Unable to rearrange event list columns

I ran into this issue a while back, it fixed itself but now with upgrading to 10.03 it's back. I'm an experienced editor but FCPX is still new to me. The event list columns will not move. Clicking and dragging a column heading is not working. I have trashed preferences to no avail. I'm also unable to type into the Notes column. Also selecting a different event clip does not change the clip in the "viewer". If I relaunch FCPX I can select different clips successfully but if I try to rearrange the column headings then the selection of a different clip will not change the cllp in the viewer. I posted on COW when I originallly had this issue and another poster said he was having an identical problem so it's not just my system.
For other folks who can successfully rearrange the event columns does the arrow turn into a hand when you click on a column heading to drag it?

Yes, my pointer will turn into the hand but it reverts to the pointer as soon as I attempt to drag it.

Is there any data in list? It seems there is content type in list, which is referring this column, that's why you are not able to delete it. Could you please verify. If column added in content type then delete column from content type.

Unable to set message list column headers

I am trying to use "apply colums to folder and its childern" but it simply does not work (maybe a bit random). I know it used to work but something recently reset a lot of my feeds to default columns and I need to get them back to the (uniform) setting I use for them all. Doing them all manually without the assistance of "apply colums ..." is not something I want to do! thanks. (latest Thunderbird on Windows 7 / 64)

As a test; I added a column header 'Size' to my Inbox folder.
click on icon and selected :
'Apply columns to' > 'folder and it's children' > 'mail account name' > 'mail account name'.
(I did not select an individual folder - just the mail account name)
I then refreshed all folders by collapsing and reopening or selecting folder to refresh it.
All folders in that account were changed to exactly what was selected in the inbox.

Yes, that kind of tallies with my experience ... after 3 days of useless iPhone 3G (BTW, killing 3G on the phone and relying on acquiring AT&T 2G didn't help, it still locked onto T-Mobile with the result that it was draining battery and rebooting frequently!), I ended up visiting the local Apple Store.
Although the visit was not to resolve the iPhone problem, whilst there I happened to cycle the phone and due to the store having a local AT&T cell, the strength of the local signal meant that I finally re-acquired a AT&T 3G signal ... once locked on again the phone was fine for the next day.
Nett outcome of this is that I would prefer to lay most of the blame for this debacle on the poor state of 3G support both by AT&T (and US carriers in general), maybe exacerbated in my case by two related events (the local DNC in Denver, which saturated local AT&T cells including 3G and a proliferation of v2.0.0 and v2.0.1 firmwares on iPhones in town, which dragged cell coverage into the weeds).
It would be nice for future sanity if AT&T and T-Mobile could at least resolve the ability to acquire/release the iPhone gracefully, otherwise I'll be very sceptical of travelling back to the US with only my iPhone, as a self-employeed consultant I can't afford to be out of touch for three days again!

Event List - Used to show 1 event per line that I could open and view photos. Where is that feature?

I was editing photos (iPhoto) and events were shown as 1 Event per line, preceeded by the > triangle, that I could click and open the event to see the photos.
I was collapsing all the events so I had a nice list by date, and was naming each event.
Then I hit something, and the 1-line per event went away, and now instead of showing events as a list,
it shows events as "icons" with the key photo etc.
How do I get back to listing events as a LIST ?? Like in the Finder window, where you can see
files as Icons, Lists, Columns, or CoverFlow.
All I can see now is the "Icons" view, I want the "Lists" view.
Anyone seen the "Lists" view ?? and how to get back to it?

To Collapse all the List sub-item details, cursor on one triangle, then ALT-CLICK and they all close up producing a useful listing;.

Unable to view table list

I am able to connect to the database through sql developer but unable to view tables list.
Select query is displaying the contents though.
Any Help ???

I am on Windows XP using SQLDeveloper Build 5440 and I am having a similar problem (I think).
I am able to connect to the database, I am able to see a list of all the tables (as the owner) in the tree but i can not see anything under columns and am shown 5 all null rows under data. I am able to view statistics, DDL and I can query the table with a select and get results. I have tried reverting to an older versin of SQLDeveloper but that gave me the same result.
If this is the same problem then I am having it too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Day View Event List: How to Display Only One Day

I love Day View in the calendar, but I find it confusing to have the whole week's list of events on the left list column.
How do I change it so that I display only that day's events?

Okay I will try reformating the camera's card. However all is well when I export photos to my iMac at home or onto my iPad.
If your suggestion does not work should I try reinstalling iPhoto from the iLife disk? If so, how do I go about doing that or is there a website somewhere explaining this?

Unable to rearrange new playlist

I put a new playlist together last night, after doing the 8.2.1 update. Oddly, I can't rearrange the play order on this new list. Yet, I can still rearrange older lists. What gives?

Make sure shuffle is turned off, and make sure the little triangle is over the number column. (If the triangle is over some other column, the list will stay sorted by that column and the tracks cannot be moved.)

Event List view in iCal?

I would love to have an Event List view in iCal like I do on the calendar on my iPhone. Is there such a thing? The particular reason for wanting it (this time) is that one of the calendars in the ON MY MAC list has a number in a oval to the right.
I believe this is trying to tell me that there is a new event that I need to do something about. Problem is, I don't know where to find it.

There is no event list option on iCal like the one on the iPhone.
That number means that you have an event invitation. Use iCal>View>Show Notifications to choose what to do with the notification.

Open Directory: "Unable to load replica list"

I'm currently running Mavericks Server 3.1 on my Mac Mini at the home network. I had some issues with the client logins and went for local accounts on the clients instead. Today I finally wanted to fix the problem and go all Open Directory. But the Open Directory service was shut off when I opened the server software. I tried to turn it on but got a message saying "Unable to load replica list". I updated the software to the latest 3.1 but are still having the same issue. I never had any replica list, I only had a standard one from the start, but it seems I can't do anyhing there now.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It makes no changes to your data. If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out these instructions.

Event listing shortened in iCal

When I enter some events in iCal they do not appear in their entirety in the calendar. Some events use two or three lines, some cut off in only one line. The only solution I have found is to keep changing the 'name' of the event until I hit on one that does not cut off. Surely there is another solution! Any ideas?

OpenDirectory: Unable To Load Replica List, after Time Machine Restore

I followed the following instructions provided on another thread (Open Directory: "Unable to load replica list"):
Many Open Directory problems can be resolved by taking the following steps.
1. The OD master must have a manually-assigned IP address on the local network, not a dynamic address.
2. The primary DNS server used by the master must be 127.0.0.1 (that is, itself) unless you're using another server for internal DNS. The only DNS server set on the clients should be the internal one, which they should get from DHCP if applicable.
3. Verify that the master's hostname matches its domain name by running the shell command
sudo changeip -checkhostname
4. Follow these instructions to rebuild the Kerberos configuration on the master.
5. If you use authenticated binding, check the validity of the master's certificate. The common name must match the hostname and domain name. Deselecting and then reselecting the certificate in Server.app has been reported to have an effect in some cases.
6. Unbind and then rebind the clients in the Users & Groups preference pane. Use the fully-qualified domain name of the master.
7. Reboot the master and the clients.
8. Don't log in to the server with a network user's account.
9. Export all OD users, delete them, turn off OD, turn it back on, and import. Ensure that the UID's are in the 1001+ range.
And got the following results:

Resulted in the following console output: The names match. There is nothing to change.
The touch command resulted in "No such file or directory." I circumvented this by manually creating the migration directory, then running the command again. The killall command failed saying "No matching processes were found." Opening the server app after that shows no change.
My trusted certificate was apparently not restored from the backup, as it was no longer listed. I switched to the self-signed one until a CSR can be made.
I'm not clear on what this actually means. There is no unbind or rebind functionality in the server app. Not to mention that my users or groups are no longer listed.
Nothing changed after rebooting the server.
Have always logged into server using the local server admin account.
Where is this done? I don't see any place to do this in the Server App.
At this point I'm suspecting that there are some serious Time Machine recovery bugs with server, as I have tried with multiple different restore points all ending in the exact same result.
Any recommendations on where to go from here? I would love to do a fresh install, but need to archive the data from the server first. Unfortunately, I don't see how I can export each users' data without being able to log in as them.

There seem to be some issues with PostgreSQL not running. Marketcircle Daylite and Billings Pro also won't start, and are showing errors to that effect.
