UoM Conversion from SAP units to ISO units -- Prod Order IDOC (LOIPRO01)

Hello,
We are trying to build interface for Production Order details to pass to a Mfg. system. using IDOC LOIPRO01.
Looks like the IDOC processing is converting SAP on-screen UoM to ISO UoM for ex.  PC (in SAP Screen) to S2 (IDOC Field Value).
I would like to know if there is any OSS notes or anyother way to prevent this conversion and just pass the same value what we see in SAP screen to the Mfg. system.
Appreciate your inputs in thsi regard.
Best Regards,
Bharat.

changes in master data have only effect to NEW data, created after this change .
SAP never updates automatically already existing data.
Answer: No there is nothing that can trigger an automatic change.
changes to ratios between base unit and alternative units are unusual and the changer has to know about the effect. it is not only the existing info record, you have to think as well about open POs which still have the old conversions.

  • UOM Conversion from PO into SO

Can anyone tell me how to convert the unit of measure of the material from what is coming in 850 into the uom of the sales order uom.
thought would use a user exit and a function module Material_unit_conversion.
but wat user exit should be used?
    Suggestions greatly appreciated.
    Michelle.

Define the UOM conversion in Oracle.
Also if you are in R12, then you may setup the primary and secondary UOMs at the item master level to deal with both UOM.

  • Conversion from SAP R/3 system to web dynpro abap.

    hi,
Can anybody provide me with information on what all objects can be converted from an SAP R/3 system to a web dynpro ABAP application, nd hw??.

    Hi Girish,
I don't understand your question completely. Is your question related to the Internet Transaction Server? If it is a Web Dynpro question, I can move this thread to the Web Dynpro forum. What do you think?

  • UOM Conversion changes where conversion is only used for reporting

I think this is a different situation than I've seen in other posts.
We have a UOM conversion from CS to POUND (i.e. 1 case = 30 pounds), and at some point may want to change it so that 1 case = 28 pounds. In our situation, all transactions are done at the CS (primary UOM) and the weight is only used in calculations to print on shipping documents. Is there any harm in just changing the 30 to 28 when that time comes? Again, there are no transactions that reference the weight, no PO's, no SO's, no financials, etc.
We also have a similar situation where a PALLET may contain 100 cases now, but in the future be reconfigured to contain 90 cases. Same idea, nothing is transacted in Pallets, and the conversion is only used in reporting. Seems like it would be OK to change that conversion without causing problems. Any thoughts?
    Thanks for your insights!

I think this is low risk - just make absolutely sure that the uom was not used for customer pricing, internal pricing, boms, on ASL, on price breaks, on quotes, on POs, on material transactions, wip moves etc.
As long as it was truly used just for reporting, you should be ok.

    hi gurus
How DP UOM conversion from CS to 9 Liters cases

    Hi dallyanusha,
You can create user defined UOM conversion in CUNI transaction in APO or in R/3 and transfer to APO during the material transfer. Can you please brief about your actual issue.

  • Demo - Extraction of Customer Master Data from SAP R/3 ECC6 to MDM5.5

    Hello,
I am new to MDM . Would appreciate if someone can give a solution to the below request.
We are doing a demo project in our Company to extract all the master data related to SALES cycle. We are doing an extraction of Customer Master Data. Currently we have the unlicensed version of MDM and very soon we will get the licensed version.
We have the Customer Master Repository created in MDM Console. The IDOC type we are using is DEBMDM05.
Is there a easy way to map the fields of IDOC to the MDM Repository. Right now we are doing a manual process of comparing the IDOC fields and MDM Repo in an excel but this is tedious and time consuming.
Can anyone suggest an easier way to identify so that we know which fields match correctly.
    Thanks
    Leena

    Hi Leena,
First of all you have 2 options to generate IDOCs from SAP R/3 system
    1.mdmgx>one IDoc per record
2.mdm_clnt_extr>for generating single IDoc having entire set of records.
Secondly,if you want to get the data mapped automatically, you should use standard maps provided by SAP(Business Content).
If at all you have created new fields then you should manually map those fields.
If any other queries pl ask
    Reward points if found useful

  • Help needed in transferring IDoc from SAP CRM to XI

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue in sending an IDoc from SAP CRM to XI system.  The IDoc is triggered and the status is showing as 03 in SAP CRM system(WE05 is used) but it is not getting replicated in XI System. This is verified by logging into XI System and cross checked the records retrieved by executing the transaction IDX5. No entry is found for this IDoc.
In SM58 transaction, it is giving the status text as EDISDEF:Port SAPRIO segment defn E201CRMXIF_BILLI.
Any pointers on this issues will be very helpful. We are able to send information from XI to CRM.
The project is an upgrade one and the IDocs are developed earlier and were working fine one week back and no changes were made recently.
    Thanks,
    Udaya

    Hi Kapil,
Thanks a lot for your help. We need to delete and recreate Metadata. This is a typical problem that is encountered during upgrade projects.

  • Difference - ORDERS05 sent from SAP to Supplier and SAP to SNC to supplier

    Hi Friends,
Want to know the Difference between two scenario - detail level analysis,
    1. ORDERS05 IDoc (Purchase Order) sent directly from SAP to Supplier.
    2. ORDERS05 IDoc (Purchase Order) sent from SAP to SNC and then to Supplier.
Is there any difference based on technical or functional level, are there fields provided by the Idoc transfer different in both the cases, why exactly SNC is used at 2nd place - only for the central place for Supplier to have access to all the details and as a interface for supplier to deal with the requirement from customer or there are some other benefits of it.
Mainly need to know Difference between the Purchase order sent by both the scenario to supplier.
Any details on the same will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Guangwei,
Unfortunaly I cannot use the wizard because the services that I'm mapping are not available on a SAP server, they are in a complex C# class. The proxies I'm generating make these class methods available for SAP users.
So I'm making a generator that acts like the wizard, it builds code so that persons can access it.
About the offset, shouldn't this be offset = offset + length of last parameter?
The first parameter is a string with a length = 20, so the offset of the next parameter (in this case a float) will be 20, right? The size of the F type if 8, right?
I used your wizard to create a proxy for a BAPI that has a float parameter in one of the used tables, and I noticed that it had an extra attribute Decimals = 16, I added this attribute but I've got no improvement.
(I also tried to put a offset = 24 with no good results)

  • Idocs recieved by BODI uninterupted after F6 is pressed from SAP

    Hi All
My apologies if i have posted the thread in wrong forum, as i am new to business objects
I have built an outbound interface which sends idoc data from SAP to Business Objects data integrator(BODI), idocs are created perfectly but they are stuck in trfc queue(SMQS/SM58) if the external system is restarted and the first set of idocs are going, there are 9 listeners(ports) of the external system so i need to press F6(execute LUW manually) once for each listener(port) , after that the transfer of idocs is without interruptions until the external system is restarted again
    any clues are appreciated
    cheers

  • ISO unit EA cannot be converted unambiguously to an SAP unit for E1KONP

    Hi,
I am facing issue with unit of measure while posting idoc in inbound processing( BD20) it is throughing the error message is of status 51 " ISO unit EA cannot be converted unambiguously to an SAP unit for E1KONP " .
pls help to resolve the issue
    Regards,
    Naveen

My guess is that the conversion factors for the unit EA are missing or maintained incorrectly. They are probably in material master (MM03). Or some unnecessary field is filled in in the IDoc.
Also check if there is a long text for the message - sometimes it helps.

    HI,
I am working on 2lis_11_vaitm and 2lis_11_v_ssl sources.

In BW how do i convert these quantities to Base unit.
Both sales unit and base units are available in the sources. But value avialable only in Sales unit.
I am using delivery quantity from 2lis_11_v_ssl and Cumulative order quantity in 2lis_11_vaitm.

    Hi...
You can use the function module CF_UT_UNIT_CONVERSION to convert from one
    unit to the another.
    Hope this helps you...

  • Incorrect UoM Conversion on Transfer Requirement from Production Order

I have a Question on a Production Order that created a Transfer Requirement.  Looking at the Components of the BOM within the Production Order, I have a Material where the Issue Unit of Measure is QT and the Base Unit of Measure is EA, with a Quantity of 1.   In the Material Master Alternate Unit of Mesaures, the Conversion is setup so that 1 QT = 1 EA.   The question of why the 1 for 1 conversion is not relevant, as this is just how the material was setup and I know it does not make any sense.   When the Transfer Requirement is created it is showing that 1 Qt = .25 EA.  I am unable to locate where this conversion is coming from.   We do not want to lose visibility of this part number, as creating a new part number with a Base Unit of Measure of QT would fix the problem.
Is there anywhere in configuration where there could possibily be a Conversion?  I have looked at Control Cycles and the Reference Operation Set and do not see anything.

Closing Thread as there has been no responses but I am still looking for a solution.  The only  possibility that exists at this time is the material was copied from another material and the UoM Conversion was 1 QT = 4 EA on the Copy From Material.  I can not see where any changes were made to the unit measure conversion for the new material.  The only other possibility is the Production Order was manually converted to the new material incorrectly.

  • HTTP-Receiver: Code page conversion error from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1

    Hello experts,
In one of our interfaces we are using the payload manipulation of the HTTP receiver channel to change the payload code page from UTF-8 to ISO-8859-1. And from time to time we are facing the following error:
u201CCode page conversion error UTF-8 from system code page to code page ISO-8859-1u201D
Iu2019m quite sure that this error occurs because of non-ISO-8859-1 characters in the processed message. And here comes my question:
Is it possible to change the error behaviour of the code page converter, so that the error will be ignored?
Perhaps the converter could replace the disruptive character with e.g. u201C#u201D?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Thomas

    Hello.
I'm not 100% sure if this will help, but it's a good Reading material on the subject (:

The part of the XSLT / Java mapping might come in handy in your situation.
you can check for problematic chars in the code.

  • Article UoM conversion differs from Inforecord UoM conversion

    Hi experts,
While creating article through MM41(ALE), in basic data, we have maintained base UoM as KG and another UoM 1 CAR = 12 KG. The article is gettting created properly.
But the issue is the conversion for CAR is not reflecting correctly in the info record, it is 1 CAR = 1 KG in inforecord. In Purchasing view, We have maintained CAR as order unit. and variable order unit as 2 (active with own price).
The conversion in inforecord should be as same as the article UoM conversion. Can you please throw some light on why is this happening?
    Many thanks,
    Maniraj

    Hi,
I have checked inforecord log, there is no change log.
If the UoM measure has not been transferred to inforecord, the ideal conversion should be 1 KG = 1 KG, but in my case its 1 CAR = 1 KG, the order unit is getting transferred, why not the conversion value (1 CAR = 12 KG).
When i create directly throught MM41, all the details in the Note applies, and everything is fine.
    Thanks,
    Maniraj
