We tried to isolate our problem but with no results
When we compress an iMovie and we play it back in Quick Time it is fine and then at some random point the screen is reduced and a pixulated distortion appears on the right of the screen. The picture is squeezed horizontally. The iMovie is fine. We are using JVC GZ-HD3U Camera, Mac OS X (10.5.4), Quick time player 7.5 We are tried to isolate the problem. We uploading the iMovie to another computer. We compressed the movie in QT and got a partial piece of another clip in the screen throughout the movie. We uploaded movies previously on each computer and had no problems. Our settings have not changed between the movies, we had made previously and movies which we encountered problems with. Surely we are not the only ones to encounter this problem. Is there an alternative to QT?

It's not clear to me what the issue is in which you'd like a solution to, but if you need to restart your Apple TV, then please follow the directions below.
Restart your Apple TV by selecting Settings > General > Restart.
If you can't restart your Apple TV because it's unresponsive, try the following:
Hold down Menu and Down on the Apple Remote for six seconds, and then release when you see the indicator light on the Apple TV blink rapidly.
Unplug the Apple TV power cord for three seconds, and then plug it back in.

The lexis nexis dictionary app apparently isn't supported by the new ios system. I tried to report a problem but it lead me here. Please advise.

My ipad mini refuses to join home wifi connection. It is trying to do so continuously but with no success. I tried to reset all settings. Switched wifi off and then back on. Nothing works. The rest of devices are fine with the wifi. What shall I do next?
Maybe reboot your router. Unplug it for about 30 seconds or so and then plug it back in. Reboot your iPad while the router is powering up.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
i am trying to download snow leopard, but with around 46 mins to go, a message appears saying, my coup is going to restart,it does but with just the apple logo,and white screen, nothing else,can anybody help? jib.

What do you mean by "download"? Only updates are available as downloads, the System software has to be installed from a DVD. -
When trying to update an app, it partially downloads and then displays the message "unable to download item" Please try again later. This happens on any app I try. I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling with same results. What can I do?
I have the same thing happening on my iPod Touch 5th gen. Been happening for at least a month. I have updated to the most recent version of iOS which hasn't solved the issue. Must be a bug that they didn't get around to resolving yet, a year later. Really annoying to have it pop up when you are in the middle of a game though.

Sound card problems but with yet another sound card

I got the MSI K8T Neo FIS2R just a few weeks ago and it really does kick arse but with only one not so big problem.
I have this Hercules Muse DVD 5.1 that works perfectly fine with my previous config (Athlon XP 1800+, ECS K7S5A). But with the K8T with onboard sound disabled, it will play music for a while then freeze then give me a plain black screen. ... That's not cool.
I have, of course, installed the latest hercules (C-Media) and VIA drivers as well as the latest BIOS.
If anyone could help me solve this problem,

I bought a song on iTunes. When I tried to download it all my music disappeared .i tried to report the problem via the report problem from my iTunes receipt it says it can't connect to iTunes. I. Can download new apps. Where is my music. I'm not at my home computer so I can't check there or redownload it
Never mind. I think I figured it out.

After updating the software on my I phone 4s it downloaded my entire i tune library to my phone. I have tried everything to correct this problem with no results. Does anyone have a fix for this. I do not want the entire lirary of music on my phone

Trying to import messages to mail, with mixed results...
I have a new laptop, so I'm trying to transfer the Archive folder in Mail (on my old laptop) to the new laptop. Both are running the latest versions of Mountain Lion.
There are 20,000 messages in the Archive. But when I export it, and then import on the new machine, I'm left with only 5000 of the most recent ones.
Here's the process I'm following - am I doing something wrong?
1. Select Archive on old Mac
2. Right click, Export Mailbox, save the mbox file to external hard drive.
3. Plug external hard drive into new Mac.
4. File > Import Mailboxes > Import Data from Apple Mail, select mbox file and Continue.
5. An Import folder is created in Mail, but with only 5000 messages rather than the 20,000 I started with.
Any ideas, friends?Thank you Alberto, I will try that tomorrow. I just assumed that export/import would, you know, export/import. But your way sounds way more intuitive .

I have tried all the steps as suggested by the community partners i.e. uninstall/reinstall itunes (number of times). If I plug my ipad 2 on my office PC which has itunes, it is recognised immediately. My lap top does not show 'NEW HARDWARE FOUND" as iPad. It just says new hardware found and shows scanner and camera hardware recognised. In my opinion there could be programme file which is having conflict with ipad 2 recognisation. I am surprised to find that APPLE has not yet come out with straightforward steps for stting up procedures to avoid this recognition issue. It is waste of time and causing lot of aggravation among iPad 2 purchasers.
Sounds like it could be your computer and not Apple. Sounds like some registry issues and/or other underlying problems.
What are your computer specs? Year? Manufacturer? RAM? Processor (type & speed, # of cores), OS (32 bit? 64 bit? Professional? Standard?) -
The real problem has been happening for a week now. Befefore I would click on firefox and it would take a moment or so to think about opening and before that if I clicked it would open right up. Now no matter how many times I click it won't open. It does seem to think about opening because the little hour glass shows up but after a moment of showing up it goes away as well.

If you stillhave the problem after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod you have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

The message we get when we try to restore says "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to shut down." We're trying to restore. The ipod is currently in the DFU restore mode. How do we get it to complete the restore?

IPhoto 9.5 won't recognize USB card reader.
I loaded Mavericks this week with iPhoto 9.5. But now iPhoto will not read a card reader and gives me a message that the card reader was ejected improperly. When I force quit iPhoto and reopen, it won't open the card reader so I can import pictures.
