Updating Revision level in purchase contract

Hi All,
I want to update the Revision level field (EKPO-REVLV) in a Purchase contract. The BAPI_CONTRACT_CHANGE is not updating the field. Please suggest me some options to update the same.
Thanks in Advance.
Senthil J

Hi Senthil,
Have you seen  the documentation of this bapi .Please check
Notes
Master conditions
When creating outline agreements, you can specify only one period per variable key. This means that just one period can be specified for the document header (i.e. condition table A019). The same applies to each item (i.e. condition table A016) and to each item/plant combination (i.e. condition table A068).
You can use any periods. However they must not overlap for a variable key.
When conditions are changed, new condition records are nevertheless written.
Because volume rebate conditions are not taken into account in outline agreements, they are not processed.
No subitems (e.g. inclusive/exclusive bonus quantities, display, etc.) are taken into account.
The control key for quality management in procurement (EKPO-SSQSS) and the certificate category (EKPO-ZGTYP) are only taken into account to a certain extent. These two items of information are copied from the reference contract or material master, but cannot be changed; neither are any checks carried out for these two fields.
The revision level (EKPO-REVLV) cannot be changed because various quality management routines were not implemented.
Version management (Document Change Management) is not supported.
External services (planned or unplanned) are not supported.
The creation or changing of configurations is not supported.
Post if need help here.

Madhu.

  • Revision level in purchase order

    Hello all,
when creating a purchase order for a material, the revision level from the material master will be automatically added to the Item-Material Data-Revision Level field.
But what happens if in the meantime the revision level is updated on the material master, I guess the PO will not be updated on that field?
The problem is, I need the updated revision level field on the output of the PO, currently I am using the field EKPO-REVLV in the sapscript which refers to the revision level data from the PO.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Anne

    Hi Prakash,
I have tried to use this field in the form: AEOI-REVLV
This should be the original table.
I am using the standard print program for POs: SAPFM06P
Unfortunatelly, somehow the value does not come up for AEOI-REVLV, but it does come up for EKPO-REVLV.
    Thanks,

  • Revision level not appearing in material tab of purchase order

    hi
I have matained revision level in material master but it is not appearing in material tab of purchase order and print preview of purchase order
    regards
    Badari

Hi, If u have created proper change no in CC01 with assigned object material with proper validity period u can give revision level to material.
In order to reflect the current revision level on PO printout, the coding in PO print program should be designed accordingly to pick the latest revision level. PO output needs to be re-issued so that the new output can pick the latest information like PO revision level from the master.

  • How to update UOM in purchasing Contract

    Hi all,
I am working on an issue where we are getting an input file and based on the data in the file we are updating our purchasing contracts. One of the change was to change the UOM of one of the line item in the contract, When I run the program I can see the UOM gets updated in Material master but when I looked at the contract using ME33, it didn't get updated in the contract.
Can you please suggest something on this.
    Thanks,
    Rajat

    Hi,
Maybe I do not understand your problem correct, but:
In a lot of cases changing data in Master data like the Vendor data, the data is not updated in eg the purchase Contract of the Vendor. Because a Contract reflects the situation / moment the Contract is made and can not be changed without consulting the Vendor and make a new contract. In that case you also have to change the contract.
    Success,
    Rob

  • Update dunning level and dunning details for a contract account

    Hi All,
I need to update the dunning history details(dunning level) for a contract account.
I am using the table FKKMAKO(dunning header).
Let me know if there is a Function module/BAPI/ any other way to update the dunning history details
    Regards
    Shiva

    545315 - FAQ: Dunning
[3] Question: How does the system determine the dunning level in the
                  master record?
The master record stores the highest dunning level that has been
determined for the account during the last dunning run.
If an account receives several dunning notices (e.g. in the case
of dunning by dunning level), make sure that you use ascending
order when printing, since the master record is updated after
           each dunning notice.
Note  838334 may also be the case.
    cheers,

We use a doc template to create a purchased part spec document and then save them as pdf formatted files.  These part spec documents are also appended with the datasheets for these purchased parts.  When we want to update/revise the document, is there a method, using Acrobat, to make those updates to the pdf, or must we go back to the doc template and basically generate a new document?
Also, our resulting pdf documents aren't searchable.  How can we generate pdf documents that are searchable?  I may want to search for a part value or name within the body of these pdf documents, but currently can't do that...very inconvenient.
    Can you assist?

Not totally sure about the search issue. A lot depends on how you created the PDF and what is in the datasheets you attached (like are they graphics?). The doc portion should be searchable as long as you used print to the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker. For your use, it may be that the print is adequate. However, the result should be searchable (unless maybe you had a form with filled in fields and created the PDF with PDF Maker. I think the form data may be retained in form fields and the fields are not searchable. In that case, a print might be a better procedure. (it would help to know the versions of WORD and Acrobat as well as the exact process you used to create the PDF.)
If the appended data sheets do not change, then you might try opening the original PDF and then using Replace Pages to replace the file created from the DOC file.

  • Revision level not updated in Delivery inspection

    Dear QM friends
I am facing the below issue when implementing delivery inspection.
We are maintaining Engineering Change Number concept and it is applicable for Material Master, BOM and Task lists. So our inspection Plan will always maintained with Change Number for all inspection type.
This Change number concept works fine in GR inspection (Inspection type 01) in following way. Revision number was maintained in Schedule Agreement Line Item, additional Data screen (In administration BOX). When GR was made inspection lot generated and shows the Revision number for the material in inspection lot display QA03 (Header). If plan having same change number system assigns the Plan and releases. Also this revision number can be viewed in QA32 screen itself.
This is failing when creating inspection lot for a delivery. Origin 10 and inspection type used was 10. Inspection plan maintained with change number. Schedule agreement (Sale order) having revision number in the same tab of above said. Even though in lot display QA03 it was not appearing. So the same is not coming in QA32 screen. But inspection plan was attached automatically.
We need same change number (Revision level) concept for Delivery inspection also. Kindly help us, i have missed any masters, or config or any steps i have to do to solve this issue.
    Thanks n Regards

  • How to update revision number in batch attribute at thetime of goodsreceipt

Hi all i got a requirement to enhance for this standard functionality the user exit is prod order exit_saplcosf_001 & purchase order exit_sapmm07m_003  and the functionality i have to acheive is
At the time of goods receipt the system should update the batch characteristics ofu201DRevisionu201Cwith the appropriate material revision level. The update should happen for receipt against as purchase order or against a production order. The information that is available with us at the time of goods receipts against purchase/production order will be the order number, material number, Quantity and Batch number. The receiving personnel will input the rev level of the material received (he will get it from the receiving documents received from the vendor) in the popup box provided by this enhancement. This enhancement will check the rev level entered by the receiving personnel with the rev level in the purchase order/ production order in question both match then it will go ahead and do the goods receipt. In case the revision level entered by the user and the one in the order does not match the system will given an error message saying u201C Pl check the material revision level as they do not match u201C. For items with no rev levels the EKPO-REVLV field in the PO will be blank. In case of a production order check the following field in the order header CAUFVD-REVLV to update the batch attribute with the revision level of the material being received in stock. In case CAUFVD-REVLV is empty then it would mean that there is no revision level for this material.
The pop-up box to enable the user to key in the revision level will be displayed only in case if the purchase order/production order has a revision level in them.
can u tell how to process to acheive this requirement
    thanks & regards

yes, because the Userfields is missing in the Object.
maybe you should tell this SAP, looks like they forgot it.
ok, you can also do it more complicated to stay official - save the information in a usertable.

  • Material revision level

    Hi,
What is the procedure to assign Revisin level to already existing Material .
and tables where Revision level is reflected
    Thanks

My requirment is to   assign new  Revision level to material and change revision level of already existing revision levels of material.  and to display Purchase order with material with revision level.
for already existing material with  revision level , Purchase Order and Delivery Schedule is showing Revision level.
(Revision level is assigned using CC11 and stored in table AEOI).  it is updated to table ekpo.
for PO and Delivery schedule , m picking data field from EKPO-REVLV.
and it is working fine. PO an DS shows REVISION LEVEL field.
( above case was during implementation )
but for last one year no one updated the revision level  of material.
now requirement is to update the material with revision level.
But the Problem when i try to assign new revision level to material or want to change the already existing revision level of material then ,it is assigned to material with CC11 and CC12 and  shown in table AEOI . but revision value is not updated to table EKPO for field REVLV . so by thins  PO and Delivery schedule is coming without  revision level.
how to reflect revision level assigned to material to table EKPO ? may be m missing some step ...
    i checked OS54 table
    my OS54 settings are
    REV LEV ACT                   (active)
    Ext. Revision Level            (inactive)
    Higher REV Level              (Active)
    Rev Lev Automatically      (inactive )

  • Open PR Material Master Revision Level

    Hi,
I am working on upgrade from 4.5b to ecc6.0.In this Project Material Revision Level and Change Number is assigned with Z Program.
The Requirement is the Program has to check the Open PR 's and that particular Material  needs to be updated with Change Number and Revision Level.
Now the Functional Specification to be prepared for the Technical Team -Based on the Open PR condition  -Now what are the fields to be specified in EBAN table in order to fullfill the open PR.
As per my understanding Open PR means PO is not created and PO is created means that PR is closed.
Or any other fields are to taken into consideration for preparing Functional Specification
    Please reply me ..
    Thanks for the reply.

It is very much possible. You can try this use case. It's pretty simple. But Vice-versa is not possible.
