Using is prompted not displaying the results

Hi,
I have a situation here where i want to show all the live reports that are available and then by clicking on the report i will be able to to to adifferent report shows other details like the Dashboard and the Dashboard page.
I have created the report which has the report name display and then have done a "Value Interaction" -> Navigate under Column format and had mentioned the other report which shows the details of the reports.
Then created the Detailed report and have the Report name in the detailed report as "Is prompted".
But when i click on the report the details report could not fetch details of the report giving me the below error
No Results
The specified criteria didn't result in any data. This is often caused by applying filters that are too restrictive or that contain incorrect values. Please check your Request Filters and try again. The filters currently being applied are shown below.
Report Name New is equal to Entries
I figure out the problem is that if it uses equal to it is not able to fetch the data but if i choose "Contains All" from the filter in the details report it shows me the data.
But using "is prompted" does equal to. So how do i pass the report name to the Detailed report and use a SQL in the filter.

I did the trimboth, another problem which i am facing is that even after putting a filter saying "Dashboard Name not null" i am seeing blank rows in the Dashboard Name column.
I am having a reports with the below columns:
Report Name Dashboard Name Dashboard Page
Any idea why is the Dashboard Name coming blank when after putting TRIMBOTH and not null criteria.

How to use outer join to display the results

I want to develop a report in which the column sequence will be as follows:
1)Item_code
2)Item_name
3)Stock
4)Pending
5)Re-order Level
6)Item_reorder_qty
I had written the query, but the problem is all the products does not get displayed. The products are more than 700. But after running the query, only 364 gets displayed.
How i can make use of outer join in the following statements :

As you have no table aliases I can't tell what columns relate to which tables on your join conditions.
Can you not just put (+) next to the outer joined columns you require on the where clause? Or perhaps consider using ANSI syntax for the joins such as <tableA> LEFT OUTER JOIN <tableB> ON (<join conditions>)

OBIEE Answers does not display the result set of a report query

Hi,
We have a pivot table type of report in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition v.10.1.3.3.2 Answers that has the following characteristics:
 3 Pages
 3 Sections , 4 Columns
 18363 Rows in the result set
As per the NQQuery.log, the query for this report executes successfully resulting in 18363 rows. However, nothing comes up in the display on Answers. Moreover, no error is reported. The instanceconfig.xml file has the following setting:

 <CubeMaxRecords>30000</CubeMaxRecords>
 <CubeMaxPopulatedCells>300000</CubeMaxPopulatedCells>
</PivotView>
Even with these settings, Answers just returns a blank page - nothing is displayed in the name of the result set of the report query. Has anyone encountered this problem scenario before?

Thanks for your inputs. A few points to note:
-> I am actually not getting any error message in answers or the NQQuery log. Moreover I am not getting any errors related to "query governor limit exceeding in cube generation" also.
-> I have other pivot table type of reports in the same repository that work fine. In fact the report which has this issue even works sometimes - what actually is happening is that if I alter the number of sections from 3 to 4, then the result set changes from 14755 Rows to 18363 Rows and as per the NQQuery.log in both cases the query completes successfully. However, when the result set has 14755 rows, I get to see the output in Answers; however when the result set is 18636 rows, the Answers screen just goes blank and does not show any output or error. This makes me believe that there is some parameter in instanceconfig or the NQSconfig file - I have tried a lot of changes but nothing works !
Any help is much appreciated.

Why is RoboHelp not displaying the required data content of .chm when linked as Help in my App ?

Am using Adobe RoboHelp, Version 10 and IE version being 10.
In my local machine :
1.)I have completed my technical writing courtesy Design editor
2.)Generating chm File : View -> Pods –> Single Source Layouts -> Right Click on Microsoft HTML Help -> Tagged Set as Primary Layout
3.)Generating Primary Layout : File -> Generate -> Primary Layout (Microsoft HTML Help)…
4.)Viewing Primary Layout : File -> View -> Primary Layout
Everything works FANTASTICALLY till here with the required output (as Hide, Back, Refresh, Home, Print, Options, Contents, Index, Search, Glossary and with the data contents)
Show Stopper, At my Application Server :
5.)I copy the entire robohelp project folder from my local machine to my application Server path
6.)My Application has been developed in ASP .NET, Version 4.0.

If you looked at the error message and searched the forum, you should find the answer as this is a problem that started in 2005. You should not run CHM files from a server and cannot without editing the users registry. See the page below.

KE5Z - Actual Line Item report freezes before displaying the result

Hi,
We have a situation. We have a Z report in Finance. We have linked KE5Z to this Z report using the Report Painter along with 15 others. When we run the Z report it works fine and displays result. In the displayed result, if we futher drill down for the actual line items for a particular profit center, system freezes. It does not display any result even after a long wait.
We did our analysis and found that the program takes the profit center number range from the least available in the profit center group to highest available in the profit center group and starts checking for every line item in it. This happens when the profit center group has more than 50 profit centers in them. When we run KE5Z tcode individually, it runs fine.
We are not sure how to go about finding a way out of it.
Has anyone faced such issue? Do you know of any OSS note that can help us? or If anyone of you can think of a solution or a way to go about it?

Altavista will not display search results

altavista us will not display search results. altavista canada works fine. On us site results will display in no style page but not in basic page style. The page comes up blank. This may have been caused by delta search. I think I have rid my computer of delta? Reloaded firefox. I use norton 360 and have run registry clean up and virus scans. Also cleaned explorer. In explorer the u.s. altavista works ok that is why I think it something to do with firefox and delta search showed up at the same time unwanted and forced a change on my home page. Have cleared computer of what delta files I could find my have something in the registry but I would not know what to look for or to do with. I am running xp

In a round about way you solved my problem cor-el ! At the end of standard diagnostic there was mention of malware so I ran malwarebytes before running profile manager. malwarebytes found 21 items some in the registry. deleted these items and tried altavista us again and to my surprise it is working ok now.I thought norton 360 would catch such things but I guess it doesn't ! will keep and run a malware program from now on. thank you for your help.

Search button not displaying search results

I have created a page where you enter a string and click a search button and it will display the file that contains that string. It works on one page but not any of the other pages I have created. I went to dkubiceck page and copied the code for the search button there.
This is the code I used to run the query to bring up the document information:

I can run the script in sql workshop and it returns information but I can't get the page to display anything so I think it has something to do with the search button. Does it have something to do with the button request. I have the request as go which is what the Oracle Text for APEX tutorial indicates. I am at a loss as to why it is working in one place and not in another. HELP!!!!!!!

The only thing I added to the query above is a dbms_doc.getlength statement to be able to open a link to the document.
The first 2 times I created this on a page it worked just fine. But now no matter what conputer or schema or application I create this button in it won't display the results. I can admit that I have no experience creating a button with a different request than what comes up in the wizard. And the documentation that I found on creating buttons was of no help.
I have not made any changes to anything in the wizard so can someone guide me as to how to create a button that will allow me to search a document using Oracle Text as described above

The query works fine when run from SQL*Plus:

This must be something unique to SQLDeveloper. I tested in 2.1 EA1 and 1.5.5.59.69 and the query does not show results for the Total (GB) and Free (GB) columns.

I would like to update the problem. It seems like when SQLDeveloper is connected to ASM instance, it has trouble using the divide operator (/). For example, the following query works fine:
SELECT
name,
TOTAL_MB
FROM
V$ASM_DISKGROUP;
But if I try to divide the TOTAL_MB by any number, the column shows blank (the column is blank, not NULL). So, if I try to run the following query, the output will just display diskgroup names. The TOTAL_MB/1024 column shows blank.
SELECT
name,
TOTAL_MB/1024
FROM
V$ASM_DISKGROUP;
If I run the same query in SQL*Plus from the same desktop using the same TNS alias, it works just fine which tells me that it is a SQLDeveloper problem.
When I am connected to a regular database, then the problem does not show up and SQLDeveloper is able to display the results even when I am using the divide operator (/).

I have one PR_ProjectType Column in my Mastertable,Based on that Column we need to reed the column data and Display the Results
Ex:
Pr_ProjectType
AD,AM
AD
AM
AD,AM,TS,CS.OT,TS
AD,AM
like that data will come now we need 1. Ad,AM then same we need 2. AD also same we need 3. AM also we need
4.AD,AM,TS,CS.OT,TS in this string we need AD,AM only.
this logic we need we have thousand of data in the table.Please help this is urgent issue

Based on your description, you want to eliminate the substrings (eliminated by comma) that are not AD or AM in each value of the column. Personally, I don’t think this can be done by just using an expression in the Derived Column. To achieve your goal, here
are two approaches for your reference:
Method 1: On the query level. Replace the target substrings with different integer characters, and create a function to eliminate non-numeric characters, then replace the integer characters with the corresponding substrings. The statements
for the custom function is as follows:

Method 2: Using a Script Component. Add a Derived Column Transform to replace the target substrings as method 1, use Regex in script to remove all non-numeric characters from the string, add another Derived Column to replace the integer
characters to the corresponding substring. The script is as follows:
