Using alternative accounts to payments on F110

We are posting with alternative reconciliation account to post invoices for asset fixed acquisition with vendors because vendors are ocacional vendors of asset fixed. On payment with F110 transaction we need use diferents accounts on posting payment depends on the account post on the invoice.
Sap tell us that the system use for all postings the account of the reconciliation account onvendor master and never use the alternative account used on the document.
Do you know solutions of this problem?
Thaks on advance.
Roberto Lena

Hi Roberto,
The account used in the payment run is based on Housbank- Payment method , currency, Account ID
When you assign these vendors to an other combination you can have an other clearing account.

  • Alternative Account number - using as a custom field/Issues in reports pull

    Hi All,
    Requirement:
Create a new field in the GL master that will link through to a new 8 to 10 character new Chart of Accounts (COA).
We are presently using the "Group Account number" field from the GL master for reporting purposes through a Group COA. So this won't be available for our new purpose. Instead of creating a custom field and pulling the data, I'm thinking to use Country Chart of Accounts to fill this gap by using "Alternative Account Number" in GL Control data tab.
I created a new Country COA and assigned it to Operational COA. Created new GL account (FS00) and also created a new Country Chart of Accounts (FSP0) at Chart of Accounts level and assigned this to the created GL (FS00). In this process I got couple of issues
    1) System didn't allow me to assign Country COA GL if already has the balance, and tried to change this error message in OBA5 without success. How can I add newly crated Alternative a/cs to the existing (balanced) GL A/cs?
    2) This time I created brand new GL a/c and added the alternative a/c and created new Financial Statement Version (FSV) assigned the newly crated a/cs but I couldn't run the reports on this new COA, getting following error message "Company codes and charts of accounts entered are incompatible" when executing F.01/F.08.
    3) May be silly to ask - why we are not maintaining the Alternative a/c at Company Code level (FSS0)? Why we are only maintaining at Chart of Accounts level (FSP0)?
Would be glad if any one touch this area deep enough to understand easily

    Hi
The system will update the amount at company code level GL only. You can post the entries at company code gl only, no option to post the transaction figures at chart of accounts level. So the group COA or country level COA will pick up the transactional data from the GL at country level. Remaining level GLs are link with the country level COA.

  • Financial Statement Version through Alternative Account Number

    Hi Experts
Is it possible to create Financial Statement Version by using Alternative Account Number
    Regards
    Sreenivasulu

    Hi
I think you want it only in the display as to what is the alternate account number for the GL account available in the FSV. If that be the case you can try that in the normal transaction F.01 which will not require a new FSV.  You can select the gl account number and the alternate account number in the same report through change layout.

  • FI-GL: Question regarding "alternative account no." - Why in BSEG?

    Hi all,
I have another question. I think this is really a little bit tricky this time (I spend a lot of time investigating this question but couldn't find an answer).
It's regarding the field "alternative account no." in FS00 (table SKB1-ALTKT) and it's about the design of the SAP system regarding this feature (alternative chart of account).
We've one company code (Belgium) in the system which uses alternative account numbers for a country specific local chart of accounts. The country specific chart of accounts BE01 is assigned to this company code in OBY6 besides the operative chart of accounts. The company code is in production for some years so there are many postings up to now. So far so good. Now, they have found an error in the assignment from alternative account to operative account. As a result, they want us to evaluate the option to change the alternative account number for this account in the transaction FS00.
For sure, it's not possible to change the alternative account no. in FS00 as long as there is a balance on this account. But if you post this balance to a temporary / technical account, it's possible to change the alternative account no. If you do this, SAP will give you the message FH 165 which is a warning and not a error message (so you can save the changes). After that, it's possible to create an inverse posting in order to get the balance back to this account.
Now to the strange part (for me): Why does SAP record this alternative account no. for each document line item in the BSEG table in the field BSEG-LOKKT? This is also what the message FH 165 is about. For me, this does not really make sense, but I'm sure that I miss a detail somewhere.
I mean, you know for example that the alternative account A belongs to the operative account B (via FS00 / SKB1-ALTKT). Therefore, why do you need to write this account to every single line item in BSEG? Why doesn't SAP just substitute the operative account no. with the alternative account no. in all relevant reports (RFBILA00, balance display S_ALR_87012277...).
The background of my question is now: If I zero out the balance and change the alternative account number in FS00, then all postings up to now won't be changed automatically. So for all postings up to now, the old alternative account no. remains in the BSEG table. For all new postings, the new alternative account no will be in the BSEG table. So from my understanding, there will be an inconsistency in the database if I change the alternative account no.
In order to evaluate whether I can change the alternative account no. without risking inconsistencies, I would now need to know how this field (BSEG-LOKKT) is used in the SAP system. Is it used in any special reports or for what purpose is it in the BSEG table? What about the balance table GLT0? Is there also a special balance table for the alternative account no. in the system or how are the balances (e.g. for RFBILA00) calculated for the alternative chart of accounts?
I would be very glad for any help as I am really at the end with my SAP knowledge on this point.
Thank you in advance and sorry for the long (and maybe confusing?) posting.
    Regards,
    Peter

    hi Peter,
I believe the system is perfectly designed in this case
Let's say you have G/L account A in Operative CoA, which is linked to account 1 in Alternative CoA. Than the local law changes and you have to link account A to account 2 from 01.01.2008. The system works perfectly: All the items which were posted earlier are still shown on Alternative account 1 (according to local law for last year), while the new items will be shown on account 2 (according to local law for the new year).
BSEG-LOKKT is only used for reporting, does not control anything. On the other hand there won't be any inconsistency in your system, if you change the alternative account number acc. to business needs.
    hope this helps

  • Payment block code is not displayed when an alternative account is used

    Hi,
we have defined an alternative account for vendors.
When posting an invoice directly in FI, the payment block field (as well as the other payment terms fields) is not displayed in the Payment tab, if the alternative account code is selected. If the alternative account is cleared - in the same document - the payment terms fields are again displayed. Changing again the alternative account field (from blank to the relevant code) have the effect of payment terms masking.
The same behavior happens during the modification of a document.
The result is that - as the invoices are posted with the payment block field posted as default, it is not possible to release those documents.
Can you give me any hint?
    Thanks,
    Massimo

    Hi
It may be a problem with Posting Keys you are using.
    Go to OB41
Double click on posting key used for payment or which ever your action is for
Click on the Field status on the top
    Double click on Payment Transactions
And select optional or required for the fields which you want to see
                              OR
    Go to TCode OBC4
Select the required company code's Field status variant (whole line should be selected)
Double click on Field status groups
Double click on Reconciliation accounts (A/Payable or A/Receivable)
    Double click on Payment Transactions
And select optional or required for the fields which you want to see
    Hope its useful.
Mostly first solution should work for you

now asks me to put in my payment method. i do not wish to place it in because i am not looking forward to purchase any app that needs to be paid for. How can i use my account but not give in my credit card data?

Create a NEW account/ID using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before. Make sure you specify a birthdate that results in being at least 13 years old

  • Payment program F110 - select wrong Bank Account ID

    Hi,
I have created a new bank account for an existing House bank (in trans. fi12)
When we run the payment program F110, the wrong bank account is mentioned in the DME file.
It shows the first one on the list and not the last one.
How can I create a DME file with the new bank account?
    Thank you for your feedback.
    Kind regards,
    Linda

    Hi Eric,
When I go in transaction FBZP, and drill down to Bank accounts, I only find the first bank account ID (which is the wrong one).
I assume that if I add the new one, it will work?
    Kind regards,

  • HT204266 I have redeemed points on my account but, when I try to buy a song I tunes doesnt use them it tries to access the credit card associated with the account for payment.

I have redeemed points on my account but, when I try to buy a song I tunes doesnt use them it tries to access the credit card associated with the account for payment. How do I tell this thing to use the points instead. duh

By 'redeemed points' I assume that you mean that you've redeemed an iTunes gift card onto your account (?). If you do then are you trying to buy songs for yourself or are you trying to gift them - you can only gift items from a credit card, an account's balance can't be used for gifting. If you are buying for yourseflt and you are being asked to enter/verify a credit card number then are you currently in the country where your iTunes account is based ?

  • Incoming payments through f110 ?

    HI,
Can one of you please give some info. On the following..
F110 .. We can also use for incoming payments. Can you please let me know when exactly we will execute incoming payments through f110 ?
For vendor it makes sense that it will collect the all pending open invoices and will generate a payment document including check printing(or whatever the payment method)  to vendor.
    Step 1. Create vendor invoices…
    Step 2. Run F110
Step 3. F110 selects pending invoices and generates payment documents
Step 4. depending on payment method It will allow us to pay the money to Vendor through cheque/ cash/ …etc.,
I gues incoming payments is for receivables from customer, if so then what f110 does for incoming payments..
I feel if we know that customer deposited the money in bank (through bank statement) then we can run f110 for the open documents… is it correct ? Or any other options.. Let me know step by step process like vendors
    Step 1. Create Customer invoices
    Step 2.
    Step 3.
    Regards
    Ravinagh Boni

    Ravi,
    F110 can be used for incoming payments as well.It is not a common practice across all businesses. This process is called as ACH direct debit. In simple terms it is pulling money directly from customer bank account.Required things;
    1. A payment method for Incoming payments, Payment medium program used for this payment method is RFFOEDI1
    2. Banking information in customer master.
    To explain it further:
    1. Post invoice to customer
    2. Run f110 to clear the invoice by inserting customer number in the parameters tab
    3. Payment program creates an IDOC with all requirement information for the banks to process payments
    4. if the bank accepts IDOC send idoc's to bank, if not process data in EDI translator and send the file to bank in aceptable format
    5. Bank processes the payments and sends the clearing transactions as a bank statement
    6. When EBS is processed main bank account will be updated.
    I hope this helps,

  • How to generate checks when executing Automatic Payment Program (F110)

Is it possible to generate checks automatically when I execute the automatic payment program? Will reward points to any suggestion. Thanks!

    hi patrick
    try this.....ur problem may solve.....
    Create Automatic Payment Transactions (F110)
    Purpose
Use this procedure to generate checks proposals or ACH proposals and then subsequently issue checks or set up ACH files to be transmitted to the bank.
    Trigger
Perform this procedure when through either an ACH or a check, a creditor of the University needs to be paid.
    Prerequisites
Open invoices with reached due dates have to be present in the SAP system.
    Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:
    ·         Select Accounting  Financial Accounting  Accounts Payable  Periodic processing  Payments to go to the Automatic Payment Transactions: Status screen.
    Transaction Code
    F110
    Business Process Information
The automatic payment process will be centrally managed in the Accounts Payable Office. The automatic payment program will be executed each day for all open invoices (across vendors) in the system. There will be separate payment run execution corresponding to each payment method category:
Check payments: clears the open invoices and issues a check output
ACH payments: clears the open invoices and issues an ACH file output
Foreign currency payments: clears open invoices but no output is issued
State/Grant payments: clears open invoices but no output is issued
The process steps executed during the automatic payment program are:
    Enter Payment Parameters
    Edit/review Payment Proposal
    Post Payments
Generate Payment Medium (print checks or create ACH payment file)
    Generate Positive Payment File
The payment parameters are entered in order to limit the open invoices and credits selected for payment. It is important to note that the payment terms that are defined on the invoice will drive whether a invoice is due for payment during the current payment run. During the payment program execution, the invoices that are due for payment will be presented to the user on a payment proposal list.
The payment proposal is a list of expected payments grouped by vendor account. Invoices that are due for payment but cannot be paid due to some kind of accounting or system error are listed as exceptions. Examples of typical exceptions are missing banking information (for ACH payments) and blocked invoices. Some payment exceptions will be resolved at the Accounts Payable Office. However the Department must resolve some exceptions. When these types of exceptions appear on the payment proposals, the Accounts Payable Office will inform the Department of the blocked payment in order to get a resolution. Key personnel in the Accounts Payable Office will be the only resources to have access to the editing function of the payment proposal processing. Typically, there is no business reason the edit or change a payment proposal. Editing options for a payment proposal includes: changing the default disbursing bank account information or changing the payment method.
After the payment proposals have been reviewed and edited, the proposals are posted as payments. It is important to note that any open credit on the vendor's account is also taken in consideration when creating the vendor's payment. The payment method supplement defined on the invoice will drive the check sorting.
In addition to the printed check output, the payment program run produces an ACH file and a Positive Pay file. Both files are sent to the bank for further processing. The ACH file contains the vendor's payment and banking data. The Positive Pay file contains the check data (check processed, voided, etc) and is used for confirmation of payments.

    HI
Please pay attention at  the possible causes of message AU133:
    1. Error AU133:
       a) You have not defined a contra account for acquisition value postings in the Asset Accounting Customizing settings (Transaction AO90).However, this is required as of Release 4.6C because, as is the case for all other integration postings in Asset Accounting, invoice receipt postings have to be displayed in Asset Accounting via the new posting kernel to ensure an identical document
    structure.
       b) You have defined the account in Asset Accounting, however, it is not created in the affected company code.Check whether the account is correct and create it for the company code, if necessary.
    2. You have entered an asset reconciliation account for the "Contra account: Acquisition value posting" (for example, the same account as for   "Acquisition:Acquis. and production costs" account). This is not  permitted.Check whether your account determination is correct
(Transaction AO90) in Asset Accounting Customizing. The same applies
for the 'Contra account: Down payment posting'.
    3. As "Contra account: Acquisition value posting" you entered an asset G/L account. If necessary change the automatic posting indicator in the G/L account master record.
4.Check if you need  revaluation accounts in depreciation areas involved   (AO90):
      -Revaluation acquis. and production costs
      -Offsetting account: Revaluation APC
Please run also programm RACKONTO where missing or wrong customizing
the accoutn determinations per company code is displayed
Also have a look at note 7595 in this regard.
Please assign points if it useful.
    Regards
