    Hi,
The sapnotes 216703 seems to solve your problem.
    Solution
Use a newer R3trans. The following versions are available on the service
machines. What is common to all of them is that they are registered with a date
    as of 21.04.00 (or later).
    1. 45B: This is R3trans version 6.05 (release 45B - 21.04.00 - 23:53:00).
    2. 46B: This is R3trans version 6.05 (release 46B - 21.04.00 - 23:53:00).
    Hopes it will help you.
    Thanks,
    Sriram Ponna.

I believe there is some configuration issue and these accounts are setup incorrectly. Please advice....
    thanks!!

  • SMB Authorization Failure

I'm seeing lots of SMB Authorization Failure events being reported to MARS from IPS signature 5606/0. I strongly suspect that these events are false but I don't know a lot about SMB. The Event Type Details in MARS states "This signature detects when three or more consecutive failed Windows NT (or Samba) user authentication within a single SMB session..." However, the Event Count parameter of 5606/0 is set to the default of 1. Should this be bumped up to 3 or am I smoking dope? Should I be looking at other areas of the signature definition?
    Any help would be appreciated.
    -Frank

    Frank,
The documenation wasn't updated when we updated the SMB engine, so its not working on the "three strikes" principal. The current functionality is to alarm on the first instance and then go into summary mode. You can have it alarm after 3 instances by bumping the event count to 3. You can cut down some of the noise by adjusting that value.
Additionally, the event tracking key is currently AaBb, which means that it will track the events on a full Quad (Src IP/port & Dst IP/port). In this case the Dst IP/port are always the same (your server), so if an attacker uses a tool that uses the same port over and over, you'll only get the one alarm then summaries later. If its parallel in its operation and uses multiple ports, you'll get an alarm per SrcIP/port. Generally I'd keep the summarization key in step with the event key for this signature. I'm not suggesting that it needs to change or anything, just letting you know what it does.
Generally this alarm will fire every time someone fat fingers their window's password or attempts to access a protected share that they don't have permissions on. I will recommend this signature to the signature team for a review of its settings in a future update.

P.S. It's a SCVMM 2012 R2 U1. The SQL script mentioned in the Rollup's page was also run as instructed.
    Eran.

The key error is here: Unable to connect to the VMM database because of a general database failure.
Ensure that the SQL Server is running and configured correctly, then try the operation again
Have you verified SQL connectivity, database connectivity, the user account used to connect, the SCVMM computer account used to connect, etc?

  • ODS activation failures after new hardware installation..urgent

    Hi All,
I am working in PRD.There are 10 process chains which i need to monitor daily.Daily ODS activation fails in 4 of the 10 chains. The error message for two of the failures are,
Task 0040 during SID specification without confirmation
and for another process it is showing "DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR" error.
manually I am doing steps and the activation is successful. These type of errors we are getting after the new hardware installation.
Could anyone let me know are there any patches to be applied inorder to avoid such type of errors.
Please advice me what to do.
    Thanks,
    Manjula

What is the patch your currently on at the moment.
It could also be some of the settings in RZ11 have been changed. You need to work with your basis people to resolve this.
DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR is a common problem and usually due to not enough processor's available and the database gettings into a knot.
Check SM21 and ST22 for the more information on the issue.

  • Windows 7 Authentication failure and Network Filestore mapping problem with smb 3.0

    Hi All,
We have recently configured smb 3.0(Windows Server 2012 R2) as our network file share.
Few users who are using Windows 7 were not able to see this drive in their network location or their Authentication is getting failed.
Can any one help me how to solve this Window 7 smb 2.1 communication with smb 3.0.
    Thanks
    Santosh

    Hi Santosh,
Above all we have an FAQ article for SMB related issues. Please refer to:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/7bd9978c-69b4-42bf-90cd-fc7541ccb663/forum-faq-troubleshooting-network-file-copy-slowness?forum=winserverPN
Specifically, please test the step 2.2.2 to 2.2.5 to see if it could help get the issue fixed.
Start from 2.2.2. Here are detailed steps:
2.2.2 Disable the TCP Chimney Offload, Receive Side Scaling, or Network Direct Memory Access features
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/951037?wa=wsignin1.0
    Disable TCP Chimney Offload
netsh int tcp set global chimney=disabled
    Disable  Receive Side Scaling
netsh int tcp set global rss=disabled
To enable or disable NetDMA, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate the following registry subkey, and then click it:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters
    Double-click the EnableTCPA registry entry.
Note: If this registry entry does not exist, right-click Parameters, point to New, click DWORD Value, type EnableTCPA, and then press ENTER.
To enable NetDMA, type 1 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
To disable NetDMA, type 0 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
If the EnableTCPA registry entry does not exist, enable the NetDMA functionality.

  • How to disable smb network drive failure to connect warning

    Hey,
we have a number of users using os x machines to connect on our domain, all of them have network drives configured via connect to server option smb://etc/etc
When the user is docked into the network they login just fine, obviously if they are no on the network the drive will not connect and during login they get a pop up saying connection to server failed etc etc.
Is there a way to disable this pop up ? had a number of cases this message will pop up and cause issues with login or just fail.
I do not want to demap it , I just want the message to go away as these users are highly mobile, on off the network multiple times a day.
Or is there a better way to map this drive/server ?
    Thanks

Thanks, but why would backuping a USB drive work and not a network drive ? I don't see much difference but maybe I'm missing something.
Is there a plan to implement that feature ? I mean Apple is offering the capability of plugging external drives into the time capsule and airport extreme, so why aren't these included in the overall scheme of backing up ? Sounds weird to me.
Also, could you please point some "hack out there" cause I didn't find any.
    Thanks!

  • Please HELP!!! URGENT!!! Connection failure with 407 ALL my DUKE $$$$$$$$$

    Hi,
    problem:
    ========
I have to give a demo of this program next week, I am trying to solve this F***ing problem since last week and can not figure it out....
I am running my program and tomcat on Computer#1 and trying to run that program from computer#2 and getting
    java.io.IOException: Connection failure with 407...
    Brief Intro:
    ============
I am hard coding my computer1 ip address.
If i run my program in the computer#1 i works fine...
But i am trying to run the program from computer#2 and getting the following error.
There is nothing wrong with the null pointer....I am definitely sure about this....
I can access the Servlet directly from the computer#2 by just using a browser.
for example my Computer#1's IP is 10.121.121.21.
i can access the tomcat by http:10.121.121.21:8080 from computer#2
I think the problem is with the security (java.io.IOException: Connection failure with 407)...
Also i know that 407 means proxy server, but we do have proxy server but i am not going through
    the proxy server...
    Solution:
    =========
If anyone who can solve this i am going to give them all the duke $$$$$...
    Thanks in advance....

    Hy,
this code is similar to 401 (Unauthorized), but indicates that the client must first authenticate itself with the proxy.
This HTTP code is documented in the RFC 2616 and RFC 2617.

Currenly on r/3 side , pacthing exercise is going on.Is there any impact due to this on BW end.
Please suggest me how to go about this as it is very urgent issue.
    Many Thanks,
    Manjula

    Hi,
Have you tried to extraction at RSA3?
if you get the same error message then seek SAP HR Team help.
Seems like there is some issue about Mentioned PERNR and payroll assignment.
HR Team can explain about it.
if possible try run info pack with other PERNR selection and see. it may pulls data.
    Thanks
