Viewing Reports on a remote computer - SCOM/SCCM

Hi,
We are having an issue in which I am hoping somebody will be able to assist with.  Both are at 2012 R2 version.
1. We have SCOM and SCCM installed on the same server.
2. We have 2 instances of SSRS running on this server as well, one for SCCM and 1 for SCOM.
3. The SCCM instance is running off the default instance and the SCOM instance is running off a named instance.
The issue that we are having is as follows:
Operations Manager Reports tab doesnt populate on a Remote Computer that has the operations manager console installed.  It works fine when directly connecting to the server.
When trying to open the Web Console from a remote computer we get an unexpected error has occured with the following error log.
Please provide the following information to the support engineer if you have to contact Microsoft Help and Support :

When trying access Report Subscriptions list we get the following error:

SCCM reports populate properly both on the server as well as on a remote SCCM client.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks

Hi,
First please try below steps:
1. Open an elevated cmd-prompt
2. Go to the folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319 and execute these two commands:
aspnet_regiis -i –enable
aspnet_regiis -r
If above action cannot resolve this issue, I would like to suggest you remove the Web Console feature, and re-do prerequisite and reinstall it:
Start SCOM 2012 installation and select to remove a feature. Remove Web Console feature.
Run some powershell commands to install the prerequisites:
Import-Module ServerManager
Add-WindowsFeature NET-Framework-Core,Web-Static-Content,Web-Default-Doc,Web-Dir-Browsing,Web-Http-Errors,Web-Http-Logging,Web-Request-Monitor,Web-Filtering,Web-Stat-Compression,AS-Web-Support,Web-Metabase,Web-Asp-Net,Web-Windows-Auth –restart
Run the following command from elevated command prompt to register the ASP .NET 4 with IIS.
c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -r
Next the command to allow the Asp .Net 4 ISAPI/CGI.
c:\windows\system32\inetsrv\appcmd set config /section:isapiCgiRestriction /[path=`'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll`'].allowed:True
Restart the server
Run SCOM 2012 setup and select to add a feature and add the Web Console feature.
Hope it helps.

  • I cannot view reports on an remote console

    Hello,
I installed System Center Service Manager 2012 R2 console on a Windows 8 machine. It cannot connect to the SQL Reporting Services server. So I cannot see any report. But I can see everything if I access the Report Manager website on this machine.
However, the local console works as expected. And I installed some other consoles, which are all worked.  Where can I start to troubleshoot this issue?
    Thanks!
    Yog Li

If you use proxy into IE, you need add your server with scsm reports to exceptions for your browser.
SCSM console uses http url for  connect to reports.

  • I have a vi that produces images sequentially, i'm looking for a way to view these images real time on a remote computer on the LAN

If someone could walk me through the steps and controls it would really help.

You may try to create an picture control on your local computer and use Datasocket to broadcast over LAN. On your remote computer, use another VI with a picture control and use Datasocket to receive the same image.
To create datasocket connection, right click on the front panel picture control, Data Operations>>Data Socket Connection... Create a Publishing DataSocket on local computer and a Subscribing DataSocket on the remote computer. Remember to start the DataSocket Server from the Labview directory.

  • Error trying to create a Power View report against a Multi Dimensional SSAS cube

    Hi all,
We have installed the Power View For Multidimensional Models CTP, released last November 27 on our Analysis Server instances.  I am now trying to create a Power View report in SharePoint that is connected to a Multi-Dimensional cube.
I have followed the instructions diligently:
    1. Install the CTP
    2. Created a data connection of type "Microsoft BI Semantic Model for Power View" (see attachment #1)
    3. Tested that the connection was valid (all is good here!)
I then select the "Create Power View Report" option from the data connection that I created above.
The Power View GUI appears, and then throws an error:

  • No more connections available to this remote computer...Urgent Help for File server...

    Hi Guys,
I need urgent help regards to our school File server which is having "No more connection to this remote computer error"
on SMB Shares where I usually authenticate with a domain username it used to work fine since till 3 weeks ago.
Now I can browse the SMB shares with only IP... Netbios gets straight away this error message from non-domain joined pc's where the computer needs to connect to the SCCM distribution point on this file server.
Strangely, Domain joined pc's does not have this problem at all they can use Netbios or IP no problem at all. But someone from a standalone laptop or desktop who needs to access shares through netbios gets this message.
    Can someone help me please?
I did check DNS yet there is no problem on DNS I checked PTR record for the server to make sure it is not turned in to multihome accidently but nothing at all.
I also did a NETMON where I captured the data from server and the client I get these errors:

    Solution has been found,
After doing bit of a backtrack, site DC's were out of sync with PDC with time.
Also Time service was shutdown on PDC which has been enabled and pointed to the Australian pool ntp IP address.
Everything is back on track now.

  • Get-DfsrBacklog cmdlet doesn't work from remote computer (pssession)

    Hi there!
I try to manage our Server 2012 R2 boxes from a Windows 7 remote machine using PowerShell. For some reason the cmdlet "Get-DFSRbacklog" seems not working remotly. The same cmdlet work when logging in locally to the server(s) with the
same credentials. UAC is turned off on the target machines and i have local admin permissions on this servers using my domain account.
    What i do is:
    Enter-PSSession <servername>
    Get-DfsrBacklog -SourceComputerName <servername> -DestinationComputerName <servername>
Then i receive the following error:
Get-DfsrBacklog : Could not retrieve the backlog information. Replication group: "*" Replicated folder: "*" Source
computer: <servername> Destination computer: <servername> Confirm that you are running in an elevated Windows PowerShell
session and are a member of the local Administrators group on the destination computer. The destination computer must
also be accessible over the network, and have the DFSR service running. This cmdlet does not support WMI calls for the
following or earlier operating systems: Windows Server 2012. Details: WinRM cannot process the request. The following
error with errorcode 0x8009030e occurred while using Kerberos authentication: A specified logon session does not
exist. It may already have been terminated.
     Possible causes are:
-The user name or password specified are invalid.
-Kerberos is used when no authentication method and no user name are specified.
-Kerberos accepts domain user names, but not local user names.
-The Service Principal Name (SPN) for the remote computer name and port does not exist.
-The client and remote computers are in different domains and there is no trust between the two domains.
After checking for the above issues, try the following:
-Check the Event Viewer for events related to authentication.
-Change the authentication method; add the destination computer to the WinRM TrustedHosts configuration setting or
    use HTTPS transport.
Note that computers in the TrustedHosts list might not be authenticated.
-For more information about WinRM configuration, run the following command: winrm help config.

    Any ideas?

    This article
suggests that you're logged into your Win7 management machine with local credentials. You should try the Get-DfsrBacklog command with domain credentials:
Client is in a domain: Attempting to connect to a remote server by using implicit credentials that are the local administrator's credentials on the client. Instead, use domain credentials that are recognized by the domain of the target server, or right-click
the server entry in the Servers tile, click Manage As, and then specify credentials of an administrator on the target server.

  • The charts are cleared when viewing a front panel remotely

Every time when a new client connects to the Web Server with the intention
to view a front panel remotely using a Browser, the charts are cleared on
server and all connected clients. Just the same happen when the user on
client computer pushes the refresh button in Browser. This behavior is new

How to prevent this behavior in LabVIEW 7?
    Thank you

    Bojane,
This is a known issue with LabVIEW 7 with charts and remote panels. Our R&D engineers are aware of the issue, and are working on the solution for the next release of LabVIEW. For now, the only workaround is to use graphs instead of charts.

  • Windows VPN: Error 720 - A connection to the remote computer could not be established

    Dear all
    I have a windows7 Laptop 64bit Dell 1340.
I was working with a UMTS card, was connected with a VPN to a windows 2003 server over PPTP and experienced a bluescreen. After this, I have the following errors when connecting to the VPN:
"Registering your computer on the network... Error 720: A connection to the remote computer could not be established. You might need to change the network settings for this connection"
and in the event view I receive the following:
    EventID: 1, Source RasSstp
CoId={A3478DFD-FFA4-4E8F-9DA3-CE829BDA777B}:The initial Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol request could not be successfully sent to the server. This can be due to network connectivity issues or certificate (trust) issues. The detailed error message is provided below. Correct the problem and try again.
I tried to use the Rarepair.exe tool but it looks to work only on windows xp. I deleted the IP and TCP settings without any luck.
I run a registry cleaner as well with out any luck.
Your help will be greatly appreciated!
    Marc

    Hi,
Since it worked previously, a quick solution is to run System Restore and get back to the previous status when the issue didn’t occur.
If system restore doesn’t help, please also try the following:
    1.    Check if you can establish the VPN via other connections except the connection through the UMTS card.
    2.    Reset the PPTP and L2TP WAN miniport with running the following commands one by one in an elevated command prompt:
    Netcfg -u MS_L2TP
    Netcfg -u MS_PPTP
    Netcfg -l %windir%\inf\netrast.inf -c p -i MS_PPTP
    Netcfg -l %windir%\inf\netrast.inf -c p -i MS_L2TP
Then reboot the computer and see how it works.
Meanwhile, I would like to share the following with you for your reference:

  • Error 720 a connection to the remote computer could not be established win 8

hello, i have this error on my windose 8, error 720 a connection to the remote computer could not be established ,for VPN connection,  how can i fix it ?

    Hi,
For this issue,I would like to know your VPN protocol.
Did you use Windows in-built VPN client?
I think the issue is related to your security software or Firewall.
Let’s temporarily disable other security software and Windows firewall to check if that helps.

  • Executing powershell script from remote computer using RSAT

    Hi.
I want to execute powershell script on AD server from remote computer (in the same domain). I installed and tested RSAT - it is working fine. But i cant execute PS from c# code.
    ps.Commands.AddCommand("Import-Module").AddArgument("ActiveDirectory");
    ps.Invoke();
    ps.Commands.AddCommand("Get-ADOrganizationalUnit -Filter 'Name -like \"*\"'");
    var res = ps.Invoke();
     And i get exception:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.Management.Automation.CommandNotFoundException' occurred in System.Management.Automation.dll
Additional information: The term 'Get-SBNamespace' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

    Hi
    CapitanPlanet
    For the
CommandNotFoundException, it means the command cannot be found.
On the other hand, your issue is about the PowerShell, if you still have the issue, I suggest that you should post it in the
    PowerShell forum for efficient response.
Here are some useful information, please check

  • SSRS: "View Report" button doesn't refresh parameter dropdowns

So many people have asked similar questions about why SSRS report parameters are not refreshed when "View Report" button is clicked and MSDN simply comes back with an answer "work as designed". It's a bad design, period.
Here is my suggestion to Microsoft team who works on SSRS: either add a "Refresh Parameters" button at the end of the last parameter dropdown so users can force reload the parameter list, or add "Reload
Report" after "View Report" button (which should be re-named "Refresh Report" more precisely) to allow user reload the entire report (as if it was Ctrl-F5 is pressed in I.E.), not just to refresh the main report dataset as "Review
    Report" button is currently doing.

    Hi Steve Liu,
Thanks for your suggestion and you can also submit this suggestion at

If the suggestion mentioned by customers for many times, the product team may consider to add the feature in the next SQL Server version. Your feedback is valuable for us to improve our products and increase the level

  • Crystal 2008, BO XI 3.1, cannot view reports, UserID password dialog shows

    Hello Forum,
We have Crystal Reports 2008 installed on XP machine, and Business Objects XI 3.1 on a Windows Server 2008 machine. We can view sample reports on Server machine in CMC (right click view in report folder)
We can also view samples reports in BusinessObjects on XP machine. However if we create a report (simple report with no parameters) on XP machine and save to BusinessObjects server, then try and open report, we get a dialog indicating 'Further information is required' and User Id and Passworsd test box show.
This dialog shows repeatedly even when we enter credentials relevant to database/report. I have looked in .pdf documentation and forum and not had any success in resolving this. Any help would be appreciated, The report database is SQL Server,
    Thanks,
    Paul James

DB 'Connection' in Crystal Report (2008) and DNS on BusinessObject (XI 3.1) machine need to be the same, to view report via Central Management Console
In .NET code calling report against SQL Server (2008) database, Crytal Connection needs to be Microsoft OLE DB SQL Provider for SQL Server.

  • Rsh - connecting using user name that does not exist on remote computer

    hi
is it possible to connect to a remote computer as, for example John, if user account John does not exist on the remote computer but is listed in .rhosts?
this is what i have written in .rhosts on the remote computer ( Work ):
    home root
    home John
    when I connect as root:
    rlogin -l root Work
everythings fine, but when I try to connect as John I get the incorrect login message
I know the message above probably answers my question, but I want to be sure

If the user id exists, you can bypass the authentication with .rhosts or /etc/hosts.equiv files; but you can't login to a remote machine as an anonymous user.
