Unable to release planned order for single line from MRP workbench

Hi
We are unable to release planned order for single line from MRP Planner workbench, but Select All For Release is working for all the lines for the item
User want to release a specific line but no new requisition is generated
It is highly appreciable if anyone could help to resolve this issue
Appreciate the Help
Regards
VKPK

It sounds like the release goes through in the workbench but the requisition does not show up in source - is this correct? If so I would check item attributes / flags for purchasing and buy. also have found some items require a purchase price to be populated in master and org

  • Convert multiple planned orders to single production order

    Dear All !
In our business, same component is used for manufacturing multiple items. In a sales order multiple items are booked. When we do MRP RUN, system creates multiple planned orders for each line item. We can run only one production order as for every item order quantity becomes very small and we cannot process that lot. To have a sizable lot quantity we need to combine all planned orders into a single production order.
    Can someone please help.

    Govinder,
Define those components for collective processing. You need to define "2" - for Field Indv/Coll in MRP4 view of those material master and you can have daily/weekly/monthly lotsize defined for those items.

  • Can MRP only create planned orders for ROH, not for FERT?

    HI all,
Is there any way to only generate planned orders for raw materials after MRP, forbid creating planned orders for FERT?
We want create planned orders for FERTs manually.
    Thanks,
    Harvey

    Harvey,
Yes, that was also my understanding of your scenario. Did you try X0 for Fert?  Run MRP against the entire plant, and MRP will not create any new planned orders for the X0 parts.  It will explode the BOM and create dependent requirements in the components.  In addition, you can create FERT planned orders manually, or using an external planning system, and these manually created orders will also create dependent demand on your components.
If you are also using Sales orders to consume your PIR, you will also have to look at requirements determination for Sales orders.  This is configured based on MRP type.  If you change existing MRP types, you may have to add SD config so as to continue to pass requirements to MRP.  Your SD resource should be able to help you through this, or I can give you basic instructions if you decide that the PIR/demand/planned order/dependent requirements works to your satisfaction.

  • Default subinventory for released planned orders

Is there a place where we can assign a default receiving subinventory for the released or auto-released MRP Planned orders?
We need the PO created from these released planned orders to have a specific receiving subinventory. It may be defined by item or better by user or responsibility.
    Thanks a lot.
    Luis

    Hi Luis,
Please check the Setup Item Transaction Defaults in Inventory (Navigation:Inventory>Setup>Transactions>Item Transaction Defaults).
Its functionality is Sub inventory and Locator defaults are specific to "ITEMS".
Use this form to define a default sub inventory and/or locator for any item for shipping, receiving, and move order transactions. Oracle Shipping Execution displays the default shipping information when you ship an item. Oracle Inventory displays the default receiving information when you receive an item. For move orders, Oracle Inventory derives the default put away locator when you transact an item into a locator controlled sub inventory if no locator was specified by the creator of the move order.

  • Where/ how do I set SNP to create Planned orders with multiple line items?

    Hi
Currently our SNP is generating planned orders on a daily basis, it creates a single order with a single line item per location.
Where/ how do set SNP to create planned orders on a daily basis to generate a single order with multiple line items per location, so therefore one planned order with multiple line items for a single location.
    Thanx
    Keegan

    Hi Keegan,
In SNP (APO) it is not possible to create order with multiple line items.
But you can do some settings so that while planning system can do aggregation and disaggregation.
But your requirment should be set on Aggregation/Dis-aggregation logic.
    Please follow the follwing links:

Please be sure that the setting of this logic will be at planning area level.
You can't change aggregation/disaggregation logic further.

  • Several plan orders for the same day

    Hi SAP Experts,
In my company we have a requirement to produce the same finish material in two work centers, using different BOMs. This was achieved through production versions for production orders. Now we need to plan (Indipendent requirement & Plan orders )the material based on these two BOMs.
We enter the indipendent requirement in MD61. I have given the production version against the requirement (In schedule lines tab). However i am unable to give two different requirements for the same day in different production versions.
Then i tried using different planning versions and assigning the different production versions to different plan versions.
Although my indipendent requirements are taken in different production versions(As I can see in MD04). When i run MRP plan orders are raised as the total of the requirements and in only one production version.
Please, Can some one help me to find a method to raise different plan orders for the same day in different production versions???
    regards,
    Madhushika

    Dear All,
I tried  quota arrangements as a solution for above mentioned problem. What i require is to devide the PIR for a particular day in to two equal parts in two different production versions so that two plan orders will raise in equal quantities for the same day in two different production versions.
With quota arrangement what i get is alternative plan oders in different versions in diffrent days.
For example If my PIR are
    Day 1 = 1000
    Day 2 = 1500
    Day 3 =  500
    Day 4 = 1000
    what i get is
    Day 1 = 1000  - prd ver1
    Day 2 = 1500  - prd ver2
    Day 3 =  500   - prd ver1
    Day 4 = 1000  - prd ver2
    What i want is
    Day 1 = 500 -prd ver1
    Day 1 = 500 -prd ver2
    Day 2 = 750 -prd ver1
    Day 2 = 750 -prd ver2
    Day 3 =  250 -prd ver1
    Day 3 =  250 -prd ver2
    Day 4 = 500 -prd ver1
    Day 4 = 500 -prd ver2
Hope its clear to you all.
Please advise me how to configure the system according to this reqirement.
    Best regards,
    Madhushika

  • MTO - how to prevent a second planned order for a sales order?

    Dear friends,
We are working on Make to Order process (Planning strategy group 20).
    No Production/process order is used
Shop floor uses a different system --> details from planned order is passed to the shop floor system; and finished product is delivered/posted into SAP Sales order stock - through interfaces
    No QM in place
    A typical day-to-day scenario –
    Sales order Qty = 100
MRP Run à Planned order qty = 100
Raw materials posted to ‘Sales order stock’
    Planned order is firmed
For example if Produced qty = 90
sales order stock of the finished product = 90
Balance 10 cannot be produced / delivered for various reasons
Planner posts the raw material to cost center / rejections / own stock etc., and ensures that the ‘sales order stock’ of the raw materials are zero.
    Planner deletes the planned order
Next MRP run triggers a new planned order for the balance qty 10
Now, the requirement is to prevent the new planned order getting generated for the balance quantity, during the subsequent MRP run (despite the shortage in the Sales order stock of the finished product).
The following options have been evaluated –
Once the final good receipt is done & before deleting the planned order,
o       Change the Sales order quantity to match the total produced quantity
o       (or) Change the schedule line category for the Sales order item from CP to CN
§         Since the Sales order and planned order are handled by different teams, considering the frequency of correspondence/coordination needed between these two teams to get the sales order items corrected, this idea is not accepted
§         Additional authorization for the planner to change the sales order item is not acceptable
Include Under delivery / Unlimited tolerances
o       at the customer (master) level
    o       (or) Sales order level…
    §         In this case, System seems to consider the tolerances only when the  delivery for the Sales order is posted; and not when the sales order stock is received within the tolerance limits;
§         Considering the time gap between the GR and Delivery of the finished product, this option is not accepted
Kindly suggest the other options / settings / processes, to meet this requirement
Thank you for your time and efforts.
    With Best Regards,
    Senthil

  • Is there a link between ASCP released planned order and purchase requisition?

    Hi,
i'm new to EBS. would like to know is there some kind of link on table level between a released planned order with purchase requisition?
    thanks

    Hi,
As explained by Abhishek, we do not maintain any link between the PLANNED ORDER from which a requisition is created and the actual requisition.
The simple reason being... in general, businesses run the plans on a daily basis and each time the plan is run, the previous data is overwritten... so there is no point in retaining the information of the planned order from which you are creating the requisition.
    Hope that helps.

  • Separate planned order for each sales order

    Hello experts,
Here, on a given day when more than one sales order are created, only one planned order is generated by the system. My lot sizing procedure is ex. How can I create different planned orders for different sales order? My planning strategy for the header material is 40.
    Thanks in advance!
    Snigdho

    Dear,
In lot size EX if requirement comes on single day system will create combine procurement proposal in MTS.
Separate procurement proposals can only be achieved if you work with make-to-order production. Here, the requirements are managed in separate planning segments of the stock/requirements list.
Please refer the OSS note 550568 question no 6 for details.

  • Unable to view planned order from exceptional summary window

    Hello All,
I have ran ASCP plan and it details out the exceptions and recommendations, but I am unable to view planned order from exceptional summary window>recommendations>cilck discrete jobs, no planned orders visible. This issue also shows up for other exceptions, on click of exceptions details it shows up the items but unable to take any actions.
I have tried by giving large no of days to view recommendations in preference.
Can someone help me to reslove issue.
    Thanks,
    Edited by: user604737 on Jul 18, 2011 6:09 AM

We don't have any query built on the exceptional window. As I am able to view below recommendations
    Recommendations
    Discrete Jobs 8
    Purchase Req 27
When we click on discrete jobs/purchase req, its not showing any planned orders in supply window.
Can you please let me know, which is the backend table which stores supply information which are displayed in exceptional window.

  • Auto-release Planned Orders is not creating WIP job after zero on-hand (i.e. Level Below  safety stock)

    Hi
The time release fence in defined at item level as 1 day also safety stock level is defined in inventory safety stock form.
Once MRP launch it should create the discrete job against item as zero onhand for that item but MRP workbench is showing planned order for the item instead of creating item.

  • Combining multiple planned orders into single purchase requisition

    Hi Gurus,
could anyone please tell me how to convert multiple planned orders generated during MRP run into a single purchase requisition? Also, is there any other way of getting single purchase requisition fcreated after MRP run for a procured item which is part of multiple BOMs?
    Thanks and regards,
    Abhik

    Hi,
Conversion of Multiple planned order to single Purchase requisition is not possible.
But you can have a single Pur.Req for Multiple requirements.
    You can do this by:
    1. Individual/collective indicator "2" collective requirements for the Header Material so that you will get your dependent requirements clubbed together.
    2. Period Lot sizing : Daily/weekly/monthly Lot size so that system will club the entire period requirements and propose a single lot.
    3. for low value materials you can have Reorder Point planning also.
    Hope this helps..

    Siva

  • Double planned order or schdule lines

    Hello,
I am getting double planned order or schedule lines on monday.
This situation is getting corrected on tuesday in monday's night planning cycle.
if i see on next monday this situation occurs for other material not for earlier one.
Planning cycle is running on friday as well as saturday.
Saturday and sunday is off days.No activity is carried out on those days.
    Please reply.

    Hello Sunil,
did you get a solution for your problem at any time?
We are facing a similar problem. A planned order is created by MRP heuristic in APO and the next day we have 2 planned orders. We have the impression that the 2nd planned order is created during the background job run for /SAPAPO/RRP_ORDER_CONVERSION.
The problem appears sporadic for several materials, but always in the customer specific segment.
While we run the /sapapo/ccr the next morning we see, that the 2nd planned order is not available in R/3 (error 154) - even if it has the planned order number out of the number range in R/3.
Grateful, if one could give a hint how to fix it.

  • Can I releases planned orders in planner workbench  using inventory planner responsability (IO)

Can I releases planned orders in planner workbench using inventory planner responsability (IO), in IO manual I found following information :
    Planner Workbench
You can use the Planner Workbench in Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning to act on recommendations generated by the planning process for a plan. You can implement
planned orders as discrete jobs or purchase requisitions, maintain planned orders, reschedule scheduled receipts, and implement repetitive schedules. You can choose all
suggestions from an MRP plan, or only those that meet a certain criteria. In Oracle Inventory Optimization, Planner Workbench is used to perform tasks such as setting up
item attributes, setting up supply chain BOM, and analyzing time-phased safety stocks.
my question is Oracle Inventory Optimization, Planner Workbench can´t release planned orders.
    Thanks in advance
    regards James

    Hi James,
We cannot release planned orders from IO workbench.
IO is for safety stock planning, not for releasing planned orders. That is done from an ASCP plan which uses the IO plan as demand schedule.
