Vip address not responding

I am testing our new CSS 11501s (which are going to replace our old LocalDirectors), and have setup a little lab like so:
Test PC
|
Router

| e5
CSS
e1 e2
| |
Srv1 Srv2
I cannot seem to get the configured vip addreses to work, however I can connect to the actual webserver ips on port 80 (which are directly connected to ports 1 & 2). Any idea why it is not working?
Here is my config:
interface e1
bridge vlan 100
interface e2
bridge vlan 200
interface e5
trunk
vlan 100
vlan 200
circuit VLAN100
ip address 10.10.100.100 255.255.255.0
circuit VLAN200
ip address 10.10.200.100 255.255.255.0
service www_eth0
ip address 10.10.100.2
keepalive type http
active
service www_eth1
ip address 10.10.200.2
keepalive type http
active
owner webowner
content eth0
port 80
protocol tcp
add service www_eth0
vip address 10.10.100.25
active
content eth1
protocol tcp
port 80
add service www_eth1
vip address 10.10.200.25
active

I think you get no response from the vip because you have no default route on the CSS pointing at your router.
If you do have a default route, capture a 'show summary' and 'sho service summary' to verify that the content rules are active.

Gilles.

  • VIP is not responding When pinging from ace

hey i have a very strange type of error. everything was working fine untill it just stopped. i have two vips both were mounted and working fine and then one of the vip just stopped working you can ping and get reply from my pc but not from ace. they are connected directly with nexus 5k and was working fine. now you can have reply from for other vips and servers and all other thing but not that single vip. when you ping it on nexus you get DUP; Packets which is not understood by me there is all commands like no ip redirects are been given but i dont know wats rong.
can some1 have any idea and help ?

    Hi Usman,
Not sure about DUP packets that you see on nexus but from ACE's perspective we need to see what is wrong and for that i would need to look at your configuration and other outputs. Do you see that your client's request is reaching the ACE VIP ? You can check using "show conn address " and see if you see a corresponding backend connection or not. Do you see any handshake failures or any other counters increasing under "show stats crypto server" command? We need to have more information for us to look at to tell you what is going on at least from ACE's viewpoint.

  • Hsrp problem....hsrp address not responding

    Hi
I'm hoping I can get some opinions on this. I have 2 7200 routers with 2 gig interfaces each. Each gig interface is connected to 2 stacked 3750 switches. I have sub interfaces configured on both the gig interfaces so they are essentially dot1q to the 3750 switches. I have specified a hsrp group for each subinterface on the 7200s. My problem is that when I have 1 of the 7200 routers acting as hsrp active for some groups and the other 7200 acting as hsrp active for other groups hosts lose connectivity to their hsrp address for one of the routers. i.e no response to pings yet correct mac address in arp table. All works well when I make either one of the routers the hsrp active for all of the groups. Any ideas?
    r1----3750----hosts
    \/ | <--stack
    /\ |
    r2----3750----hosts

config for one router is below. The other router is the same apart from the track command and the priority is 155. The 2 3750s have the vlans configured and dot1q trunks to both of the routers 2 gig ports.
the show standby at the moment shows the correct info ie the correct router is active for all the groups...

  • I am getting "dns server not responding"

I am staying in a hotel and my 3gs iphones keep getting "dns server not responding"  my computers work fine in my room.  My iphones don't but if I walk out in the hallway the iphones work fine. Help?

Found what was the problem on my configuration.
Since NLB VIP did not respond when traffic was going from other networks (Internet  included) i had to reconfigure NLB from unicast to multicast. Then thing started to work but i had DNS resolution error.
    Solution:
A BUG! When you change NLB cluster type, ipv6 that is configured on it gets removed so you have to enter it again. That's the same IPV6 IP under Infrastructure servers - DNS that ends with :3333::1 for your .domain.local

  • AT-MIO-16XE-50 device is not responding to the selected base address

I'm trying to install my AT-MIO-16XE-50 DAQ board onto my Windows NT desktop computer, but I'm having trouble.
Here's what I've done: I've installed LabView 5.1 and the NIDAQ 7.0 software onto my computer first. Then I've physically installed the DAQ board into my computer. After starting the computer, the plug-and-play system seems to recognize the new hardware and install drivers for it. It then says I need to reboot the computer, so I reboot the computer.
When I then look at my device manager, it lists AT-MIO-16XE-50 twice. Under the properties/resources tab, one of them lists "input/output range", "interrupt request", "direct memory access", and "direct memory access" (i.e., 2 "direct memory access"s). The second one only lists "direct memory access" once and nothing else under the properties/resources tab. Also, the first one says that it is working properly while the second one says that it is not working properly (Code 10). I've played around with chaging the "direct
memory access" numbers and after rebooting the computer have gotten both AT-MIO-16XE-50's in the device manager to say that they're working properly. So, now the DAQ board appears to be installed correctly, because the device manager reports no problems with it. However, there are still 2 of them. My first question is this: should there be only 1 entry in the device manager list, or are there supposed to be the 2 that I see? The entries do appear to be different from each other, but they're for the same device, so that's a little confusing.
When I open my Measurement and Automation explorer, only one AT-MIO-16XE-50 device is listed (so this looks good), and under "properties" all 3 "direct memory access" numbers are listed. So, this all seems good. But, when I click on "test resources" or "test panel", I get an error message saying that "the device is not responding to the selected base address". Considering that this device was plug-and-play, and I did not set the base address manually, I don't understand why I'm getting this error message.
What I've tried is to change the "input/output range" number by using the device manager. I've tried a few different settings (rebooting the computer after each change) and none of the different "input/output range" settings seem to work.
I'd appreciate it if you could give me any help on figuring out how to resolve this "not responding to base address" problem. The info on your web site
appears to suggest flipping dip-switches on the DAQ card, but my card does not have any dip switches because it is plug-and-play. So, right now I'm
clueless! Thanks for reading this, and I hope that you have more insight than I do.

    Smaria,
The AT-MIO-16XE-50 shows up twice in the Device Manager because it reserves three DMA channels, and the ISA bus only allows two DMA channels per ISA slot. You mentioned that you were able to get both devices working properly in the Device Manager. Below is a link to a KnowledgeBase that describes the proper procedure to successfully accomplish this. You should verify that this is the procedure you followed:

  • Outlook 2013 Not Responding and Offline Address Book Issues with Office 365

Around 3 months ago I setup a small business with Office 365 for email. They have 10 PCs, all running newly installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, eight with Office 2013 and two with Office 2010. All are connected to a local domain (Server Essentials
2012) with a single internet connection through a new TP-LINK router. Each user logs into their own PC only.
The network runs perfectly, internet connection is good but there seems to be RANDOM, INTERMITTENT issues with email not being SENT from Outlook every so often. Email will sit in the outbox for up to an hour sometimes before, eventually, being sent. Incoming
email seems ok, although this is more difficult to tell. At others times, email will be sent instantly - the size of the message and any attachments makes no difference.
The issue has happened at some point on every one of the PCs but no particular PC/user seems worse than any other. When email is stuck on one user's PC it can still be sent ok by other users at the same time - so the internet connection is not down. Users can
can always login to the OWA service ok and iPhones etc. all sync ok even when email is stuck in the Outbox.
To debug the issue I have worked on one particular user's PC and carried out the following changes -
    Changes that made no difference
I have checked the router. A SPI firewall is available on the router but this is switched off.
I have changed the MTU on the router with no effect.
There are no unsual add-ins to Outlook
Outgoing email virus scanning is disabled
Outlook is NOT integrated with Lync
The OST file is around 1.7 GBytes is size.
I have recreated the Outlook profile twice but this made no difference
Switched OFF "Cached Exchange Mode" - this made things worse !
The Outlook address book is set to \Offline Global Address List
I have disabled with Windows firewall on the client PC - no change
I have adjusted the KeepAliveTime for packets in the registry of the PC to 20 minutes
Changes that reduced the frequency of "Not Responding"
I have changed the Outlook automatic Send/Receive time from 30 to 10 minutes - this seemed to help
    Possible Related Problem
I have attempted to download the offline address book manually - this hangs at "Copying offline address book template file" in the Send/Receive dialog and there a NO OAB files in the data file location on the PC.
So the only measure that has so far "helped" has been the Outlook Send/Receive time change - now set to 10 minutes. Even so, Outlook will occasionally go "Not Responding" for 30 minutes or more (no windows active - only option
is to close and reopen Outlook).
There does seem to be a problem with the Offline Address book. I can download this ok for this user on my home PC (Outlook 2010) but this will not download manually on the work pc with Outlook 2013 (despite following all the debug steps above).
On work PC I can see literally hundreds of "Schannel" errors in the Windows System event logs -
    Error - Event 36888 Schannel
The following fatal error was generated :10
The internal error state is 10
These errors occur every 2-4 minutes continually all the time Outlook is running. When Outlook is closed the "Schannel" errors stop !
Can anyone suggest what else to try, please ?
I have already investigated this issue on the Office 365 Community Forum, and the Outlook forum and they suggested that it was a client (i.e Outlook) issue and that I should post here for further information.
    Thanks for reading !

    An update to this problem.
I brought one of the office PCs back to my home network and connected it up there. With no changes to the PC I was immediately able to download the Offline Address Book without errors.
This suggests to me that there must be some problem with the internet connection or router setup in the office environment.
The router is a TP-LINK W8970. The internet connection is PPPoA. I have seen some suggestion that an SPI firewall can cause issues. This router has an SPI firewall but this feature is disabled on the router.
While investigating this issue I have frequently been connected remotely to an office PC - sometimes for up to an hour or more. During these periods I have not experienced any connection dropouts so the actual internet connection seems to be ok (i.e. it is
    not dropping out).
However, something seems to be preventing the Outlook client from connecting properly with the Office 365 Exchange server in the office environment - or something is dropping the connection to Outlook. Does anyone know of any router settings that might affect
    this ?
I could try changing the office router but I do not have a spare available. Can anyone suggest a reasonably low cost, currenbtly available router that they know definitely works in the Office 365 environment so that I could buy this for test purposes ?

    Nvd,
I'm sorry to hear about the problems that you are running into with your DAQCard. I can understand your frustration with the errors that you are seeing. You mention that you have tried to do some troubleshooting, I was wondering if you have tried all the troubleshooting techniques listed in this KnowledgeBase:
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/DCFCDB240788F8D486256D6A00834D80?OpenDocument
If you have tried all of those things, I would suggest one additional thing to try. I would suggest updating your NI-DAQ drivers to version 7.0. These drivers are the newest versions of our Data Acquisition Drivers, and can be downloaded from our website here:

I have each time try to change the number of the card by the use of Measurement and automation explorer 2.0 but with no success.
How can I do to use again this card?
I really thank you for any response.
    NICOLAS Gabriel.

    Hey Nicolas,
Try opening up the Reset Device.vi inside of LabVIEW and execute the VI. All you have to do is set the correct device number and check that the error returned is 0 and not another error number. In many cases a crashed program can cause the devices to enter into an unsafe state that they need to be reset from.
It is possible that you damaged the device and that it will need to be sent in for repair, but in most cases a reset will fix the issue. Also, try opening up MAX and right-click on Traditional NI-DAQ Devices under Devices and Interfaces and click on reset Traditional NI-DAQ. If that doesn't work try the Device reset under DAQmx as well.
    I hope this helps out.

  • I am not able to telnet my content rule VIP address

I am not able to telnet my content rule VIP address and port number. But I am able to direct to telnet to service servers, which are added into the content rule set. Can anyone tell me why. I have update the latest WEBOS 5.00 Build 69. The content switch model is 11050. thank you very much .

Is possible one armed and in line in the same content switch ?
Currently I have some content rule are using one armed solution, there is only one rule I need to make the server see the original IP. I guess my question is , can I have this rule use in -line solution only, so I will not have to impact other rules set.
The other question since this content rule's service sever have only one interface only, Can I have this in-line solution go in the content switch and come out content switch in the same server farm switch ? Thank you for all the help.

  • TS2481 Address book "not responding" after troubleshooting SyncServices. Anyone else have this problem?

I had been having an issue with contacts repeatedly duplicating and sometimes disappearing in my address book. This appeared to be a problem with SyncServices, so I followed the steps to troubleshoot SyncServices, archived my contacts, de-duplicated them, cleared the caches and restarted.
I was able to load my contacts back into the address book, but after attempting to de-duplicate again, I started to get the rainbow wheel and the address book is "Not Responding." Force quitting and rebooting have had no effect.
    Any advice?

My Address book was not opening anymore and went to "not responding". Forced stop did not resolve the issue.
Most likely to be an icloud issue. Try switching off contacts in your icloud settings in the configuration icon of your Mac. Delete contacts as otherwise you will end up with all duplicate contacts. If you have any contacts stored on your mac, be aware that when switching contacts in iCloud on again, all will be uploaded into iCLoud. So if you don't watn, export and delete before switching back on.
    This solved it for me.

"The error could be happening for a variety of reasons. The first thing I would do is to visit www.ni.com/support/daq and follow the installation procedure, which includes troubleshooting steps on the error you are receiving.
If that doesn't work then try to install the board in another computer with no other devices installed. This will test to make sure the board is not bad. If all else fails call National Instruments and have someone troubleshoot the board and return and repair it if necessary."

I have removed that service policy completely.  It was from some knowledgebase article when I was trying to get http redirection working.
There is no more L4LSBPOLICY nor L4VIPCLASS, Thanks a lot for looking at this...

  • Search on the address book do not responds

Hi! I´m a begginer and I have an issue with my address book. After add a couple of birthdays (which are synchronized with iCal), search on the address book do not responds.
    Anyone Knows anything about that?
    Thanks!

I found the solution. The answer is just unmark "sync contacts with icloud" on system pref, select "delete contacts from your mac". And then turn on "sync contacts with icloud". Thas All.
PD: don´t forget to check all your contacts back up on icloud.com
