should i create a applmgr useDepends whether you want to have multi-user installation or not.
For multi-user installation, you need to create applmgr account (use the same command you use to create oracle user). To run Rapid Install, log in as root user and run Rapidwiz.
For single-user installation, oracle account would be enough. To run Rapid Install, log in as oracle user and run Rapidwiz.
For more details, check "Oracle® Applications Installation Guide: Using Rapid Install Release 12", "Create Operating System Accounts" section.

• MAnaged system configuration error in solution manager

Hi,
While doing managed system configuration getting the error, below versions are using.
MDM 7.1 SP10 Import server and Solution manager 7.1 SP10.
Can anyone help me?.
Regards
Chandra

Two cases you have
1) Satellite system
Re-install The DIA agent and give correct (port numbers )SLD details
Once you re-install the DIA agent, run Rz70 from satellite system
data will pull from satellite system to central SLD.
2)Run SLD check from Solman system , check its successful or not
Go to LMDB and check satellite system
After re-Synchronize technical system from SLD

• Managed System Configuration Error for MDM 7.1 SP09

Greetings, Needed your expert advise. We are getting an error while configuring our MDM Servers (Version 7.1.08.196) in Solution Manager. As suggested in SAP Note 1798643 , I have manually filled the required details and transferred through sldreg.exe to SLD. Now when i try to perform Managed System Configuration, it is throwing the below error. The definition of Technical System '~MDM' is not correct: '~MDM': No Path found in Installed Technical System 'SID~MDM~'. I'm not sure how to manually update the Install Path for our MDM Servers. Since, the data to LMDB is automatically supplied, I might not be able to manually edit anything. Could you please advise if there is any step to solve this issue. Thanks, Haseeb Ahmed.

Dear ,
Haseeb,
I had the exact same problem with MDM managed system setup . I was on MDM 7.1 SP10.
1940337 - RCA template for Solution Manager 7.10 SP10
This note should resolve your problem. This note has the updated template for MDM.
It did for mine
Thanks

• Javaws -Xclearcache System Configuration error

I am running on windoze XA SP 2 with JDK 1.5.1_06. I am running on the system admin account but when I try to use the -Xclearcache option I get the error: below. In DOS I issue the command:
javaws -silent -Xnosplash -Xclearcache test.jnlp
An error occurred while launching/running the application.
Category: System Configuration
The current user does not have write access to the cache.
JNLPException[category: System Configuration : Exception: null : LaunchDesc: null ]
at com.sun.javaws.Main.main(Unknown Source)

yes - this looks like a simple bug.
If you want to specify a particular jnlp file to uninstall use:
javaws -uninstall <jnlp-file-or-url>
to clear the cache completely,
javaws -XClearcache
or
javaws -uninstall
seem to do the same thing, but
javaws -Xclearcache either does nothing, or gets an error, depending on the other args.

• Integrating 3 systems - Configuration Error

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario where I need to integrate 3 technical systems. i.e One Source System and Two Target Systems are there.
The Mapping is defined under a common Software Component Version which has the other 3 SWCVs as dependents.
I have used 1 Message Mapping, 1 Interface mapping, 2 Interface Determinations, 1 Sender Agreement, 1 Receiver Determination, 2 Receiver Agreements.
Input Message -> Message A ( Target A ) and Message B ( Target B ). Ideally, Message A should go to Receiver Agreement A and then to Target A , and Message B should go to Receiver Agreement B and then tio Target B.
But when I test the configuration, it is throwing an error at Receiver Agreement stating " No standard agreement found"
XI is trying to send Message A and Message B to both the Targets and hence Message B fails at Target A and Message A fails at Target B.
Kindly let me know what is the practical solution to this .
Thanks and Regards,
Krishna

Hi Experts,
Thanks for the valuable replies to this question...
Actually my scenario was simplified by using 2 message mappings and 2 operation mappings...
One of the receivers was an ABAP Proxy and another one was a File..
So i reckon its not possible to club both under the same mapping...
I used two different mappings, one for File to Proxy and another for File to File and 1 Rx Det, 2 Interface Det. 2 Rx Agreements...
It is now working perfectly...
Thanks again for your comments...
Regards,
Krishna

• EPM System Configuration Error

Hi, Gurus
When am re-configuring EPM system, I got below error message.

"The port number is already used by another application. Specify a port number that is not being used."
I want to delete the previously configured ports and applications. what is the best method to reconfigure the EPM system without uninstalling the software?
Thanks for your help in advance.
regards
Sarilla

The port number in use indicates something is actually running at currently at that port. Make sure you have all services stopped before reconfiguring, check task manager for any residual processes to kill, or reboot and make sure nothing is running.

• Cannot install itunes on computer says system configure

Trying to install itunes on computer keeps comming up with system configure error please help

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

• System Configuration - SAP Web AS Connection - connection tests error

hi
I have a SAP ECC 6.04 and sap portal 7.01
When I entered in option System Administration / System Configuration / System Landscape / Portal Content Tree / Systems / SAP_ECC (System created by me)
I founded the following error (in SAP Web AS Connection / Tests the connection to an SAP Web Application Server )
SAP Web AS Connection
Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
1. Checks the validity of system ID in the system object.
2. Checks if the system can be retrieved from the PCD.
3. Check whether a SAP system is defined in the system object
4. Validate the following parameters: WAS protocol; WAS host name
5. Checks if the host name of the server can be resolved.
6. Pings the WAS ping service; works only if the service is activated on the ABAP WAS.
7. Checks HTTP/S connectivity to the defined back-end application
Results
1. The system ID is valid
2. The system was retrieved.
3. The system object represents an SAP system
4. The following parameters are valid: Web AS Protocol (http) Web AS Host Name (htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200)
5. The host name htc-svr-erp.humantech.es was resolved successfully.
6. The Web AS ping service http://htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200/sap/bc/ping was not pinged successfully. If the ping service is not activated on the Web AS, you can try to call the ping service manually.
7. An HTTP/S connection to http://htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200 was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall.
hi

I have a SAP ECC 6.04 and sap portal 7.01

When I entered in option System Administration /System Configuration /System Landscape / Portal Content Tree / Systems /SAP_ECC (System created by me)

If the ping service is not activated on the Web AS, you can try to call the ping service manually.*
7. An HTTP/S connection to http://htc-svr-erp.humantech.es:4200 was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall.
