  • Hp photosmart plus b210a unwanted printing

I am using hp photosmart plus b210a wireless printing mostly from my laptop which is windows 8 HP.
I've been seeing unwanted high-ink-use pages that do not belong to me or a friend i share it with.
Other people are having access to my printer, without my permission, and wasting my ink and paper.
Is there a way I can control which computers can use my wireless hp printer?

That's the information I needed.  You have set up a 'public' WiFi and don't want others to use the printer.
    You have two options here.
First is to set up Printer security.
Go to Start/Devices and Printers/Printer Properties.  Select the Security tab and set up the Users only.
    Second it to follow here.
Connect wireless printer when away from home in a hotel/motel/dorm room with total security.

  • Unwanted printing of advanced payment when printing a sales order or pick

It will be great to have an option of disabling the automatic printing of the advanced payment incoming payment when printing a sales order or invoice.
The option is currently not available on the document printing options.

No print sequence for sales order is setup.
But even before on 2007 version, it was SAP default to print always the incoming payment of an advanced payment on every sales order or invoice.

  • How to deleted unwanted printer driver?

I have recently re-installed my printer driver and would like to delete the old one.  Does anyone know how to do it?

If you mean printers in the Add-a-Printer box, you added the new one with the [+] icon, and you select the old one and press the [-] Icon to remove it.
If you mesn you downloaded new software drivers, the new one replaces the old one and no one here has ever found the old software driver to be an issue. (It is probably deleted.)

    Hi,
That is more likely a Schedule Delivery Prinable you wrogly signed up from teh Apps menu.
A printable should have its name listed on the bottom of the printed page.
Expend the Managing Scheduled Delivery Printables > Managing Scheduled Delivery Printables section below and follow the steps for your region to disable its printing and remove the printable:

  • Unwanted print jobs

  • Unwanted faxes, Print Apps, Auto Printing. Manager Tools, Motley Fool

Many HP printers are Web Enabled and can connect to the 'cloud' to receive content or ‘Print Apps’.  These Print Apps can be setup to be delivered on a Scheduled Delivery schedule.  Some customers are inadvertently signing up for this service and think that they are getting a fax or unwanted print app sent to their printer.
There are two ways that you may have signed up to receive this content.
    1.  You can go to www.hpeprintcenter.com and login by creating an account, identifying your printer, and then selecting one of many print apps that will then appear on your printer panel.  You can then select a desired ‘Scheduled Delivery' for this app that allows your printer to automatically print selected print apps on a set schedule.  i.e. you could receive a news page, crossword puzzle, or article every morning at 7:00 am.
    2.  Web enabled printers have a few print apps located on the front panel out of the box and a customer can also initiate a print app to be delivered on a set scheduled from the front panel.  When any of these print apps are selected the customer is asked on the printer screen if they would like to subscribe to the print app.
***Some customers are either inadvertently selecting these print apps and subscribing to them without knowing or the printer is located in an environment where multiple users have access to the front panel of the printer and one user is selecting the print app while others may not.  Users who are unaware of how this Scheduled Delivery’s was set up will sometimes think that they are receiving a fax.
Methods of stopping a Scheduled Delivery Print App
    1.     From the printers front panel go to the 'Apps' section and scroll through until you find the desired print app.  Select the print app and then choose 'Pause' subscription.  This will pause the subscription until a user selects it again and 'resumes' printing.  If the print app is not visible on your printer it may have been removed, please go to method 2.
    2.  Go to www.hpeprintcenter.com and login to your account, create an account if necessary.  Go to the 'Apps' section and select the desired print app.  Select 'setup' and then 'update settings', at the bottom of the settings page you will see in blue text 'Cancel Scheduled Delivery'.

It sounds like you are trying to make the change from the application on your computer.
Instead, make the change directly on your printer.
At the home screen on the printer, press the Apps Icon, then press the icon of the particular App you wish to cease printing, when you see Pause, then you need to press Pause to stop your subscription. You should then see Resume and OK. Don't press Resume as that will restart your subscription. Press OK, then your Home button (looks like a house, located around the outside of the control panel) to get out.
Once you have pressed Pause you have stopped your subscription. You might receive one more issue but you shouldn't receive any more after that.

  • Clean out unwanted Printers and Localizations

After a rather stressful installation of Leopard on my PB 17", and subsequent stressless installations on my family's Mac Mini and iBook 14", I'm now looking to reclaim some of the 5GB or so of free space I lost on each of the disks. I've identified that most of it went to the Library folder. I would really like to know if there is a clean way to uninstall unwanted printer drivers and localizations other than "delete and pray". Any thoughts?

    Hello David,
Printers - I just threw the lot away and started afresh. No problem installing the 1 required driver.
Languages - Mac Pilot works a charm.

  • Printing stuck in queue

I inadvertently had many pictures highlighted when I tried to do   another printing job on my HP office jet 5610 all-in -one.  When I noticed my mistake I pushed "cancel" on the printer to stop the 108 pictures from printing.  When I tried to resume the intended print job, I could not delete the queued job...and therefore the printer won't print.  I read other posted Q. and A's to see if any would help, but was not successful.  Any simple answer.  I know that if I let the unwanted print jopb run it's course it would prob. fix the problem....but 108 pages??  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Matt

I'vehad this problem with the 5610 ever since I went with Windows 7.  I've downloaded and installed  their recommended driver software, around 360 mb, and still have the problem.  HP provides a rediculously complex recommended 5-8 step process for recovering from this problem that requires downloading even more HP software.  This may allow me to recover but its crazy to have to do this every time I need to print a document.
HP's recovery process; must be followed precisely.

I now have a Kodak printer that works fine with Windows 7.  That's my answer.

  • Deleting a paused print job in HP 2540 deskjet

I want to delete or cancel a print job I paused using wireless HP 2540 Deskjet all-in-one. I have been unable to get rid of it. I have tried:
    1. pressing the X on the top of the printer.
    2. Searching HP utility for a link to delete command.
    3. Going to HP help center (when click on DeskJet 2540 the link is empty)
    4. Unplugging the printer and plugging back in in a few minutes
When I go back in to create a new print job, a dialogue box appears saying a current job is paused and would I like to add a new job to the queue. The problem here is the job I am attempting to delete is about 120 pages that I no longer need to print.
I have a 13 inch MacBook Air with Yosemite 10.10.2. Any feedback will be appreciated.
    Richard

A reset of the printing system will remove the unwanted print job. Note that this action will also remove all printers from the Printers & Scanners preference pane, but not the supporting drivers. So you will just need to add the printers again.

  • Removing print drivers from Leopard

is it a)advisable and b)easy to remove unwanted printe drivers from Leopard's Library folder?

The printer folder is 2.7gb big, and I only use an Epson and/or a Lexmark, so I thought I might free up space to create an eDrive for TechTool. David Pogue's useful book on Leopard says you just trash unwanted drivers, but an article I just read online at Peachpit says that this can cause printing problems so I have a twinge of nervousness

  • MBP won't print on RICOH Aficio 2022 connected on the network

I have a MBP 2.66 GHz with Mac OSx 10.6.5 installed. I can't get it to print on a RICOH 2022. the RICOH is connected to the office network and I used to just log on to the office wireless network and print from my PC earlier, however the MBP won't. The printer has a static IP. I downloaded the specific drivers from the support site already and the MBP autoselects the printer and assigns the requisite PS driver, however the printing doesnt happen. I'd appreciate a few pointers..

Hello and welcome to Apple Discussions.
There are a few things to check.
    1. The protocol used to connect to the printer. If you selected IPP then this can stop you from printing. If you were to check the Properties > Ports > Configure Ports settings on the Windows connection to the Ricoh you may see if using Port 9100. On Mac OS X this is known as HP Jetdirect-Socket. So I suggest you open Print & Fax, select the Ricoh and open Options & Supplies. Under the General tab will be the printer queue. If it shows "ipp://IPaddress_ofRicoh" then you have used IPP to create the queue. Delete this queue and add it again, this time select Jetdirect for the IP protocol.
    2. The PS driver. If the Ricoh only supports PCL and not Postscript then this can stop you from printing, although sometimes you usually get lots of garbled pages when you use a PS driver to a PCL only device. Anyway, check that the printer does have Postscript (PS) support. This can often be found by opening the internal web page of the copier (simply type its IP address into your web browser). Somewhere within the pages available will be what printer languages are supported.
Or you could just check what driver the Windows are using.
    3. If the Ricoh does support PS then it may be using some form of accounting system. This can stop unwanted printing and copying unless a valid ID/password is entered. If you need to do this when copying then you probably need to also do this when printing. Again, checking the setup of the Windows driver should give some clues. If the accounting function is being used then there should be a menu within the driver to allow you to enter the appropriate ID/pwd.

  • Problem with iChat and Address Book

Ok, I've been having a problem ever since I used a program to remove my unwanted print drivers and language packs (I forget the program's name). Ever since then, my iChat and Address book will not open. The spinning beach ball appears, and nothing happens. Ichat just continues bouncing in the dock. All I can do with the programs is force-quit them.
I have tried re-installing OSX (not a fresh install), fixing permissions, re-installing the programs, and re-installing the drivers and language packs. Aside from a complete fresh-install, does anyone have any ideas why these programs are not running and how to fix them?
    Thanks,
    Jared

    I have a similar problem.
There are 3 user accounts on my iMac:
    I. The admin
    II. My account
    III. My wife's account
Where only the admin account can administer the computer.
All the applications work just fine when I am logged in as the admin. The problems appear when I switch to my account.
The following apps crash immediately on their startup:
    1. Mail
    2. Address Book
    3. iChat
    4. All the Big Bang board games
Safari browser crashes the moment you enter some input on a page with input edit controls.
Sherlock when trying to actually use any web service.
The crash log for any of the above always reports the same reason:
    Exception: EXCBADACCESS (0x0001)
    Codes: KERNPROTECTIONFAILURE (0x0002) at 0x00000004
The interesting thing is that each and every crash log reports the crash within the
com.apple.AddressBook.framework always at the same place:
    c4Sequence::PropIndex(c4Property const&) + 14
Note that the problem exists only with my account. Both the admin and my wife's user accounts are fine.
I have no idea where I take it from here. I really dislike the idea of recreating my account.
