Upload being restricted - Customer service via Liv...

Hi, so I'm a gamer who likes to Stream via Twitch.tv (which I'm sure MANY of you have heard of!) and I've just realized why I'm struggling to stream any better than 720p @ 30fps, when in fact the speed I'm "apparently" getting should stream in 1080p @ 60fps with the biterate at 3500kpbs.
However after using Googles transparency (throttle) checker, it turns out when streaming, or even uploading videos to YouTube etc I am actually getting 2600kbps rather than the 16500kbps when doing anything else. This is an insane amount of throttling due to the data type, so much for net neutrality eh?
(see link for data results)
So, what am I able to do about this?
p.s - download speeds are completely fine.

Problems with registration you can contact our support team at Contact Customer Care.  Please make sure you are signed in and selecting the proper selections from the pull down.  If you continue to not be able to contact our support team then I would strongly recommend the use of a different web browser, computer, smart phone, or tablet.

yes, I have indeed spoken with 28 different customer service rep.s, today is the 29th. and yes, i do not agree with the answer i am getting. I purchased a new phone in september, it is not functioning, and has not been, "fatal error" per tech support. they have finally sent me a replacement phone, and i received it a day and a half after it was "guaranteed" to arrive. the replacement phone is refurbished, i paid for a new phone, i would simply like to have a new phone to replace it.  or a refund to equal the difference in price btw purchasing a new phone vs. used..   i do not think i am being unreasonable, however, there are many people who read and reread policies on the phone. there is no way to contact the same rep. twice, so that one does not have to explain themselves again. no way to email anyone. the worst customer service i have ever dealt with ever.

  • I am in Paris and have no voice or data service (only text) and I cannot contact customer service via web (live chat). I am completely cut off. What can I do?

I am so frustrated that I am almost guaranteed to switch service as soon as I get back to the states.  I corresponded with Verizon 2 weeks before I left on the trip and they told me everything would work fine and told me the rates I would pay to have service in Europe.  Now I am here and I can't make calls, use email, or access any apps like Google maps!  I was lost for a good hour when I got here yesterday because I couldn't access any of the apps I had used to plan my travel and I didn't think to print maps before I left.  Fine, good, I'm not lost anymore, but I still have a week to go and travel to do and I would like help but I cannot reach service using the web.  I can't call from my phone.  I can't find a number to text.  I sure as hell am not going to call from the hotel as they charge something like 4 bucks a minute to call the states.  What do i do?

        Hi ach.wireless.account,
I apologize you're having issues with your service overseas! Which device are you using? I can give you a link for contacting global support to get assistance with this concern http://vz.to/1nhqgn3. I am sure once you are able to contact them they can help with getting your service working.

  • Does anyone at Customer Service know what is going on?

So, between being on the phone and going to a store, I've wasted over 3 hours of my time trying to get help from Verizon Customer Service to no avail.  I am currently 2 months short of completing my 2 year contract, however, the phone I have, an LG Spectrum, is a complete piece of junk and has become completely unusable.  I was hoping to either pay an early termination fee or else pay out the rest of the contract and start a new contract with a new phone so I could get something usable.  After much conversation with customer service via phone, I was told that my 2 options were to either go Early Edge (which is a complete ripoff...) or else just temporarily add another line to my account, pay for it for a few months then when my other contract is up, cancel that line and I would still be able to keep MY original phone number which I've had for much longer than I've been a Verizon customer.  This seemed like the better option and so I went into the store to combine my account with my wife's account first then do the second option.  After some time dealing with the individuals at the store they indicated that if I did this that I would not be allowed to keep MY number and that my only options were Early Edge or wait 2 months if I wanted to keep MY number.  This is horrendously disappointing and completely unfathomable that Verizon cannot work this out.  I feel like my number is being held hostage and that Verizon is trying to force me into the Edge program.  Considering that my wife and I have been extremely good customers for the past several years, I find this type of customer service to be an embarrassment.  I guess I'll have to strongly consider my third option which is to take my business to another provider along with MY phone number.  Hopefully someone at Verizon will read this and realize just how pathetic this level of customer service is.

This seems to be typical lately. We got bad customer service at our local Verizon corporate owned store. The sales person even insulted my wife.
So when we got home we tried to order what we wanted by calling Verizon and talking to a person that still did not get our order right. When we saw the copy of the order we cancelled it also. We wasted an hour on the phone.
That was strike two for Verizon.
Switch to AT&T or some other carrier. We used Sprint before switching to Verizon. Not sure how their reception is now. I know AT&T works great where we live because we know someone that uses them. We were with Sprint for 10 years at this same location and it worked great here and when we traveled to Florida. We have been with Verizon for 6, maybe 7, years as of this year.
When it is this hard to buy a couple of new phones then it is time to go somewhere else.
I do know that Disneyworld now uses AT&T instead of Verizon. They are now the official wireless provider.
We would have already switched since we are no longer under a contract, but my wife decided she wants to wait and see if the other carriers get the 32gb version of the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Our current phones work fine so we do not need another phone right away. I did cancel my cell phone with Verizon. I do not care which carrier I use as long as the phone works here where I live.

  • Skype's customer service fortress

Since Skype doesn't allow phone calls and since Skype only allows live chat to "eligible customers". Since I have a fraudulent skype charge on my bank account what I am suppose to do? Come here and be all like here's my first 4 and last 4 of my credit card, here's my name and address for all the public to see? What do I have to do? Contact the FTC?

    Dear Readers,
Unfortunately, credit card fraud is an industry-wide problem; neither Skype nor any other retailer, whether brick-and-morter store or online retailer, is immune.    Please review this FAQ article for next steps:  https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA10384/why-has-my-credit-debit-card-been-charged-by-skype-when-i-h...

Skype is aware of lingering problems with the website when contacting their customer service agents. If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service or find yourself redirected back to the Community, please try again using a different web browser and choosing a different path through the various drop-down menu options presented. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. If you have pop-ups blocked in your browser settings, this may also block reaching an agent.

  • Customer "service" phone maze needs a complete redesign

A billing glitch with my prepaid account required me to talk to a real person to solve my problem. First I tried calling *611, but each attempt got me into a dead-end phone maze that only allowed for routine automated transactions. There was no option given for speaking to a customer service representative.. NOT ONE! None of the options allowed me to return to the main menu, either, so each dead end required that I hang up and start over.
Several times I also tried entering "0" for a live person as most other companies allow, only to get the following message: "We're sorry you're having difficulties. Goodbye [click]" What idiot thought that one up??? WHEN A CUSTOMER IS HAVING DIFFICULTIES YOU SHOULD NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER SAY GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unless your goal is to say goodbye to a customer forever! In fact, if I didn't have a fairly substantial prepaid balance to protect, that definitely would have been the end of my 12-year relationship with Verizon.
I also tried calling other numbers listed on the so-called "support" section of your website, which were accompanied by  the words "We have Customer Service Representatives that can help with your account, plan and bill questions." That is a lie. These numbers directed me into the same dead-end phone maze described above with the same disastrous results.
I then called my local Verizon store, and on the first try I got sucked back into the same dead-end phone maze as before. I tried my local store a second time, selecting the "sales" option. That got me to a local person, but she couldn't deal with my problem. She gave me two other toll-free numbers to try. The first one sent me back into the same dead-end maze, while the second one was no longer in service.
In desperation, I joined this forum. In one thread I found the number to the "porting" department, which took me to a live person almost immediately. They in turn transferred me so a customer service rep who was able to solve my problem in five minutes. But my total time invested was closer to two hours. That is unacceptable!
Last year I had similar difficulties, but was finally able to connect with someone after about 30 minutes of trying. This time it took two  hours, clearly indicating that Verizon customer service has gone from bad to horrific in less than 12 months.
So by this post I'm putting your company on notice. The next time I need help, if I don't get it on the first or second try, I will end my 12-year relationship with your company that very day. I will also post my experience on Facebook and every other public forum I can find. That's a promise. So fix your dysfunctional phone maze if your want to keep me as a customer.

  • How can I send an e-mail to Apple Customer Service?

Does anybody know how I can reach Apple Customer Service via e-mail?
Since they repeatedly delete the questions I post to this discussion platform, maybe I can communicate with them via e-mail.
If you are one of the Apple customer service people who are screening and deleting my posts, could you kindly send me an e-mail instead so we can start a communication.
Any help/hints would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Unfortunately, that email address is not Customer Service; it is for problems relating to your Apple Support Community account only and will therefore most likely not have the desired results.
Apple has not published an email address for customer service; the best way to contact them for that would be at their corporate address in Cupertino:

  • ATTN: Customer Service - Question Concerning My Contract Expiration Date

    Hi,
My phone broke last month, a little over a month before I thought that my contract was due to expire.  The port that charges the phone stopped working.  I was led to believe that my contract would be expiring with Verizon today, so I paid my bill last month and waited.  I thought I would be able to cancel my service today, pay my final bill this month and my contract would be fulfilled, at which point I planned to amicably part ways with Verizon and switch to a company that can better suit my needs. When I just accessed my account, I notice that it says that I am due for an upgrade today, but that my contract doesn't expire until October.  Why is that?  Please help me figure out what is going on and what I need to do to close out my plan without accruing extraneous charges.
I first tried to contact your customer service via the "Chat Now" function, but all of you agents have been busy for over 2 hours now.   It is very important to me that I get this sorted out today so that I do not roll over into another month of service that I don't want and can't use.
Thank you in advance for you assistance.  I really appreciate it!

I'm not customer service, just another customer like you, but I hope I can help.  Your upgrade eligibility and contract end date are not the same (though that is changing).  You can upgrade at the 20 month point in your 24 month contract, which is why you can UPGRADE today, but your contract doesn't end till October.
If you are planning to leave Verizon, you  can do so in October with no ETF; today you will pay an ETF based on 20 months of completed service, roughly $80 for a basic phone or $160 for a smartphone.
Your wisest course would be to see if a friend has an old Verizon phone that you could borrow and activate until your contract is up.

  • Re: APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM PAYPAL - COMPLAINTS TOTALLY IGNORED!!

There is no customer service at Paypal. From July 10, 2015 to Juky 13, 2015 I tried to move money from my Paypal account to my Paypal Debit MasterCard on my online Paypal site. It simply does not work. The money was sent on Thursday night, July 9, 2015. I tried to put it on my card from around 10 am till about 5:00pm on July 10. Each time I went through the process to link the two accounts I received this message: "An unknown service error occurred. On Monday, July 13, 2015, I tried again and the same thing occurred. After calling customer service about fice (5) times i finally got a person who was a native English speaker. This is only important because the technology and number of times that one is told to hold on for a moment makes trying to talk to someone that you cannot understand doubly frustrating. Whenever I did get someone on the phone I could not hear them and they could not hear me. It was like we were using a phone system from the 1920's. The volume was intermittent at best and like talking on string with cans at worst. On the last call I spoke to 2 men. The first guy talked to me for a while as we both screamed "Can you hear me? Can you hear me? What did you say?" Finally he said he was going to connect me with someone who could help, but he never came back. An automaton with a woman's voice came on the line and asked question after question but I could hardly hear her. But I held on the line. Finally a man with a foreign European accent came on the line and we played the same "I can't hear you" game for about 20 to 30 minutes. Whenever he talked, I could hear his voice, but I could not understand a word he was saying. I begged him to simply hang up and call me back so that the lines would not be hampered by so many connections. I think the many connections and data one has to enter to speak to a person is what reduced the volume. So Paypal has my money and I can't get it. And whatever I do to get my money is blocked or digitally and electronically frozen to stop me in my tracks. And all of the five to seven people that I have talked to at PayPal and PayPal Debit MasterCard are too busy to help me get my money. Public please beware of this company.
