Use of cash journal
Hi,
I want to configure cash journal in my organisation but the problem is that service tax is paid in cash. Is it possble that both purpose can be met through cash journal.
Regards,
SAP-FI
Hi:
Use of FBCJ can cater all of your cash related inflows and outflows by creating required business transactions with appropriate account assignments.
To do so create a cash journal in FBCJ0 and assign GL account for cash in hand along with document type
Create number ranges for cash journal in FBCJC1 and FBN1 and business transactions in FBCJC2 with account types and GL accounts. e.g for service tax use business transaction B and assign its GL account with an appropriate name to it. Maintain print parameter for it in FBCJC3.
I hope it will help you.

Using of cash journal for advance payment to vendor or from customer.
using of cash journal for advance payment to vendor or from customer.please give advice?
Hi,
Set up a new transaction for "Advance Payment to Vendor" in Cash Journal IMG. The menu path in IMG is Financial Acct --> Bank Accounting --> Business transction --> Cash Journal --> Create, Change, Delete Business Transactions. Transaction Code for this configuraiton activity is FBCJC2.
Enter Company Code, Business Transaction Type as "K" and Cash Journal Business Transaction as "Advance Payment to Vendor". This will work if you are paying to Vendor from Petty Cash.
Check Receipt from Customer is supported if you take it in Cash Journal and then later deposit to Bank. But check payment to Vendor should be handled trhough either automatic payment program or outgoing payment transaction.
Hope this helps,

Different no range/doc. type for cash journal incoming/outgoing payment
Hi all,
I am going to set up cash journal for a customer and they want separate number range for incoming and outgoing payments.
I have read on this forum and actually don´t understand if that´s possible.
If I set up two different cash journals (one for outgoing payments and one for incoming payments) the problem is that I can call all transaction type (C, B, R, E, set in transaction FBCJC2) from both. I have a cash journal for outgoing payments where I have set a separate document type and number range for G/L accounts in transaction FBCJC0 and the same for vendor outgoing payment and customer outgoing payment, but no document type for incoming payments from vendor/customer.
When I then start to use this cash journal for outgoing payments I can´t make outgoing payments if I don´t have any money in my cash journal. Then I have to take money from my housebank by business transaction type C (receipt from bank) set in transaction FBCJC2. This becomes an incoming payment, but I got the same number range as for outgoing payments because I am in that cash journal and that number range is set per G/L account transaction per cash journal. .
How can I come around this problem?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards LisaHi Pravin,
Sorry for late answer. I created three document types, one for customer, one for vendor and a third for G/L postings. It was not possible to do in another way, sorry.
Best regards Lisa -

Cash Journal and Special GL Indicator
Hi All,
When I paid cash through cash journal under advance against expenses it does not ask me any special GL indiacator. So in report FK10n under special GL it does not show anything . However when I make entry through F-02 with posting Key 29 and with special GL indicator for entries related to Advance against expenses it does show in FK10N . So what should I do in cash journal so that it shows report in FK10n under special GL.
Thnkashi
As mentioned many times, Special GL is can not be used in cash Journal. Here is a work around.
1. Create a business transaction - Advances to Vendor with entries: Dr. A/p-vendor Cr. Cash
2. Normally, the first step is the set up of Advances in FB60. Dr. Advances to Vendor Cr. A/P-vendor
3. Lastly clear the transaction using F-04. entry would be Dr. A/P - Vendor Cr. A/P-vendor.
4. As you can see, Advances is still an open item. To clear the advances, Dr. Expense/Asset Cr. Advances to Vendor.
If you check FBL1N, no item should be left open with regards to this transaction. I hope it clarifies the issue

Cash Journal Branch creation concept
Dear Friends,
Can any one please explain about the Petty cash in sap.
I did the set up in petty cash like creation of Branch account.
Please help me to understand the actual concept of petty cash in sap. how its works in the system.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
MahendraHi,
Concept of Cash Journal:
You can use the cash journal to manage cash transactions in your company. You can post cash receipts and cash payments, print receipts, and print out a cash journal. The cash journal in the R/3 System is a subsidiary ledger, which contains documents that are transferred from the cash journal to the general ledger in SAP FI. A cash journal is kept in one currency.
The cash journal does not include functions for accepting and depositing checks.
Each cash journal is assigned a G/L account to which the documents in the general ledger are posted.
When a posting is made to a cash journal, the documents with the following document types are posted:
Business transaction Document Type
G/L account postings AB
Vendor: incoming/outgoing payments KZ
Customer: incoming/outgoing payments DZ
You can create your own business transactions that have to be posted. In the cash journal transaction FBCJ, you can create, change, and delete business transactions.
We can provide the following business transactions for cash journal accounting:
Business transaction type
E = Expenses
D = Customer posting
K = Vendor posting
B = Payment to ICBC bank account
B = Payment to BOC bank account
C = Payment from bank account
C = Payment to bank account
R = Revenue
Cash Journal Configuration steps:
1. Create GL Account for Cash Journal (Post Automatically): FS00 or FS01
2. Amount Limit: Path: IMG/FA/Bank Accounting/Business Transactions/Cash Journal
3. Define Document Types for Cash Journal Documents - Tcode: OBA7
4. Define No. Range Intervals for Cash Journal Documents- CJC1
5. Set up Cash Journal - Tcode: CJC0
6. Create, Change, Delete Business Transactions - Tcode: CJC2
7. Set up Print Parameters for Cash Journal - CJC3
8. Cash Journal Posting : FBCJ
Hope this helps you,

Cash restrict righths to see cash journal of other user
Hi sirs,
Could you help me to restrict rights person which is responsible for one cash journal to see and enter in other cash journal for which has different responsible person?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
DaniHi
In T-code FBCJC0, create a authorisation group for each cash journal.
This authorisation group will be given to number of specific users giving the rigjts like display and doing the transactions.
In Authorisation object F_FBCJ the user will then need that group to see/use the cash journal.
Basis person will help you in this regard
With regards

Hi,
While i am try to delete Cash Journal system throws me error (Message No.:FCJ065: Numbering group 1001 can be used only for one Co. Code and Cash Journal). Kindly provide me solution on that.
Regards,
TarakHi Tarak,
You can use the config nodes in SPRO to set up number ranges for your cash journal documents.
IMG Path> FI Global Settings>Bank Accounting>Business transactions>Cash Journal
Define Number Range Intervals for cash Journal documents
Define Numbering Groups
Define Number Ranges for numbering groups
After defining the number group here, you assign that in "Set up Cash Journal" Check if there is any clash anywhere in your configuration for different cash Journals.

Automating Cash Journal Posting using inbound proxy interface and upload program
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement where in cash journal posting needs to be carried out automatically by an inbound interface on a periodic basis and at the start during cut over an upload program needs to be used to upload beg balance data . For this purpose I have used BAPI_CASHJOURNALDOC_CREATE to save cash journal entries along with BAPI TRANSACTION COMMIT.
Once the Data is successfully saved I am using FM FCJ_GET_DATA_FOR_SCREEN to get prerequisite data for the FM FCJ_POST_ALL which is used by the Standard cash journal program internally to post the saved data. ( I got this by debugging the standard transaction and both FMs are not yet released )
The issues I am facing is that the the FM FCJ_POST_ALL does not always post the data it behaves in random fashion i.e some times it posts the entries where as sometimes it does not post the entries.
I have tried using commit work after the FM but that also does not result in consistent behavior of the program. One more issue is the i am not allowed to use commit work in a an inbound proxy so how do i proceed ?
I am attaching the code for further analysis:

Numbering Group G1 can be used only for one CoCd and cash journal number
Hello,
I was trying to create a cash journal when I got the error message:
"Numbering Group G1 can be used only for one CoCd and cash journal number".
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
Thank you,
BolaHi,
Please check whether more than one number range is maintained in transaction code FBCJC1. If yes, please keep only one as Cash Journal has only one number range. This is the internal number range for Cash Journal.
If you want different number range for accounting documents then create new document types and assign number ranges to it.

Cash Journal using business transaction
Hi
Can I create two cash journal with one Petty cash account. The purpose is I want to give authorisation for entering cash journal , these person will use only one business transaction & would like to create another cash journal with same GL account, but in this cash journal I will give only one business transaction so that they cannot enter anything else in this.
regards
JimmyHi
Without the business transaction, you can't post the docuemnt in FBCJ
Business Transaction:
Cash payments, recd from customer, payment to vendor, expenses, deposit in bank, cash drawn from bank etc... are called business transactions
These are to be created in customising

Dear Guru's,
We need to develop a function module to display cash journal opening balance line item entries and closing balance of specific period.
we have found document entries through table TCJ_DOCUMENTS or TCJ_POSITIONS now require help to generate opening and closing balances.
Please help for the solution.
AARHi,
check FM FCJ_GET_DATA_FOR_SCREEN. Next time you can try to figure out by yourself. The program for transaction FBCJ is not that complicated and you can easily find this FM used there.

When I print cash journal it does not display Cash Journalwise Opening and Closing Balances. It displays the Op. and Clg. Balances for the entire Company Code. How we can see the balances for each Cash Journal.
Hi,
At tr.code FBCJC3 you can set up the printing program for each company code. It's better to use print.program RFCASH20 without a variant.
If you find the answer useful, please assign reward points.

Svetlin
