Validation Transport ..in PS

Hi all,
In PS for a Validation Check we have created a user exit UPS15 in formpool ZGGBR000 in devlopment, when i created the validation rule, we set the val check as the new exit created UPS15 and saved the rule and it even works on the project in development.
we need to transport the new validation rule into test and check..while transporting, the system throws an error saying first transport the exists and later transfer the validations.
but in the test in the formpool ZGGBR000 we get the new exit created...
is there any config or development needs to be done for this transport .
For the FI validations  rules in OB28 we get all the FI val defined..
In which transaction do we get the PS validations defined...
Regards
Vinayak

Hi,
During runtime of CJ20N transaction, data of entire project (including hierarchy) can be obtained by calling 'BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO' as follows:
CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_PROJECT_GETINFO'
       EXPORTING
              with_subtree           = 'X'
       IMPORTING
              return                 = l_return
        TABLES
               i_wbs_element_table    = it_wbs
               e_wbs_hierarchie_table = it_wbs_hier.
Declare the variables according to the types used in the above function module. After the call, the entire WBS hierarchy is stored in it_wbs_hier. For any record in this, if the field 'DOWN' is blank it means that it is the lowest level. (i am not aware of your design but usually there may be multiple WBS at lowest level)
Regarding the user defined field you mentioned, i am not sure which database table has the value, so not sure how runtime data can be retrieved. But explore all BAPIs and other FMs available in PS in SE37 transaction by doing wildcard search with FM names as well as descriptions;
Cheers,
KC

  • SPP Error - No valid transportation lane between Supplier and LOC1

    Hi
While running the EOQ and SFT planning service, we get the following error
"No valid transportation lane between Supplier and LOC1". LOC1 is the entry location for our BOD.
We have not created any procurement relationships as we are working on a standalone SCM trialbox.
Appreciate any help/suggestions to resolve this issue.
    Thanks & Best Regds
    Mitesh

    Hi Mitesh,
You need to have valid transportation lanes from the supplier. Maintain it manually. If I remember correctly it is possible to have External Procurement Relationships in APO only (type 4) and not just contracts, purchasing inforecords or scheduling agreements CIFed from ECC.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,

  • Validations transport request

    Hi All
I have created a validation, but I didn't got the transport request no.
Please let me know how to transfer the transport the validation or how to create the transport reqest for my validation.
    Best regards
    Madhavi

    Hi
Keep the cursor on validation you created (Not on step ,validation may have number of steps ex:-step 001 ,step 002 etc..) and from the menu select Validation-> Transport. Select all the check boxes and execute. Then it will prompt for new Request creation.
After creating  the Request go to SE09 to move the same to Quality server.Once it is moved to Quality Run the program RGUGBR00 to generate the ABAP Code for validation in Quality. The same need to be done in Production also.
Also i can say you , we can generate a transport request no. for the validation only but not for step.
So the same transport number will be valid for all the steps in the validation.
Hence we cant create a transport request no. for a step.

    Dear Expert,
While transporting an accounting validation the error message related to the validation is not getting transported.

    Hi,
Message relating to Validation needs to be separately transported. These messages are created in SE91 and your ABAPer would be able to transport the messages using the Z Message Class he would have created for you.
    Regards,
    Sanjay
That's not correct; messages could be incorporated in the validation transport

    Hi Experts
I had created Valiation in our Quality system.
How to move it to Production.
Kindly let me know the procedure.

    Hi,
You can transport from Validation -- Transport.
You can also transport validations using a specific Customizing transaction. In this step, you can specify which validation is to be transported. You can also specify whether the logical rules, sets, messages, application areas and Boolean classes used in the validation are also to be transported.
    Actions to be followed:
    - Enter the name of the validation to be transported.
    - Specify which information concerning the validation is to be transported with the validation.

  • Updating Transport Layer in Packages

Hi all, I have a question on Transport Layers and that set in Packages.
The situation is a system that has been copied and renamed in 4.6 (System was copied from a combined install to a new install with all the customisations kept to provide a separated system with the same functionality) and then upgraded to ECC6.  Now the existing customer packages are still assigned to the old Transport layers and thus if any changes are made the system insists on a Local Change Request.  I know I can individually change each package to the new Transport Layer this then wants a Local Change Request to do this which can then be modified to the right Transport layer, and the package now allows the correct Transport Layer to be used when doing further modifications.
My question is basically Is there a SAP program that will enmass change old Transport Layer assignment to a new valid Transport Layer?
Was there a step missed in the original 4.6 conversion, and can that step be executed now the system has been upgraded to ECC 6?
An example of the entries in the table TDEVC: (sorry for the horrible format)
                            OLD     .    NEW
    DEVCLASS     ZCCO    . ZCO-MAIN
    INTSYS            (blank)  . (blank)
    CONSYS          (blank)  . (blank)
    CTEXT              (blank)  . (blank)
    KORRFLAG           X     .    X
    AS4USER       USER     .  USER
    PDEVCLASS   ZCSD     .  ZFED
    DLVUNIT          HOME   .  HOME
    COMPONENT   (blank)  . (blank)
    NAMESPACE /0CUST/  . /0CUST/
Where the layer ZCSD is no longer valid and ZFED is a new Layer that is functioning correctly for cross system transporting.

    Hi Jason,
I am not sure if there is a program after system copy to change, from old transport layers to new transport layers.
Have you already run BDLS after the system copy. It helps you in change the logical system name and client number as required.
Also the following link provides some insite to your query:

  • Risks for ongoing Dev-Transports during SP & EhP Upgrade

    Hello together,
We are planning at the moment a Support and EhP upgrade for our whole SAP system landscape. We have one centrally ERP 6.0 System where at the moment all affiliates will be migrated into one client. So we have ongoing Roll-Out projects until 2012. During this Roll-Outs we want to Upgrade our SAP ERP system landscape with the relevant Support Packages and EhP 5 in the mid of the next year.
My question is, how should or must we handle the transports, if we want to implement the Support Packages and EhP in parallel to the ongoing Project Transport. If there are some objects affected of new objects coming up from the EhP Packages and affected also from development-transports from the projects. I think that could be a risk that the queue in the Q-System is not valid an we get an surprise in the productive system after transporting all transports form the Support packages and EhP Packages within the Project relevant transport in the P-environment.
So, how should or must we handle the Transports during this time incl. emergency Transports to keep always a valid transport queue in the Q-System for the P-System and to avoid an overtaking of Transports.
Thanks in advance for best practice, documentation and answers.
    Best regards
    Stefan Krogmann

As long as you don't activate additional functionality in the source/DEV system transports should be smooth. However, it's always advised as with support packages installations to keep the gap between DEV/QA/PRD as short as possible.

  • CTS+ Close coupling for transporting epa files

    Hi all,
Is this possible? We have set up CTS+ in our landscape. The domain controller is an ECC 6.0 dual stack system. We would like to be able to create transport package in the portal and automatically assign it to a newly transport request.
We now have problems stating " No valid transport request found; consult your system administrator". We have also had some issues saying that the epa file does not exist, but it is definitely there.
    Ant ideas?

  • Collecting INFOPACKAGE in Transport request individually

    Hi ALL:
While collecting infopackage in Transport request individually(Flow is Infosources> Tools> Object Catalog Entry), it is not prompting to enter the valid transport request number(after entering the valid package name).
Can anyone suggest me how to get the screen that prompts to enter the valid transport request number.
    Thanks

Here is the steps to collect objects under transport request:
    1. rsa1->transport connection
    2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects'
    3. then choose your infocube and 'transfer'
    4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'
    5. after objects collection finished, create request. Repeat the same steps with grouping 'in dataflow before'
    6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.
    7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.
    8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.
    9. If everything is ok, release your request and ask your basis/security guy to move to QA.
    OR
When you will create any object and save it, system will ask you to save under transport request and you can either save it under your transport request or can create new request.
    Hope this helps..

  • Messed up transports

    Hi guys,
I am in strange situation and in need of some expert advice.
While changing or creating new objects in our Development server,I always saved them under 'Dont Transport 'Requests and when my changes felt satisfactory for me,I used to UNLOCK the DONT TRANSPORT REQUESTS and save them again under TRANSPORTABLE requests and transport them to Q and Prod.
Now I got instruction that I am not allowed to have any UNRELEASED requests and have to release everything to Quality.I was afraid that it may mess up objects so took discussion with Transport people. But they said it willnot be any problem as Transport system always picks up RECENT COPY of an object and I should release everything. They said they never delete anything.I did release everything. Now I checked one query and its showing wrong values.I have few doubts about this messed up process
1.First of all,as far as I know, all my Dont Transport requests are in unlocked status as I used to unlock them to save the changes in New Transportable requests.Do unlocked requests really carry changes to Quality...?Do unlocked requests create any troubles?
2.How can I best verify allthe objects involved(Do I really need to verify as all or most of Dont Transport requests are unlocked)?I am really worried because many objects been to Production
3.How can I fix this mess?Do I need to re-transport everything and test everything and move to Prod?
4.What would have been the best action I would have taken when Basis guys asked me to release these requests other than explaining the situation to them?
    Thanks alot for your help.

This is something wierd situation what you have it now.
Normally for some of the pharma related customers will have a strict policies towards their transports and its maintenance.
The best approach is to talk to your basis team that whether they will be really importing those unrelated transports in Quality or not? If they are just releasing and leaving the transport without importing them to Q as its not a valid then you are fine with that.
But as a practive if the transport is not valid then they shud not import them into Production or to Q. So discuss in details with Basis team as to not import any of them in the next level.
Option 2: If they say that it will be imported alone in the Q system then try to indentify whats the earlier version of transport on those objects which is valid, once you have collected the information then you can reimport the valid Transport once again to get the proper status of the objects in Q again.
Most of the times your do not transport will not be imported perfectly in Q or in P as the snapshot of the objects wil lbe different. But it some cases yes it will overwrite and will create an issue.
Hope this is clear for you.

  • OKC7 transport

I made some changes for validation rules of one company code  in OKC7, I go to window" change view "call up points for validation" and the menu  table view/transport, after I create the transport, I go to se01, and check my transport request,  but there
is no objects under the request, how to solve the issue, which T-code I should use for OKC7 transport?
    thanks

    Hi,
in OKC7 double click the validation you want to transport. within the val. rule (change mode), choose "Validation / transport".  Choose the val. name thst should be included in a workbench request, execute.
The assignment of a validation rule to a CO-area itself (in OKC7) is transported by a customizing request (OKC7, table view / transport).
    Best regards, Christian

  • SNP is not picking transportation lane

A valid transportation lane exists for a material that is sourced by DC B from Plant A.
A valid transporation lanes exists between these two however SNP Run does not pick the transporation lane and a Pur Req is created without a source iniside it.

Make sure you have  Product maintained for both source and target location.
