offering, selected above template, then I configured a user prompt as the following:
1-
First and Last name of the New User : Required – Text
2-
Please provide the Branch Name of the New User: Required – MP Enumeration List
3-
Please provide the Position and Department of the New User: Required – Text
4-
Please provide a preferred E-mail Account of the New User: Required – Text
5-
Comment: Optional - Text
Under Configure prompts, I click the configure button for the point number 2 and choose the custom list that I created
as the prompt output. I am then required to map prompts to properties, but when I select the object to map it "prompt output" drop down, the list is not available for me to choose as a mapped prompt! I can only see the String prompts
(1, 3, 4 and 5). I cannot publish the Request Offering because point number 2 is not mapped.
What did I miss? Why can't I select the list in order to map it?
Any help in the right direction is greatly appreciated!

Continuing the same scenario described above, I came across another issue with the 3 Incidents Templates that I have created.
As noted, I created a 3 Incident Templates and I predefined the following fields in advance:
- Classification Category: ...
- Source: ...
- Support Group: ...
- Assigned To: Mr. X
Then I used those templates to create the Request Offering and publish them so the users can submit incidents via the portal.
The issue is that the Priority value is not being calculated automatically, it remains empty :(
If I opened the same
incident template and I filled the Impact/Urgency manually, the priority is still empty.
The priority is being calculated only if I opened the created Incident above from Work Items console and click OK.
Why the incidents priority is not being calculated from the Template?

Creating Request Offering error on template selection.

Hi,
We have created our own form with the authoring tool that uses a base class we created that is an extension of the Service Manager Work Item Service Request class. We have added properties to the class and fields to the form and have mapped those
fields to properties, etc.
We have created a template from this management pack and then tried to create a request offering and get a dialog box that only says PropertyName as seen in the screen shot. I have reviewed my property names and dont find anything
wrong.
How can I figure out what is causing this.

I am unable to edit an image in Photoshop.

I just installed Lightroom 5.3, and I have Photoshop CS5.1 installed. The problem is that I am unable to edit an image in Photoshop. When I click Photo>Edit In, the option for Photoshop is not active (i.e., it's not black), so I can't click on it. Why are the options for Photoshop and all of the other Photoshop related options, such as Merge to Panorama, etc., not active? In Preferences I have the following settings: File Format = TIFF; Color Space = ProPhotoRGB; Bit Depth = 16 bits; Resolution = 240; Compression = None. I am using Windows 7.

Actually the version I am using is CS2 not CS3.
Yesterday I tried numerous times, and ways, to edit an image and each time
it refused to allow me to save it.
The software program just shut down. This evening when I decided to give it
another try it worked perfect.
Guess the program just took the day off.

I have a live login and MS ID 4 my SkyDrive account but I only use my MS touch with 8.1, SkyDrive and office 365 for mobility.
And I still like to backup to my own server!!!
What would be good is if I can put all the software licenses and product keys of the software and keep a record of my mac addresses for hardware and even static IP's in a file or a secure location within the MS online store.
That's where MS wants me to get my computing needs from in future and I will always be able to retrieve it in future but what about the $$$$$ I have spent on software, hardware and applications prior to now???
I know u guys love 2 collect data 4 marketing analysis,
4 example I have an old PC that is still running a server from last century - if you knew about it a simple script would allow you to offer upgrades or at least relevant MS products - UNLIKE the rubbish adds I just turn off or tune out
now...
Why cant I add products previous online email purchases into the 1 MS live ID account where I can keep it together? If you make that available I don't have to have separate steam accounts, EA game accounts, ASUS and adobe accounts etc

I looked at dozens of support pages and forum blogs and tried for hours to get a copy to download - including incognito and other logins but because my default PC name is also my MS Windows live ID the same error was repeated.
I keep away from the non MS sites for these things and with good reason - there were heaps of similar users with the same issue or very close to it that had downloaded from a supposed MS copy from eValue or digital river etc and the next
thing was total corruption of the OS.
EVENTUALLY I found a LIVE MS chat on a support site in the US and she gave me a link to a slightly older version which will need updating and some reg edit changes but so far, so good.
The point is - what a crock !
I should be able to just keep all my software, drivers, updates, service packs, and versions that I have upgraded in the MS store.
If Microsoft aren't going to support XP or Office 2003 and eventually 2007, vista & Windows7 not far behind??? then that's still no excuse for them to put these restrictions and limits when I OWN my copy of the software!!

Cannot edit Service Requests or Service Offerings in SM Console

I have been working on a Service Manager deployment for the past few weeks and yesterday I lost the ability to edit a Service Request or Service Offering when going to the Library, highlighting the object and the clicking Properties. I am using the
console on the server itself. I have no remote consoles in the environment. I see the properties display for a moment, then disappear. The navbar on the left is there, but the main window is blank. Both OK and Cancel buttons are
grayed-out. I can add a request to an offering or publish a draft by using the options from the Tasks pane. I can edit properties of other objects. Before yesterday, I could edit request and offering objects. I am not
aware of any changes made to this system other than attempting to install the Exchange Connector v3 and it will not install. (I've posted a separate question to the Connectors forum.) There are no corresponding events in the event logs when I attempt
to open the properties. This behavior applies to the canned offerings and requests as well as offerings and requests I have created.
All suggestions welcome.

A little more information about the property form behavior. When the property form window first appears, the form content is visible with what looks like a progress bar. This disappears in less than a second. All that is visible is
the left navbar (General, User Prompts, Map Prompts, etc), the OK and Cancel buttons and a lot of whitespace where the form usually appears. After a variable number of seconds, anywhere from 3 to 10, the OK and Cancel buttons are enabled. I uninstalled
Service Manager and reinstalled re-using the Service Manager database. The property form behavior remains the same. I hope someone has fixed this before.

Unable to edit any old entity in Data Modeler

Hi,
I have a strange problem with Data Modeler 2.0.0.584 on Win XP. If you came across similar issue, please let me know how you solved it.
I have a logical model created several weeks ago. I can open the model without any errors, but I am unable to edit any object - when I double click on entity or relationship, the text in the property window is grayed out and I cannot change anything. I cannot change entity properties, nor add/change attributes.
The strange thing is that I can create a new entity or relationship, but once the object is created I cannot edit it.
I have checked that all files in the model folder are set as read/write but it did not solve the problem. At this moment I have no idea what else to check.

- save as into another directory
- close Data Modeler
- start Data Modeler
- open the model from the new location
- and voila! I can edit all the entities!

SCSM 2012 request offering templates for change requests

Good morning, i use service manager 2012 and want to publish a change request offering for web portal users to directly request for changes. But the template i have created is not available in the 'select template' options. The only available
ones are for service request and Incident

So, I just ran into this problem, and I don't know if it's officially supported (probably not), but if you create a Request offering, and just pick whatever template, you can then export that management pack, and then change the template ID to be your Change
Request template.
<RequestOffering ID="Offering.GUID" InstanceName="Your Service Offering Title" Title="Your Service Offering Title" BriefDescription="Description of Service offering" Status="System.Offering.StatusEnum.Draft" TargetTemplate="Template.GUID" HideGotoRequestButton="false">
For example above "TargetTemplate="Template.GUID" You would change from the ID of whatever template you picked, to the ID of your change request template. Once you save this management pack, you can then re-import it, and then configure the rest
of the Request offering through the GUI.
