Update screen on iTunes
How on earth can I get rid of the January update reminder on iTunes? I don't want it, but it doesn't go away!!!
I get the option to say no thanks but I always get an error: "The iTunes Store could not process your request, please try again later". Why is this? The store always works when I give it money but not when I say no! Is it just me?

I have been without mu IPhone 4 since yesterday now as I tried to do the IOS6 update and since then it has messed up my phone and I am unable to access any of it's functions as it is locked on the update screen.
My phone was bought through Vodfone and have been on their network ever since, never had any problems like this.
It prompts me to connect to ITunes and when I do it will not go any further as stating 'No sim card is inserted in the IPhone you are trying to activate'. Well there is a sim in there and I have removed it and reinserted it on many occasions today. I am also not trying to activate my phone as all I did was try to the update which I was prompted to do in my setting!
I have seen many people on the net today with the same or similar problems but as yet I am to find a solution!
Help, please as it is driving me crazy!!!Try a Hard Reset.....
Press and hold the Wake / Sleep button AND the Home button at the same time, keep them both pressed until the Apple Logo appears on the screen, it can take 10 or more seconds. Ignore the swipe to turn off message. -
installed the ios 7.0.2 update to my iphone 4, now it is stuck on a screen with itunes icon and power plug.
I am unable to use the phone now. What should i do next? I plug in to itune in my computer and ask me to restore my phone? have reformatted my Imac using original discs (installed leopard (10.5)) tried to do the software update but it cant download the itunes update and when it gets to the configure update screen after restart for main update, it just gets stuck. HELP!
The configure bar gets about an 1/8 full and then just does nothing. I think its lists the update as combo update? cant remember with out checking.
I have tried to do the disk verify and repair but this has made no difference.
Please let me know what i need to do, I have reformatted the mac just to start over as was clogged with a lot of useless data, I had installed lion (10.7) from the app store previously and now cant seem to find a way to re install lion. I hope I dont need to pay for it again?If you erased your hard drive, you'll need to reinstll OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard to access the App store. You won't have to pay for OS X 10.7 Lion again. Did you try booting to the recovery partition by holding the command and r keys down? If that's still there, you can reinstall OS X 10.7 from there.
If you're looking to install the current iTunes, you need OS X 10.6.8 at a minimum.
If you're still trying to update OS X 10.5 Leopard, you can download the combo update from here. Download, use Disk Utility to repair permissions, apply the update, then repair permissions again. That will take you to OS X 10.5.8. -

My touch screen is not responding, I have reset the phone, plugged into different charger and tried to update it to itunes but they will not connect because I cannot put my passcode in, HELP please!

So, i cannot make restore my iphone 6+. And then, I cann't erase "device" in icloud.
My iphone is new. No icloud. didn't connect to itune backage.
That's why I try to connect iTunes but it need to enter passcode.

You are in Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions below to recover your iPad.
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
3. While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button.
5. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad. Data will be lost. -
Can't get itunes updates on ipad, but can get everything else...genius, purchases, etc. When I select "updates" screen is blank. Any ideas??
The update server is down; try this temporary workaround
App Store>Purchased>Select "All"
Note: Look out for apps that have the word "Update"

earlier i used to use windos xp.
as soon as i started windows 8.1, there is no "check for UPDATE" or "restore ur iphone " buttons on main screen of itunes..
how shd i update or restore my iphone now..?

IPhone - Update app and updated screen shots get posted to iTune
A few weeks ago we submitted updates for our 8 apps on iTunes. When we submitted the apps we added updated screen shots to the version of the app that was in review. We just found out that all of our screen shots on iTunes were updated over a week ago for our existing apps, but our update has not been approved yet. We did not update the screen shots for the version of our app that is "Ready for Sale". Is this a bug in iTunes Connect? Is this something we should not have done? It looks like you can add new screen shots for your updated app since iTunes Connect makes a copy of your app for the update. Were we supposed to wait until after our app gets approved to update the screen shots?

StephenUnfortunately the only thing that is tiemd with your update is the separate update changes text.
All other text and images are updated within a day so anyone making big updates needs to either:
1. Update manually after they notice their update is now live. Downside is there will be some people who view the listing before your changes are made.
2. Post the update photos and include a large note that this is for the coming update that is still being approved. Users can buy the current version and get all the features of the new version for free when it's approved.
As you've noted people may be downloading your current app thinking they're getting the features now shown, which will be frustrating for them. -
I am having trouble with my iphone, I updated it and when I turned on the screen the ituns and USB icon appear. I've tried to restore it but it sends me to the ituns icon right away and I dont know what to do.

Never once has my phone updated without deleting everything. It says "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes. I can't call for help because my phone is frozen on the screen with iTunes. On line live chat won't chat until I give them my serial number which I can't get to because its frozen and can't call for the same reason!! Omg! Someone please help me!?

i have connected my iphone5 to update the ios8 sofware, now it is stuck in the plug-n screen indicating itunes. the phone is not getting recognized when logged in to itunes on the computer
Try this:
Check that your security software and settings aren't preventing your device from communicating with the Apple update server.
Then try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good.
Confirm that your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers.
If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

Ipad locked up while trying to do an update. Don't know how to fix and can't use ipad at all. Black screen with itunes app in the middle of screen and it shows picture of charger that it wants me to plug in. Nothing works.
You are in recovery mode, you need to restore it through iTunes on your computer. Follow the article you linked from.
