Verizon's tech support does nothing to help

Yesterday our Internet constantly dropped. I initially used livechat to find out what's going on. The tech closed the chat after wasting 20 mins of my time, and I had called after that. I got some guy who was very nice and "seemed" helpful by transferring me to a dept that was closed... Then it hung up on my. I got back in chat and the tech said both times I contacted I was promised a call back if communication was lost. Neither did as promised. Either did this tech after the chat closed yet again and they wasted 20 mins each time looking up my account and verifying my information. Another chat tech again, I asked if it had anything to do with the tower hit by that 18wheeler and they claim nope there are no connection issues, but I am having issues still. The tech ran some line test? And again lost chat. By the 4th tech I was sick and tired of not receiving help nor call backs. Internet was back up by midnight and all they could do was send an email thanking me for contacting them. What happened to hey we kept losing contact are you still having an issues? Was it resolved? Do you still need us? Nothing. I am HIGHLY dissapointed in their service. I've worked server tech and we NEVER TREATED out customers that way.

    Welcome to the Support Communities!
    It doesn't sound like the iTunes software and its components installed completely.  The article below will walk you through some troubleshooting steps.  Is this your first time using iTunes, or do you have an iTunes library from another computer that you want to move to this one?

  • Online tech support says they cant help me?????

    Hello I would like to ask if customer tech support from HP cant help me with my questions because they say they dont support ssd problems tho Big Dave recommended me to get one..... I asked in different thread about installing a SSD to my system. Big Dave recommended the Samsung Evo.
    I purchased it. Did a OS migrate using the software it came with. But before doing anything I backed My Hdd to a external hdd. I purchased the Samsung evo 1tb. Got it installed its software works awesome"migration" and "magician". Reformated my old OEM 3tb hdd . setup my ssd to the sata 3 port and moved my hdd to sata 1 and my dvd is still at sata 2.  After all done never seen such speed in starting apps or booting. EXCEPT FOR ONE thing.. When i finished with everything and everything looked all is well. BUT EVERY TIME  i restarted it i got this: 
     the recovery mode. This was repeated a few hundred times. From researching i found that there was some way to change the boot menu and bios. So i called HP Tech Support the help me. ????
    They didnt have a clue??? After a few hundred reboots only to see this:    They HP tech support did there remote connection to my pc and did there check this and check that only after 90 minutes online with them to tell me there sorry they dont support ssd installation problems to contact samsung. REALLY???
    So with no help from HP i troubleshooted my self and after hours of trial and error found that I could change the boot menu and bios to make it work. Meaning I could restart or shut down and start without it booting to the recovery mode.
    I will post the pics to show my orginal setup in the boot menu and bios and after i changed it. FYI. it reconized both drives. The os migration went without a problem. Everything that was on my OEM HDD was on my SDD, The problem was it would not  boot from the ssd unless I always pressed f6 and told it to boot from it. other wise i got the screen above.
    Here is my system setup before:  as you can see it sees the ssd. It also sees both drives. :  and  and here is what i changed it to:
    and i moved the legacy boot sources with the sata 3 above the sata 1. because I have the SSD hooked into the sata 3 port on the mother board and the oem hdd i moved to the sata 1 port with the dvd still plugged into the sata 2 port.
    NOW IT BOOTS UP IN 32 SECONDS from restart and 61 SECONDS  from complete shut down.
    My Question is two fold to this forum. Will this settup hurt my system in anyway that I am not aware of??????
    Will it still boot from disks or thumb if needed??
    And if everything is Honky Dorey and A OK with this setup . Then why couldnt I get the help from HP on the phone to resolve this rediculously simple change to my system setup and bios to get this to boot correctly????

    Hi Tony,
    Did you download the latest Samsung migration software before your started the migration?
    You should be able to use the Windows Boot Manager to boot by default off the SSD if your "cloning" procedure worked correctly.  However, you don't want to have the original HD connected since it will also have an EFI partition on it and then you might end up with multiple Windows Boot Managers which would be confusing.
    You should use Disk Management to determine that you have in fact cleaned off all of the partitions from the original HD.

    First you can try to force reboot your phone.  To do this:
    1. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button simultaneously.
    2. Let go when the Apple logo appears and the iPhone is booting up.
    If that doesn't work, you might need to hook the phone up to your computer and do a full restore through iTunes.

    Open iTunes on computer. Connect iPhone to computer. If the iPhone is recognized in Recovery Mode, then Restore the Firmware. If not recognized, then hold both Home and Power Buttons until the iPhone is recognized in Recovery Mode. Usually takes about 20 seconds of holding both buttons. Restore the iPhone Firmware.

    I believe part of the recovery process is you get an e-mail allowing you to reset questions.  If that e-mail isn't correct either because your son set it up then you really have no option but to ask Apple again.  They are getting strict abotu security and given the number of "My iTunes account got hacked" posts here I can guess why.  They have no way of knowing you really are the owner of the account.  It's like me going to a policeman and saying, "See that car over there?  That is mine, can you open the door for me?" and the police opening it on that basis alone.

  • Tech Support Does Not Want To Help

    OK, Does anyone know if Technical Support reads these threads or is anyone who reads these in Tech Support?
    I was told by Tech Support 9 days ago that I was being escalated to the next level to figure out why I could not install the Creative Suites 4 Web Premium SE software.  And that was the end of Tech Support's help.  Their answer when you call back is wait longer.  What the heck is that???
    I used to think Dell had the worst Tech Support, NOT ANY MORE.  Adobe is by far the worst and the least knowledgeable and/or least trained!!!!!
    Seriously, if you want to help me install CS4 software, YOU NEED TO BE TALKING TO ME!!!!!  You need to be looking at what my computer is saying in response to what is being tried.
    I am an average user, not a computer expert.  I can not get this software to install on my own.  So Tech Support, if you are out there, HELP ME!!!

    I hate to keep complaining about Adobe, but they are like a Black  Box with

  • Cartridges not detected, tech support a joke. Help!

    Long story as short as I can make it:
    I have a Photosmart C4280
    I recently went to change the print cartridges and when I put the new ones in I got an error message stating that the new print cartridges could not be detected. I tried putting the old ones back in, the printer acknowledged them as the old ones, and then defaulted to the same error message "cartridges not detected" or something like that. 
    I unplugged the printer, then I went through all of the steps to reset it and did the "semi-full reset" and the same message came up again. 
    I got on with tech support, two hours in a chat box, and nothing worked. Same error messages. 
    I got on the phone with a not-so-nice tech person who was zero help as well but did offer me the SAME printer, an "upgrade" for a lousy price. 
    Anyone have any advice/ideas on this one? I can't really afford a new printer, but can't really go without one either. Service will cost the same as a new printer anyway, and I'm super frustrated.

    OK, it seems like the black cartridge is defective and has failed. Also, the color cartridge is out of ink. So i suggest you call HP Tech Support and have them replace the black cartridge for you. And meanwhile, you can replace the empty color cartridge yourself. And before you call them, just make sure you clean the electrical contacts of the black cartridge, and the contacts inside the printer that come in contact with the printer, with a lint free cloth and then try reinserting it. You could also try installing a new black cartridge and see if it works. This is the best way to determine if the problem is with the black cartridge or the printer.

  • Verizon DSL Tech Support and Slow Upload speed

    We have been having considerable issues for 16 months with Verizon DSL and numerous chat sessions/calls to Verizon tech support. They verified that the upload speed was 768Kbps. Every site showed 360 - 370 Kbps. 
    Finally a technician came to the house and confirmed that the maximum upload speed at that location was 384. How could tech support be lying the whole time? Many times I point blank said 'why is the modem set to 448?'. They said the PCs would be faster than that. When the VZ techs come in through our PCs with Citrix remote support, they are dumbfounded that that they only got 27 Kbps - they ALWAYS forgot to realize the Citrix session is taking some the upload bandwidth to see my video - DUH 
    The worst part is the billing. We have been paying for something that is impossible to get. They are only willing to backdate a refund for 3 months because we never raised a billing issue. Um, thats because you lied about the speed.   

    Visit http://192.168.1.1/ and tell me what you see mentioned as both the download and upload speed that the modem reports it being connected at.

    Just delete the app itself.
    Hold down the Facebook app unil it giggles then tap the x then tap Delete
    Press the Home button one time to stop the jiggling.
