running ciscoworks 3.2 on Windows 2008 SP2 - installed apps are:

When I run a quick report in Campus Manager (User Tracking > Reports) I get the following error appearing in a window:
Application error: URN_NOT_FOUND : urn "ogs_server_urn" : Not found !!.
Acquisition is working fine – on completion it states how many new hosts have been discovered but I get the above error when I try running a report.
Reloaded server but problem persists. I’ve attached the output of pdshow and the cmapps log - any advice/guidance appreciated.

From which directory did you get this ctm_config.txt? I need to see the ones under NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/campus/WEB-INF/lib and NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cmapps/WEB-INF/lib.
Since this is LMS 2.6, I also need to see the output of the pdshow command.

User profile application errors

I am having some problems with my user profile. I have tried repairing the disk and disk permissions from the 10.6 DVD, but still continue to have issues. My user account has random errors when trying to user certain applications. For example Onyx gives me constant errors and won't let me do anything and Boxee crashes before it will even open. If I create a new user both of these applications work fine. This computer was upgraded from 10.5 to 10.6. Is there anything I can check/do aside from rebuild my profile? I can Time Machine everything and rebuild a new profile manually from that, but would prefer to fix this one if possible. Any ideas?

No profiles here (that's a windoze thingy), they're accounts on a Mac. What issues using Disk Utility from the DVD? BTW, permission repair should be done from the boot volume, not install disc. What kind of Onyx errors? Why are you using it? If apps work in one account and not another, that usually indicates a conflict or corruption, usually amongst or in preference (plist) files. You don't rebuild accounts in OS X, you fix problems. More details and maybe we can offer some advice.

Other users get application errors.

I am having an odd problem with my mac.
I have an admin account which I installed all of my programs (in the applications folder) and I can use them just fine.
But when I switch to a different user on that computer most of the applications ask me to enter in the serial key (they were registered from the admin computer) I have all my keys so its not a huge deal but do I really have to re enter all of my serial keys again for different users?
I should also note that I tried turning the other users into admins and they still get asked for a serial.

This probably depends on where each individual software program records the serial number after you've entered it. Theoretically a well written program would record the serial number in a "global" location so that when other users ran the program from their accounts the program could find it.
However, it sounds like the programs you're dealing with may record the serial number somewhere in the user's home folder. So, when you run the program as user "A" and enter the serial number it gets recorded in user "A's" home folder. Then when you run the program as user "B" it looks for the serial number in user "B's" home folder, can't find it and asks for it again. In this case it really doesn't matter whether the users are admins or not.
There may be a valid reason for your programs to do it this way, or it could just be slightly sloppy programming.
User specific preferences ought to go in their home directories, so each user can have their own separate prefs. But I would think a serial number or registration key should normally go into a global location. You'll probably just have to register the programs for each user (or you could try contacting the software vendors to see if there's a way around this).

I assume at least one of the ctm_config.txt files became corrupted.
have a look at the file ctm_config.txt in both these locations:
    NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/campus/WEB-INFlib
    NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cmapps/WEB-INF/lib
and compare the content to the clean files Joe posted in this thread:

Note: the parameter DYNAMIC_PORT_ALLOCATION=0 can be added to both files;
If your files (or at least one) are different, then stop the daemon manager. When services are stopped, replace the corrupted file with the one Joe posted. Also move the ctmregistry and ctmregistry.backup files in these directories to a location outside NMSROOT (like C:\Windos\tmp)
Restart the daemon manager.
If everything is working you can remove the ctmregistry and ctmregisry.backup files you previously moved to C:\Windows\tmp

LMS 4.2 User Tracking for Avaya IP Handsets and Connected Devices

I manage an environment that makes extensive use of Avaya IP phones and it's frustrating that this seems to limit the usefulness of the User Tracking application within LMS.
We configure the switch (2960) ports connected to the handsets as dot1q trunks with the associated PC being connected to the switch built into the phone.
Having done some forum research it seems that UT only adds an entry for a device connected on a trunk port if it is a Cisco IP phone, not anything else. This is frustrating as it eliminates a large part of our network from being recorded in UT and is doubley frustrating since the PC connected to the switch on the phone also isn't recorded.
Is there any way to get around this problem that anybody is aware of? Thanks

As long as you have a supported Cisco Layer 3 device in your LMS-management domain, you should be able to correlate the IP-MAC addresses in User Tracking (UT).
UT support is not specifically listed for the ASA firewall - I'm not sure it will support that feature if it is the users' gateway.

How to realise a point track application with user-defined original point?

I am developing a simple point track application, it is not the same as the traditional mouse cursor tracking problem and i get really confused.
there are two pictures to describe my application：
the first one descirbes the default state of my application：
1.red circle is the point that user can move;
2.white cross is the original point;
3.blue circle is the range of red circle motion
the second one describes the track process of my application：
1.user can move the red circle with a click of mouse button in any place within blue circle;
2.application should show coordinates of red circle relative to white circle in real time;
3.once user release the red circle(or the button of mouse), the application should return to its default state.
I realy do not know how to realise the key parts of this application, like showing a circle in panel and connecting the points within it to the labview code? can anybody give me some suggestions? thanks a lot

Attached is a very rough implementation of what you're looking for. Add a "draw (white) line" after the "draw circle" function to make the crosshairs persist when the circle is near the center. Prob want to delete the crosshairs from the blue circle picture (currently contained in a constant) to avoid drawing them twice and them not quite lining up. All of the constants are empirically determined and need slight adjustments (e.g. centering of the red circle when mouse is up, etc.). They will need further adjustment if you resize the blue circle picture.
Not sure what you mean by connecting the points within the LV code. I suspect you're using the eyeball to drive an XY stage or such and need to use the red circle coordinates to moderate the travel speed?

Error assigning users to application Role in Obiee 11.1.1.7.0

I installed Obiee 11.1.1.7.0 both on Windows and Linux platform and after that, I successfully set Active Directory integration. I have a problem assigning users to Application Role in EM. When I'm trying to search a user on Display name, the Principal userName returned is blank and the error is : Java Null Pointer Exception
After that I install a fresh copy of 11.1.6.0. After AD Integration, I was able to assign users to Application Role. I made 11.1.1.7.0 upgrade and same error has come. I think this is a bug because same AD settings on 11.1.1.6.0 works.

We received from Oracle a work-around of this problem.
It seems to be related to the virtualize flag set to true. I f you set it to false the problem disappear (it works for me).

There's an open BUG on this problem: Bug 16808088 - 11G JAVA.LANG.NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION ADDING USER TO ROLE AFTER UPGRADE TO 11.1.1.7.

User Profile Application AD Error

Hi ,
I have created a user profile application and created a Ad connection and started profile synchronisation.I want to import the profile pictures in AD with profile pictures of Sharepoint Mysite.
In Order to do that i need to map the thumbnail attribute of AD with Mysite Picture property.
Firstly i am not able to edit the properties as shown below. There is not option to edit
Secondly i am getting folowing error in other user profile i created
Can anybody please let me know, why is it behaving this way and what can be done about it.

Hi Rahul,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to import user photos from AD into SharePoint 2013.
Firstly, make sure the account is the farm account.
Then go to Manage User Properties in User profile service application, and find
Picture property and edit it. Scroll down to the Add New Mapping section. Choose your AD data connection, select the thumbnailPhoto attribute and click Add, then click OK to save the change.
Finally, run the Update-SPProfilePhotoStore PowerShell command.

Upon exiting LV7: Application Error-Memory could not be read.

Upon terminating my application, I get the following error:
"LavVIEW: LabVIEW.exe - Application Error
The instruction at referenced memory at . The memory could not be 'read'."
So far the error seems non-critical. It does not appear to affect the performance of the program in any way. However, it is certainly unnerving for my end users (not to mention me)!
The error occurs in both the executable and the debugging mode. I have traced it to the VERY END of my application, which runs flawlessly until the very moment when I use the Exit instruction. I have also tried using Close FP with Abort VI, as well as Close FP with Exit. All threads in my application have successful
ly terminated, so aborting does not stop any action in mid-execution, as far as I am aware.
Searching for others in the forum who have had similar problems has turned up little useful help. Could this be a bug in the (god forbid!) runtime engine?!

To h
elp track it down, if you can build a debugging version of the
Delphi DLLs, especially something that will validate memory references.
One of the great tools for tracking down memory overwrites is a well
implemented debugging memory library. Also, if you have some notion of
DLL calls that write to the string and return it to LV, that would be
the first place to look. And in the end, the solution is usually to
look at the assumption of the DLL and send in a larger preallocated
string. So in some cases it is easiest to look for the strings and
arrays going into DLL node calls and one at a time give them large input
sizes looking for the closing crash to go away. Then when the symptom
goes away, look at the code for that DLL.

User tracking not finding any hosts in Ciscoworks LMS 3.1

Our test-configuration is as follows:
Application versions:
Ciscoworks LMS 3.1
Ciscoworks Common Services 3.2.0
Campus Manager 5.1.4
We have 31 managed devices in Campus Manager (data has been collected on all),
Edit: All of them show up green in the topology window.
The device are: 2 6509 cores (running IOS s72033_rp-IPSERVICESK9_WAN-M version 12.2(18)SXF8), 1 ASA firewall (running ASA-OS version 8.0.5) and 29 switches (2960 and 3560 models both running ios version 12.2(52)SE). The switches are connected as follows:
User tracking jobs are running normally, but aren't finding any end-hosts or IP phones at all (I suspect around 250-500 hosts+ on these switches)
We are running SNMP v3 on the switches and have added the following configuration items to all the switches:
snmp-server group readonly v3 auth context vlan-1
<repeat for all present snmp-contexts as shown in show snmp context output>
snmp-server group readonly v3 auth context vlan-83
Debugging is enabled in CM->Admin->Debugging Options->User Tracking Server

I'm slowly getting to a dead end here. What am I missing?

Well, our problem was resolved finally through a weird coincendence after having a websession with a Cisco TAC engineer (TAC case SR 613376661)
We changed the
snmp-server group readonly v3 auth context vlan-xxxx
commands in the switches to:
snmp-server group writeonly v3 auth context vlan-xxxx
that is: use the writestring in the snmp-server groups instead of the read string.
After we changed that, all of the User Tracking mysteriously started working.
As far as I know, the writestring should not be needed, but apparently it is....
Is there any explanation for this?

Application error: not able to read memory

even though i have just re-installed the latest version of iTunes, i get an error message like this one whenever i try to import a CD:
iTunes.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x00bd6fd87" referenced memory at "0x80fe5372". the memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
any ideas how to fix this??

ECO Error : An application error occurred

Hi Exparts,
     We are implementing SAP E-Commerce for mySAP ERP or SAP R/3, release 5.0.
We have installed the ECO on a ECC 6 server.
We want to connect it to a separate R/3 backend which is SAP v4.7 . It has :
     SAP_APPL     470     patch level 25
     PI     2004_1_470     patch level 14
I have created the JCO in XCM pointing to SAP R/3 system, and the JCO u2018testu2019 is successful.
I have created a catalog and a webshop in my R/3 system, and Iu2019m able to display it in my B2B application.
Now comes the problem. When ever I try to create a Shopping Busket, Iu2019m getting the erroru2026

I have tried for a Session Tracking. I can see this error:
