Web Forms Email Notification

Possibly dumb question here, but it's my first time with Business Catalyst and I'm working with a site someone else set up, so please forgive me.
The client has a web form that takes consultation requests. Submissions go into the database, and the client gets an email. Currently, the email goes to [email protected]; they want it to go to [email protected] I've been looking though BC for the last hour and can't find anywhere where this is controlled. Where do I change the email address these notifications go to?

Why do I only see Web Forms & Email settings in the Site Manager for a WebMarketing Site? Where did everything else go? I'm trying to upload a pdf file and that function is gone in BC.

If you have published the site via Muse, Please try this
In Admin Panel, on your Right Hand side top, Mouse over on your name and Go to "My Details". You will see a check box "Enable online content editing". Check this box, Click save and logout. Login again, and goto site manager, you will see some more options like File manager

Web Form Email Advice

I have designed a web form using for people to enter their contact details and request information from my site. How do I then make make that form send the info to me in an e-mail? I am using a webhosting service for my website and e-mails (register365.com).
I don't want to store the data in a database or anything - am a newbie so go easy on me please

Well, that would depend on what language your using.
IE: PHP, HTML, etc.

Hi All,
I have a working web form that successfully sends plain text responses to my email address on submit

I have a couple of queries...
1) How can i remove the submit:Send Message button from the reply.
2) I would like to add formatting options to the reply so the questions are bold and the answer is in normal text. Also i would like to add a line between each section so that each section is clearer to read and less clustered. I have read about HTML email responses but I am unsure if this is the best option for me to use.
Any help would be appreciated

Freee account for receiving email notifications

I am a paid plus user and would like other in my department to receive some of my forms email notifications. The instruction state they only require a free account to recieve the notifications. How do they sign up for the freee account. The only options at website are Basic and Plus, I do not see a Free option?

Web form integration in CRM

CRM processes Web forms much the same as regular emails. Logically there are 3 parts for Webform to CRM integration:
a) External web application: This is the application hosting the web form page.
b) Webform to Email conversion: The external application needs to convert the web form data to an email and send to CRM.
c) Webform fact gathering service (CRM): The webform fact gathering service analyzes the email structure extracts relevant information and adds this to factbase. This information may be used during rule evaluation or for other purpose.
To facilitate processing of Web forms, the external application first converts Web-form data into standard email format (i.e., SMTP) with an XML attachment. As a convention, you must name the Web form WEBFORM.XML.
Technologies such as Sun JavaMail or Microsoft ASP.NET can perform the conversion as long as the resulting email contains an attached XML document with the following mandatory tags:
1. name of the Web form
<WEBFORM_ID> </WEBFORM_ID>
2. ID of Web form email address as defined in the CRM system; determines the u201CFromu201D email address
<WEBFORM_ACCOUNT> </WEBFORM_ACCOUNT>
3. ID of the inbound CRM email address as defined in the CRM system (transaction CRM_ERMS_OUTG_EMAIL)
<ERMS_EMAILID> </ERMS_EMAILID>

Create a Recovering/Changing Password web form and send email notification

Hi all
I am looking for a web page or application that will allow an user to change his/her database password. I am thinking about those web forms where end users enter the current password and the new password, hit submit and the new password gets activated. Then the web form send an email notification
The database is an Oracle 10G database.
Is there any template similar to this one http://www.asp.net/learn/security/tutorial-13-vb.aspx for an Oracle database?

Write a stored procedure that uses native dynamic SQL and just pass in the new password.

Web form - Contact Us Form is not sending out notification emails

I created a very simple webpage myself, basically what it does is to tell customers that leave you email here and we'll let you know when we open.
This was my process:
Built the webform in Muse;
Published;
Added a new domain;
Configured the nameserver at Godaddy's side;
Came back to my Adobe Business Catalyst Admin Console;
Modified the webform a bit more through Site Manager -> Web Form;
Updated by hitting the 'Update' button;
Now, the Autoresponder Email is sending to my customers as described. However, I never receive anything that tells me 'Hey, a new customer just sent you an email and here it is.'
Anyone knows why? Is it because I didn't setup GoDaddy right? or if it's something wrong with the mail server since I dont have one? But my customers got the autoresponder email...Raaaaa I'm so confused.

If you log in to your business catalyst site, and select your webform, and click the 'notification e-mail' button, does it contain the email address you expect?

Web form: can't get phone number to show up in email notification

Hi there,
Your phone number field name doesn't match any of the BC's phone number fields. You have name="PhoneNumber" there, but BC names are name="HomePhone" and name="CellPhone".
Try reinserting that form onto a page and submitting it.

Yes, you can configure FormsCentral to send an email everytime the form is submitted to FormsCentral.

Can I receive notifications based upon user answers on a web form?

I currently use another form service and I'd like to change to Adobe across the board. I have a web form that my customers complete so they can access their original image for download. It is a 5 question survey. If a customer selects, "I'm disappointed" I get an email notification with their response letting me know they are unhappy. I don't want to review every response to watch for them because it would be thousands of emails per day during busy season. Is this possible with FormsCentral?

Web form submit to external email address

I am trying to submit web form to email on external email server.
I have followed the following: however - I get email message as the Administrator that this email address does not exist in the system. Is it even possible to route to external email server?? Am I missing something?
&Email=[email protected] - The email adddress to which the submission is sent. Replace “[email protected]” with your email address.
Note: The email address that will be receiving the form submission must exist in either your sites CRM (customer database) or be a admin/email user of the site.
If the email address being used to receive these form submissions does not exist as a site user or in the CRM, then the email will not be sent. A notification will be sent to the partner of the site advising them of this requirement.
&Subject=This+is+email+subject - The subject of the email. Make sure you separate each word in the subject with the + (plus) sign.
&EmailFrom=[email protected] - The from email address. Replace [email protected] with the email address you want to use for the submission.
&PageID=/DestinationPage.html - The URL of the landing page presented to the visitor after the web form has been submitted.

Very Disappointing. You fill out a Form and you can't get the Form via E-Mail :-(
Only the information you filled in in the empty fields.
I designed a contract formular for customers.
The customer fills out the PDF in the web form.
Via E-Mail notification i get the infos the client entered in the form.
But not the PDF itself.
So i have to enter the web frontend search the data and download the filled in form from there.
After downloading the form i have to e-mail the form to the customer and the mailing list by hand ...
I would think that it is an obvious feature that you can e-mail copy of what is entered (together with the text of the formular!) as an pdf attachement and not only the entered fields ...
Maybe someon can check this feature request. (Attach entered form as PDF to the notification E-Mail).
It would also be great if you would have the possibility to enter an E-Mail Adress for CC insinde the formular :-)

Schedule webi report to destination to Inbox AND send email notification

I'm writing a new process that will schedule a webi report. The output of the report needs to be delivered to multiple user's BO Inboxes AND an email notification (without the report attached) needs to be sent telling them that they have a new report to view in their Inbox. Trying to mimic how this is done via CMC Schedule - Notification and Destination tabs.
I can get it to deliver the report to the Inbox and I can get it to send an email seperately, but the problem I'm running into is that I can't get it to do both in the same process. Here is the code snippet that I've written. Any assistance would be appreciated.

One thing to keep in mind is that "scheduling to SMTP" is different from "scheduling with email notification", and it looks like you're conflating the two. The ISchedulingInfo.getDestinations() is the access point for scheduling to SMTP and ISchedulingINfo.getNotifications() is the access point for scheduling with Notification.

You'd add the SI_PROGID of the SMTP Destination here, and work with the returned IDestination to set the destination parameters.

Is there a way to attach files linked in FormCentral form to email notifications?

As part of my FormCentral form design, the end User is required to link a file (copy of Purchase Order). Is there a way of forcing this file to attach to the email notifications? I can obviously see the file attachments in the backend and download from there, but it would be preferable if I could deliver with the email notification to circumvent other processes.
Any suggetsions?
