Using iphoto, how do I print a written description upon an image?

Would like my images to have descriptive text boxes. Want to be able to print descriptions at the same time, on the face of a photo without having to go into Adobe Photoshop. Using the iPhoto program, how do I print a written description upon an image?

select the picture(s), then selec the menu item "Info" button (bottom-right):
Then add a description using the description field.  For individual descriptions by picture select only one picture at a time.
Now select the picture(s) you want to print and select the menu item "File > Print" then in the bottom right choose the "Contact" format:
selec thte number of columns, then click the "Captions" button to select which items are included as the caption:
Click "Ok" then click "Print" at the bottom of the iPhoto window

  • When I zoom in on photo using iPhoto, how can I save the zoomed in photo please?  This always looks better than cropping., When I zoom in on photo using iPhoto, how can I save the zoomed in photo please?  This always looks better than cropping.

When I zoom in on photo using iPhoto, how can I save the zoomed in photo please?  I would like a screen shot of my zoomed in photo - is this possible?.  Cropping doesn't give the same effect as zooming in and magnifying the photo.  Any help would be appreciated thank you.  I have an iMac

To take a screenshot of the zoomed photo, press either the key combination
⇧⌘3   for a screenshot of the full screen, or
⇧⌘4   to bring up a selection rectangle: select the section of the screen, that you want to save.
The screenshots will be sent to your desktop; drag them from there to the iPhoto icon in the Dock to import them.

Click on the More Info button and ignore the web page, go to iPhoto's Accounts preference pane and delete the MobileMe account. Next to go the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of MMe.  That will stop those messages.

  • How do I print as a "reverse or mirror image" on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 model # N911a

How do I  print as a "reverse or mirror image" on the HP Officejet Pro 8600 model # N911a

I have spent hours figuring out how to print a t-shirt transfer since my new HP printer doesn't seem to allow for mirror image printing (yet my old HP printer easily let me select this feature).   Here's what worked for me, using Word 2010:
Create the text and insert any images  into the document as you normally would.
Go to Insert / WordArt and chose a style of lettering (I don’t think it matters what you choose since you will be cutting and pasting the data from 1 above).   A text box will appear and a new "double-decker" tab will appear at the right (Drawing Tools on top and Format below).
Copy what you created in step 1 and paste it into the text box.
Click on the Format tab (the cursor must be inside the text box for the Format tab to be visible).
Choose Text Effects / 3-D Options and then 3-D Rotation Options.  A dialogue box will open.  For the X value, enter 180.  Do not enter anything for the other values.  Your image should have rotated to mirror image.
Click Close and save your document.
You should now be able to print your document as usual.
    Good luck!

  • I have just upgraded to mountain lion and now can not use iphoto how do I get to my photos?

iPhoto just has a no entry sign on it after up dating to mountain lion how do I now use iPhoto please?

    Hi Anitra,
Did you updated from OSX Lion to Mountain Lion? And iPhoto was installed on your Mac? Then iPhoto and the Library must still be on your Mac.
Go to finder and slect 'Applications'. iPhoto must be in that folder. Open iPhoto. See what happens. Are all your pictures/events displayed?
If not, please reply and we will try to locate the iPhoto Library.

  • MacBookPro using Adobe how do I print both sides of the paper

    Using MacBookPro
How do I set the printer to print both side of paper when using Adobe?
    Other Applications work OK

Adobe... what? Acrobat Pro? Reader? Which Adobe application?
If Reader or Acrobat Pro, just select Print from the File menu:
Click on the "Printer..." button to override the defaults, and select Duplex printing:
If from another Adobe product, call back...

  • Using InDesign3, how do I print a book index?

I have created a book index; I marked it as a book index. How do I print it?

I cannot get my index to allow me to print it. I can view the index in the Index window so I know it exists. I click the Generate Index button and nothing happens. If I am at the end of a chapter and click the Generate Index button, it generates the Index for that chapter which I can print.
    Evidently I'm missing something somewhere.

  • I use Photoshop Elements 11 to print panoramas. Works for jpeg images but not tiff. Suggestions?

I use Photoshop Elements 11 to print panoramas. It works for jpeg images but not for tiff images. Seems strange because PSE11 manages tiff images in all other processes. Anyone fared better?

    Thank you for your trouble.
My images are not usually layered and the particular case I am about to quote, it is not. The dimensions are 10,546 x 2,790 and the image has 16.7 mbs. I use 8 bit colour. When I set up the print screens for tiff, everything is normal until I get to the last screen with the image set upon the photo paper. Then the paper size indicated with the image refuses to budge from the A4 size, so the panorama gets printed on that. I consulted the Adobe chat line and the expert could 't get it to work either. So he came to the conclusion that the tiff capability had not been extended to printing panoramas. In seeking advice, I thought someone might refer me to an updating patch!
Well done! You have confounded the system!  I could not find any control that would override the setting.

  • How can I use iphoto with my epson printer to make my own cards?

How can I use photos on macbook air and my own printer to make cards? I used to be able to -- but some software now only leads me to BUYING cards, or makes it seemingly impossible to manipulate the image so that I can see it on the size paper I will be using. This used to be do-able! How now? Thanks.

  • Using iphoto with HP photo printer

I recently purchased a macbook pro laptop with the HP-C4180 printer. I hooked up the USB cable from the laptop to the printer and tried to print a couple of pictures that I loaded onto the laptop. The printed pictures aren't close to the colors that appear on the screen. I then tried using the HP software that came with the printer and the same thing occurs. I've checked the ink cartridges but they are installed correctly. If I'm doing something wrong let me know...otherwise the printer stinks and I will be returning it to Apple online.

To get prints that match your monitor image it is necessary to have a calibrated computer screen and printer profiles (colorsync) specifically for the printer-ink-paper combination you are using. HP printer software usually comes with profiles that provide a close match for HP inks and HP paper. Any other inks or paper are bound to give disappointing results.
Printer profiles for ANY paper can be generated with the proper photometric devices, which are generally much more expensive than the printer itself. Monitor calibrators are becoming fairly inexpensive. But one isn't much good without the other.
Best results for printing with iPhoto are obtained by first embedding the HP profile (that matches your paper) into the photograph by using Preview. The HELP menus will guide you through the process.

  • HT3771 Our imac is responding "printer offline" with the printer that is always used.  How do we print or fix this?

I need help in finding the source of a problem:  Imac reads "printer offline"..  Can't figure out how to fix it.  We have re-set the computer but no fix..

    juliettaha,
Try rebooting everything first, computer, router, modem, also try connecting via USB.
If no joy then try going to system preferences>printers>and highlight the printer in question (you may have to enter your admin pswd) then click the minus button and delete the printer.
Next click the plus button and re-add the printer and see if that helps.
    Hope this helps

  • How do I print what I see? The image on my screen is cropped on the paper.

I want to print what I see on the screen. When I attempt to do so, the image is cropped, but this crop does not appear on the mac screen.

You must crop your photo to the size ratio of the paper you'll be printing on.  Therefore, if you want to print a 4 x 6 you need to crop the photo to 4 x 6 first.  Then select the paper size and print size in the print window.
