Variable to keep a client list

I was thinking to use a variable to keep a client list which would be eventually used in reports. Without using a variable I have to type the list in case statement.
Does this feature available in OBIEE?
Thanks,
Ted

I have a list of client number and it is tracked as a group. In other words, all metrics are grouped by two groups (in my list or not in the list). For example, the client numbers are from 1 to 300. In my report, I have only 3 columns (month end date, client group, total balance). For the client group, I have to enter the list in the CASE statement in order to have two separate groups (One with client number between 1 and 300 and other group NOT IN Between 1 and 300). I have found this would work for some ad hoc reports. As I started building dashboard with different reports tracking my portfolio, I have ended up keying in the list in all reports. However, the difficult part is to change list in different reports when updating it. In other programming language, I could keep all client numbers in big list and then use it in other reports by referencing a variable name. Does Oracle BI have similar feature? I am new to Oracle BI tool and not sure about how to approach this problem.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ted

  • Wireless Client List keeps getting strange addresses

I am having some issues with the wireless client list in my Linksys E3000 wireless router. I want to use the wireless client list and enter the MAC addresses of the devices that I want to have access. Any where from 5 minutes to a couple days, more MAC's have been added to the list, from devices that don't off hand belong there (not mine). Sometimes, some of the devices that I have put there, will be removed and replaced with the others. Those that are replaced then do not have access. There are about 18 common MAC's that show up.
As an experiment, after many times of replacing these stray MAC's, I tried putting all of the stray MAC's in and restricting them from access. That was good for about 24 hours and the list was misteriously deleted from the restricted list. There is no common thread between time or devices connected.
The following is a list of devices as they appear. Most will reappear after being deleted from the list:

I have assigned IP's to the devices that I want connected.
I have reset to factory settings.
I have the current firmware. I even reinstalled the current firmware.
I have scanned for viruses and malware.
    I am using WPA2 security.
The only hardwired computer that I am on now is running Windows 7. All other computers are running W7. All computers are up to date. All antivirus and malware soft is up to date. All other devices, (cameras, drives, printers, etc.) have firmware up to date.
    Any suggestions?

    Here is the issue:
If I use Permit, MAC's are added to the list which eventually fills up and starts knocking off the one's that I want there.
If I use Prevent, the MAC's that have appeared in the Permit list will start disappearing from the Prevent list.
I have WPA2 Personal encryption on. Remote access turned off.
If I have the Prevent list on with Remote access off, how are these stray MAC's being removed.
If I have the Permit list on with Remote access off, how are these MAC's being added and removing the correct one's.

  • Can I perform a lookup to verify the value of a variable is contained in another list column?

I am working in Sharepoint Designer and am trying to figure out how I can set a condition in an approval workflow to only complete a task if the value of a variable is contained in another list column. So if I had a list called A with column
A1 and I am  working in the approval workflow, I only want the approval to complete if my variable is equal to any value in list A column 1. Otherwise I want to keep the approval task pending. I am very new to sharepoint so any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
You can use the condition "if any value equals value". Please  refer below links for reference.

  • WRT160Nv3 - Clicking "wireless client list" button kills WRT160Nv3 web interface.

Clicking the "Wireless Client List" button on the "Wireless MAC Filter" page causes a new Internet Explorer instance pop-up containing the the error: "Internet Exploer cannot display the webpage".
After the error appears, I can no longer access the WRT160Nv3 via it's web page interface. I just keep getting the above error message. But I can bring up a command prompt and sucessfully PING the WRT160Nv3. I just can't get back to the WRT160Nv3 router's web interface.
If I wait about 24 hours (or so) the WRT160Nv3 web interface is accessable again.
Why is this happening, how do I correct it and how do I get a list of all the wireless devices connected to my WRT16Nv3 router?
    Thank you.

Okay, I'll assume the solution of resetting (and then recofiguring) the WRT160Nv3 router gets the router's web interface working again.
But how do I see which of my client devices are actually connected to the WRT160Nv3?
Clicking the "wireless client list" button appears to causes a problem for the router's web interface and then requires resetting and reconfiguring the router.
It seems like I still don't have a solution that shows me which devices are connected to the router. And I have to reset and reconfigure the router if I attempt to invistigate which devices are connected to the router.
Any additional insight would be appreciated.
    Thank you;

  • Acces dhcp client list remote

    Dear forum
I would like to keep an eye on my wireless network. I know this is possible from the airport util. by looking at the dhcp client list. however i would like to do this remote as well - while i'm at work or similar.
So far the only way i can think of is to have a computer online at home with remote desktop activated - and then accessing the remote computer from work and through it look at the router.
BUT is there any way to get access to the router direcly from my work?

If you look at the AirPort Utility Advanced panel, Logging & Statistics tab, you'll see a setting for "Allow SNMP over WAN". SNMP is "Simple Network Management Protocol". That's supposed to enable the type of thing you want to do. Beyond that I can't help you, as I've never worked with SNMP software.

  • E4200v2 - DHCP client list NEVER displays

As the most expensive and hyped "consumer router" at the local big-box stores, and after already returning a Netgear N600 that appeared to be defective, I had high hopes that this router would work properly and I could stop fooling with router settings and move on to real work. And I'll acknowledge that for a lot of folks this router will probably be fine. I didn't do any speed measurements or methodical testing, but it seems pretty fast and using it for more than three weeks it seemed reliable. However, it had several issues that were maddening and ultimately for me, unacceptable. Summarized as follows:
    > The DHCP client list NEVER displays all the clients connected on my network, no matter how many times I look. These clients are actively transferring data, and I can download free programs from the web that report all clients reliably. Why is this so difficult??
    > The logging feature is ridiculous - it often didn't log events that I knew had occurred, and even when they were shown, you would only see an entry if you checked the log very quickly after the event (some sort of "auto-flush" function that makes the whole feature pretty useless).
    > The previous issues are annoying - but this was the deal-breaker. I could not connect to an OpenVPN device on my network through this router. I could connect to the device locally, I could connect to other devices remotely through other forwarded ports, and I could see in the log (if I looked quickly enough) that the router was seeing the connection attempt to the OpenVPN device, but it was getting blocked. Many hours searching forums and experimenting with router settings / firmware updates did not help.
    > In the pursuit of resolving the third issue, and with very low expectations, I contacted Linksys tech support. This proved to be a complete waste of time. After working through the front-line guy who only knew how to look through the User's Guide, I was connected to another person who was even more clueless and was almost robotic in his hard-coded sequence of attempts to guide me through silly procedures that had absolutely nothing to do with my problem. After again asking if I could speak to someone that might actually understand the issue I was put on hold for more than 20 minutes, at which point the call was disconnected (I think this means they hung up on me).
So once again I'm returning an expensive router that doesn't work properly and will be trying something else. It shouldn't be this difficult.

With reference to your post I would like to know that does all the client devices on your network runs on DHCP or some of them have static IP address as well? The devices which are running on static IP address will not be displayed in the DHCP client table.
Regarding the logs that are not being created on the router for any event that takes place could be because of the reason that you might be using another router or a gateway before your linksys router.
As far as your VPN issue is concerned please try to disable the firewall of the router and then try to connect to the open VPN device because this router acts like a VPN passthrough. Click on the following link to know how to disable the router's firewall http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=87795adab27b4bd7a432e03be4e28e8d_17347.xml&pid=80&...

  • Variable for Substitution for IN list

    Helllo all
I have a problem... My query contains an IN list... eg.
    select *
    from table
where product in (1, 2, 3, 4)The problem is, I need the same query to be able to process thing based on different product lists.
    eg. (1, 2, 3, 4)
    or
    (1, 5, 33, 87, 299)
    etc.
    How can I do this?
Normally you could just use a variable, but that would only work for a single value.
Is there any way to make a variable of the type of 'list' that IN uses?
    Thanks!
    Sam

I've read the above solution by Tome Kyte (great place for answers:) for doing this and was wondering if someone could give me reasons/suggestions as to
why the solution below is good or bad....
Using the example from question above.
    select *
    from table
    where product in (1, 2, 3, 4);
We accomplish this by doing the following:
First build your list into a variable and make it a string with no quotes, even if it is a number as in this case.
You can do this with various looping methods. Also, use a separator. Here we use a tilda ~ .
So the above product list would look like the following:
    Declare
    v_Product_List := '~1~2~3~4~';
    Begin
    select *
    from table
    where INSTR(v_Product_List, '~'||to_char(product)||'~') > 0;
    End;
I know this isn't comlete but I think you can make it work for what ever case you need.
    Thanks for any feedback,
    Whitney

  • Firefox 4 will not let me keep my bookmarks listed on the side bar. I can open them there but once I click somewhere else they go away.

Firefox 4 will not let me keep my bookmarks listed on the side bar. I can open them there but once I click somewhere else they go away. On previous Firefox versions I could display my bookmark folders down the left side of my screen and just leave them there, accessing saved bookmarks when I needed to. Now with FF4 I can open a vertical column of my bookmark folders by clicking on bookmarks in the navigation bar but this won't stay there; if I click elsewhere they disappear. I could put a bookmark toolbar on my screen but this takes up more vertical space. I have lots of horizontal space that's unused. How can I go back to the display of bookmarks in previous versions?

You can fix that by going to View -> Sidebar and click on Bookmarks.
Or you could simply use a shortcut
    ''control + B''

  • "Wirless Client List" button on WRT160NV3

Has anyone had any joy getting the Wireless -> Wireless Mac Filter -> Wireless Client List  button to work?
I've tried several browsers, and several versions of the firmware (v3.0.02 and v3.0.03) but no joy.
In each case my browser pops open a new empty window and then it appears the webserver running on the WRT160N crashes.  It no longer accepts any more connections on port 80, although continues to operate fine as a wifi router.  I need to powercycle it to get the management web interface working again.
And yes, I did the full "reset-to-factory defaults + reload my configuration" dance after the firmware upgrade.

Whenever you upgrade the firmware on your Router, you don't need to load the configuration on your Router, you need to configure all the settings on your Router from scratch.

  • WRT120N: Wireless Client List - Refresh button useless

    WRT120N:
Wireless --> Wireless MAC Filter --> Enabled --> Wireless client list...
Opening Wireless Client List on WRT120N shows the list of wireless clients connected.
    Add button is working.
    Close button is working
But Refresh button is useless. Even if clients on the lists are already not connected to the router, pressing the Refresh button does nothing. It may add new clients connected but can't determine whether the client disconnects or not. The only way to determine if the client is still connected or not is to Reboot the router (Administration --> Start Reboot).
Refresh doesn't update/remove disconnected clients from the list.
I'm hoping that on future firmware updates for WRT120N, this can be fixed.

Did you try to upgrade/re-flash the firmware on your router?
Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Download the latest firmware from Linksys website and save it on your computer. Upgrade/re-flash the firmware on your router. After upgrading the firmware on your router, reset the router and reconfigure it.

  • MacBook pro and iPhone 3g dont show up in router's dhcp client list.

All of my devices except my MacBook pro and iPhone 3g showup in me dhcp client list. firewall is off on both, router as well as MacBook. what could be the reason.

yes… they do get IPs and since Monday they are on fixed IPs for ISP requirements. All services work fine except downloading from my ISP's Direct Connec Hub. People can download from my machine though. I guess something to do with OS X not being recognized in the dhcp client list. Interestingly windows on my bootcamp does get recognized.
If your devices are connected to your router then they should not have fixed ip addresses assigned by your ISP or by you. They should be set to get their addresses via dhcp from your router. If they have fixed ip addresses this is why they don't show up in the router's dhcp list, the router did not assign them dhcp addresses.

  • Removing MAC from Disabled Clients List

    Hello,
I have been using a CIsco WLC 4400 the past year.  The version is 4.2.173.0.  Over the past month I have started to block equipment I do not want on the wireless network by MAC address in teh disabled clients list.  So far I have 201 devices.  The problem is when I need to take one of those devices off of the disabled clients list it will only show me the first 80 clients.  I do not have a WCS program to control more aspects of this wireless control module.  When I try to download it, I must have a service agreement (which I do not have and do not plan to purchase).  Does anyone know if there is a work around to getting to the rest of the list of disabled MAC's?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mitch

    It looks like this bug:
CSCtb27192 WLC GUI Client Disabled List Truncated
The WLC disabled client list is truncated in the GUI. It only shows 80 entries, with no options for additional pages. The CLI still shows all of the entries.
You can view and remove from the cli though as a workaround.
It looks like they fixed it in the latest wlc code.

  • WRT600N Doesn't show any entries in the Wireless Client List

Hi, my WRT600N is on firmware 1.01.35 build 3. When I check the wireless client list from the Wireless MAC Filter page, it is empty, even though I know I have 3 clients connected. They are all using 802.11g, as I don't have any N devices yet. When I go to the Status page and check the DHCP Client Table, both of my wired clients are there, but only 1 wireless client appears. The DHCP Client Log file is useless, as it only appears to log the ip address it receives from my isp. There are no entries of the ip addresses it has given out. Is my WRT600N defective, or is there firmware in the works to correct this?

Another thing I've notice, is that the DHCP client table is showing the 2.4 wireless devices as LAN interfaces. Shouldn't it show the frequency, like it does my one 5GHz device? Things have changed, because the Wii is now showing in both the Wireless Client List, as well as the DHCP Client table. It shows as a LAN interface though, which is wrong, it should be 2.4GHz. My one pc that is a 5GHz N device, is also showing in both the Wireless Client List, & the DHCP Client table. Neither the wireless 2.4 gaming adapter, or the HR20 connected to it show up in either list. Neither does a laptop which is 2.4GHz. This is really a concern, because I've caught 2 neighbors stealing my bandwidth in the past, and I can't stop them if I can't see them.

  • AirPort Extreme (n model) doesn't show all DHCP clients in client list.

    Hi all,
Wondering if anybody can confirm or deny this occurrence. I noticed that when plugging DHCP clients into the ethernet ports, those hosts do not show up in the DHCP client list. They do appear to get a valid address and work fine, however. I still intend to test whether or not I can assign a static IP to the ethernet client MAC addresses, but I assume that will work fine as well.
In my opinion, if this is confirmed it should be addressed as a bug (albeit minor). Otherwise I'm very pleased with the new Extreme, by the way. Other issues that I don't like are more a matter of convenience than necessity.

MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Ditto to all of the above, but I've got another, maybe related, question.
I have my HP printer hardwired to the router. It is set for a dynamic IP address, so the question of a static IP not showing up isn't the issue.
My problem is that I can't get the client ID to show up in the list. The MAC address is there, the IP address is there, the lease time is there. But no matter what I reset, either on the printer or on the router, I can't get the printer name to show up on the list.
If I pull up the printer in a browser window, it shows the name. I've even tried changing the name a couple of times. Nothing.
No, it doesn't really matter, it still works fine. But it's annoying to me.
