I had been following the posts in the forums and watching for about 2.5 years.. (forever and I bit the bullet and bought last night).. I feel like I've been participating the the forums already LOL.
I purchased a brand new computer back in late December just to buy VC then I waited and it was gone... Had to wait a while to get it ... SO I am the MORE excited to get started.
I am going to go back a re-read everything about lighting from the old forum. Gonna get my green screen too ... I feel like its Christmas LOL
Anyway just happy to get started.
By the way is there going to be another essentials dvd. Do you think I could use the one for 2??

Have you rebooted (reset) the phone? If that does not resolve the problem there are a number of diagnostics that you can try. A search of the forum for "battery problem" should be rewarding. You don't need to include the version in the search, as this can happen with any version.

I am getting soooooo screwed and about to get a lawyer!!!

I am completely at the end of my rope with this company and my phone bill! I had unlimited data for years, took full advantage of it by using it as a mobile hotspot and for streaming Netflix into my home. I def got my money's worth over the years, but when it was time for an upgrade on my phone, I was told that I had to give up my unlimited data, that it was no longer available. (Which I have found it since is not true) so I switched to 4GB, (which now is showing up on my phone bill as 2GB, screwed again)
BUT HERE"S THE KICKER!
I bought my phone back in August. I was told that my data that was used previous to switching phone plans, would not reflect on my next billing cycle.
Wrong! Within two weeks, I had a phone bill showing a balance of $1000+!!!
So I called immediately. I was told that it was not something they could take care of, because I bought my phone from an independent Verizon dealer, I had to take it up with them. So I did. Was told it was taken care of, don't worry. That was in August. THis is now December and NOBODY has taken it off my bill! And I am now in collections! I've had my phone shut off several times. I call, they turn it back on, but only temporarily, telling me that I must get this independent dealer to have this taken off my bill. I go to them, they tell me that it has to go thru 5 levels for the highest guy on the totem pole to okay it and take it off. All these months later, this ******* apparently hasn't gotten the memo. I ask to call him myself. I am told that even they do not have this number, that it has to go thru 5 people to get to him. ***!!!???? NOBODY CAN TAKE THIS OFF MY BILL? In the mean time, since this has all started, my phone has been shut off several times, and this time after reconnecting it, i can no longer be heard when i call someone. THey told me that that has nothing to do with it. That now i must buy another phone. This is all such ******* ********! My phone worked perfectly fine until the last time they reconnected it! VERIZON! I AM CONTACTING A LAWYER THIS WEEK! My hands are tied, nobody can help me, all i get is the runaround and my phone shut off and reconnected. But no credit to my bill. THis is a nightmare! I have always paid my bills with you. I never had these problems when i was dealing with Alltell. I am contacting a lawyer, and then I a mmoving on to another provider once I am out from under this mess! And tho your customer service reps are always very friendly and have done everything in their power to help me, they too are completely helpless to my situation. I know they feel bad and I have been impatient with them even tho this is not their fault. You have quite the monopoly going on. **** a person on their phone bill and then make it utterly impossible to undo the damage by putting helpless mouths on the phone. Yes, I understand what you are saying. The day I purchased my new phone, as well as changed my plan, I was told that all data used previously would be rolled back into the last billing cycle and would NOT reflect onto the next billing cycle. But they did mess it up, that's not what they did and it was up to them to correct. The retailer that I bought the phone from. And then was told on numerous occasions, that it was being taken care of, do not worry. That this would be off my bill within a week. In the meantime, it never leaves my bill. I call and talk with Verizon themselves and to the independent retailer that caused this mess in the first place. Neither can seem to solve anything for me. Who am I supposed to even write to? They won't even give me a contact to anyone that could ever expedite this process. I have never gone over my 2 GB's that I currently have on the new plan. I removed mobile hotspot immediately and purchased internet at home and now use Wifi, both here and at work. So that was never the problem. They are charging me for data that I used when I was still under an unlimited plan.
Thank you for your advice, I will be filing a claim with small claims, as well as sending something in writing to whoever. Though, I highly doubt it gets anyone's attention or this problem solved. Hopefully a lawsuit will. At this point, I am not really concerned of the cost or time, it's now about the principle of the matter! I've already wasted HOURS on the phone and at the local retail store.

As noted earlier, this magnified/large screen seems to be related to the Zoom settings (Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> Zoom). It can be turned off permanently there or more simply this "feature" can be toggled using a 3-finger double-tap. Also, a 3-finger drag motion can help navigate when you're in this zoomed mode. IPhone5S oveheating problem and would not get starting up untill bettery discharged.

It's been 3-4 months that I have brought iPhone5S. I am also facing overheating and bettery dranage issue with my iPhone5S. It's getting damm hot and restart it self. once my phone shutdown in this scenario, it never started till all of my bettery is not drained. After that I need to charge the bettery again and my phone is started. I have faced this issue twicely in last week.
If I am tying to start my iPhone during this situation then some weared screen shown on the iPhone. Sometime it shows apple logo with half yellow and white screen while sometimes it shows startup screen and then never started. My iPhone continuously being hotter untill my whole bettery is not discharged.
I need to know the possible reason behind this issue as well as the resolution.

Basics from the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new device. If you've tried ALL these steps and the problem persists, bring the phone to Apple for evaluation.

Just curious: Wondering about the "Getting Started" window

I'm rather liking the "Getting started with Acrobat Standard 8" window that pops up when you first start Acrobat. So much so in fact that I'm thinking I'd like to use a similar device for a product I'm documenting. I'm curious to know if anybody has a general idea of the coding behind it. Is it Telerik or AJAX or tricked-out PDF or...? Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!

Satellite A300D - Fan running very loud and notebook is getting very hot

I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction as what to do with the overheating problem i currently have with my A300D. I have had the laptop for under a year so it is still under warrenty but i am not sure where to go or what to do in order to repair it.
The problem: Around two months ago I noticed the fan running very loud and also the laptop becoming very hot. Now it runs so hot the laptop switches itself off completly. The heat being fanned out of the laptop is so hot! burns your my infact.
Has any one any advice they could offer me.

The notebook should be cleaned every 3-4 months and I do this every 3 months. Every time I do it Im wondering how much dust comes out and after this procedure the notebook is a lot of cooler.

It looks like you are writing your data to disk every so often. For that reason, I recommend making it based on the number of samples you have instead of the time. With that you can preallocate your arrays with constants going into the shift registers. You then use Replace Array Subset to update your arrays. When you write to the file, make sure you go back to overwriting the beginning of your array. This will greatly reduce the amount of time you spend reallocating memory and will reduce your memory usage.

When I try to send a text on iMessage it would say not delivered and it kept on doing that do I signed out and tried to sign back in on the app and it said 'get started' then it said enter your apple Id password so I did then it said an error occured?!?!

Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using. FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in. This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly. By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you. Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

HT201412 my Iphone 4 just went dead without warning and is not getting started even after putting it up for charging. Any Suggestions guys???

I have an Iphone4 and i am living in SA.
Today in the morning, my Iphone4 just went dead without any warning.
It is in this dead mode even after i tried charging it.
If i connect it to itunes, i find that the itunes is unable to detect the iphone.
And to my disappointment, i believe there is no apple store in SA.
Any suggestion guys???????

Try a reset:
- hold the home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time for atleast 15 seconds
- if you see the Apple logo appear rlease both buttons
If that fails try charging the iPhone while plugged into the wall adaptor and also while plugged into the computer. Try cahrging both ways for atleast 15-20 minutes. Also while its plugged into the computer check and see if the computer or iTunes will recognise that the iPhone is connected.
