Unable to install gcc, says /var filesystem full

Hi,
when i am trying to intall gcc on solaris9, it says

when i try to check the disk free using df -h, i get output as

i can see clearly tht my first slice which i have used for /var filesystem is not full. what might be the problem?

hi,
I am having a similar problem while trying to install gcc...This is the error messg I get-

Installation of <SMCgcc342s> failed (internal error).
No changes were made to the system.But when I do a df - h it looks like I have enough space...then why am I getting this error?
