Usage warning emails

Have BT changed the criteria as I have now received two emails - one for exceeding 6gb and now one for exceeding 8gb.

I was checking the usage monitor this morning and there was a message that an email had been sent yesterday because I had exceeded 6GB. I have yet to receive the email.

    The receiving email ports are:
    IMAP is port 143
    IMAP-SSL is port 993
    POP is port 110
    POP-SSL is port 995
    Outgoing ports are...
SMTP and SMTP-SSL is on ports 25, 587 and 465. Port 587 has to be SSL, and port 465 is enforced TLS-wrapped and is generally used by Outlook users.

Whatever the reasons are that you think the problem exists, you will not be able to resolve it on your own. Did you see this at the bottom of the support article that I suggested that you read?
    Additional Information
If the issue persists, you can visit iCloud Support, iTunes Support, Apple Print Products, or contact AppleCare for further assistance.
You should probably contact iTunes Support.

  • Warning Email gets triggered before it reaches threshold.

    Hi
In our scenario the total size allotted to site collection is 30600 MB and warning email is  configured  to trigger  when size exceeds 29000 MB, however mail  gets triggered before it reaches the threshold. Can you help me in this  regard?
Also I can see total size around 34000 MB in storman.aspx page.?
    Please suggest.

You said in store man it is 34000 MB but your site quota is 30600 MB. their is some wrong with the site collections.
Could you please check from central admin as Nikhal Mentioned the link his email " http://<centraladmin_url>/_admin/sitequota.aspx"

How do I confirm a warning email is from apple?

What does the email say ? If it's saying something like your account will be frozen or suspended if you don't confirm your details, and/or it's not personalised (eg. 'dear client' or 'customer') and has poor English, then it's a phishing attempt to try and get your account and payment details - in which case you could forward the email to Apple : [email protected]

  • Exchange 2013 SP1 users not receiving quota warning email message

    Hi,
We are on Exchange 2013 SP1 and Exchange 2010 SP3 co-existence mode and currently migrating users from Exchange 2010 to 2013.  We have noticed that users are not receiving email message when their mailbox quota warning when its near to maximum limit.
If I log in via OWA it shows the notification (Pop up) that your mailbox is almost full but no message received in email.  Most of the users do not log into OWA but only uses Outlook.
It looks like other people are also seeing this similar issue but I am unable to find any solution for it.
How users will know if their mailbox is almost full if they are traveling and only using Mobile phone for emails to send and receive.
    Thanks,
    Raman

Fair Usage Policy: your speed may be restricted
    at peak times
    Dear Customer,
We thought you'd like to know that your broadband usage in March is now above 240GB.
In accordance with our Fair Usage Policy, and to protect the online experience of all our customers, if your monthly broadband usage goes over 300GB, we'll restrict your broadband speed at peak times (typically this is between 5pm and 12am, but these times may change depending on the demands on the network) to 2Mbps for 30 days.
Please note: your service won't be affected in any other way - we'll restrict only your speed, not the amount you can upload and download.
We'll email you again to let you know if your usage exceeds 300GB.

Until BT officially announce the removal of the FUP your usage will be capped if you go over your contracted limit.
Remember, you agreed on the terms when electronically signing the contract for the service and you are still tied to the FUP until BT lift the cap.

  • Broadband usage - no emails?

Hello all! 1st post here after much trawling and reading of threads so hopefully I've done the right thing by searching the forum first for an answer prior to posting...if my searching was substandard then I apologise in advance...
I've searched the forum a lot over the past few days/weeks and I see that I am one of many that has experienced unrealistically high usage according to BT'S usage monitor.  Notwithstanding the fact that I think it is inaccurate based on my experience with my previous ISP when I had to try really hard to get up to 10GB usage (to get my money's worth ) and I'm now using up way more than this monthly, I have the following questions which I would be grateful for any enlightenment:
My broadband usage monitor has disappeared and I can't find any thread on here or any explanation on the BT site explaining why this has happened (the other thing I see in MyBT is that it's unavailable and that they hope to restore it soon).  I know it was acknowledged to be wrong due to inclusion of YouView figures but is this the reason for the disappearance? Any thoughts on this?
After a livechat conversation this morning I called Consumer Billing - Broadband on 0800 800 150 to try to get some usage figures. Apparently I am at 18.23GB so far this month, following 24.53GB last month.  The PC is virus/trojan free so I just don't fathom it...HOWEVER my issue is that I've never received an email from BT flagging up the heavy usage.  I've checked my BT Internet (Yahoo) email address as well as my email address as supplied to BT but nothing - again, is there any logical reason for this?
We have TV (YouView) from BT and often use the catch up TV service through the set top box but I'm assured by BT that this doesn't count towards usage.  This is how I was sold the service and what I read on the BT site - I am correct here aren't I? (by the way with my previous ISP I often accessed iplayer, sky catch up and never got close to the usage figures given by BT).  Does anyone know whether the above figures would include YouView usage?  I suspect the answer is no (but can only explain it if the answer is yes) but the person in the overseas call centre just pointed me in the direction of the thinkbroadband usage monitor...
Like others, I am a bit lost as to why the usage is so high but feel I have little option other than to upgrade to an unlimited package at higher cost.  Not ideal and I do feel a little unhappy given I (and others) don't believe or understand the usage numbers.
    Thanks,
    Jason

If you do decide to upgrade follow these links.
    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25633&s_cid=con_ppc_m...
They might tell you this deal is for new customers only and that an existing customer has to upgrade via this link
    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=27281
which costs more but I'm sure if you haggle with them and point out that you are a loyal customer and will stay loyal at least for the length of the contract they will do a deal.
You can also contact the options team on this number 0800 800 030 they are UK based which might be a better way so that you can haggle with them to get the best deal.

  • Broadband usage contact email

From the Broadband usage page on My BT I see I've used up over 75% of my 40Gb download allowance and that BT have sent me an email to inform me of that. However the contact email is an old email no longer in use, I can't find anywhere to change it to my current email.
The main email attched to the account is vaild and BT contact me on that regularly for billing etc. I can access that one by 'Edit Account' on My BT.
Anyone know how to change the email BT send the usage notification to?
    Thanks.

    Hi tullyhubbert,
I can sort that for you if you use the 'contact the mods' link in my forum profile to send in your BT account details including the email address where you want the notifications to be sent. You can find the link by clicking on my username.

  • International Usage - WARNING - Outrageously expensive!

I bought a iPhone the day it was released, absolutely love it, and a week later went to Europe. The phone works great over there and so does EDGE, i.e just as slow as here..
Got home, received my first AT&T bill: THEY CHARGED ME $940 FOR INTERNATIONAL DATA ROAMING - TOTAL USAGE WAS 40MB.
I called AT&T and complained - I didn't recall the promo for "unlimited data" clearly excluded international - was told "they happen to have a $24.99/month international data plan for the iPhone with 20MB of data" - no unlimited data plan was available, even though you can get one if you have a 3G card for your laptop.
Also, while international roaming IT WILL COST YOU 50 CENTS PER SMS YOU SEND AND 15 CENTS TO RECEIVE ONE - NO PLAN IS AVAILABLE!
The end of my story was I got 20MB for $24.99 but I had to pay $470 for the other 20MB.......
So if you plan to use your iPhone internationally:
    - Tell everyone not to send you SMS's and don't send one yourself
    - Don't use Google Maps, Safari or Mail, unless in Wi-Fi zone
    - Alternatively get the 20MB plan
I can only conclude current AT&T policies is a total rip-off when it comes to international usage. Maybe it would be cheaper to get an account with the European carrier later this year. AT&T surely needs some competition.

I am sorry to say that I told everyone so (among others who did the same). The iPhone is NOT a good international device. I posted several comments on this. Be aware that it is not just downloading items yourself, Internet use or email/messaging. The iPhone has a serious operational deficiency in that constantly updates the weather, clock and stock Widgits throughout the day. Over a week or two this can add up to hundreds of KB and you have no control over this. (I bet at least 30% of your charges are foir this, Check your datalogs and look for weird data access times such as in the wee hours of the morning).

  • How to remove a data usage alert email address

I receive email alerts when my data usage gets to 75%, 90%, and 100% of usage. How do I remove one of the email addresses these alerts are being sent to (it is not one of my email addresses)?

    Verizon_Dan
I understand your desire to update which email addresses receive the data usage alerts.  I would love to assist.
When you log into your My Verizon account online, you can edit your alert settings (email addresses and phone numbers) within the "Manage My Account" section of your online account.  Under the "Manage My Account" tab on the left, click the "Manage Family Safeguards & Controls" link.  Then, under the "Usage Controls" tab, click "View Details & Edit".  Lastly, under the "Usage Limits" tab you will then be able to edit the email addresses that you want to receive email alerts.  Please let me know how this works out for you.

    Hello binbingogoABC,
Shopping on BestBuy.com should be easy and fun and not fraught with the kind of trouble that you describe. I regret very much that this has been your experience.
Using the information you provided when you signed up for Best Buy Unboxed I was able to locate your cancelled orders. I have requested more information from my back-office partners. As soon as I have additional details about your situation, I will reply again to this message. In the interim, I'm sorry that I must impose upon your patience.

  • What data count is accurate?  My Verizon,  #data or usage text/email alert?

    Hi,
I'm back with Verizon after 2 years with Sprint.   With Sprint the three lines never I had (two iphones and a HTC android phone) never exceeded 2gb so I opted for the 2 Gigabyte data plan with verizon.  Now I have two iphones and one Galaxy S3.  The way the phone are used is about the same....or a little less since now my mom's iphone runs off her wifi when at home.  The other two phones run off my home WiFi, plus I typically work at home.  The 2nd Iphone is my business cell, so its use is primarily for calls and a few emails.
I monitor the usage ever few days using my verizon and the vz website.    Yesterday those counts showed 1.64 total usage.  However I received text messages and emails last night saying I used 90% of my limit.   This morning I went jogging (and used Pandora).  I received another text/email saying I had gone over my data usage.  I immediately checked the verizon app and website, and I was not over.  There are just two days left in the billing cycle.  I checked the my verizon app, my verizon website and #data just now.  They all show 1.78, which seems accurate.  Also online the last activity logged was less than an hour ago and included data from my jog earlier.
So, how do I know if I'm really over.....or just being suckered into upgrading.? Is the text/email alert accurate? I've read several posts on this forum and others suggesting #data and the vz website are accurate and the texts are bogus.  Others claim my verizon show no overage but their bill does.
Any helpful responses will be appreciated!

I can understand the frustration of receiving different information about your data usage Gibb13. We appreciate you doing your part to monitor the usage and we can definitely help with the accurate amount. By dialing #Data on your mobile device, you will see the entire amount of shared data used on your account. The amounts you are viewing on your individual phone may be from your line only. You will need the entire amount used by all your lines which are higher than your individual usage. You should also get this information on via My-Verizon. We can also confirm the amount used if you contact us by dialing *611 or 1-800-922-0204. You can also send us a private message here with your name and number and we can call you to discuss the usage and help with changing your plan. Here is a list of current plans so that you can prevent overages on your bill http://bit.ly/xdDajD .

    WRONG!
BIS and BES are different, but both can be accessed either via carrier data network or WiFi. If you want to know the potential impact on your data usage, you must talk to your carrier about how each would impact your service plan.

  • Usage warning for first day of month

Oh dear, I get the following warning for the first day of the month.
"You are within your June usage allowance but are likely to go over before the end of the month."
This after  0.45Gb use the first day.
My normal usage for nearly 2 years has been around 1.5Gb a month, except for May when I used 2.47Gb most of which was in the last 3 days of the month,  the reason why.... I bought a new computer and with all the updates it down loaded it pushed the usage up, hopefully now the updates will have completed.
Could anyone tell me if this is the case or am I in for more nasty surprises as the days pass. (new computer purchased 29/5/12) by the way I am now using wired instead of wireless I shouldn't think that would make any difference though!!!
    Thanks Patty-L

Actually, the BTVision element should never show on the online usage monitor. It will of course show on the hub usage.
This is, in my view, one of the reasons why the usage monitor is done daily in arrears, to exclude the relevant items such as vision and bbtalk.
