Unable to open account sometimes and unable to open icons

today i turned on my laptop entered my user account password and connected to my internet .within 2 minuites of opening my internet my computer froze .so i turned it off by pressing the off button . after 2 min i turned the computer back on again . but this time when i scrolled over my account name i was unable to enter my password , the box would not open to do so . so again i closed the computer down , restarted it and was able to open my account . but this time im unable to click open any icons such as FINDER , SAFARI , SYSTEMS PREFERANCE, OR any icons on the top tool bar .
there is just a coloured circle when i scroll on top icons on placed middle of screen .
how can i restore my laptop to normal
i have good power supply and battery and this is the first time in 4 years since i had it

Judging from the issues you are having, you may want to try to reinstall the operating system on your computer. We have an article that explains how to do that without losing your files, and it can be found right here:

As the title says.. I cannot login neither to facebook nor twitter on Mountain Lion.
Shutting down and restarting the MacBook doesn't work, as well as the time and date setting or Twitter/Facebook App preferences.
All useless.

System Preferences --> Mail, Contacts, & Calendars --> Remove your Twitter account by clicking on the at the bottom of the left hand pane in the window.
Go to your Twitter account and under your Settings --> Apps, revoke access to OS X Integration and click 'Save'.
Return to your System Preferences where you removed your account and attempt to add the account again. After you enter your @username and password, attempt to use the app in the notification window.
It fixed the problem for me and even gave access to the OS X Integration back to my apps on my Twitter account.
Prior to this, the Mail, Contacts, & Calendars would tell me that it was 'Unable to verify account username and password'. Very frustrating.

Unable to download firefox browser and unable to open webpages normally ??

I am a new Macbook user, I just got a new Air, I am having trouble downloading Firefox, I tried downloading the file from the download section however, I was unable to open the webpage and recieved the following error:

The best way to download Firefox would be through the official source at http://www.getfirefox.com. When it finishes downloading, drag the Firefox icon to your Applications folder, and then "eject" the disk image.
Regarding other sites, you may be having trouble due to not having the Flash plugin installed. You can download it at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

what is the meaning of these terms.
when I am click open next account period , it is opening month wise.
in my test application period only before 2007 is opened. now I want to open directly 2012-2013 period.
how to do that.

Opening a box and keeping it open until user closes

I currently have a click box that when clicked displays a number of different stats about the user and a close click box that closes the information when clicked. I want to leave the box open if the user does not close it across multiple slides. Is that possible?

As far as I know that is not possible to do with a Captivate object. The "easy" solution is to create this box in Flash instead and script the open/close command here. That way you will be able to import it to Captivate and have it stay open across separate slides. Of course it does require that you have access to Flash and know how to use it ;o)

Firefox Sync Account Deleted and unable to create new

My Firefox sync was working fine, until my Firefox for Android, started acting up, and I had to reinstall it. When I tried to set up sync again, it asked for a recovery key, which I didn't have (I know, I'm sorry). Getting the data is not a big deal for me, as my desktop Firefox is still alive and well, so this is where I didn my big mistake. I deleted my sync account. Now I am unable to create a new sync account using that email address, as Sync says, Account already in use. I have deleted it and confirmed in the web portal where it says username/email was not recognised. Please help. I need to set this up. I am reluctant to use a different email account, as all my details are tied in with this one, and I have been using this forever.

Unable to join environment message and hanging when opening / closing db

HI ,
I got the above error message when trying to open the environment.
Note that before opening I tried closing the db process but it hanged so I killed the process.
Another phenomenon I got with another database that was about 20 Gigas is that opening hanged, without any error message, for a long time (about 4 hours ) and only then was successfully open.
So my question is twofold -
1. What might be the reason for the hang in closing / opening - note that there was no reading/ writing activity on the database.
2. How should "unable to join the environment message be handled ?
Maybe this could help diagnose the issue of low opening - the environment folder is filled with many log files created by berkeley db when adding data. Can these files be removed ?

Unable to open printer utility and unable to view ink levels

Just installed an HP Laser Jet Pro P 1102 W.It is connected to the airport base and it prints.My problem is that I cannot open the printer utility to configure wireless and the ink supply level gives no reading.If I connect the printer to the computer I am able to get the ink supply level to give me a reading but still cannot open the printer utility.I have an Imac with Mavericks O/S.I should have the latest drivers installed as apple installed them when I opened the printer.
Any suggestions as to how to get the utility open or how I can print wirelessly without using it.My printer does not show up on airport.

Unable to link accounts (RZ and BB) - verification email never sent

Hi there,
I've spent a few hours on the phone trying to get this sorted and the help is always courteous and friendly, but I can't seem to get my issue solved.
I got the dreaded "we're experiencing technical difficulties" message when I tried to add items to my cart. Calling up revealed a lot of very old numbers and information, so we got that cleared out.
Then the cart was resolved, and I had to change my password.
The only thing remaining is linking my accounts. I get through it all, enter my number and get the "verification email sent" and get nothing.
All the BB emails show up (from account changes etc.) and nothing goes to the spam folder.
The last time I called, the lady said she'd place a ticket with the technical account department or somesuch and they'd get it resolved. That was a few weeks ago and I still can't link the accounts.
Is it possible that my email is set to "bounce" and you can uncheck that for me, please?
